Because it is just a few pixels, who gives a crap? It doesn’t affect me.
Yes I was there, yes I have them. Unless I was an over entitled and shallow jerk that wants to be a special snowflake then I’d say no. Thankfully I’m not.
Someone wearing ‘X’, ‘Y’ or ‘Z’ pixels doesn’t affect you. On the other hand it increases the playing experience for those who missed some temporary ill explained joke content.
Same. I really couldn’t imagine my life being so empty that I would feel some sort of pride in having some goofy skin in my collection that I wanted others to never have. GW1 has it right in letting new players and old players alike to get a chance at whatever special item that used to be some lame one time thing up for grabs once the occasion pops again each year.

I don’t play for more than 2 hours at a time and when I do, it’s not really spent in the same zone. Like for instance I will jump into the karka shell farm briefly until I finish getting all the gathering nodes they pass by in Southsun which is only 15 mins at the most until I break off after the steampipe steading event where you have to blow up those 4 karka nests, and then I do that golem repair event in the area where all those burrowing wurms are, but nothing that would warrant DR is spring up I would think. I’m probably in Southsun no more than 40 mins (unless I start helping clearing the settlements for karka queen spawn but that’s only another 5 minutes maybe).
After that I hop to the zones that are rich with iron ore nodes and do whatever random events pop up near them usually if it’s part of dailies.
Just seems weird I haven’t seen events reward me silver since the 15th in high level zones, though I guess the repair cost going away would explain the nerf somewhat.
I tried giving this schedule a chance but I can’t seem to make it to most of them. I’ve only been able to do Karka Queen a lot and yesterday I was lucky enough to zone in Straights of Devastation while a zerg was pushing to Balthazar.
Also wouldn’t it have made sense to put this schedule in game instead of having to look it up on the forum?
You need to make these bosses and events more open like they used to be.

I tried finding an answer in the patch notes but all I saw was:
Event and champion rewards have been changed.
I knew about the champion bags getting nerfed but was their ever a reason stated for events now only giving the 80 or so copper instead of like almost 2 silver rewarded for completing events (at level 80) prior to this feature patch?

Which unless the numbers have changed, means that 500,000 or so karma is free and loose, as it takes about 1 million karma to obtain the necessary clovers and friends.
If your method is that guaranteed though, feel free to use all the karma and we’ll just go straight to Sunrise as said item. Either way works for me.

I’ve never used mine either and I too would like to know this.
Not surprised by them trying to push another ridiculous schedule on everyone. Look how messed up their 2 week living story schedule is. They literally want all players to be on their schedule to play temporary content or miss out on it (and items/skins) forever.
Who ever is making these decisions doesn’t appear to be very observant or is just plain dismissive of anything not on their agenda.

How does this work with ascended armour transmutated with cultural skins?
Exactly my question. They didn’t answer anything about all the transmuted ascended equipment. Generally speaking game sees it as the transmuted item (like fractal ascended sword will be seen as fractal sword with pink stats) so I think they will remain soulbound.
If not soulbound, then most likely only the race that the cultural armor is assigned to would be the only characters (if you have more than one of the same race with the same armor type) able to wear them until transmuted again, from what I understand.
Wow, great news! I never dabbled in the ascended stuff because I could never make up my mind with what character I wanted to use them on. I guess it’s time for me to finally ditch my exotic equipment and get started on my ascended crafting and purchasing ascended trinkets from the laurel vendor.

I’d just wait it out until the patch goes live. After re-reading and re-watching the dev blog and video it seems like as long as the item is bound to your account in some way (even if it’s a deleted character) it will most likely pop up in your wardrobe vault.
This is a good question and I can’t find the answer anywhere. I hope they make a FAQ soon.
All back skins go into the wardrobe if I understand correctly, though I am still uncertain if ones you have equipped already automatically go in or if you have to double click them once for it to happen. Once the patch goes live and it doesn’t let you do anything with it you could always contact support to try and help you.
I’m extremely excited and cannot wait until April 15th. I wish they would put up a FAQ though instead of merging threads or deleting ones with valid questions in them.

