Your going to run into a political/ideological debate with this question. Most of the usual’s in the BLTC forums are American and with extremely high self interest. Even by US standards, they are extremely to the right of the majority. Now, why am I pointing this out, because they won’t see a problem with exclusivity!!! In fact, they want as much of it as possible to deny others as much as possible. How else are they going to justify how Awesome they are, F yeah!

btw… for the whole “they worked for it” argument, that bs has to stop. Work is not rewarded equally in this game. Not as long as this games reward system has the large lottery basis to it. Playing the same game mode, for a similar duration, with the same effort, can reward one player 10’s of gold. Meanwhile, this same game mode, duration, and effort can reward another player with thousands of gold. The was no extra “work” involved in the difference in earned income. And yes, this comes back to Precursors.
Yes! I really like the concept of going from Ascended to Legendary. It would help with the outrageous prices of existing Precursors. Also, help with the eventual vertical progression of Legendary everything else. No doubts they’ll add Legendary Armor, Backs, and Trinkets eventually.
Best is hard to quantify based on player “game mode” preferences. Running Dry Top and other zones helps not only your own personal wealth, it helps the GW2 economy in general by creating material supply. Speed clearing certain Dungeon paths is a very efficient source of gold. Though gold from Dungeons is quite inflationary. So I choose not to do them personally.
Generating personal wealth in this game is basically a lottery system. Precursors suck any fun, balance, or sense of fairness, to generating personal wealth. The game is designed to get you 75% to where you want to be, then have a large grind “encourage” you into buying gems. Because the “best” or most efficient way of making gold, on a gold per hour basis, will always be buying gems. Even if you set aside $5 an hour from a job, that equals 38.46 gold per hour. I doubt anyone is consistently making that much an hour in game.
Considering what happened in Fort Salma, I feel it was a good choice to give the spotlight to Kasmeer and Jory. They wanted us to bond with them a bit before Fort Salma.

Proposal Overview
I would like to propose or offer a suggestion to the Dev’s about maybe incorporating a one to two hour window of neutrality once a week on the WvW maps
The Dev’s shouldn’t have to code into the game something that we, the players, should be able to do for ourselves as a community. In fact, WvW players have been doing something close to what you are suggesting since, idk…. launch. Most Fridays you can find a Karma Train running on at least one of the maps.

I’m not against map completion being hard, I’m against WvW colors never switching. There’s really no reason for them not to switch. Here on JQ we’ve been green forever, I think we may have gotten a blue every 7-8 weeks. I’m on my third map completion and it’s just not going to happen. My last 2 POI’s are at the red keep in EB. When is that going to happen? I don’t like legendaries, I just like to have the star.
Why don’t they just rotate every week? What’s the big deal? What reason is there for this new system?

You can click on live view and watch the maps. Though if something is flipping, like a keep, the map may have a queue. You can go into EB earlier in the day for NA and ask to flip OL. You’d be surprised how many times someone has asked and we said, “What the heck?” and did it.
For the OP, yes I feel that Map complete should have been left out of WvW. Last year we (JQ) had a very long stretch as green. A lot of players complained and simply transferred to other servers to get the map complete. Anet should have done something about it then.
I read this as another thinly veiled attempt to wreck the EotM train. So the answer is certainly, NO! Have some self respect and fight those willing and able to fight on the same level in a WvW BL or EB map.
btw.. after the whining this week about EotM, after running reset as usual, I spent the rest of the weekend unmercifully hunting every troll Warrior and defender I could find in EotM.
One of my biggest pet peeves about WvW is how our WvW gear isn’t salvageable. Not for the value of the gear itself, it’s the cost of the runes and sigils we put in them. Thus, what if the Dev’s created a WvW Upgrade Extractor? One that’s purchased with Badges and works only on WvW gear. Then we can finally… FINALLY get some valued use out of WvW Gear. Subsequently some use out of badges too.
Even if it was an NPC that we could sell our gear to and they’d return to us our upgrades. Getting a couple of silver back with the upgrade would be nice too

Ariella, Guardian should be one of the easier classes to do this with. I’ll have to try it on my Guard to see. I’d say this is a build or lack of DPS issue making this fight overly long for you. GS should be a great weapon choice. I’d go Hammer myself with it having a punt, protection, good DPS, and crowd control. Symbol healing trait should help keep the minion alive as well.
For the fight itself, you are supposed to be a team. More so, Jory and Kasmeer should actually be considered friends. They are calling out how they can aide YOU in getting to the Boss in the dialogue. It sounds like the difficulty and duration of the fight created frustration, which lead to this feeling of being a henchman.
Is this even a something, really? Troll’s exist in MMO’s. It’s simply a matter of fact that there are jaded individuals whom do not like others having anything. No matter if it’s Karma, Gold, Exp, or FUN! They will seek out any large group of players and try their best to derail, disrupt, and destroy this group. And, I’m sorry if you don’t like to hear this but, Anet should not empower trolling.
For the OP, if EotM seems different it’s because WvW seasons ended. Causing an influx of WvW players into EotM. It coincides with you timeline. So yeah, extra players used to defending is what caused the downturn.
Or, at least give us a funny “Meh” vocal for our character as we toss aside stolen skills so we ckittene steal again.

I concur with the OP’s assessment. Something happened to targeting system. I lose tracking frequently. I thought it was a kitten way of increasing difficulty or something. I’ve been noticing this before LS S2 began though. I’m thinking the Apr 15th patch.

