The problem I have with underwater combat in PvE standpoint is that I have to buy gear for it, which is just another added expense and another worry. Water combat is simplified version of land combat do to the fact that half the utilities cannot be used and you are limited to about 1-2 weapons. There is almost nothing unique about fighting in underwater than fighting on land. (Only thing really unique are different ranger pets and enemies, which are just generic fish/shark/jellyfish mostly.)
Water combat has a lot of potential, but it does fall flat on its face and that most people do not want to learn how to fight there.
However, I do not think Arenanet can abandon it or at the very least remove it entirely at least in PvE.
1)Underwater legendaries exist, my friend has one, it would be really unfair to those people.
2)Some of the maps are half underwater (i.e. Bloodtide Coast, Sparkfly Fen, and parts of Orr)
3)We have an underwater Elder dragon to deal with. There could be a lot of potential there to make underwater combat engaging. However, since Arenanet does not care anymore about Elder Dragons and instead focuses on just creating other storylines that have NOTHING to do with the main story of the game, I doubt this will ever happen in GW2 lifespan.
Also, they have added 1 thing to underwater content. Underwater fractal. Other than that though, you are right.
I agree, underwater combat needs a massive rework.
First off, good job Anet on fixing up Eternity to make it unique to its components.
The aura is really nice (fits my theme perfectly) and the new footfall window is amazing.
The gem on the end is really the cherry on top.
However, there is still a few problems with it.
1)When you unsheathe Twilight/Sunrise, a ring burst from you for about 1 second. This does not happen with Eternity.
2)Some weapon skills are still not updated and do display legendary effects (at least for warrior, idk about other classes).
For example, when you use the 4th skill on a warrior, you throw just a regular sword. When you throw Twilight/Sunrise, you throw the actual legendary.
3)When you go down, you throw rocks. When you go down with Sunrise/Twilight, you throw mini versions of those legendaries.
With these three minor fixes, Eternity will be perfect. Good job Anet.
I got to 500 weaponsmith and 425 Huntsman yesterday.
From 450, yes you can craft ascended materials, HOWEVER, the amount you need to craft from about 470 to 475 is outrageous (it will take you along time to get the amount of materials needed to this). Once you hit 475, ascended materials do not increase your level, you will have to craft exotics to get to 500 (and I mean ALOT of exotics) and it will cost you at least 50g+ at current prices.
Once you get to 500 crafting, it takes 8 days to craft 1 1-handed weapon. We are looking at a month or 2, if you want several weapons. Pray for weapon drops is my advice.
Why do they have to be legendary or ascended?
Why not just make the mini’s you listed?
Does the color of the name really make that much of a difference?
It depends on the player, the time invested, and what they do with said time.
Flipping is a good way to make money but you got to know what to flip and when to flip it.
For example (omg, somebody sharing secrets? Get out of town!) yesterday, I logged in to see the update content and the legendary changes. Naturally, the first thing I did was go onto to the TP to see their prices.
I decided to place a buy order for 2 bards at roughly 110g a piece, and then I flipped both of them for about 199g a piece. I made about 120g off the whole deal in about 2 hours. Would I do it now? Hell no. The price has stabilized and all the people causing inflation have finally settled down.
Like I said, the answer to your question is dependent on the player.
I hate to beat a dead horse here, but it really does seem like Anet did not think the price through.
If this not case and they did think it through, then I find it insulting that they think I would be dumb enough to fall for this.
So what is Anet? You failed to think something through (which is not new) or do you think your player base is really dumb enough to fall for this?
Either way Anet will not look good.
Can it be both?
It could be, but I would think that Anet would be…. oh wait nevermind.
This forum seems to be plagued with people making this types of the threads that basically point a stupid decision made by someone.
While it is indeed amusing to some extant, I find them devoid of anything constructive and in fact annoys me to some extent (mostly due to the fact that the joke has been played before).
I think we get it, people make stupid decisions all the time.
(And no, Im not the guy listing the 39 Genesis.)
