In my opinion Salyvari are lacking greatly in available hairstyles. I would personally like to see more long hair options for females & just more options for hair in general.
My question to Arena Net is, are you guys looking into more hairstyles for the Sylvari?
Of course that would be cool but it’s not going to happen. It’s such a small feature in comparison to the rest of the game that it wont have any focus on it. And really that’s a good thing that they’re hashing out the bigger problems rather than adding hair styles. I always say, if you don’t like your hair or face than find a helm that you do like
For E-Sport the gear would have to be identical on each team, stripping it down to the base mechanics. This would be to have a fair competition
One shot mechanic is completely ridiculous. It reminds me of D3 where they stated it was a challenging experience, but 1 shot =/= challenging. Challenging is actually taking the time to develop some strategies on the AI’s part and having to figure out the strategies and counter them, or mechanics.
There are strategies to avoid getting one-shotted.
Fix immediately or a large part of the player base will fade away once they actually encounter how annoying it is.

Because dodging is definitely a strategy that makes an encounter “challenging”. No doubt you’ve been suckered into believing what makes something challenging.
GW2 is not a game based on the concept of “endgame”, as in being enslaved in a circular flow of repetitive grind->reward system.
Anet has been yelling for months that they were doing away with that kind of endgame and were going to give us legendaries for PvE, WvW for PvPvE guys and sPvP for pvpers.

Guess who’s to blame.You know what is hilarious, you say they didn’t want to do this but they did. The whole game has many aspects that promote a circular grind already for a reward.
So you know what? Why not let us structured PvE folks have our rewards for completing harder content with more powerful loot.
I have to agree with you. My leveling experience thus far has been the ‘carrot on a stick’ for gear with stats.
Anyone who says gear doesn’t matter in GW2 is fooling themselves.

Yes, but this game isn’t gear dependent. Meaning they don’t offer any higher tiers of gear and don’t set the player’s goal to get high level gear. The hardest accomplishment in this game is getting a legendary item, which is an exotic but with a different skin..I mean common, who cares? I wouldn’t, if there isn’t any real reward, if there isn’t any real impact on what I’m doing than why would I do it. I wouldn’t.

So I just read that article, and I’m kind of shocked.
dude, the whole point of the article was that Orr ISNT the entire endgame. once u get to Orr and finish it, u move on to the rest of the world (lower level zones) and complete the content youve missed. or you level crafting. or explore.
Complete the content you missed, so what does that entail? Doing all the heart quests and getting barley any money? Farming Karma from any DE you can find to get your exotic gear? Farming your crafting up to create your gear? Explore the whole map, get all the WP’s, all the PoI’s – Vistas to get what, an achievement unlocked? You don’t get anything for it, there isn’t any real progression after you get your gear because gear is the only thing that actually effects your character and how he plays. You don’t do more damage by unlocking the whole map, you do however get a nice little plaque on your login screen and get to see fractions that = 1
After 80 there is no character progression at all

It will never happen! A Net has already stated this is not a gear dependent game. If you are looking to get good gear from dungeons than you’re looking the wrong way. If you want dungeons to actually give drops, it will never happen. Dungeons are suppose to be challenging and the only reward is the success of spending hours beating one. Once again, the game is not gear dependent, thus making the playing field equal for everyone. If you spend majority of your time playing the game or you spend little of your time playing, both will be equal. This is not a game where you can devote months playing, it’s a game where you hop in and out of, gaining all achievements that matter to how your character plays (Gear, Skill Points) within a short amount of time. It’s a casual MMO intended for the casual player and gear deters casual players from playing because people who spend time getting it will have a statistical advantage over them.
The multiple difficulties is actually a good idea and with the higher difficulty the better loot. But wait, this game isn’t about loot or gear… So than what would you get from having different difficulties? Better exp?
It’s the saddening truth. One of the things i love the most on MMOs are the dungeons/raids. A controlled environment where a group of people (even if a PUG) will be put together to a challenging content. Problem is, none of the dungeons are challenging on the right way.
How they are challenging: large numbers, the boss hits you for half your life. That’s the very same difficulty of D3, large numbers are NOT FUN, not mention the boss life….
How they should challenge you: Mechanics, things that does not happens anywhere else in the game and are unique to that boss (especially fun if there is more than one way to overcome this). Let me give a example:
This is exactly how I feel, I immediately thought of D3 when “challenging” was proposed. Since when did getting 1-2 shotted become challenging? That’s ridiculous. There’s nothing to improve upon, there’s no flaw in your decision making because if you want to participate you’re going to get hit. Only way to avoid it would be to not melee.

