We need more than just commanders. Every time I’ve done this either there is no coordination or people don’t listen and respond to attempts to give instruction with the attitude of “it won’t work anyway so there is no point” or just being rude . Half the ppl seem to be afk by the turrets not actually defending them and QQ in the MP chat starts pretty much immediately. I tried guesting to another server even tho we didn’t win we got much further and the map chat was so much nicer and actually made the event enjoyable and even overflow dose better.
I came to this sever because it was oceanic and my friends were on it. They have since stopped playing and this servers gone to hell so I think I’ll save up, find a better server , a new guild and leave.

That doesn’t really solve anything. You’ll be still holding people up it’s just now they can’t do anything at all until it ends. Personally I just youtube it after.
Conditions builds are still useful in this for defending but yeah this needs to addressed. Stats of bleeding past 25 would do and insane amount of damage but so dose 15 people attacking him with power. Although vulnerability would likely be too much and need a cap since it affects everyone’s damage.
I don’t care that a structure bleeding to death makes no sense. I’ll be running around killing mods fine and then spend 5 minutes killing a canon. You lose crits on structures as well but you’re damage isn’t minimal if your a power build.
This is why nearly everyone is a zerker in PvE. Terrible design kills everything else.

At least they should make a darker version of the shortbow like twilight/sunrise
Clearly they need to make a heavy metal version.
Hah, yeah that’s what I was thinking of.
I still prefer the original!
Always, I wanna beee with you
And make belieeeve with you
And live in harmony, harmony, oh looove!
At least they should make a darker version of the shortbow like twilight/sunrise
Clearly they need to make a heavy metal version.

It seems some of the balloons from the jubilee managed to escape removal and have taken to hiding in Frostgourge Sound near Skyheight Steading.
Very minor thing but I assume they aren’t meant to be there.

Maybe but it would be bad to have the dragon stuff happening and progressing but not being repeatable and available to players who weren’t there at the time.
I agree
Appearance customization and getting different skins was suppose to be a big thing in this game but with the hassle of transmutation and storage it’s just a pain in the kitten .
I think this is a missed opportunity for Anet. Personally I think they should take some cues from some of the superhero mmo’s like DCUO and CO either letting you change your appearance on the fly from a tab or from some kind of locker, possibly located in your home instance and let you build and save sets. The same could potentially be done for stats as well to let you save and switch between builds more conveniently and encourage build diversity even if it still costs to re trait.
I know Anet have to make profit and transmutation stones in the gem store are one of the ways they do that currently. However I think if they made some form of locker and then you had to use transmutation stones or some other gem item to add items to it they may potentially end up being able to make more money from that.
As I said before the system they have now discourages changing your appearance or build and makes collecting next to impossible. Most people will probably just pick an appearance and gear set and stay with that once they have max gear unless something they really really like more than their current one comes along.
Since Ascended is meant to be the last tier people aren’t going to have to redo their gear on regular basis. If had convenient way of collecting and swapping skins it would encourage people to get multiple sets, to do this with any item they like that comes and for people to do this simply for the sake of having a complete collection as people already do with minipets. It could potentially make the gemstore skins, both armor and BL weapons more attractive to and make people more inclined to by the temporary skins like Rox’s Quiver when they come around even if they don’t have an armor to go with them in mind.

Sylvari. There are too many humans around and their kind of boring.
Sylvari necro isn’t lore breaking. Trahearne is a necro, there was apparently another Sylvari necro in the books and the undertaker in DR is also a Sylvari. Might not be as standard as say…a ranger but there’s nothing against them. Necro’s aren’t evil by default, there were plenty of good ones especially in GW1.
Death and disease is part of nature and since they start off in the dream without a physical body and are all connected by it I would think they would have an easier time seeing a dead body as just a body and not a person or creature anymore.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I don’t particularly want it, it would just be another effect cluttering my screen but I don’t see why anyone would be against this because of age ratings/ people sensibilities. We’re already fighting rotting undead things with open wounds, parts of their face missing, tongues hanging out and protruding ribs but a red particle effect is too much gore? Look at this messed up face! That’s far worse than some blood.
Although I never had an issue with seeing blood.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I think its more so you can’t change your trait points on the fly.
That wouldn’t really mater in open world PVE. You could just disable it in Dungeons and WvW.
Pretty sure they will, yeah. They just make it limited time so it drives gem prices up to get people buying it with cash (not saying this is necessarily bad)
Oh no, this is how it starts. Op I’m so so sorry.
Oh interesting. I’m glad they do theses livestreams.
That hairstyles very nice to, reminds me of home lol. We have ferns in our backyard.

