I don’t think that Vizu will be T1 next Saturday, it may win vs Elona and Deso, but it will not belong to the top-three scoring match winners, other matches will have higher scoring winners.
SFR can make it T1. as well as Jade and the winner of T6-T9 have good changes for a top-score as well, I would say.

So SFR managed to maneuver into a position of some easy Gold-Medals

Being top of T1 doesn’t always mean you are the best.

But it is the only objective measure we have.
So either the “top of T1” is the best
(and given the evaluation measure and the game-rules setup as they are now, it clearly is the best server)
or no one can be said objectively better than any other.

But for sure, best server says nothing (neither that they are good nor that they are not good) about quality of the players on this server.

It will be pretty much what it is now. Some servers will rotate places, as they do now.
Getting up when down and down when up, so i put them in a place-range.

Piken seems to be much weaker than Jade in the current match, so:

Before patch you had trouble seeing opponents when you are in a zerg of friendly players. Not nice but somehow understandable.

But now you do not see enemies any more when you are alone!

In one second you are totally alone and in the next second you are dead surrounded by an enemy zerg. This is really bad!!

@basjubowe: no need for a fix:
Vizu goes to T0 to the top of the wvw, the throne above the mortals
that fight (in T1 )for their right to come a bit closer (but can never reach)

Points, yeah you need some more of them, right?
We should invent T0 for Vizu alone,

@Huggyos: Yes +12 for one and -12 for the other bridges 24.000 pts difference (I ignored the last 3 digits behind the . as they are only fractions of points). And when I posted it an hour ago millenium.org showed only 23 difference and not 25 as it does now.

Shure there is one: Deso get 12 pts from SFR (was only 9 during the day where Deso was better than now). If Deso gets +12 and SFR -12 then the result will be

I heared that a few arbor.guild went to VS and a few arbor-guild went to SFR (to be able to fight VS) and the rest (most of them) to Jade Sea

Whenever I try to buy new armor for my lvling char in the trade-post I urgently miss a way to focus search on one type (light/fabric, medium/leader, heavy/metal) of armor.

I need armor for all body-parts, but only one type of armor for a char.

I think it would be much more useful selection than the body-part of the armor
(head, shoulder, …). Better of course would be able to have both criteria if needed.

Am sure even u will agree if deso goes to tier 2 it is because of tier 2 failure to compete with elona. However i think its good that we go to tier 2. It will avoid lot of bandwagon who will instead go to sfr. But i don’t think we will stay in tier 2 for more thank a week.

You will have a hard time preserving your rating points in T2 with the current setup:
Desolation 1 982.250
Kodash 1 849.199
Baruch Bay 1 753.849

To not lose rating points your match-score needs to be:
- three times BB with their rating 230pts lower than yours
- twice that of kodash with it’s 130pts less than you.
Especially vs BBs night-force this will be difficult.

My expection is that either SFR breaks apart till transfers close on sunday or you will stay longer in T2, because there is no one in T2 you can get points from.

So I guess Deso only change for T1 in the near future is to kick SFR instead of going yourself

Ignore negative posts of the opponents, react only to negative posts from your server, i.e tell them friendly that you fell ashame having them on your server.

If the majority is positive, the negatives will dry out with that.

As long as you aren’t on a server that always ends on the same place you do not need to transfer. Borderlands as well as position on Eternal are assigned based on ranking-position in your Match. (see http://mos.millenium.org/matchups )
First is green with green BL as home and the South-West area on Eternal
Second is blue with blue BL and South-East area on Eternal
Third is red with red BL and North area on Eternal.

I would rather prefer a strict separation of EU and NA WvW:
No EU allowed in NA WvW, no NA allowed in EU WvW.
At least it is nice that the battle-balance ruining free transfers will stop

The current difference between place 13 and place 18 is just 41 pts, it’s easy to jump over that.

I don’t like idea of loosing names due to inactivity.

But what is with the “slot in a server-population”?
How long do you count to the population of a server,
if you do not play? Forever?
If yes, will we once have Full-Servers with 10 only active players?

I would propose a server-deassignment (or free transfer, if you come back) after several month of inactivity (or counting only active players for the limit, but this may give trouble should a lot come back to play, e.g. for an event).

@MarzAttakz: Lol, Deso is in T1, isn’t that bad, is it? And I think Deso is healthy and stable. You (as well as us and VS) will easily survive the short time that SFR is better than we are.

Someone in the german forum said it is not FIFO, but FIRO (First in, Random Out ).
And even if I never measured that, it completely fits my experiences.

@GSTim: Obviously you did not noticed that they changed the way medals are assigned.
Formerly, Gold was assigned for rank 1 at the end of a match, Now, it is Gold for winning a T1 Match.
And I think this makes much more sense. You do not get the Tennis-Olympic Medal, for being No1 in ranking after Olympic-games, you get your gold-medal to win the olympic-match.

