Transferring to SOS. At least that was when this was free.
Deleted a toon holding an ectoplasm stack
When levelling tailor made a celestial insignia without having the armour recipe
Bought the wrong ascended accessory (not actually that big a deal, they aren’t that expensive)
Lent some ectoplasm (stupid spell check changes the short version to echo automatically) to a guildie. Never got it back.

“MUH FEMINISM!”
Why can’t I have my male character look like a crossdresser then? Seriously…? There are plenty of options out there for female characters to dress appropriately.
Fair enough if you want that option but somehow I doubt many guys actually want to get given the same trash women are expected to wear.
This isn’t actually a april fools joke. It’s the start of a terrible mutating plague. on tyria
I once asked if maybe Anet needed a gambling license or something (because this is real money we’re talking about) but I don’t think I ever got an official answer, pointing to concrete laws or regulations.
I think they get around it because it always gives you something and one of those things is always a booster.
I feel kinda sorry for the owls

I’m not actually sure the will give you one charge for exploring the capitol cities since they make money level 80 from transmutation in the gem store. They might remove the easy guaranteed way to get them so people can’t farm it but I haven’t heard anything about it so I don’t know.
If they do award Charges, it would most likely only be one, as Transmutation Stones will exchange at the rate of 3 Stones to one Charge.
No, stones are 1 to 1.
Crystals are 1 to 3.
No
stones are 3:1
crystals are 1:1
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/introducing-the-wardrobe-system/
No, I’m not using real cash on RNG especially when they don’t even tell you what the chances are and even with gold to gems I’m sure as hell not paying that much for something I’ll likely get trash out of.
I only use the keys from map completion, dailys and PS. I got got a couple of transmution crystals which is about the only thing of real value to me I have ever gotten out of one. Some repair canisters that can be handy and save you a few silver but I would never buy. A whole bunch of boosters and merchant expresses that I barely use and would also never buy and 2 ticket scrap which will only be useful if I ever get 10 of them (unlikely).

I’d like to see something along the lines of Viper Leggings or Vigil Leggings for light armor on Females.
That’s not pants. It’s underwear and stockings.
I vote for more pants. Not skirt and pants combination just pants.
Whats the bet they add them but find a way to make the hideously girly anyway?
You’ll probably be able to add them like anything else.
I kinda hop they put them in automatically based on if you have the achievement for them because I deleted some due to lack of space.
They should at least redo the rest of the dragon fights especially Shatterer because his “fight” is utterly pathetic. He is basically just a loot chest. It would be nice if they could do it in a way that is decently challenging and can support but doesn’t require over 60 or so people.
The other bosses? leave them as is for the people who want easy loot. Especially if they are in low level area.
I lost my my screenshots when old comp died. Not that I had many good ones but I did have one of my charr sync dancing with rtylock with him looking serious and her looking stoked.

