All endure pain needs is a shorter cooldown. It’s warriors only viable means of sustain and that’s what we currently lack. 35 seconds cooldown on endure pain. 45 seconds on Berserker stance.
Same. Anet usually punish exploiters but when it comes to pros, they turn a blind eye. That’s not good. Anet needs to step up and punish exploiters no matter who they are.
Love the suggestion! The cooldown on those stances should also be around 45 seconds. In todays meta, warriors need those stances just to hang in there with the more powerful professions.
I enjoy climbing the divisions. It’s fun and rewarding. But it will feel like all that hard work will be gone soon once the league resets in a month.
I hope for the next season, players who made it to higher divisions can start at sapphire and not amber so that players of different skill levels don’t have to face each other see a one sided beating.
Rangers tend to beat Dragonhunters from my experiece., esp Rangers who use stealth alot.
This Abjured team simply wins against everything deemed OP and broken by the rest of the community, they can play classes/build deemed UP by the rest and still own left and right…..are they gods…or simply better than the rest of us?
You must be pretty blind if you think they used UP builds. They use what’s optimal for their team compositions. If the Abjured can use a compositions of warriors and thieves and win a tourney, then this thread has some validity. As other have pointed out. PvP in gw2 is very small. Being a big fish in a small pond isn’t that impressive.
If you revamp the dragon hunters it will seize to be a dragon hunter. I like how this specialization is design. We can make traps ground targeting. Since Tempest Auras is a big problem for Dragon Hunters why not give Hunter’s ward the ability to remove all forms of blocks or reflects. There are many ways you can add to these mechanics and make them viable.
Not fully change the mechanics just change the unimportant ones like the usless minor trait, a grandmaster trait. The way traps do damage stuff like that
IF you mean changing the way traps do damage by making it more effective then I agree. Otherwise if it’s more easy to avoid then it’s the death of dragon hunters as we know it.
Not true anymore. A lot of lower tiers are picking up the metas themselves. I see a lot of mesmers, rev, reapers, tempest nowadays. I don’t think those buffs will make them OP just helps them against the crazy strong metas we have now.
Lower tiers always pick up metas because they don’t know any better and just blindly copy what they see on ESL.
That doesn’t mean DH isn’t OP in low tier. DH provides a large amount of power for a low amount of skill, which in low MMR means it’s horrendously imbalanced.
If DH was OP in low tier then we would see an increase of them in low tier however that’s not the case. Less and less dragon hunters out there now. Low tier players might not be the best at using the metas but they don’t have to be because they are fighting other low skill players. Since the emergence of the bunker metas, the traps are not as effective anymore, even low tier players can survive the traps and out sustain the dragon hunters.
The only two professions worst than DH are warriors and thieves. I think these profession needs some buffs. I suggest making true shot not rooted. Hunter’s ward should grant protection to allies and increase the damage. Symbol of energy should give a big heal. Test of faith should remove 2 conditions from u and allies when enemies passes them. Procession of blades radius should be bigger and increase the duration.
No definitely not, we dont need skill buffs we need an overhaul to our mechanics so we have the depth to compete
IF you change the mechanics, it will no longer be a dragonhunter. Might as well save the new mechanics for the next specialization.
We need to nerf the overused, over played, flavor of the month stuff, not buff everything else to provide new flavors of the month when the old flavors of the month get nerfed.
I think we have been asking them to nerf mesmers since launch. Someone in high position in Anet loves those annoying clones. So it’s not going to happen so might as well ask for buffs.
I’m Ruby and I really wish Anet didn’t name these divisions after gemstones. >:l
I notice the gem stones color ranking are quite similar to karate belt color ranking, except Diamond should be lowest since it’s white color.
Remove their stealth abilities.
E-Sports should never allow bunkers to outlive Burst builds. Imagine if League of Legends were design that way where bunkers can live forever. Would it still be successful? The key to having a good spectator game is to see players getting killed or a whole team getting wiped. These pillow case fighting is bad for the game and the sport.
Gw2 has too many defensive mechanisms and too many ways to heal. I think all profession needs to get gutted so they have less defensive abilities. It’s time to bring back the offensive builds.
The easiest way to determine if the a bunker is too good is to have a greatsword warrior try to kill it without it fighting back. IF the warrior can’t kill it in under 2 minutes, then it needs more nerfs to its defensive abilities.