Down here in the States, you can find them at Target as well. Now being an ignorant American, I do not know if they have Targets in Canada, but if they do, you can try there.
Posting in this thread again.
Its like as if people want everything handed to them, and if it is not, it is considered too hardcore.
As if.
Mighty lazy arn’t we?
There are plenty of sites out there that gives costs per discipline and gives several different costs per discipline depending on how fast you want to do it, if you want to use karma, etc.
So just add all the costs for the 8 disciplines up and you have your answer.
TL:DR?

I came in here, saw the OP, and then was like -______-
But I still need a comment saying SOMETHING, so Ill say this:
You spelled “Legendary” wrong.
I hate to beat a dead horse here, but it really does seem like Anet did not think the price through.

So I never really understood this logic.
Why cater to casuals?
I have heard claims and claims that there is a larger casual base than a hardcore base…. but is this really true?
Now I might be wrong here, but I would imagine casuals are the people more likely to move from game to game after 1 month or so then a hardcore player.
So what I see Guild Wars 2 doing is:
Most casuals move on to other games in 1 month or so no matter what you add to the game. It is just their nature. At the same time, hardcore players are alienated and leave.
So the outcome is that you are losing on both sides. Would it not be better to keep the hardcore fan-base, so you are at least winning on 1 side?
Maybe Im missing something here…. hmmmm
Yes, you’re missing something. You’re making assumptions with no facts to base them on.
My assumptions are based on my years of gaming and stuff posted in this very forum. While these could not be facts necessarily, they are merely observations that I have seen demonstrated which seem to be aligned with the truth.
I could say that you have no facts to disprove my assumptions, but that may be a little convenient for me, so I will try not to take that cope out, but we will see.
Oh joy, more threads on Lemongrass.
Go buy Quartz. No really, you need to prepare.
The latter is not a gamble or a risk. If you sold your 7 zodiac skins to highest buyer, you would still have more money than even the highest skin cost at lowest seller.
Like I said, the new option is all RNG with a lower payout, then the old option with no RNG and higher payout.
So first off, the amount of RNG involved is so high in obtaining 7 tickets that you would be better off just converting gems you bought with real life money to gold and buying the skins off the Trading Post, then using those gems to buy keys.
If you are not using real life money and you are converting gold to gems…. well then you are an utter fool as the amount of gold you need to do this far far out succeeds the current fused skin prices on the Trading Post. But lets forget about all of the stuff mentioned above and you still decide to do it. You obtained your 7 tickets. Should you then buy the fused weapon?
The answer is still NO. Lets look at trading post prices for a second. Now, Im going to be round off some numbers and place prices in extremes just to prove my point.
Lets say a fused skin is 250g (this prices is rather high compared to what the prices actually are and you most likely can get the skin cheaper than this). What you can do is use your 7 tickets and buy 7 zodiac weapons. You can then sell this skins for about 40g (this is basing off of highest buyer and after taking in taxes; AGAIN, you can probably get more money then this for the skins, but Im trying to prove my point here).
7 skins x 40g per skin = 280g total
This means that you could buy the fused skin for the 250g and have 30g left over, which is much better than wasting 7 tickets on JUST the skin.
Moral of the story: RNG is horrible trash and you should never buy into it. 7 tickets is a horrible price and Anet should feel horrible for implementing it.
Except that the reason why they priced it so expensive is to keep the rarity of the skin in tact.
Anet wants to do two things with these skins
-maintain the rarity of the item
-provide an alternative to still obtain the skin for those that truly wanted itAnd what better way to do that then price the skin so high that only those who really want it will pursue it?
If you don’t believe me, hear it from the man himself:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/bltc/10-days-of-special-sales/page/2#post2689914
Yeah, but what Anet failed to realize is that there is absolutely NO reason to pursue the other option due to horrible RNG and the fact that there is cheaper ways to obtain the same thing. You have to be a fool to us the 7 tickets on a fused skin when you can get the same thing and then some for using those 7tickets on something else.