I’ve felt all my alts are dead ever since they implemented WXP. Forcing me to stick to one character in order to rank up has basically killed off all my alts in the primary content I like to play, World vs. World. My Guardian got the bulk of my ranks, so now I can’t really play any of my other 7 characters, without feeling like I am taking steps backwards instead of advancing. If it weren’t for the occasional fun in PvE, I’d almost wish I could get a refund for all the extra character slots I purchased.
Luckily I still like playing my Guardian the most, at least for the time being.. Still, it has damped my excitement for WvW. Not sure I’ve set a foot in there for the past 2 months, and I am primarily interested in WvW. I barely play lately with all the things they have been doing to the game.
Yeah, it not just the gear grind. This game is only alt friendly for sPVP. In everything else it’s like they are trying to make it as annoying as possible. Fractals have this as well forcing you to pick a character to do it with every time. You can’t swap if you feel like playing a different class or one of your alts would be better with the group composition without taking a hit to your rewards, not progressing and if you’re high enough, running into trouble with agony .
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
They don’t need to add more tiers to keep the treadmill going, They can already do it with infusions or upping the level cap. It the same thing, all they’ve done is dress it up differently.
Even if you still had to “unlock” the stats ( I would prefer you didn’t) it would a lot more convenient and encouraging to build diversity than having to carry everything around with you or storing it in the bank. Would be nice if you could do could add skins as well and make collecting skins viable.
Legendary weapons were always suppose to be about the skin and the prestige not a mechanical advantage.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
Considering one of the reason why I got this game was that I don’t like chasing stats and like having multiple builds and alts which is the sort of thing this games was supposedly going to support, ascended gear is not good for me. What do I want out of end game content? Actual content that’s fun to play through. New skills and build opening up over time.
I very much doubt anyone who is new player is going be able to get and ascended weapon soon after hitting 80 especially since Karma’s been nerfed.
Les see…for my thief to be fully geared out I need 4 daggers (because of different builds), 2 pistols, a sword and a short bow. Once they add ascended armor that’s 3 new set of amour that will take god knows how long as well.
For my Mesmer I need 2 swords, a staff, a greatsword, a focus and a pistol. I don’t use scepter or torch much so I wouldn’t bother with that…unless of course I make scepter or torch build later. Plus 2 maybe 3 if I like a build I’m trying out sets of armor.
For my ele I need 2 daggers, a staff, a scepter but focus I don’t use much. Again 2 armor sets.
For my Necro I need a scepter, 2 daggers and staff. As of now I don’t use my axes , war-horn or focus a whole lot and only use one armor set but this is my latest 80.
I also want to get a guardian.
My ranger I only use for messing around so don’t really care. I don’t have a war or engi yet and probably won’t bother gearing them properly when I do get them unless I end up falling in love with the class.
So that’s 22 weapons for the stuff I’m currently using and we know ascended armor is coming in the future as well. Even if I only got ascended weapons for my most commonly used builds on my mes and thief that’s still 7 weapons. This might be small for people who only play one character and just use the same gear all the time but for people with multiples this a massive undertaking. Especially if you don’t already have 400 in weapon crafting.
And this is on top of getting the appearance I want for them which I wouldn’t mind taking a long time if I’m not grinding for stats as well.

