I wasn’t there so I have no idea what you’re talking about. And that’s the problem with temporary content.
It’s like being with 5 people against Tequatl or the 3-head worm, it needed a full map of people to play.
A lot of them where open world integrated. That’s not really integratable into your journal. And what do you want to do alone or with your 5 people party against the marionette?
But it could be a guild-startable event, such that your guild gets for an hour an event-map, resulting in a kind of guild scale ini.

Yeah that was the most impressive and funny (especially all the PvE players reaction! that didn’t experienced invisible enemies before. WvW player found that already normal at that time https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/Only-a-WvW-player/1667913) failure ANet had in Gw2.
Remembering back, I must say: I like that I attended it and concerning culling and lagging the game improved a lot since that time
Unfortunately Gaming experience developed the opposite: The more mega the events went, the more boring they turned out to be.

I mostlt stay away since mega-server. I liked doing them with a handful people before MS, but now you hardly meet a boss without 100+ people, and that reduce them to a few minutes autoattack and loot collection. Boring.

Happened to me as result of inet connection problems (I guess), server and client couldn’t fully agree where I am, maybe due to some lost packages.
No idea how it looked for others, it looked strange to me. But I had no interaction with ANet due to that.

They won’t get mega paid, if anything the price of cloth will drop to be inline with leather and mithril (as cloth users will get their own cloth now and not have to buy). Look at the disparity in costs with crafting cloth ascended versus leather or plate, its silly high. I hope this change will balance it.
This argumentation ignores the current ascended recipes:
- Crafting Light Armor need mostly clothes and a bit leather.
- Crafting Medium Armor needs mostly clothes and a bit leather.
- Crafting Heavy Armor needs mostly clothes and a bit steel.
Everyone needs mostly clothes to build his armor, but only cloth-weares get it.

But maybe the reformulation of your sentence is true as well:
Less people play WvW as there are no achievements that lure them into WvW.
The old ones are leaving the game one after the other (natural process) and if no new ones get lured into it the game mode dies out.

No, I not even opened the two Asc armor boxes I got so far, they have stats I have no use for.
During the era of Orbs, was perhaps the best time in WvW for gw2.
Hm, was that the orbs that made that it the best time, or was it simply: It was a new game, and you weren’t aware of all the optimizations and failures you know now.
I agree that the first year WvW was much better than the 2nd, but Orbs existed only for ca 4 month, and I never really played the orbs, I was mostly on EB while they existed.
A lot is going to depend on how this is actually implemented. Unless they actually come in here and clarify, I think the best we can do is really just wait and see. I don’t think it’s fair to say its going to be an issue, when we simply don’t know. It does possess the potential to be an issue, that is definitely true.
The best think is what we are doing: Pointing to an issue that may got overlooked. Still 2 weeks for minor repairs, like changing some numbers in some tables.
The only reasons I am able to imagine (probably I am to negative) are:
- season-transfer earn them a lot gem sales.
- after all non-transferring are already unhappy with seasons, this would make additionally the so-far transferring ones unhappy.

You just missed buying a 2nd account for just 19.99€
Data storage between EU (in Germany) and NA (in the US) is different to avoid long load time. In fact, transferring between NA and EU gives you quite a while time-out.
The solution is to just lock in the tiers using the rankings as of the WvW announcement. The next few weeks just shouldn’t count.
Not sufficient as a solution as well, would need an transfer-stop between announcement and end of league additionally.

You can sell all your gear and items and give the gold to your friend so you will not be starting from step 1. Or ask your friend to help you with gold to transfer gold to gems though i think its about 300G atm or more gold to gems is realty bad atm due to all the old items come back to the BLS.
Would really surprise me if deleting the last character reset your bank, achievements and/or your currency pocket. I never tried, so did someone tried this?
Leveling is rather fast, the only thing you loose is soul-bound items.
This is generally a good change, because it priotizes personal rewarding over trading post tactics. The advantages are worthier than the disadvantages.
But it isn’t the case! To craft an ascended heavy armor set you need 25 damask and only 16 deldrimor steel.

I don’t understand. As a guardian, you have just as much chance of getting silk (or any other mat) as any other profession. You don’t need to level an alt to get what you need for crafting. Silk is used across all professions, so you wouldn’t need to have a light or medium armor character to get silk.
Go read today’s update. They are making it more likely to get equipment you can use, meaning I will be getting more Mithril from salvaging heavy armor and less Silk because I’ll have less light armor.
The main problem with that is not the class and silk.
The main problem is (and always was) the level and linen, wool and cotton.
With my 8 lvl 80 char I never get enough of them, and always make a new char and level it such that it get during short 10 levels the stuff you need is the real mess.
Instead of the useless EXP boosters, I would like to get an EXP delayer.

You can change rental to leasing, after 400g are charged that way you own it
What an odd suggestion, what happens when you are commanding and there is a blob in the Lord Room of your T3 Garri and you commander tag rental runs out?
Could automatically charge 20s every 3h, while it is switched on. Only stops charging if you turn it off or logout or gets automatically off if you run out of money.

Should you be 1 or 2 game-years old now, you just got a zero to Lvl 20 scroll. After you did world-completion, put your not-soulbound inventory into the bank, delete your char and start a new one: voila all hearts to redo

I guess it will pop-up as one possibility for more balance, till the imbalance issue is resolved in one or the other way.
But during the last year ANet only actively increased imbalance by removing queue for overstacked servers (EotM) and reward further stacking with seasons-rewards for winners. So we will likely see it again and again for a while.