I liked skill hunting in GW1 so this sounds like a nice addition to me. I don’t care if you can also buy them cheaply.
I don’t know why you have to buy them in sPvP though. I thought sPvP was suppose to be equal footing? When you’re in the sPvP area you should have all traits and skills unlocked from the start.
Nice, mesmers in GW1 were all about locking people down and interrupting. Looks like they are trying to encourage that some more in GW2.
Ah now the other 2 pics work too! I was talking about the first one, the 2nd one is cool too and the 3rd one is simple but good. However I like a bit more details
Ascended stuff isn’t allways beautiful, try a mix, I think the shoulders are terribly ugly for example
Yeah I don’t really like the ascended armour (might be able to mix the legs with something but the top half and shoulders are bleh to me). This pistol looks ok though. If I could have any one in the game I’d get the aetherized one but I’m not buying keys just to get it.
I recently finished out my Mesmer’s heavy metal look.
How’s she look? One of the best outfits so far! Totally unique and perfect! Beautiful and makes me kinda jelly! :O
Armor:
Mask of the Queen, Nightmare Mantle, Flame kissed top, T3 sorceress gloves, Apprentice skirt, with Winged boots. So Sexy.
Side note.. When I did the makeover for the hair I was listening to “Fancy” and “My World” by Iggy Azalea you should listen to her!! That 808 soo goodI would jump ._.’’
Already posted but I’m bored so I’ll do some more.
Rarely seen skirt or however it’s called.
I like the outfit, but you need another pistol :o CM has a good one!
yeah I do. I haven’t bothered getting a better skin cause I figured I’d just use the ascended one when I eventually get it.
Already posted but I’m bored so I’ll do some more.
Last ones a bit boring but I tend to give my PC random personalities (I don’t why) and she’d probably wear that more than the first one.
I am, and will always be, opposed to this.
I like that classes have some sort of logical and visual “identity” that makes a reasonable amount of sense. I like that light armor looks light, heavy armor looks heavy, ect. I like that thieves aren’t doing insane acrobatics in plate mail while heavily armored warriors run around in cloth bikinis. I know people will always say “Its fantasy, screw realism and logic!” but I enjoy my fantasy to have at least some amount of reason and logic to it.
There isn’t really much reason why a spellcaster couldn’t use armour other than class balance, especially in this game. Mesmers can have a duellist theme going on with sword and already use great-swords to fire magic lasers. Eles can be throwing themselves into front line with a bolt of lightning or blaze of fire and probably would want something more than a piece of cloth protecting them. My ele is even a Norn so it not like she couldn’t lift it (I would get her the SE armour which looks heavier but few run it). Necro’s aren’t particularly mobile and can be tanky so heavy armour fits. A thief wouldn’t necessarily be decked in leather although yes a thief flipping around in plate would be weird. Then again trench coats aren’t the most flexible or light of things either. You can get fast rather than tanky warriors.
Still classes would lose some of their visual identity and theme. I also foresee massive clipping issues when mixing different types. More than we have now.

I have a level 80 necro and a level 60 ranger. If you’re planning on doing group dungeons I’d go with necro. Rangers in my experience can be problematic in dungeons unless they keep a good leash on what their pet is doing and necro’s do actually have quite a lot of support if you want to go that route. Although if you do prefer the ranger don’t drop them because of the rep. There are good ranger players in dungeons and they are good for open world and solo pve.

Not a fan of them. I don’t think fits here and massive wings all over the place is going to make visual clutter worse. I think its fine in games where you can actually fly with them but otherwise it just seems tacky and overdone to me. To each there own. I’m not against them, I would just rather some grounded back pieces.

Question about KasJory Romance [Spoiler-ish]
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Demented Sheep.1642
It has some elements similar to but is not rennaissance Europe so there is no issue. It makes perfect sense that they could be tolerant of it as other cultures have been.
They also couldn’t just bring this stuff in and then do nothing significant with it and they probably don’t want to focus that much on this subplot or the story is going to get muddled. It makes more sense to include racism/speciecism plots because the races learning to work together and get past previous conflict to fight the dragons is focus point for the story. That said the racism stuff is still fairly light in this story and not from the same mindset (great chain of being) that Europe had.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
They should give you a new male lead. A bisexual male thief who dresses in a thong and leather straps for “mobility”, speaks in sexual innuendos and gets things done by cunning. Cunning in this case meaning he offers to screw the more competent women if they will do things for him and stabs people in the back.
Na, they should do the other dragons or redo SB but not to be hard since it’s in such a low level area. Although people who play this game ditch content the instant it becomes challenging anyway.
I wouldn’t have an issue with $10 price tag on those armours (though it’s still a bit of hard sell when I regularly buy games for that much) if they didn’t make them single use and inconvenient as hell. I tend to not want to use the whole thing which means if I buy them in addition to having to spend more money if I change my armour I’m going to have store the other pieces in my bank. I think they should make it like your AP reward skins or put in a npc you can use to withdraw them from more than once.
Most the other things I think are priced ok.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I always assumed she was yes. You could says its the headgear but I thought that armour was designed for her and she looks the same in art drawn of her.
I think Asura look better bald. It’s weird seeing this goblinnoid thing with fabulous shiny hair.

