Stack bleeds. We can stack them faster than they can cleanse them. Just keep stacking and stacking and stacking them and their health will slowly go down. If your conditions do enough damage they’ll completely negate their health regeneration and because we can stack our bleeds/other conditions so quickly all this leaves is to keep the pressure on.
They take a bit longer than other professions but as someone here has already stated it’s totally doeable.
My best advice would just be to do everything in your power to keep conditions on them at all times. When they hammer-stun you should be the only time you’re not applying them. Even then, you could use Spectral Armor or Spectral Walk to break the stun and continue to apply them.

Problem with this is, endure pain. Endure pain keeps popping up. While they are healing from the healing signet.

Hi guys, I play condimancer and roam alot with it. I just can t figure out how to kill a Lemongrass + Melandru warrior. I try putting as much condis on him as possible, but they are gone very quickly. I try to use the Signet of Spite fear combo, he get’s on half his health and uses Endure pain. He keeps stunning me too with hammer. These warriors are always Hammer , GS use lemongrass and melandru.

I hope you guys can give my some tactics for defeating them.

Well a guildy and I were in the same party. I entered the instance and like any other instance every party member get’s the pop up screen. ^^

They could have come up with any other kittening mechanic, like no healing skills or you have to use melee no ranged kittening ANYTHING but reflecting conditions and forcing people to just deal flat damage. Necromancers have like maybe 2 skills that don’t apply a condition..

A template is a string of characters that is saved to your PC when you select the in-game option “Save Template”, found in the Skills and Attributes Panel (default key is K). This will save your current skills and attribute points so that you can load them at a later date. ~Guild Wars (1) wiki.

I play this game since the release but I miss one key element from the old game; templates. Ofc the wholle build system is diffrent and you now you have to pay a little fee for changing your build. So here is my Templates in Guild Wars 2 idea

-You can load templates in one of the major cities (the fee and the retrainer will be nuked)(This prevents people switching builds in dungeons or other places in the game).

-Templates will show: Weapons , Slot skills and traits (it won t show the armor type you are wearing)

-Templates will work like item codes; you can put them in chat and you can share them with anyone.

-Like in the old game, you can save templates.

I hope Arenanet will look at this idea.

2,3,5,6,9 are just jokes. Those builds are not good in WvW. Deffinitly MM is really bad at WvW

I suggest deleting and creating a warrior.
Seriously though, 2500 armor is nothing, my ranger has between 2800 and 3000 depending on build and my war has 3300.

Ever heard of light, medium and heavy armor classes? It’s normal that a light armor prof (like ele) has such armor.

Agreed with all of you. I wish Necro had a bit of mobility too I can t catch up as necro against wars or thiefs who are running the wholle time out of combat

I play condimancer necro and tbh diamond skin is not that good. I just spam DS skills on the ele and if his health goes under 90% I will CC him like crazy. They finnaly drop down. I’ve got more problems with melandru and lemongrass warriors.

Hmm sry I wasn t specific. The slot skills won t work sometimes. I believe I have a vid up where spite is activated but it won t put any condi at my target (not dodgeing, blocking or out of range).

That’s kind of the point… Thieves are masters of 1v1 and escape by the class’s definition. Besides you cant deal damage during it, and also its only a few seconds. Warriors get a trait like this so its not that far fetched. It would allow you to turn the tide a bit or run away.

Yeah but wars can t stealth at their own. Thiefs can put condi on you , go stealth get out of combat and return with you still in combat.

Yes let’s nerf ranger, because they are soooo op. Best class ingame.

Hi guys I’ve got one question. I play necro and always if I fight a thief , he will (perma)stealth with pistol and keep giving backstabs. Still that’s not the problem I will DS3 him (fear) and I imidiatly deal as much dps as posible. The thief goes into stealth and if his stealth ends he has full health again. I understand he would probaly uses his heal in Stealth,but everytime if he goes out of stealth he is fully healed.
What is the secret behind this?

I know they have a stealth heal but I believe that has a big CD (like others). I know thiefs have that evade with a small CD, but that won t heal you to full right?

I hope you people can awnser me.

I’m looking for a build for necro that works well in both PvE and WvW. If anyone has any that they could share and have any tips on how to play the build it would be much appreciated!

I’ve got a build. 0/20/20/0/30 staff/Ds condimancer. Works fine in PvE and WvW. Most people do not like staff specced or DS condibuilds because it isn t in the “Meta”. Still I use as slot skills: Consume condi,Blood is power,Corrupt boon for WvW (otherwise Well of Darkness or signet of locust in PvE) and I use Epedemic. I use plague form as elite.

I’ll be honest, I started watching these expecting some of the more interesting Nem builds…. I suppose those were mostly PVE, but still… and saw the classically overused condition build and the widely accepted and overpowered Lyssa runes.

I don’t blame you for running that setup, but it is the most abused setup that so many others are running, and most forgiving. This seemed more like a video about the most powerful build, with the greatest opportunity to make mistakes and still come out on top.

It is a shame the innovators in this game are reduced to this in PvP, to be successful, because of the imbalance of the other classes specific builds and other rune sets. At least they are looking into one part of that equation soon.

Every single balance change to necros since the burning patch has been around balancing and making THIS build weaker, at the cost of other possible builds. Now, I actually find even with the lyssa runes, this build is reasonably well balanced in PvP, because of the reduced burning time and reduced bleed stacks.

Anyhow not dogging the videos, they are always well done and well explained, just a little put off by the build.

Well… i know what you are saying, i even got into a big argument with a lot of people from the dungeon forums over diversity. I even made videos about it and i definitely accumulated a lot of haters because of it… so… no one can say i am not up for diversity.