The unused skins I have sitting in my bank, if I understand right: On the April 15 patch, I log in, and just double click every one of them and they all go into my wardrobe? Am I understanding this right? Or do they just automatically get converted into the wardrobe as soon as I log in?

They will most likely keep making ridiculous achievements like this complimented with bugs and unpolished, weakly tested content that the achievements will be based on.
I can think of a few LS chapters that had some achievement of this type, the one that stands out for me the most was the Cutthroat Politics ones where you had kill a certain number of loot bag aetherbutts before a timer runs out and before they get too many stolen loot teleported to their ship while dancing around veteran mobs that had HP and almost the same damage as a champion mob.
After the uproar on the forum, instead of nerfing them slightly so more players could get a chance at obtaining the achievements, they decided it was bugged and added more mobs to spawn.
It was only out for 2 weeks as well, and I don’t ever recall even the best prepared teams being able to get “gold” completion for the events in that instance, because besides having to prevent the looters from making it to their despawn points, you also had to kill a lot of these badly scaled mobs that were basically champions disguised as veterans to complete the event with gold. The most I could remember were organized groups saying they got silver a bunch of times, at least the ones who posted on the forums.
As has already been mentioned in this thread, I’d rather achievements of this difficulty be permanent and not be given only 1 week to complete it due to bugs that keep piling up because of their silly 2 week release schedule. It’s better to let people work their way up to this type of stuff at their own pace, and it gives ArenaNet more breathing room to come back and clean out some bugs and anti-griefing measures (like kicking inactive players from the turrets for Tequatl).

Yep, another Blackgate guest here, and we all organized, buffed from consumables, stayed tightly stacked, and got the achievement with like 15 seconds to spare. We might have killed them a little faster but the green knight I was at had a lot of people not WPing after dying (they might have been AFK).
Hope everyone else who are going for this achievement get lucky getting into a populated main like I did.

I don’t care much for this achievement myself and have never really tried to get organized for it (most I have done is grab vigil valiance and pop that scarlet enemy buff that drops a lot) but I feel it was made it bad taste. It just seems wrong to make something like this for 2 week content, especially with how buggy it is.
Just remove it and replace it with more loot for players organizing and killing them under the allotted time IMO.

We have been tracking the reports of the issues with ‘Six Minutes to Knightfall’ not awarding and we are still investigating the issue… It is quite the elusive problem, even with the information and screenshots we’ve received from players. We have not, however, dismissed the issue and I will keep this thread updated as we work on a solution.
I would just remove the achievement if I were you all. You shouldn’t make such extreme achievements like that for 2 week content. It’s perfect for permanent bosses like Teq and the 3-headed Wurm, but not this. Just give players extra loot (like more Ultimate Rescue Bags) instead for organizing and killing them that fast since it’s taking forever to fix this bug and only a week left for people to get it.
These recent “fixes” and the achievements themselves are in really bad form; very disappointed.
I was getting some champ bags every other kill the past day, but now with the latest patch I’ve gotten none on 6 assault knight kills so far, just gold participation credit for their events.
I keep getting hit by the laser as soon as my load screen finishes every time I step through the portal, right after the third assault knight dies. Am I supposed to wait a certain time before stepping in? Does anyone know how to bypass this? I don’t get any chance to react as I am already in a downed state once I am loaded into area.

Oh, heh, that actually makes sense. I’ll try waiting a minute or so and see if that helps. Just frustrating as I’ve done the Scarlet battle 7 times now and each time I was downed and then dead within 10 seconds.

I dunno about anyone else, but I get kicked from the airship after logging out/back in and I have the permanent airship pass. It places my character in front of that little golem that scans you for the pass and tells you if you can or can’t go onboard.
But yeah, the Royal Terrace should get an Activity NPC.
I was pretty disappointed when I read about this in another thread. I would have assumed they’d have an old LA map to load up for these instances, but nope. I am hoping it wasn’t intentional as there seems to be an especially large number of bugs in this patch.