I’ve been stuck on this for so long, over 10 tries. Once you wipe on him it’s impossible to come back without resetting the instance. The AI is completely brain dead, it’s atrocious. He always goes after you, is extremely fast and can’t be snared; knocks you down and that’s about it. I guess I’m lucky because it takes him 3 hits to kill me. Glad they’re implementing a fix
So we need bosses with contested gys ,
Humogous hp ,
Numerous adds ,
Munipulate the elements of nature ,
Cast thunder all over the place every 1 min , forcing the players to hide under trees (whle the trees is burning cuase of the lighting thunders ) ,
Players must kil the adds , while some of them must use the water buckets to burn out the fire/heal the tree before the next thunder or all ppl will whipe ,
While the boss lowers his chin casting slowy 180-turn firebreath ,
Hide behind the trees-rocks (the trees die)
Or players must kill the adds fast ,
Some of them equip the mobs skin as shields , and stand in frond of the tree-players to protect them , likeusing Gear shield and abosrve all the range attacks aiming at ur friend ?Nah …. too much hassle
Because bosses that 1 shot you is definitely challenging… That’s not challenging that’s just ridiculous, there is no room for improvement.
I’m D/D and I can’t remember the last time I’ve used death blossom. If there is a large group I’ll throw a dagger. If I need to evade I’ll evade. The cost of initiative is worthless when compared to the other skills you are using more often. HS, C&D. Also there is a delay when actually executing the animation, at least a second after you press the button will it even execute the animation; which means just evading is better than using DB as an evade
No, I haven’t played any MMO’s in a long time. I fear in a month or so I won’t be playing any at all. Give this game another month and we’ll see people’s answers than, once majority have completely all the tasks and than there is nothing really left to do but PvP
This game isn’t completely gear based, so once you get 80 and everyone else is..what really separates people? I heard skill but honestly..Skill in pressing buttons and maneuvering isn’t that substantial to have a hierarchy around like you would gear. There is no progression after 80 and you get your full gear, once you do that you’re left with just WvWvW
The dialogue is childish. I never watched any of the cinematics because I know it’s going to be bad. Reminds me kind of D3 where they had this extremely childish way to telling a story and the villain would tell you his whole plot during a fight; DBZ style. Really annoying and only works in anime.

I C&D a monster, then trying to C&D again will give me a message saying “immune” and I will not cloak. This is all within a 2-3 second time frame. Is there a hidden cool down on this ability, and if so, why? I didn’t know Thief class was restricted beyond there initiative pool already.
I can agree with the OP. No one wants to make them easier per say but they want the loot to be on par with the difficulty. This is great what you had to do but, doing it five times will it still be fun? What about even more? Eventually it will come to a point where it is not fun because the fun part was learning how to actually beat the dungeon and cooperate as a group. The risk reward is not high enough by any standards. And while you could care less about loot the first few times because it is fun, eventually you’ll be wanting something for your efforts. And that is where the problem lies.
This game isn’t about stats, so maybe it just isn’t for you.
This is a bad example. This person has done what everyone else is expected to do, whether it be a month or three months. Eventually everyone will come to this point and then what? You’ll have much more people with the same problem.
There is without a doubt a brick wall you hit at 80, where once you complete some of the things you’re left with nothing beneficial to do. Sure there is other things to do but there is no benefit to do them..Naturally people don’t do things that do not benefit themselves.
Lol, this joke of skill, you should know how to play your class once you reach 80 and all the inner tweaks, combos and such by the time you reach 80. You don’t hit 80 and then have no idea how to play your class then tell yourself “well, I gotta work on my skillz now”.
There doesn’t have to be a grind for gear but there certainly is a wall of no progression once you hit 80 and it’s really turning people off from even logging on anymore. People like to invest their time into one character to see it get better and better and also to compete with others as well. The gear grind is just a form of competition with other players.
I like steal but only with certain traits does it become anything really useful. It lacks consistency with what skills it gets. I don’t know if it ports you to the back of the person but it definitely should
I made a post in suggestions as well. It’s horrendously frustrating. I also notice there is no animation cancelling, while be it as it may I still wish there were because it would make combat smoother.
They could just reduce the damage by a lot when the target is above 40% health, they should also increase the initiative cost to 4.

Broken, are you crazy? Than there is no damage to get them down to past 40%. Because you spam a skill doesn’t mean it’s broken. Wow.
I would like to see some of this listed evidence showing that people have this stuff. I have kudzu, both gift of wood & gift of nature and the bloodstone shard and I had a ton of time off work in between release and now. I was the second guy to 80 on my server and currently the best geared most achieving Ranger on the server and I am not even close to getting my legendary yet. Who are all these alleged people getting this stuff who are magically not posting any screen shots of their weapons or bragging at all.
Much less the fact that people are still clueless as to how to complete the weapons.
Lastly, “Lctl.6198” Yes that is the point i’m making. Only elite/hardcore people should benefit for being elite and hardcore… like every other game.
Also… in regards to all the “Dude its a legendary it is supposed to be hard” bs. You are not reading my post correctly. I am not argueing the path to legendary being challenging I am arguing the items are not worthy of the title of legendary.
I must be the only one to agree with you. Now I do understand what other people are saying and I do agree with them as well but I think there is a middle ground. The weapon can have something else besides more power and more stats. Something that would make it truly legendary besides just an aesthetic.
But a small stat gain would be nice, even if abysmal, to see that you have higher numbers on your weapon compared to others does make you feel like you achieved more.

A lot of people who hit max level are now leaving because there is nothing to really accomplish. And it doesn’t take long to hit max level.
I believe if they fixed the dungeons to give rewarding loot, possibly added more items in their database then we would start to see an inclination instead of attrition
I can only see that if you were to zerg them with melee. Range weapons do less damage when their target is closer to them, no?
I play the thief class mostly so I can’t speak for other classes but the skill que is extremely frustrating. When you’re spamming to get off your Death Blossom or Heart Seeker in mid animation of your auto attack you’ll end up doing it twice; wasting all of your initiative. This is not the only instance of occurrence though. Having an option to turn off the skill queing would be fantastic and would save a lot of hair pulling for all the thief classes and maybe some others as well.
I like more weapon ideas, but I highly doubt they’re going to add completely new weapons to the game like 2H axe or a Crossbow, which would be awesome and should be there in the first place
I 100% agree. The difficulty is fine but the drops are ridiculous, really makes people not want to ever do dungeons..and than what? They’re missing out on some great content the developers took time to make.. FIX DUNGEONS ASAP