This strikes me as like believing Germans (yes I am in invoking godwens law) are the bad guys for ever and ever because of WW2 and no one at the time could have had a different veiw other than that of the kitten dogma.
Trying to equate Charr society to a Human one is kitten silly.
No society like it bar maybe the Spartans comes close to the kind of universal military dogmatism that define the Charr.
Your analogy is also all kinds of wrong as well. It’s not like saying “all Germans were bad”. It’s like saying “All SS were bad” and those guys, those guys were.
It would be a bit different if it weren’t for that fact that every Charr in the Legions was also a soldier and since they weren’t divided between “dogmatic barbarians” and “Soldiers doing their job” like the SS vs the majority of the Wehrmacht, your analogy fails. Hard. You can replace that with any country or group that has ever done something horrific to another or had bad leadership and a not particularly nice culture…which is pretty much everywhere at some point in time.
Not applicable to the Charr due to how their culture works. The only ones able to escape that heritage are those that kitten’d off elsewhere away from the Legions.
Of course this is fantasy so everyone expects the “for teh evils!” race and I’m pretty sure that’s what the Charr were first intended as but it’s nice to break away for that a bit and flesh them out more. I suppose this prosecuting of an entire race rather than individuals actions and being unable to move on from past crimes is why war perpetuates itself in real life.
They’re still violent, flat, uninteresting outside of their alien society and supremacist.
[/quote]
I’m not trying to say the Charr were like kitten Germany. The point is that blaming someone for what their ancestors did is stupid. You do’t like how they are now, fine but that was aimed at the people bringing up GW1 like the Charr should always remain a villain race because of that. Even with the the more current war on ebonhawke if they have the opportunity to try and sort out peace rather than continuing fighting and creating more atrocities and trying to get the other side to pay. You have to try and move past it at some point otherwise no war would never end without the other side being wiped out.
and just because they are all military doesn’t them all responsible for everything or stop them from having a different opinion for each other or their ruling body.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
In GW we seen them destroy the human kingdom and kill woman, children and elderly. Gwen’s story showed us they had human torture camps. They helped resurrect the titans that could have ended all intelligent life. They held humans for nearly a decade kept barely alive in small cages. They performed ritualistic human sacrifices.
They were bad guys. All of them. Then Pyre comes along and says “uhh yeah, our bad.” And we are just supposed to say “nah bro it’s cool”?
I tolerate them because they are a useful tool against the Dragons. They worked so well for the Lich almost ending the world and all.

It sounds good but the problem is once people have the achievements for it it’s probably just going to end up being ditched with few people doing it like any of the mildly hard or not easily exploitable dungeon.
At least the dungeons only require 4 others. Can imagine trying to round up 80 people for this? Are new players going to be able to see this content when the initial wave of of people doing it dies off?
The invasions still get people but most are not even trying to actually finish it and want to prolong it as long as possible. They just want to farm aetherblades.
Anet can create more challenging large scale content but general mindset of the community seems to be find the easiest thing and farm it repeatedly.
Why does the game do this? Is it limitation with how they have the instance set up? because it’s getting really really annoying and I don’t see the purpose.
This has happens way too often. The last 3 times I’ve tried to do TA F/U we had the person who opened the dungeon leave on the final boss. I suppose I could avoid this by repeating story mode for all the characters I use for dungeons and making sure I’m the first in but I shouldn’t have to do this in the first place and then puts me in the position of being unable to actually leave for whatever reason without screwing everyone else plus my internet connection occasionally goes to crap without warning.

I’m not really in a rush to get ascended or legendary.
I don’t actually have any weapon crafters and can’t be bothered leveling it right now or doing the grind necessary to create an ascended.
I have 4 lvls 80s, my thief alone has 3 sets of gear for different builds and I’d like at least 2 sets for all of them. I’m not completely done gearing them out with exotics and runes let a lone starting on ascended weapons. Might go for one eventually,
As for legendary weapons, in addition to not wanting to grind I don’t actually like the look of any of them anyway. Too flashy for me. Well Eternity is pretty by itself I guess but I don’t actually want it. Generally I prefer my weapons to look like weapons and not be too over the top. Even if I found a precursor I would probably sell it.

huh that’s weird. I don’t know why they would cut the glow for that armor piece. Most armors that shows skin that glows on slyvari do glow.
I had a similar issue with armor I was considering using because T3 light cuts the glow off abruptly but that’s probably because the glow would look weird with the full set unless it was incorporated into the rest of the piece.

8 out 10
It’s nice but I don’t like the helm or boots personally
Mine is pretty much the cultural armor (t1 and t3). I didn’t use it for ages because I didn’t want to just use a set for creativitys sake and didn’t think it looked theify enough
Bought it on a whim and now I like it. I feel uncreative but meh whatever. It goes well with Rox’s quiver IMO.
Ironically despite the fact that I can’t use most the medium armor due to clipping and weapon floating getting on my nerves I’m more happy with this character appearance than my human mes.
Edit: hmm attachments are doing weird things