Why even have an Option B when Option A is better every way no matter which way you look at it?
All it does is make it look like Anet has no idea what they are doing, and even worse, it makes it look like Anet thinks we are all idiots.
So I never really understood this logic.

It is because very few people have them and nobody really wants to be the first to put them up.
Lets say 3 people have them that are actually willing to sell them. Since there is no set market price, the first person to put it up will be basically setting the price. Now, as soon as that person puts it up as a listing for lets say 250g or whatever, the other two people can just undercut that person by 1c or whatever they want. Nobody wants to be the first person to put up their stuff cause of this.
Like an above poster said, it is always a gamble, but playing the TP always is.
My advice is just wait and sit on your money and just wait for another investment (one you are more confident in). I think the time to make money on Roses has past and it may have a very gradual increase overtime, but unless you buy vast amounts of them (which is hard to do and is time consuming in itself), the amount of profit you will be making on it will be minimal for a long time (I am talking about at least a year by my guess.)
Like others have said, prices are determined a lot by looks which determines demand for said item (i.e. ghastly shield or jetpack). I just do not think the rose has such a demand.
Save your time and money and wait for something else to come along.
Why are you including farmers in Frostgorge Sound in this stereotype? The only event you fail there is the quaggan event, which spawns the champion quaggan. However, if someone does complete the event, the quaggan doesnt spawn, but all it really does is remove 1 champion out of the rotation.
That event and Inquest event in Malchor’s Leap where if you fail you get a champion to spawn are poorly designed by Anet. There is absolutely no reason to complete the first event, because 1)you will get credit for a event (the second event), 2)you get champion loot, and 3)the outcome has the same impact on the “living world” that it would have if you had completed the event.
I for one enjoy seeing the new life brought back to Frostgorge besides the times when Claw of Jormag is up. Frostgorge is my favorite map, so having something to do there is awesome.
I know I deviated from the main topic a lot, but the point Im trying to make is that you should not bash the people in Frostgorge for just running around killing champions.
So anyways, I tried to waypoint to Incubation Waypoint in Rata Sum (Bottom Left) and I was put into a cell with no way out. I had some friends do this, and the same thing happened. I also guested servers and got the same response. I tried walking through the Asura portal and that did not work.
Unless Im missing something, this is a big problem as:
1)You cannot get the waypoint and PoI for map completion.
2)Cannot access the diving goggles for the achievement.
So many jealous people in this thread. I find it hilarious.
The only profession that is iffy to me is Necros, the rest I can usually live with in my party. But if we invite a person to a group and they make the group composition worse then we will not hesitate to kick them (i.e. another squishy when we already have like 3).
I will also kick people based on gear. Im not talking about specific exotic gear, I mean people wearing green/yellow gear. I have been playing this game long enough to notice when someone is not wearing exotic gear and its been annoying in Arah lately with people coming in with green/yellow gear. If you are not fully geared in at least exotics for Arah, you need to reconsider doing Arah. That dungeon really does require exotic gear unless you feel like being a hindrance to your group.
Let these people who haven’t run guild puzzles run them first to see how broken they are then they will understand how they work…
When a group of guildies complete a task in a puzzle it opens a door, when that door opens it shuts another door, effectively locking out the rest of the guild who were too slow, helping others etc, who then must redo the puzzle again, which takes time, of which we have very little..
When you do guild puzzle expect a good percentage to get NOTHING….
If you do Brisban wildlands guild puzzle expect a huge percentage or all to get NOTHING..
I have done both even with Team speak and coordination we still get people missing out…
We did Proxemics Lab yesterday with 30+ people and every single person that participated made it to the end. We made sure not to move on to the next room until everyone was there and still finished the puzzle with 5minutes to spare. We had mesmers port people who could not do the jumping parts and some people even accidentally waypointed and I still got managed to mesmer portal them in to the location the rest of the group was at.
Dying is never fun, but dying because some dev thinks it will funny to have players fall to their death is even worse. The next game I play will not have any jumping puzzles.