But… at the same time i’ve been running this build ever since dhuumfire… other builds got weaker meanwhile, just to nerf this build, so now it’s like the only good thing i could play, imo. So… i get what you are saying, but in PvP, if you are not going to bring your best… you are done for, cause the other players/classes will bring their best…

Well I run an condimancer Deathshroud build. No Lyssa just undead runes. I love people who think Lyssa is op; corrupt boon and bye bye Lyssa. My condi DS build isn t weak and easy to run in PvX.

Srsly though why are you guys fighting. My guild gets wiped much do we care? No lol. We only gg them if they are in the same numbers as we are (normal raid/roam is about 7 players). If we get wiped alright fine we will take revenge next time. We won t flame them. Same in duels, I never flame my opponent when he finishes me of, I invite him to the party for a gg.

I know back in the days I were a MM. Necrotic Traversal didn t work either. Still I am no MM anymore (because I think it a bit boring) so I am not the expert XD

Indeed I’ve got quite annoyed that Necro’s do not have any mobility. The lack is just too big.

Still DS is an amazing mechanic, sadly we can t use it either for stomps (except if you learn the DS stomp trick, still you have to get the 30 SR trait that gives you stability upon entering DS (foot in the grave).

I work with a survivable build, do some stuff with that and duel with that. I also upload vids on Youtube about my duels. What I came to the conclusion is Necro is the best counter class in Gw2.

Mesmer- Zerker : Corrupt boon + terror fear bye bye, Condi mesmer: Corrupt boon + condi transfer.

Warrior-chill and poison , bye bye

Engi- Power Engi: corrupt boon +terror fear combo , Condi Engi: Transfer condis

Guardian- corrupt boon + terror fear combo + poison(inc of condi cleanse)

Ranger- Zerker: corrupt boon if he uses rampage as one otherwise terror fear combo. Condi Ranger: Condi transfer.

Thief- Perma stealther: AOE spam + terror fear combo. Condi thief: condi transfer

Elementalist- Zerker ele: corrupt boon + terror fear combo. Diamond skin Ele: DS + (if you have it Fleshgolem).

Well these are my tactics I defeat my oppnenents in a 1v1.

Alot of people were saying: Necro got major nerf because of Diamond skin ele , well Diamond skin ele’s are quite easy to kill. Or the spec hell lot in Water and Earth magic so they will have no dps or they do not spec in water and are quite glassy.

Hi guys I’ve got some problems with EotM,

- Can t enter EotM nor regular WVW: World vs. World is unvaible while matches are being updated. Please try again in a few minutes……

-If you get pushed back into the ’’abyss’’ you will die and still stay in combat. This is quite frustating because you can t leave the combat.

-server kicks you out same reason listed as above.

My friends had the same problems. Still they can enter EotM and I can t.

GvGs would be awesome :C I create quite some topics about GvGs , they all died though :C

I love rangers (even I do not play one) I think indeed that people say they are bad. But I duelled some very good ones. If you are a ranger and you do duellish Pvp or WvW videos. Tell me and I sub. The really duel channals are just War , thief ,war ,thief ,war ,war,war ,mesmer , war ,thief ,mesmer,war,mesmer,war,mesmer ,thief, guardian , war , thief ,guardian. (You get where I go with this)

I would love to C some duels from rangers/necro.

I play necromancer myself and alot of people switched to thief/war/mesmer.

Well since I leveled 8 characters lvl 80 , I started wondering what can I do , what can I do?

After that I went to obsidian sanctum did the achievement for the jp. But I saw people have duels. And suddenly I wanted to join. So now I am addicted to duels and create videos on that. I fell in love with pvp too (sadly I do not have my own gear but whateva). If the gear pvp update goes live, I guess I will play PvP like Tf2. Choosing my class etc. etc. I still love WvW duels more because I have the feeling it’s a bit more intense. (and more fun with the food buffs (that creates a wholle new layer of tactics)).

As overall I love duelling and pvp. Try it!

(Downed) Fear: Make it an aoe, so we can fear away all people trying to stomp us, and not just 1 out of 5 trying to do it at once.

i support this fix.
make it an aoe fear just like the warrior shout fear me!

range 0 – 200 3 seconds fear
range 200 – 400 2 seconds fear
range 400 – 600 1 second fear

I still call it a bit OP, but still I would love to have these fixes going

1. First screenshots show me facing away from the NPC mesmer in the hotm when using Corrupt Boon. I successfully turn his 6 stacks of might into weakness.

2. Second screenshot: Blood is Power when facing away. The combat log registers the direct damage done to the golem. I self inflict 2 stacks of bleeding but there are no conditions on the NPC.

3. Downed Fear: I went down in a spot with several golems standing in a straight line in front of me. I then fear the 3rd and 4th golem, which clearly shows that the skill does not hit first in line.

Hmm very interesting , I will put my findings this weekend at this forum. I believe I recorded a duel where corrupt boon isn t working (signet of spite too but that doesn t matter).But I thank you, because I didn t believe you. Now I do and now I am confused aswell XD.

Well in mu case: Blood is Power always succeeds, corrupt boon at the other hand will only corrupt the boon if you are facing that person.

And still nope downed number 2 : Fear still doesn t work as intended.

I don’t know what else to tell you. It’s not like this when I play the game.

Can anyone else test and report their results?

Well apparantly we were both wrong.

-corrupt boon doesn t work if you are not facing the target.
-blood is power doesn t work if you are not facing the target.
-Fear (number 2 downed skill) is still first line in sight.