Seriously this is making me lose hope in the game at a massive rate.
Anet doesn’t use logic, what is wrong with them?
It’s unpopular BECAUSE of the friggin armor issue…. WHAT?!?!??!?!
Omg…
I think they would be unpopular anyway because beast races always are but armor certainly isn’t helping.
This and the buggy churned out content we get for the LS every 2 weeks is making me think A-net doesn’t give a toss about quality. It feels like they just cut corners everywhere to pump out crap as cheap and fast as possible.
Finished with 20 minutes to spare in one invasion. I really don’t know how we pulled that one off.
The vast majority of them don’t even come close though. Not that many are actually trying to pull them off now.
I’m a little surprised at how many of these threads are popping up so I’ll answer this one for those who don’t get it. Note that it’s not as interesting when you have to explain it.
The Queen’s Speech was a ruse. Anet vandalized and defaced the Queen’s Speech page over time, ultimately revealing the actual content release to be Clockwork Chaos. There is no speech. In-game, Jennah was going to give a speech, but it gets interrupted right at the start, in the cutscene with Lord Faren. So the speech was effectively canceled by Scarlet’s attack on the Pavilion, as hinted at by the vandalizing of the release page.
So, what was the ‘big revelation’?
The identaty of Scarlet and her being behind most of what has happened in the living story so far I assume
Which isn’t really much of revelation since we’ve never meet her before anyway…as far as I know. I did miss some of the LS.
So…which definition of “casual” vs “hardcore” are we using here?
Hours invested each week? Level challenge wanted or capable of being done? how quickly they do content? see it as a relaxing hobby or something competitive? amount of money spent? Ect
I don’t know why there is an assumption that people who play casually are fickle with their games and don’t support them. Most of the market is “casual”.
Ideally you should have some content for different types of players (so long as they can exist in the same game without conflicting obviously, you can’t do everything)
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
%13 of your fan base is not small enough to be “not worth it” and ignored.
Beside they should have decent level of quality across the board rather than just what’s more popular even if whats more popular takes a bit higher priority. Imagine if the only class that got bug fixes, balancing, new skills ect was the most popular one.
I played necro months ago, got sidetracked by other classes and went back to leveling my necro recently and have to say…
Minion AI has improved a lot from what I remember. They aren’t really running off to attack targets I was not attacking and hadn’t agro’ed. They aren’t spending the entire fight killing a weapon rack rather than my target and they only one who has a delay with attacking is Golem after using the skill (probably intentionally)
Would be nice to be able to set them on a target properly though and be able to see their heath easily.
Well a party generally is an option, just ask map chat or your guild if you are in one. Since it doesn’t harm you or cost you anything to be in party someone will likely accept.
That said I wish could just call targets for yourself without a party.
You can use targeting without party, just send invite to someone who is offline (not need to be accepted) and change T key to tab:-)
I did not know you could that.
These new invasions have far more impact on the economy than deadeye. Look at the gold to gem exchange rate — since the invasion patch the value of your gold has plummeted. The invasions may not be as profitable per person, but far more people are doing them.
That might be more because people knew the sale was coming and so stocked up on gems.
Now this is actually interesting. I like the notion that Scarlet rejects the deterministic notions of the Pale Tree, but still it leaves a lot of her actual motives unclear.
But I have to wonder, why none of this is told to us in-game? Scarlet could actually be an interesting character if you’d constructed her backstory using all you have written in that short story via dialogue and in-game text. This is the kind of exposition we need for the storyline, if we are meant to enjoy it.
Yep.
Now this is more interesting though I kinda wish she wasn’t an outright crazy baddie. Hopefully they build on it properly later. It’s shame in the game all were getting right now is “die die die, die die, die die”.
Although her insane level of education is still really silly to me and she is annoying.

