So I’ve just come out of a ranked PvP match and the combat log shows the following sequential attacks:
- Critical hit for 7,791 using dash.
- Critical hit for 3,910 using kick.
- Critical hit for 5,106 using smash
=16,807 combo

warrior is way lower in that list, Luclinraider.2317 should play 20 rounds of warrior first hand to experience it.
observation alone is not enough as Luclinraider.2317 may have simply observed good players bullying not so good players.

its okay, there are other ways to generate enough critical chance for that 560 ferocity to be useful extra damage modifier.
that extra 560 healing helps with sustain a bit as well.

any player with good mechanical skills can dodge avoid most of the highly telegraphed attacks.
It’s actually not that hard to get ascended gear from fractals. You just have to grind to higher levels to get reliable drops.
ah, but fractals has always been kinda hard and time consuming for me.

If you want easier but with a significant lower drop rate, wvw rank up chests do at times drop weapon and armor chests. I do not know the numbers but I would suspect once every 250-1000 ranks or so. Edge of the mist farming is a rather reliable way to get a ranks fast.

well, i think i have decent amount of champion bags obtained from pvp reward tracks and pvp rank up chests stocked up, perhaps i should consume some magic find boost and start popping them open. maybe i can get lucky with some ascended armor or weapon boxes!
i have been playing casual pvp in hotjoin for too long, kinda neglected all other parts of gw2. not enough time to do other things.
previously i was only checking out the living story but that kinda ended quite some time ago so its back to casual hotjoin pvp for me.

Well maby rampager is well balanced but it isn’t when you combine it with the specialization Heightened Focus wich gives the Warrior quickness for 4s while in rampage wich hits so hard and fast that you can not dodge or block enough to survive and if you go down to fast you will get stomped before you even can se your own downed skills.
well, that combination is working as intended as well.
anyway, many counter plays exist for rampage or rampage plus heightened focus.
in that example you mentioned, the victim got unlucky and outplayed.

even if those numbers are true, it is working as intended because the victim has low armor and health due to using marauder or other offensive amulets which does not offer toughness and vitality.