Sounds like the next game you play will be pretty boring without any challenges in it.
I quite enjoy beating the ever living snot outta puzzle warriors in WvW, not that there is much challenge in that.
Sounds like some complete arrogant nonsense.
Based on this thread there is no reason for us to even try to unlock this level of guild mission. We’re a small guild and we’re not a bunch of puzzle experts. So, thank you yet again Anet for content that that a small guild cannot possibly do.
I guess we don’t count.
You need 6 people to successfully complete either one of the puzzles.
1 more than a party for a dungeon.
Having a defeatist attitude before even trying content gets you no where and makes your entire argument invalid.
Yeah I agree with MLieBennett.9031 about the solution being allowing guildies to come back and help.
My guild always has people willing to escort through rushes but it seems like if someone misses a jump, no one can rez them and they take personal risk just going back to help. And it’s 4 personal risks to help 1 person. It feels really awkward. People will probably say “forget about me, go ahead”.
1)Throw down Portal
2)Go back to last room guildie is stuck in.
3)Portal Them Through
4)???
5)Profit
This is why they do not do that.
And to title of the thread. They are called Guild Puzzles and not Guild Jumping Puzzles. There is very little jumping involved.
Hey everyone,
For the longest time, most of us did believe that you had to remove the fire shield from him by using Boon removal. Even Dulfy had this on her website. This was never the case to defeating Half-Baked Komali, and we have been wrong this whole time.
To remove the fire shield correctly, Komali will throw an AOE flame geyser on the ground. From this geyser, flame jellies will spawn. You must kill all of the flame jellies in order for her shield to go away. Simple right? Well, there is a problem. It is currently bugged. Most of the time, Komali will not spawn the flame jellies, and thus you can never remove the shield.
My advice is to just keep DPSing her down in order to unbug her. When she reaches 50% health, she will begin to function normally.
I get what your saying, but the achievement list is just there in order for players to know exactly everything there is to do.
If they did not have this, you would have a ton of players complaining about being lost and not being able to figure out what exactly they have to do to get their rewards.
Honestly? Think about what you’re saying… This game is HUGE, and that is no exaggeration. You easily get $200+ worth of content for your $60 and you complain about 1 tiny bug that is fixed by you waiting what, 2-4 weeks? In the mean time why don’t you just go explore the other 99.9% of this game and 100% other areas? If you’ve done that then there are plenty of other things to do in that time, and if there aren’t for you and you’ve fully completed everything (near impossible at this stage in the games lifecycle) then I can only advise taking a break.
Saying people should not be entitled because they purchased the game “cheaply” (which is subjective in itself) is hypocritical because you feel as if you are entitled to tell them that.
Also, telling someone to not complain or voice there opinion is actually counter intuitive and degrading. If Anet is never made aware of the problem or made aware of an unhappy consumer base, nothing will ever be changed. You would rather have someone sit back and do nothing than have them come to forums and at least attempt to be productive about fixing their problem.
Finally, you act as if you know all of the internal workings of Anet and how they go about programming their game and how they handle bugs, but you obviously do not know these things so I would stop pretending you do, good sir.
I play a lot of MOBA games such as Dota 2 and HoN, so every time I fight a thief in this game, I always think to myself “Man, wish I could buy a gem for this.”
(Note: Gem is an item in Dota 2 that can be bought to see invisible players, but when you die you drop it on death, so any team can pick it up)
While I am not advocating for an item that can be bought to counter stealth (as this probably would not be the correct answer to it), I would like to see an effective “counter” to it. The options we have now are not true counters to it.
I guess my suggestion would be a utility/weapon skill that allowed the user to see stealth users for a limited time.
How this would effect the meta, I honestly do not know.
I am always curious as to why people put anything worth more than like 50s into the guild bank.
Influence can be bought by players themselves and if you want someone to have a commander title, why not just send them the money via mail?
Guild Rushes is kinda of annoying in that regards, but generally if someone does it, I just tell them not to do it again. Lately, it has not happened, so I think my guild finally learned.