Since when does feminine=boobilicious? I mean goodness, someone states they want a little style and instantly that means we’re going to go full DD-cup furries? Calm yourselves please. Like I stated previously, I like the current armor we have, and I made very pretty/feminine (COME AT ME I SAID IT) charr with what I had to work with, and they’ll still kick your kitten if you mess with them. Is it so wrong I didn’t want to look like brutes? A little variety isn’t bad, I mean if you’re arguing that “It’s against the lore” I implore you to look at half the armor in the light category and tell me just how much goes with the lore. I see charr wearing a frilly flower dress (TA armor) in ALL the lore stories. (Sarcasm at it’s finest)
Leia Spiritrose and her warband partner Karra Bloodrose everybody. Showing the world you can be beautiful and classy all at the same time. (Oh and Karra’s loyal devourer Lillith, she’s beautiful too.)
And that’s fine because guys can get that same armor. There are people who play male Charr who would want something sleeker or more “feminine” as well and actually like what your Charr looks like btw. Not what I’m going for with mine but it’s nice.
If it’s big “kitten off” set of armor of it should remain so on both genders and likewise for more feminine stuff. I don’t want to be in situation again with an mmo where I have to reroll as a guy or miss out on being able to use most the options I like. Especially with Charr are concerned because anatomy isn’t an issue and yes “lore wise” gender is not really a factor for them so why should it be with armor? The fact they don’t separate out genders is one of the things I like about the race and it’s reinforced by having the same armor for both.
That’s said people do need to stop jumping on" feminine armor" as boob armor and sexy beast race. I get why since this is a common and irritating issue but it’s pretty safe to say that is not going to happen with the Charr. At worst you’ll get stuck with skirts and frills.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I really don’t like subscriptions and won’t play a game with them.
Since I don’t have steady and reliable income and I’m on and off player I prefer to pay for new content and support the game when I want to play it and have the money to buy it.
I will pay for expansions and use cash shops so long as they aren’t selling power.
I don’t like limited time RNG gambling with cash and would much rather just buy the kitten thing but since it’s cosmetic (which are still important but they have make money somehow) I won’t complain too much. They seem to be moving away from that anyway.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
Whenever they want to focus on the asura and charr models for armor or if they got time. They really need to have different armor sets for the asura and charr females. Regardless of their anatomy it should be a bit diverse between the two genders because every other race besides those 2 have different set armors for each gender. That’s their first step into versatility and then they can focus on armor clipping issues, animation and just plain better looking armors for the 2 races.
I don’t agree, at least not where the Charr are concerned because they don’t really seem to have much difference between gender culturally. The women fill the same roles as the men and they are a practical solider race with the emphasis more on cohesive groups rather than individuality. No need for the armor to be different.
A lot of female charr players want their armour to be more feminine. It’s why you see so many female charr and asura running around in the TA armour – because the male version looks like a dress.
At some point there has to be a compromise between what is practical and what players want. There is a reason that boob plate armour exists, and it’s not because it’s practical.
But yeah, ArenaNet can’t complain about the charr being unpopular when all the armour in the game was designed for human body types. Unless you’re a heavy charr, your options are slim, and if you’re a medium charr… well good luck. Trenchcoats look awful on charr and the clipping issues show that almost no effort was put into making the armour fit the race – especially when it’s racial armour.
When new armour comes out I really hope ArenaNet stops trying to fit charr into the mold of the humans and starts designing armour specifically for the charr. If the achievement point armour is anything to go by though, it’s time to reroll. It’s going to get a lot worse from here. I recently made the painful decision to reroll my charr ranger simply because I got kitten ed off with every armour set in the game looking like crud on him and being limited to a handful of options.
And many like me do not. I don’t want my Charr looking “feminine”. I want her to look like she can rip your face off. Again if you want more variety give more variety with different sets but don’t tie it to gender for no other reason than “oh you’re playing a female therefore you must want something feminine or you’re playing a guy therefore you don’t”. Most the Charr I see wearing TA are male.
Hell the same should apply to human armor as well with the difference being to make it fit and look decent with the different body shapes but still looking like the same set and giving off the same vibe but that isn’t likely to happen.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I don’t know if it actually is the easiest/cheapest but I usually WP to the priory one.
I think you’ve misunderstood what the chests are. The chest in the tower isn’t from the escort event. That is just one of the possible events (along with a queens champ or aetherblade attack) that can be blocking access to the tower. Other people opening it makes no difference to you. If you can’t open it it’s because you’ve already opened the chest on that tower and it’s one time only. 1 tower= 1 chest.
I find her to be a bit wacky and over the top like a cartoon villain. Her attitude, her over competence (she graduated from every Asura collage?) and the way she going around destroying kitten yet it just doesn’t feel all that devastating. Not that everything has to be serous but she just isn’t really “clicking” with me. Eh maybe she’ll grow on me later.
Weirdly I like Mad King Thorn and he’s pretty much just off his nut and evil. Somehow he manages to still be intimidating whereas Scarlet isn’t.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
The events scale based on how many people are around. Last time I did an invasion I did several events by myself or with 1 or 2 other people because I was avoiding the zerg. It was mostly only regular mobs and the occasional vet so doable solo. If a champion spawned and it was only me I had to leave it but then you already get this with group dynamic events on the map.
If you don’t want to do the events you can avoid them since they aren’t tightly packed or go to a different map for 45 minutes. They don’t contest way points so that won’t be an issue either. Since they aren’t going to be every hour after this LS ends and they can be in a number of maps I don’t imagine you will encounter this issue often unless you are very unlucky.
But how would that work, lore-wise?
I mean… Unless we will keep killing Molten Alliance, Aetherblades and the rest of Scarlet’s army for years to come. Oh dear…Alright, it is fun and all… For a while. Maybe it won’t be “permanent”, but it will just take some months until they are removed? I mean, they will be removed after Scarlet is gone, right? She will be gone someday, right?
I would like to put an end to her plans someday. It is already bad enough that Orr is still full of risen even though we killed Zaithan already (LS-wise). She is cool, I like her, but fighting her forever… I don’t know.
They might just keep invasions as a system eventually. If Scarlet is defeated for good they could replace the minions and boss with the inevitable new villain who will crop up after her or they could make a few different variations of something relevant to the map like a dredge invasion, nightmare court invasion, fire legion invasion ect
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
I hate to say it, but Logan is portrayed as pretty much of a dufus. After a while, I’d be tempted to be condescending to him, also.
It’s less that Logan is portrayed as a dufus, more so that despite his position, no one ever deals him in to information that he NEEDS. He’s treated like crap by everyone.
Other than the time he volunteers to cut the line in Arah story and then shows up later, when in the game has he demonstrated competence?
In the commoner story where Anise is all “let me use myself as bait” and it’s Logan who points out that her randomly walking around the middle of nowhere by herself is a really obvious trap.
Most the NPC’s don’t really show competence anyway. If their strength meant to be that they a great fighter that won’t really come across in the game because NPC’s are mostly useless in actual fights regardless of how good they are lore wise.
I’m kinda glad, I was only doing it for the sake of the fight itself and the achievements. Now that it’s not good farming and is deserted there is far less lag so I finished it today.
but if you want to farm the invasions give a ton of money. I’ve already made 20 gold and I’ve only done a few and are not actively trying to farm.
It’s fortunate I don’t like any of the legendary weapons because I hate farming. I just hope inflation doesn’t get too bad with all these highly profitable events.
(edited by Demented Sheep.1642)
The event seems more designed to spread people through out the map and small groups are more effective at actually finishing the event than zergs.
The problem is people don’t do that and are instead running around in 2 or 3 massive zergs farming champs causing the events to upscale so much that it takes too long and fails.
Although this might get better after people finish achievements and get sick of farming it.

