There are a lot of PvE JPs, if you want to train jumping around without enemies use these ones.

And if you want to solve the EB-JP without enemies, there is a simple way to do so:
help your world to capture and hold all 3 fortresses.

Hm in real world new foreigners aren’t put in the army as well and should they come originally from an opponent they sometimes even get be arrested.
Why don’t we have something like that in WvW:
- You are NOT allowed to enter WvW in a world where you are not resident since 14 days
- And your waiting-queue priority depends on the time of your residency on this server, i.e. being a loyal citizen on a world gives you a bonus over server-hoppers that clog your queue.

Rule 1 will also penalize new players that just bought the game. What you probably want is for rule 1 to be enforced on transferees.

Rule 2 will also penalize new players who may never get the chance to play WvW if they keep getting pushed back in the queue for older players.

Beside the fact that a new player probably needs at least 14 days to be in a shape (know the game, have some lvl, have some equip) to enjoy WvW:
Do it as in real world: new (born) players that are choosing their first world get full residentship, i.e. they are considered to be resident since launch date, or set a cap: everyone that is at least two month on a world is handled equally.

Which borderlands as well as which fortress on EB you get is fixed with the color yes.

It may be pretty dumb from a map-exploration point of view. But it is good from a match-balancing point of view. (green is the most difficult position and red the easiest.)

Skoti: Yes I said you can recruit replacements for leaving ones (or are inactive ones sorted out after a while? no idea!).
Single players may still come, but it’s hard to recruit a guild in that state. 1-2 get in, the rest has to wait …

Could be quite balanced matches.

And no, you cannot recruit new, you are full, you can only recruit replacements for leaving people. (Or recruit your own pve players for WvW)

Map Rotation?

The first (highest ranking at match-start) in a match is green,
the 2nd is blue, the third is red. New matches start every Sat 1am CET.
If you always have the same place you always get the same color.

Bravo for playing World V Door.

Lol, last week SFR won with New Year 0-5am PvD.
This week VS wins with 5-7am PvD. (and even get some sleep in the night )

Congratz to VS, for their fast and efficient adaptation to SFRs tactic
This way, you keep the time of the SFR PvD ticker very short!

And no one should cry about PvD. Everyone that reached T1 should have learned in the meantime, that a well timed and successfully implemented PvD run that turn all maps into your color is a decisive factor in wining a match

Allow Elementalists to swap between weapons

All classes, beside the Ele, have the possibility to equip a close-combat and a range-combat weapon(-set). But as Ele you are stuck to choose between between either everything long-, everything medium- or everything short-range.

I want a possibility to equip a mix of long and short range skills and switch between them.

If you spend enough money and server transfers remain open, yes, this can be another tactic. But you can easily make such a tactic inefficient by setting a maximum no of attacks a single player is allowed to declare per day.

And I proposed: attacking a commander allows the whole squad to fight you back for free, so you need a quite large group for that.

And yes, I think the possibility to fight your group of troublemakers is better than whats currently possible. Your “group of troublemakers” can:
- just enter WvW to block slots at main-time (if you like your server to win and like to camp in the JP, switch to the opponent and camp there during main-time),
- build useless rams from urgently needed supplies,
- start improvement during a siege to avoid wall/door repairs
- start improvement in a bad order, e.g. merchants before walls,
- being an not attackable scout/spy,
- claim a stronghold to avoid a claim that provides bufs,
- destroy golems deposited in save zone, e.g. by jumping down a wall/cliff.
- …
all the nice things currently possible to troublemakers. And the only thing you can currently do is watch and cry and maybe (if you manage to get a prove of sabotage) report to ANet.

They can attack other server for free, whereas they have to pay to atack their server.

The reason for this proposal is: Sociological studies (e.g. look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_dilemma) proved that such a thing (Give altruistic people a way to punish egoistic people) is a essential ingredient for group-efforts (the servers WvW-Team) reach optimal results (maximum Score in WvW).

I don’t see the obvious reason. Being in WvW is choosing to be in a PvP-area.
Why should PvP in WvW-area be restricted to anonymous people from other servers?
If you enter WvW you risk being attacked by people.
And if you manage to make a lot people from your server upset about you. You should be attacked by them.

Of course this must not be free. It must cost the attacker more than the attacked.

Most MMOs offer such PvP-enabled servers. Some I’ve played offer “Assasin-Masks” which make you an enemy of everyone on every server/Map.

DUEL:

Hanging around in a corner of a city, chatting and dueling is something I really miss In GW2.
/duel <player>
if the other agrees then you have 2(-5) min time to fight each other. Duel ends after this period or with the downstate (or dead) of one of the players. To avoid being stressed by such requests an auto-deny option can be turned on. (And all blocked players are auto-denied as well.)

That’s not covered by sPvP because sPvP is neither your choice of the opponent nor does it happen with PvE/WvW-clothes nor in the lvl you and opponent are currently.
It is not covered by WvW because WvW is not a fair duel nor can you talk with your opponent.

Mostly it’s fun, but it’s also a possibility to test and talk about gears and skills.
It should not result in repair costs.