Guild Challenges I think has a different set of permissions as one of my members could not activate it when I told him too, forcing me to do it.
Diplomat Tarban is not as hard as people are making him out to be. You have to play smart and if you do not play smart… well, I guess you will fail and come crying to the forums.
Tarban has a few moves:
Blurred Frenzy: Tarban will walk up to a player and proceed to use Blurred Frenzy on them. It is only a melee attack, so you can easily just move out of it. Also, he will be invulnerable during this attack, so you should just stop attacking him.
Chaos Storm: He will throw Chaos Storm on the ground randomly. Just move out of it or you will take alot of damage, pretty simple.
Blink: Not really an attack, but Tarban will blink around to different players.
Chaos Armor: Tarban will apply Chaos Armor to himself, and everytime he is attack, you will receive one random condition and confusion stacks.
Feedback: This is the skill everyone cries about, and the irony is it does not even do direct damage. It works pretty much like the regular mesmer skill does, and will bounce back projectiles that hit the shield. In addition, if you sit in the Feedback too long, you will begin to have 8 stacks of confusion applied to you every second. He also throws up to three Feedbacks out at a time. SOLUTION: Move out of the bubble and cease attacking for 3 seconds. You do not even need to remove the condition since it only lasts 3 seconds.
Once you understand all this, he becomes really easy, and the only way he will kill you is if you get caught in his Blurred Frenzy or if you get stuck in his Chaos Storm.
Komali:
If you have more than 5 people at Komali, you are already failed the fight. You need at least 1 mesmer to kill Komali. Even if Komali bugs and the fire shield will not remove, if you had gotten her to 40-50%, you can still just auto attack her to death. 5 players means the scaling will not go crazy and should be a pretty simple fight taking no more than 4 minutes at most.
What to do in Southsun:
1)Enemy that cannot be fought anywhere else.
2)A decent long event chain
3)Guild Bounty
4)Guild Rush
5)Guild Challenge
6)Two jumping puzzles
There is some stuff there to do. Its not completely barren…
MMO’s generally do not become e-sports. Guild Wars 2 will never be an exception.
As of now, we do not really know if sPvP is balanced as it has not been picked up competitively. There are no tournaments with monetary prizes and as such no one has gone “pro” in it. If it ever did, I guarantee some combination of classes/builds would be discovered and abused. Anet would have to keep up with patching sPvP and updating it with new content about every week to keep people hooked. sPvP will become vastly different than PvE, which is something Anet is against. This will never happen.
The other issue occurs in match length and actual interest by observers in the match. Playing sPvP is interesting, but watching it is a real snooze fest and does not generate much excitement. Do you see players with large viewer counts playing sPvP on twich? Nope, hardly anyone streams this game and nobody of interest does. There is absolutely no interest in watching other people play the game. That is a big problem if you want to make it an e-sport.
The last major issue is competition. Anet would have severe competition with other e-sport games and unless they spent a ton of money promoting the game as an e-sport, they will only just be pushed out by bigger e-sport games.
Moral: Leave e-sports to the arena games.
Basically how Yanonka works is like this:
Suspicious rats are located around the map. The rats always spawn in relatively the same location like Sotzz’s barrels. You cannot interact with the rats before a bounty is started.
Once the bounty is started, you can begin talking to the rats and see if they are correct rat. They will bite you and then run away. The correct rat will do the same, but Yanonka will spawn right there.
Do not engage Yanonka unless she engages you first. If you do not engage her, she will just stand there and wait around for awhile. During this time, get your party over there ASAP. If she does engage you, you are going to have to kite which is incredible difficult due to her mechanics.
Yanonka herself is a thief. Her main attack is the thief “steal” attack where she will blink around and hit you for a ton of damage. Fortunately, it has a large telegraph so you can see it coming and evade appropriately. Unfortunately, she will do it 3-4 times in a row, in which you do not have enough dodges usually to evade all of them. The pet rats she spawns will not be hostile until attacked so it is important not to use AoE and instead try to focus her with single target abilities.