We are already very close, not many more gems to earn till it is reached.
There are 6 camps on each map. every 5min every camp spawn 2 dollies, thats a total of 144 per hours for 1 million dollies you need an absolute minimum of 6944 hours.
And I do not believe that it is possible to catch all the 12 dollies nor that always all 6 camps are enemy controlled, if you catch 4 every 5 min you are good and it would take 868 days of 24hour play, i.e. longer than GW2 is out now.

Before I did not assumed that. And having the gems and being willing to waste them for something “uninteresting like WvW” are two completely different pairs of shoes.
No, my proposal was to separate EotM team assignment from WvW team color and even from the WvW-Server you are enforced to choose even if you don’t want one.
So my proposal will have 0 influence on your WvW color.
Nothing that is going to encourage people to scream at each other to “get away from me” will ever, nor should ever, be introduced.
That’s why I used the squad in the proposal.
The commander squad (the 40 that where there first) is not harmed by this debuffed, and therefore doesn’t need to scream. And the ones that appear later, can decide on their own if they want to stay with the debuff, or better build a second zerg that runs somewhere else.
It won’t generate two zergs. It will generate two squads that run together. And a number of guilds that are primarily wvw are larger than 40 members. Are they forced to not play together?
The two commanders should be 1500 away from each, was the only restrition I put in on this. If the manage to put the enemy in the middle, sure they can cooperatively beat him.
I just want a avoid that more than 40 people stack together, heal each other, buff each other, condition remove each other, reduce individual damage from AoE (the more stack the less likely it hits each), i.e. gain all advantages of overstacking in 1 place without any disadvantage.
The current mechanics favors that all people that fit one map stack together. This should be countered, such that 40 becomes the optimal size and not 100.

WvW as it currently is, is 24/7 on 4 maps.
But today 80-90% of the time, capacity of the 4 maps is used to less than 10% on 95% of the servers.
It’s to empty to be fun anymore outside 3-4 hours primetime, which additionally are the least important time for match outcome.
I want that changed to get fights and competition again and not only PvD by a handful map-jumpers all night and day long deciding the matches.

No is uninteresting independent of it’s graphical presentation, why not would be interesting.
Of course you do not enforce marriages of existing servers, but do a complete reset.
delete all 24/27 current server,
setup 12 new WvW-teams with 1500 Glicko each,
let the people (that play WvW and only these, a person that doesn’t play a week looses server assignment) assign themselves to the new teams.
To make (and keep) it balanced a server that has 110% population (WvW population in this case, as pure PvE player hardly spend gems to assign) population compared to the mean of all servers is marked full.
See the way this works is if you don’t like your server due to whatever reason, you pay the gems to get out of it.
What this is asking for is for Anet to give that to you for free. Think about it that way and maybe you see why this isn’t happening.
There is aways a free way out. And today server population suggest that many already took it.
Yeah, in fact they neither want WvW nor EotM, they want a GvG mode, everything else is uninteresting for them, but only more or less expensive/convenient.

It’s not only SFR, it’s also that in the meantime people from others server do not go to EotM anymore, if they aren’t green. If SFR is not green but e.g. red, there are fights between SFR and green which green is able to win.
But yeah, if SFR is green, balance is finally gone.
If it continues like that, none beside green will be in EotM. which also means for green:
Game over after 5min, because nothing gets recapped.
(I am aware that currently the green commander NEVER attacks you if you attack something green, but ALWAYS attacks you if you attack something not green, but that doesn’t make the game more funny as well: Karma on the grant from the major power, rofl.)
There is of course also no need to put all from a server or even a guild to the same side in eotm. Not even a single player has to land on the same side not even within the same match and definitely not for a whole week.

Balance it the same way as random PvP is balanced: If a side has more than 10 people more than any other, 5 volunteers or random picked are transferred automatically by the system.
Then WvW is like team PvP and EotM is like random PvP, a distinction that has some sense.

No that’s not the point.
But if I am fleeing from under-populated and imbalanced PvD in WvW only leeds to landing in imbalanced PvD in EotM, i’ve to flee from the game.
I have resignied hoping that ANet will ever be able to fix WvW Balance, i still see a very small chance that they will be able to fix EotM balance in a way similarity to pvp balance.
You would not play pvp if you would always land in 5:1 matches. But exactly this always happens in WvW and EotM now.

Either it is unchangeable or it’s changeable at players choice (e.g. via NPC), anything else is just inconsequence and inconvenience .
Ignore WvW till ANet managed to fix it and really PLAY EotM, i.e. defend, fight, enjoy the screams of the karma-train, …
E.g. with just 3-5 people blue and green keep are nearly invulnerable. (or invulnerable to a Karma-train)

Mag does not have the population for gold…let alone silver. Seeing a mag player is very rare now.
I understood the season announcement as
NA has 2 league’s with 12 server each. (And EU 3 times 9)
Aa 4 rounds with 6 server are guaranteed repetitions and they said they tried to reduce repetitions, and the ranking table also say place 9-12.
Which makes silver (13-24) quite unreachable for Mag within 3 weeks.