ATTACK:

In WvW I miss a possibility to attack people from my own server.
If I am really upset about someone (e.g. the one that builds rams inside StoneMist for sabotage/achievemt from the supplies we worked hard for with Dolly-Escorts) from my server, I wana be able to attack him. This is in WvW-area only and this cost the declaring player money, e.g. 5 silver (~3 times as much as the attacked has to pay maxomally for repair), but it cannot be refused by the attacked player. It goes 5min or till dead as well. The dying player (being it attacker or attacked) has repair costs as usual. And the looser is send from WvW back to Lion’s Arch.
As soon as the attack is declared you are “in fight”, i.e. no WP-teleposts and ALT-F4 gives repair costs, till the attack is resolved or timed out as a draw.

GROUP-ATTACKS (could work cost free for group duels in cities as well):
If the attacker is in a party, every party-member is asked to join (and pay 5 silver) the attack. If the attacked player is in a party every party member is asked to support the attacked player. This has a timer like instance join.
It can be extended to commanders as well: If one commander declares an attack on another commander all squad-members of both sides are asked to join in, where all that join the attackers-side pay the fee.

What do you think?

Yeah.. Some ppl dont understand it but Server Population does not equal WvW population…

Hm, if I remember right they were only medium or high-pop (not even very high), when they postet:

You do not have to build Golems fast, you have anytime you want for building them.
You only need to transport them fast, i.e. with a mesmer portal line you can bring 20 (Thanks Intigo. ) of them to the door within seconds.

JP should not be in wvw or should have a 30 minute max stay or should only be accessible after each 50 wvw kills (for 30 minutes).

EB JP should be an own map with own people limit and own queue, own chat …

Name 3 "easy" improvements for WvW

1) a direkt live-feed from the servers point-ticker into a web-site like http://mos.millenium.org/matchups (an open API where everyone interested can receive them).
2) weighting of the points by the amount of people fighting for them (are in WvW), if noone is in WvW the ticker is not giving points, if all maps are full for all sides maximun points are given.
3) make siege weapons neutral: every side can use and destroy all of them, remove the auto-delete of them. Make 4 limits for them:
- one for each side for siege-weapons INSIDE owned fortifications (including all empty golems INSIDE and all outside golems manned by that side) and
- the 4th for all siege-weapons outside any fortification.
4) exlude neutral mobs and siege-weapons from auto-focus and auto fire and they are only hit by peoples AoE, if not one enemy is inside the AoE-radius.
5) Make honor-badges another currency (like exp or karma), every current-badge can be used to get 1000 honor pts, every kill gives honor pts (from 1 to 1000, depending on difficulty and contribution to kill), it is automatically collected like exp.
6) Add a 1vs1 duel mode query (with auto-deny option) for cities (or special parts of cities) maybe some, hoepfully some 1vs1 fans will use that instead of abusing WvW for duels.
7) Alllow /s speaking-bubbles of LIVING enemies be seen (and an options to turn that off)
8) Auto-respawn totally dead immediately to the entry-spawn (no resurrection of totally dead, no culling capacity wasted for dead, no dead-spying, no behind door reanimation-exploits), if they want to teleport to somewhere else they can do that from the spawn.
9) Make the eternal battleground JP an own map with own player limit and queue, if you go in you give up your slot on eternal map, if you go back you have to queue again for eternal (or exit to another map)
10) Remove the AoE (and negative effect) cap of 5 (or increase amount to the same amount that fits a mesmer-portal) it already has an area-size, healing and other positive effects should still cap at 5 => People should spread out instead of clump together to avoid AoE damage.

Thiefs are a pain in the a** in WvW, if you are alone and wana go back to your army.
But beside a few for scouting & stealth supply-line sabotage, they have nearly no influence on the outcome of a match.

In army fights Guardian, Necro, Ele and Warrior are much more effective.

The nice thing on my weighting proposal is that I see it perfectly in line with this official response from ArenaNet and still it is able to reduce the (currently very decisive) effect of night-capping.

In fact it solves a problem the current game design has with respext to ArenaNet statement.
Currently the impact of the night-time player on the outcome of the mach is MUCH higher than the impact of the day-time player. This imbalance would be reduced.

Search for “nightcapping” in the forum to find thousands of posts about this topic.

I once proposed (in the german forum) to to weight points by amount of players in WvW. Maybe you like it more than the german community, so here it is:

Each of the 4 map has a max of 166vs166vs166 ~ 500 for a total of 2000 player.
If all maps of all server are full there are 2000 in WvW and points are assigned as they are now.

If it is nighttime and a side brings say 100 people (and the other sides bring none)
to capture all points on all maps still only 100/2000 people are on map and points
are multiplied by 1/20.
If they go to bed and no one else comes, multiplier drops down to 0 again.

If you come in the morning, you still find your map in an ugly color, but at least the night-capper did not got 5 hours of full score while everyone was sleeping.

In resume: the more people are fighting for the points the more worth has their possession.

From my experience 99% of the players in WvW are afraid of a 1v1 fight. Okay, so WvW is about zerging, but how do you catch up to the zerg if you can’t get pass one enemy player?

1vs1 and NvsN have different best skills and equipment. If I wana play 1vs1 I go to sPvP,
if I go to WvW I wana win objectives for my world and solo-1v1-super heros are just an irrelevant mess that only waste my time and are best to be ignored.