You’d have to travel thru them on your way to World Bosses, Dungeons, Orr… etc.
Amazing Tyria. Tanks, Airships, helicopters, matter transference, holograms and more. And not a single soul who looked at a pack dolyak and thought “I wonder if I could sit on that pack saddle”.
Even better, I’ve wondered why our home instances never had a green house, garden, or farms in our cities. Sure let’s go caveman and wander the wilderness for food and resources. It simply makes NO sense with the level of technology in Tyria.
No reason why we can’t have mounts AND way points. Also, start having gardens in our home instances like they made in the Dry Top Oasis!!!!! That was awesome!

p.s. someone said me that traveler are dropping its price because in combat now it is not 25% speed … if this is true , you guess what will happen !
I was about to go full postal on someone if they remove the speed boost from Traveler’s. It’s working in and out of combat as far as I can tell.
My thought process on this is, gear is bleeping expensive enough!!!!! DO NOT encourage them to add encounters each requiring different gear. No way in heck could I afford it!

Funny you happen to mention both things. Since the consumable nerf was EXACTLY because of TTS mass spamming them to kill Tequatl. There wasn’t a problem with them in regular usage.
As a comical side note: mounts would negate the entire current story arc of LS2 with leylines / waypoints. <liptwitch>

Going to agree and add that it illustrates how power scaling is a bit broken in the game still. How investing 15%-20% more into the power stat equals 200% damage output is pretty broken. Certainly putting 15%-20% more into toughness doesn’t reduce incoming damage by that much, nor healing, nor condi damage, etc… etc…
I’m feeling it too OP. On my condi thief build, since it has very poor burst and no cleeve, Short bow and specifically Cluster Bomb was the only thing I really had for multi-target damage. Especially when trying to fight off PU Mesmers.
This and the horrid decision to remove the ability to mug and stealth on steal really diminishes my thief. This is my one and only fully ascended character. Being Condi, it was always worthless everywhere but, in WvW. Now it’s not really worth taking in there either.
The question though is was CB supposed to be doing 3×3 AoE? Certainly each individual bomb should have it’s own AoE radius and at least hit 3 targets each. Otherwise they should be little heat seeking missiles then. Oh, and CB’s movement speed should be seriously increased as well.

As a multi-screen user running in windowed mode, I lose the cursor WAY too often. The arrow should be resizable, dyeable, and maybe having other effects like pulsating, glowing, or anything we can choose to add visibility.

Wrong! I use the falling damage traits frequently. Maybe if you get your head out of an instance you’ll find uses for them. Also, maybe the problem is the fact that TOO MUCH of the game is based around killing “x” faster.
Thief hate has diminished because we have PU Mesmer’s to hate more. Let’s face it, our Royal Crown of Cheese has been passed to all the little micro sized Asura PU Mesmer’s running about now.

Yes, yes, and more yes! This bug has been driving me nuts! It seriously damages my builds synergy. Think about it, after I steal, I’m basically standing there revealed like, “O’hai”. All the points I put into stealth traits are worthless now with this insta-reveal.

WvW Mesmer’s in 1v situations are extremely strong. If not THE strongest 1v profession. So before anyone complains about nerf’s, we can probably use more to get us better balanced.

There’s something not quite Kosher about this thread….
Think what this Account Binding does to players like myself whom have multiple accounts? And, I spend quite a bit to furnish the accounts with gem store items. I never expected the Dev’s to punish trying to do more in game and to support them more as well.
I’m all in for healthier gaming! Speaking of which, for every hour, a minimum of 10 minutes should be spent moving. Food/oil reminders should extend beyond our characters to the players too. Also, every 15 minutes you should look away from the screen and at something distant. As great a distance as you can to exercise your eye’s. Blinking and rolling your eye’s about as well. Anything to lessen eye strain is beneficial.
We all know this game doesn’t have a pause button but, when you have to go, you have to go! Don’t hold it for that next boss to be over, keep to be captured, or path to finish. Just go!

Same on Jade Quarry for me. Tested two different shards on Best Performance. With 175 FPS I’m experiencing rubber banding and flashing skill icons. First noticed this yesterday as I’ve been trying the Nochtli fight which is a complete mess from my experience.
I’ve yet to have any lag or frame rate issues in this zone.
I do not understand the point of a post like this. Is it a “haha” post or are you trying to call everyone complaining of lag liars or something? It’s not even helpful without any additional info like what world you are on or what times of day are you playing. Just saying," Nope no lag here" isn’t very helpful.
And yes, some shards are horrid. It’s funny that the past hour I’ve been running two accounts in the house on separate shards for Jade Quarry. One shard isn’t playable while the other was not lag free but a bit better. Whomever is Anet’s hosting, they are having serious server/connection issues.
I believe most of our problems are lag related. I was just running up the ramp to get to the fight. Grabbed the crystal above her cave entrance and rubber banded down to ground level at her cave entrance. Which wasn’t in my tracked path to even rubber band back to…. OY!
Seriously, wth is this lag? Skills just flash constantly and it’s even bugging my eye’s out. This while I’m at 175 FPS even! Some map shards are just horrid. It’s really not even playable today.

Just leech. If more than 5 players are fighting, stay below until NPC’s hp bar decreases to %5. Then jump up. Pop stability. Hit hard. Win.

My IWardens just stand there swinging away with 0..0…0….0….. damage inflicted. To be honest, I’m getting really tired of this fight. I’ll try duelist but, why they should work and not Wardens should be explained by a Dev. The fight takes way to long solo without the aide of phantasms.
Don’t be surprised Dev’s if a LARGE bag of Salt ends up at the office with a snark remark on it!!!!