6, though one is only lvl 20 and 2 are around 40. I’m missing war and engineer for classes. I don’t have an azura yet either, might make one when I eventually get an engineer but I kinda want a charr engineer. Then again medium armor is horrid on charr. Decisions, decisions…

The fight is fun i enjoy the challenge… what i don’t enjoy is :
One shot mechanics in a fight that’s put above the most laggy zone in the game.
Buggy camera which makes it very annoying.
Semi transparent floor that makes the Aoe harder to see.
Bugged Rifts that get the obstruction bug.
Poorly balanced and favors certain professions/builds.
Resource cost+long corpse run to try again.
But yea.. other then all that it’s “fun” i guess.
This I can agree with the. I can forgive them for the profession balancing a bit because it would very difficult to balance this to all profession. I think someone of every profession has done it now so it is at least doable.
One shots mechanics are fine in a game like this but how the idea of putting dodge dependent bosses in the same area as zerg farming got past anyone without someone realizing this was a terrible idea due to the lag it would cause is astounding. I don’t know, maybe having this much of a lag issue is rare? still it seems like it could have been easily avoided. I have it on the lowest settings and still getting under 10 fps. I gave up trying to fight liadri because everything looks like is doing short teleports around the arena rather than running whenever I fight her.
I don’t mind too much because its not like you have to do this to progress in other areas of the game and the mini pet is nice to have but not a game changer but I would like to be able to try this fight without the issues. I’ts probably too much to hope for that they put the gauntlet in a instance in a later update this time around but I hope they do next time or at least just more it out of zergland.
Making you appear dead outside the arena and run back is just a frustrating inconvenience that adds nothing.
The bugged rifts aren’t the only issue. This update just seem to have a lot of bug this time around. I’ve had the floor not close after dumping someone out twice.

There is actually a Charr Mesmer in one of the personal stories. It doesn’t end well for him unfortunately but that wasn’t because he was a Mesmer.
Charr have a stigma against magic but Mesmer specifically? I don’t think so. They probably would be considered a coward if they were in blood legion but there abilities fit in with ash just fine.