Sanctum of Rall (SOR) is quite populated with PVE, we run tequatl the sunless world boss everyday (and ALWAYS kill it) as well as daily world boss/event trains, also [GSCH] runs weekly guild missions to help out the community to get commendations/rares, gold, etc. and they’re currently hosting the Great Tyrian Adventure (an event that is nearing completion but nontheless you can win some great prizes) also they’re raffling out legendaries and other great prizes for participation in the event. Although our World vs World has suffered greatly and we’re losing quite hard in it, our PVE is still in tact and isn’t going anywhere.
About what time do you guys do Teq? I haven’t done that fight in a while which is shame because I like it so I might guest. Assuming you guys don’t mind guesters.
To be fair while the players might want to know it’s unlikely that if you were a character in that universe you would stop to politely listen to her explanation especially given how many times she’s escaped and people she’s killed. Although “it doesn’t mater, you’ve failed!”…well it still dose because her reason why might revel other things you need to be worried about!
It’s pretty clear what her motive was after the ending cut scene and it might be explained more indirectly later or through one of their shortstories (although most players never see these).

TENGU!
Unfortunately armour would have the same issues Charr do. sigh
I would love to play a Centaur but that isn’t going to happen (I don’t think playable quadrupedal races are gong to work).
Djinn are really awesome looking so I would like to play one.
I think it would interesting to see another group of Sylvari from a different tree who maybe aren’t as human looking and have developed a different mindset but people complain about the Sylvari having too much spotlight already and I don’t know if they look human due to influence or because that just how they look.
I’m not to interested in Largos TBH. They kinda made a bad impression on me but maybe I would warm to them with some development.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I’m just hoping they give us a way to actually store the bloody things. Unique backpeices for LS segments is great and all but it be a lot nicer if you could actually collect them and they didn’t soul bind to one character. Although the same thing applies to armour really.
Anyway back OT.
animal tails? eh not my thing.
I don’t really know what backpieces I would actually like. I tend to not like stuff too flashy so capes (if they make a version for charr that fits over the tail the T3 heavy dose they should be fine but I doubt they will) some more quivers ect.
Agreed. I didn’t notice too much of an “imbalance” between genders up until the living story, the only male we have in the main group is Braham. There is nothing “wrong” with this, but it seems unlikely that all the men in Tyria lack spines, talent, and good will.
Not only this, but it often feels like the Males are being type casted in a way. -Most- major male lore characters are either Warriors or Guardians it feels like.
Logan – Guardian
Braham – Guardian
Rytlock – Warrior
Faren – WarriorIts kind of like the writers are telling us the male characters are only good enough to be meat shields, that they’re not smart enough to be an Engineer or an Elementalist or a Mesmer. Especially mesmer to be honest. We’ve got 3 human female Mesmers now who are very prominent in the story (Jennah, Anise, and Kasmeer).
Treherene, the main of the personal story who everyone seems to forget is a necromancer and a scholar. The main reason why he got the job of marshal was due to his knowledge.
Gixx the head of the durmand priory is also male.
Tybalt is an engineer and by far the most popular of the mentors.
Evion isn’t much of fighter but he’s crafty.
Guardians are spell swords, not just meat shields.
Not to mention women being sepllcasters, archers and thieves and men being warriors also comes with the implication that woman should stay at the back and can’t be useful without trickery or unless it’s fantasy world where magic makes up for gender.

Thanks for the input!
I did look at having the green hair with blue markings but TBH it kinda makes it look like you have the wrong head on the wrong body. Especially since the hair is made up of leaves rather than petals. I think I’ll use a modified 3 as a compromise. Change the eyes to blue and give him a blue glow. If I incorporate small amounts of blue into the armour it won’t look too random and mishmashy (hopefully).
Heh, I’m putting way to much thought into this. It’s not like I can’t ever change it again if decide I don’t like it later.
I’m kinda in the same boat. I didn’t play for months came back, looked at map chat and was immediately reminded of why I left in the first place . I hate my current server. Every group event is just so negative.