If you fail and your party wipes or runs out of time, the rats will respawn around the map and she will be located again in a random location.
In terms of limiting the RNG to find her, there really is no true method. It pretty much involves knowing where the rats usually are at and then getting luckily.

At the very least, you need 20 people for a tier 3 bounty. Anything else and you are really pushing it. Also, 20 people is by no means a guarantee of success either as a lot of it comes down to luck.
That being said, I do not believe any of the bounties are particularly hard to kill once you understand them even 2-MULT and Komali. Komali may be bugged however…
The problem is, is that I cannot be 6 places at once, and unfortunately, not everyone understand the bounties as well as I do. This means mistakes are bound to happen and even groups of 10 people killing a bounty can fail and wipe at times due to lack of skill and knowledge.
In order to increase you chances of succeeding, you have to make sure everyone that doing it completely understand what the heck is going on. Communication is key.
So this is a discussion about Sotzz in his current state.
Background of me: I run guild missions for a large guild of over 400 members and have been doing this since bounties where first released. Before the update, I mapped out every single location that Sotzz can spawn in, and the map can be currently found on Dulfy.
Anyways, now to the actual problem. Sotzz used to be that bounty that took a little while to find, but once found he really was not going anywhere. It was a decent concept that could be avoided by finding him beforehand. However, this really was not a problem since you had to worry about 14 other bounties to find during tier 3 bounties.
Jumping past the patch, and now getting Sotzz is pretty much an automatic failure. It is impossible to find him beforehand due to his new mechanics, and I guess it can be somewhat understandable. However, the problem now is that he literally only stays in the place you find him at for less than 2 seconds before reappearing somewhere else. This makes it almost impossible to activate him as he disappears before you can activate him. I was doing a tier 2 bounty today, and he popped out of his barrel and then almost instantly disappear leaving no time for me to do anything.
This causes a few major problems:
1)You cannot even activate the bounty and kill him anymore. You have to literally spam the button to activate him before he disappears in less than 2 seconds.
2)Lets say you get lucky and do activate him, you now have a champion mob that can literally 2-4 shot anyone in the game and you now have to survive until help shows up. If you do not survive, he just despawns and you are back to square one.
3)Lets say some random stranger finds Sotzz instead of your guild. Sotzz will sit there for two seconds and then respawn both him AND his barrels. Since he is completely random, you now have to go back and look at all of the locations you just searched. But get this, you don’t even know to do that since a random person found him and your guild didn’t, so you don’t even know he reset again.
He is either bugged or rather poorly designed now. This was obviously not thought through beforehand.
So now, during a tier 3 bounty, if we happen to role Sotzz, we will literally sit there and wait for the 15min to expire and then try again. I will not have my guild sit through this impossible RNG that is Sotzz to get it done, and rather take my chances on the other targets. I rather sit there for 15min instead of trying and failing(which is almost guaranteed) instead of wasting another 30min finding all the targets again.
(edited by Diviner.7405)
No, Sotzz only resets if he is activated and fought by a guild during a bounty (whether he is killed or not).
If he is never fought, then he will literally never move from the location he spawns in.
Sotzz is currently bugged on some servers where he does not spawn again after being reset.
Are you on Sanctum of Rail by chance? I believe he is bugged there…
Yeah, it does get somewhat frustrating having to open up the guild panel to look which bounties are still left and where I need to send people to.
I think the most important thing that needs to be implemented is an on-screen timer of the time remaining, that gives time down to the sec. The timer is probably the most important thing to view after you activate a bounty, and I find myself opening up the guild panel to check this quite often during a bounty (time management is the most important aspect of bounties IMO). As of now, the guild panel timer only gives minutes with no seconds displayed until the very last minute. Often times Im left wondering, for example, if I have 4min 59 seconds left or 4 min 1 second left. That almost minute difference that is essentially hidden from players can make all the difference in an activity that only lasts for 15min.
At the very least, I would love to see this before anything else.