And SFR won T1 3 times so far, Blacktide won it 4 times, VZ won 6 and now Elona has 1 gold, because it won once (week 41) even if it never made it to rank 1.

I don’t believe in this one. Maybe in the short run, but in the long run only these server will be able to maintain powerful WvW-Forces. There will be hard-core GW2 players that will play GW2-WvW for years, but I don’t believe that they are a majority. In the long run only well mixed PvE and WvW servers with a healthy PvE, will have the new recruits needed to keep enough mass for successful WvW. Pure WvW-Server with just WvW population will just die out rather sooner than later (as people will move to other games).

(and our population level did not changed, it’s “very high” since month)
We just have less opponents now with Arbor losing it’s WvW population.

Hall of Monuments portal stone is a great way to get in a safe AFK spot. It’s free, you don’t have to logout, it teleports you to a safe place and teleports you back right there where you were when you are back.

You not even need that item: Open sPvP, choose to go to the Mist and you are save
if you choose to got back in the sPvP you land where you started.

It’s free as well.

Ranking-WvW has access limitations, if you are not in a guild of this alliance you CANNOT enter this match. So no way for bunch of players to waste slots by camping in the JP in a match. And if you made the mistake of having such guild in your alliance you can kick the guild out of the alliance and all these campers are ported back to Lion Arch immediately freeing up the slots for more wanted players. To simplify things, I would give the alliance leader even a WvW-kick <player> command. The player is kicked out of the WvW-match and ported to Lion Arch.

And there are a lot of people having fun fighting in the WvW-JP. They can do so in Casual WvW WITHOUT any influence on serious matches. (and without any kicks or access restrictions)

Separate Profi- and Casual-WvW-Players such that each can follow his fun undisturbed.

It may not completely solve this currently EXISTING problem, but I think it will reduce it, because a lot of strong guilds will switch it’s engagement from casual to ranking WvW.

In the current WvW two different and conflicting incentives are mixed up.

(I) Casual-WvW: Event-based and personal Achievements
(II) Ranking-WvW: Match-Win and Ranking of Worlds

These 2 different incentives are pursued by different set of players and
the WvW-Forum is full of complains of one side against the other:

(I) complaining about (II):
- Whatever we do there comes a 100man group running over us.
- I rarely see a single (small group of) enemy and if I see one, he doesn’t fight but run away
- They want to force us to be in TS (they always spam TS), but I do not want to be in TS
- The guild-group plays without commander-lamp turned on, they exclude us
- These commanders want me to follow their commands, but I want fun
- I don’t want to be in this high tier, lower tiers are much more fun
- ….

(II) complaiing about (I)
- They only hang-around in the JP and do not support our world
- All this PvE-content in WvW attract to many players that do not defend our world and should be removed
- These randoms fill up our queue, the organized players cannot enter
- I cannot turn my lamp on, because that atracts randoms
- These ramdoms do not follow my commands
- These random destroy my sneak attack by attacking PvE mobs
- These random hinder us to reach a better rank
- These saboteura ruin our war effort.
- …

I think the WvW Forum shows that there is a lot of conflicts caused by the MERGE of those
two different incentives into a single WvW-mode.

I propose that WvW is split into two modes as sPvP is split into two mode.

Casual-WvW:
As WvW is now, but WITHOUT any kind of score-ticker, score, match-win and ranking.
It is open for everyone. The servers that play against each other are choosen randomly.
And as there is no match and no win, it probably a good idea to change the enemies
every 24h to have more diversity.

Ranking-WvW
This is no longer world vs world vs world, but instead a guild-alliance vs guild-aliance vs guild-alliance
Different guilds agree to join (before the match) an alliance lead by one guild, they do not need to be
on the same server. I guess for technical resons they should be all either NA or EU, but it would be nice
(esp. for 24/7 coverage) if this restriction can be dropped.
The alliance leader can kick (or refuse the join) of a guild and any guild can kick or join members.
Only members of a guild (that represent that guild) in that alliance are allowed to enter
Ranking-WvW for that alliance. Therefore the alliance leader has complete control about who can enter WvW.

The alliances play a match against each other with scoring as today
(or with dynamic scoring as proposed in https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/Dynamic-Scoring)
and the alliances get ranking points as today. However there need to be a way to break down the ranking
to the guilds that form the alliance, because alliances may not be stable.
For example: The total score of the alliance is assigned to each guild as well, or assigned by contributed
man-power-hours, i.e. the members of guild A spend a total of 15000hours in the match, members of guild B
spend 5000hour in the match, so A get 3/4 of the score and B 1/4 of the score.

When a new alliance is formed the alliance score is the sum of the guild scores.
the top-three alliances build T1, and so on.
Matches run as usual ( from saturday 1am CET till saturday 1am CET).
Registration of an alliance must be done up latstly Xhours before match start.
The the alliance score is determined as sum of the guild scores and matches are set up.

I like it because I think it captures the basics of:
A map-point is worth more score-points, while more people fight for the control of it.
(and nothing while no one cares about it)