That’s just awful. I would have figured the old untouched Lion’s Arch would load for these instances… :/ I guess Anet didn’t have enough time to work something like that in with the silly pace they want the LS to be.

Yeah, I was surprised at how fast I knocked out most of the achievements. I pretty much jumped right in after I got home from work, and once I left an instance of LA’s evacuation, I noticed I already had 9/15. I then read up on the achievement descriptions of the remaining ones and got all but the ‘Memories in your hand’ in the next 2 rounds. Some of them I am certain I got lucky with, as the escort achievements I read are either bugged or just really hard to pull off if you don’t have enough people.
It’s fun I guess if you like zerging, but I’m having more fun exploring LA in its current state and taking screen shots while looking for rubble.
Ah, I see. I haven’t really played much of the PS outside of my human guardian. I guess it makes more sense that someone powerful with magic is inside protecting themselves from the harsh elements outside of the force field. Also I remembered Scarlet was seen on the actual drilling machine in the cutscene.
Please fix this.

Aside from a title for utilizing your ‘entropy’ achievement and maxing out your ‘luck’ if you salvage more greens do you still get those luck things? Because that would be annoying.
Yeah, I’ve always wanted to know this. I’m nowhere near close to max (116% lol).
What’s this about a dragon that’s under terrain/map glitch? I’ve never seen or read about it until now.
Yeah, heroes are amazing in GW1. Also, I remember during one of the Flame & Frost updates a year ago, we got to two-man a couple of instances with Rox or Braham, and I had a blast. Braham was pretty useless but I remember Rox’s attacks were pretty good. I think this could be pulled off if the devs really wanted to.
Also Rox and Braham kind of helped you a little bit in the Scarlet’s Playhouse instance too IIRC.
Well, it’s not that hard. It would be possible to do it the same way as the personal story is made. It could be even extended personal story, so once you defeat Zaithan, a new danger appears and you do everything to stop Scarlet, going from point A to B in the world and entering instances.
This way, new players would be able to experience the story.
Yeah, I like this idea. Maybe they could tie in the achievements from the ‘Historical’ section so new players could be able to obtain them (and the skins/titles from them). Also, I’d like to see them throw in The Lost Shores in between Zhaitan’s death and the Flame and Frost stuff, so new players can get the Ancient Karka Shell 20-slot Box. I D/C’d like 30 times when it was actually live on servers but was lucky enough to get to loot the chest at the end, but I’ve always wanted to replay it in a more stable environment.
Happening on SoR in Malchor’s Leap during Dwayna event as well.
Edit Seems to have been fixed for us. We were able to play normally and beat the Dwayna events.

LOL, shame there hasn’t been as much outrage over the stupid RNG chest nonsense as this particular item has gotten, or that goofy fire armor set. “Pay to win” item or not, I want affordable weapon skins. You guys start outraging over that too, please.
Holidays plus they wanted to put more time into the remaining Scarlet story arc to make sure everything is right before releasing.
This break we’re having sure is nice though IMO.
If it meant bringing heroes back then I’d be all for it.
Meh, I have collected all the skins so far, and I wouldn’t mind new players getting a chance at them, or players who took a break. I noticed once a new back piece or skin is released, the previous ones you saw everyone have almost flat out disappear. So with every new LS installment, everyone looks practically the same with their new shiny, then it repeats again when more new shinies are out.
Letting past titles and skins become obtainable would balance things out and you’d see more people with different, cool stuff running around, like how it currently is in GW1.
I’m just not of the nature of locking people out of stuff.
Yeah I agree OP (think I might have posted in one of your threads about this before). On a side note, after looking at your screenshots of LS accomplishments, the historical section of achievements really is getting quite lengthy when you open them; I kept scrolling and scrolling… :O