I’m going to use the total makeover kit on my Syl Guardian and I’m terrible at deciding between colours. It’s great that slylvari can vary so much but it dose make it hard to decide on things. So I’m going to ask any random strangers who are bored enough to answer…or you can just show off your slyvari.
Blue means the colour of his abilities match which is nice but I rather like green/orange with that hairstyle. Oh what to do…
InB4: they’re all ugly
Semi plant nudity warning. I’ll figure out what to do with armour later.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I didn’t like the butterflies and purple/pink to start off with but they’ve grown on me. Although I would likely still change it if given the option. As already said in this thread it dose make sense and is the icon for the class now. If they did give you a different option (unlikely) though there is no reason to tie it the gender of your toon and I would pretty kittened if they did tbh. Girl=/= likes butterflies and pink and some guys might actually like the butterflies.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I’ve been melleeing them fairly successfully although I am playing Mes so I have evade. I have to back off some of the time but I can spend the majority of the fight in mellee range. I would imagine you could do similar with stability and some well timed dodges on a War or Guard. Mellee generally has higher dps than range so that’s why they make it harder.
It sucks for my necro though since they reflect conditions for most of the fight. As if conditions in group pve didn’t feel sub par enough.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
Oh right, usually its 4 guys to 1 barely competent mostly there to be a LI girl. Anet better get on that.
Honestly yes, the LS has been fairly woman centric and if they introduce more characters the next should probably be a guy but PS wasn’t (Treherne is the main, Ryltock and Logans bromance is fairly central.) and the guys can deal with not being the majority for once.

A serious request - Group Achievements
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Demented Sheep.1642
Or at least make ones that aren’t so easy to troll (spider) or encourage people to do less (In Tune).
I used to use it all time but not so much now. It’s fine enough weapon but a bit boring and I don’t really like it visual’s or the sound effects. I use it if it’s a boss I don’t want to get close to or I’m feeling lazy in group event. I’d rather use staff as a defensive weapon and sword/X for dpsing which is fairly standard but it works and it’s fun.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I’d say they get more interesting at 60 or so. It’s one of the problems with the class. I imagine a lot of players get put off because they aren’t all that good until you can play with traits. AT 80 mes is the most fun to me.
But they don’t play like a GW1 mes.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
Yeah I don’t know why it isn’t available. Maybe it has severe clipping issues? not that current hairs don’t.
Personally though I’m hoping for a no nonsense medium length ponytail or plait for humans. One that doesn’t clip horribly with masks.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
Yeah I get that as well and it sometimes ends up flicking my target to random things. I wasn’t sure if it was just me.
It is particularly annoying on mes who requires a target to actually use most of the skills and my condi necro who I generally wanting to target a specific enemy to epidemic them.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
Yeah that tidal wave was epic. I actually didn’t die to it the first time because I was in the air from the jump pad when it hit. Just me and a few survivors in the middle of the devastation trying to tend to the wounded, most our fellows dead.
cue sad music and falling to knees wailing at the heavens
I like mine. I have a theif, a mes, an ele and and a necro (I just wish she was a bit better for some of the PVE group stuff and condi was a little less reliant on specific circumstances to really work).
I have a ranger but I’m finding that a bit boring to play and I’ve never really gotten into the warrior class of many games. My guard is still to low to judge. I’ve yet to make an engi.
Thing is, most people who come to the forums are usually here because they have concerns so it always seems more negative and people tend to bias towards the class they play and think it needs buffs.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
Rez if downed, WP if defeated. I pretty much consider this standard with any large battle unless you’re about to win but for things with time limit like this and balth it is necessary. People don’t have time to do a full rez.
I have never been booted to overflow doing this. :/