I might release it in the next few days either on here or Dulfy. It just needs to be redone since it is visually unpleasing to look at.
Thanks.
Also it may be pretty close to medium. My point was that the norn heavy looks pretty medium to my eye, which is part of what makes it cool to me.
hey Anthony this is pretty cool, this guy is the first npc with Unique looks is’nt that right?
it will make him stand out more.
I know for a fact that Caithe has unique looks because I tried to make an exact replica of her and her face and hair options cannot be chosen in character creation.
I believe the other members of Destiny’s Edge all have unique looks that cannot be recreated as well, but I am much less sure on this.
Honestly, 30 people for tier 3 bounty is reasonable… if those 30 people all can easily communicate with each other, know exactly what they are doing, and can take initiative to get it done.
I run bounties for a very large guild that can generally get 40-50 people out for a bounty. However, I am lucky if I can get 30 of these people on teamspeak, and even luckier if 15 or more even know what the hell is going on….. let alone being able to take initiative if something goes wrong.
T3 is very time consuming from the fact that unless you have the most perfect team ever (apparently the beta testers), you have to go out and find them beforehand to make sure you have enough time to kill all of them.
So as a leader, I have to make sure that people volunteer and go out to find the bounties beforehand, and have to repeatedly explain to people what we are doing and why. Not being on teamspeak or another communication program really makes people utterly useless as well, since 1)I cannot reliably assigned them to find a target beforehand and 2)cannot depend on them to go to the right place when the bounty is popped.
My guild has completed a tier 3 bounty every week since release, and the only two times we have ever failed it was because of a certain NPC called Half-baked Komali. Now, this NPC is a very special case because unless you zerg her with 50+ people, you will not kill her unless you understand her gimmick. She is a boss where you need a certain party build in order to actually kill her (i.e. at least 2-3 necros/mesmers). Having to take this into consideration and create a special party just for 1 of the NPCs is just another thing you can add to the list of things that need worrying about. Komali is a very anti-zerg boss once you understand her mechanics and she can be unintentionally or even intentionally griefed by other players who do not understand her mechanics.
Sotzz is not a problem for our guild, but this is because I find him hours in advance to the appointed bounty time (Sotzz never ever moves and will literally stay in one place for days at a time, the only time he can actually move is when he is engaged by a guild when he is a bounty target). Also, most people rely on Dulfy’s map, which, let me tell you, is really bad and should probably not even be looked at with the amount of locations its missing. I spent about a week going out and tracking down Sotzz and suspicious barrel locations and as such, I have a map that shows every single location he can spawn. Most guilds do not do this however…
T3 bounty can be done, it is not impossible and the only real luck actually comes from Prisoner 1141 and her pathing (surprised no one mentioned this). The rest is just time consuming and trying to organize people. I really hope the new bounty targets do not need special attention like Komali does, and hope that any group of 5 players can actually kill them without a predetermined party.
I like the idea of the jumping puzzle in WvW, I just feel the execution was poor.
The puzzle as it sits is too linear and thus people can easily just camp one single point in the puzzle. I feel they should have more than one way to the top. This will allow smart players to avoid zergs and will cause zergs to actively move to different parts of the puzzle to stop players from reaching the top.
As it sits right now, its a snooze camp fest for both sides, because the campers just sit there bored and the people trying to the reach the top do not even bother. Removing the linear aspect will make it much more interesting for everyone.
We made an informative post (majority of the people in the thread have agreed this is all mostly common sense) about some bad habits people tend to have while playing this game, and MMOs in general.
Again, don’t waste our time and we won’t waste yours.
Common sense =/= informative. In fact, those two words are pretty much the opposite of one another.
You cannot be informative if everyone already knows the information presented. Therefore, you prove that this entire topic is useless. You also prove that you are elitist against everyone that is not you.
I would love to see the thread title changed to “Dungeon Propaganda: Let me tell you how to play.” It seems much more fitting.
Don’t waste our time creating bad topics and we won’t waste time making you guys look bad.