This wouldn’t make it viable, it would make them OP
Sure they are not in the ESL, but a lot of PvPers in this game are in lower tier, and DH there eats most of players

I noticed there are fewer and fewer dragonhunters out there in pvp now that players knows how to beat them. There are no dragonhunters in the ESL. I agree. I don’t like that the league division number is visible on our name. It’s just ugly when you see a bunch of name tags with numbers all over the place.
I don’t believe you quit unless you send me all your gold and bank treasures.
Dungeons were not intended to be soloed, and were because mechanics could be avoided single handily (LoS, vertical ledge…).
You don’t have to use LoS or Vertical ledge to solo dungeons. They made the bosses very beatable. Just have to learn the mechanics and dodge the big hits.
For Solo Raid mode, just remove the group mechanics and allow you to face the bosses head on. Just make them extremely hard to beat solo.
While we’re at it could we please introduce a solo mode for WvW as I don’t want to rely on on others?
That’s already implemented, just join the new borderlands.
LOL
So what should be done to make a brawler Warrior viable? That’s the problem.
It’s not hard to turn warrior into a bruiser that can survive and dish out big attacks. Look at Reaper, it’s basically achieve that. So to match them, just make Berserker mode pulse resistance and activate defiant stance for 5 seconds every time they enter berskerker mode. So for 5 seconds you are basically unkillable. This will allow warriors to be the best bruiser in the game. If 5 seconds is too good, then drop it to 3.
For the most part, Dungeon is soloable. I would love to solo Raid. I don’t want to rely on others. There should be two modes for Raid: Solo and Group.
Which gear set would be best for Dragonhunter in WvW?
To be fair, Gw2 Pro League is still new. Can’t expect it to be a huge spectacle from the start. Although I wouldn’t watch it because there is just too much going on. It’s very hard to follow. I think the only way to make the match more viewer friendly is to have 3 cameras on each point and we can watch all fights simultaneously. Would be nice if Gw2 have a feature like Starcraft 2 where you can download the match so you can view it in game as if you were spectating it.
Sad to see that Guardians/DH are no longer part of the metas. I’m glad ANet didn’t get a knee jerk reaction to all the whining about DH’s traps and nerfed them. Now we see that Guardians/DH might need a slight buff to make them viable again. Of course, warriors and thieves needs major major buffs to make them viable.
I agree with you on everything except the very first point. Elite spec is purposely design to be stronger than non-elite spec. Why would gaming company do this? It’s not only to hype up the new builds to encourage sales, but also to change the metas to keep the game fresh. If the new elites were not better than the old, then players will not care much for it. In the gaming world, new things is what keep players coming back for more. If the new things sucks or if it doesn’t live up to their hype, then the game becomes stale and boring. Look at the warrior community, their Berserker elite sucks and they are not happy. If the community is not happy, players will eventually leave for something new and better. So it’s very important that Anet made the elite spec stronger than old spec. It will keep game exciting as players will need to learn how to play and defeat the new metas. This is what you call progression. And it makes the game fun and extend the life of it. As a gamer, why would you want to keep playing with the old builts? 3 yrs of playing the same stuff gets old.
Gang him up. It’s good Assasin-type build, but will have serious problems being outmanned.
Your suggestion on how to counter a build is to bring teammates? lol
Burn Berserker longbow warriors have highest dps. You should look up the build on youtube. You can stack burn pretty easily. Just reach Berserker pop the Primal burst on top of your target, then auto attack with longbow. With the right traits and gears u will stack burn fast.
Burn Berserker longbow warrior has highest dps in the game. Whoever told u warriors are bad at pve lied. They are excellent in pve, just bad for pvp.
It all comes down to nerfs. Each time warriors had a good build, it got nerfed due to the complaints on forums. Skullcrack got nerfed, Hambow got nerfed, Shoutbow got nerfed, and last Rampage Warriors got nerfed. So there is nothing left for warriors. It’s funny because the amount of complaints DragonHunter are getting far exceeds Warriors yet warriors get nerfed rather fast.
If they want to fix warriors, revert some nerfs, esp adrenaline nerfed. Make fast hand baseline so it opens up build diversity and give warriors more sustain abilities such as overhauling the new rage skills so it can help warriors stick close to their enemies. And fix all the gab closing skills so that it actually works. Another thing they should do is speed up the animations of warriors attack and increase some of the range of his attacks.
I’m not sure if it’s intended that warriors are left behind to ensure the popularity of Revenant which will increase sales for Hots. Basically it just feels like Revenant got all the buffs that warriors been asking for. Revenant is basically warriors 2.0.
HOLY COW! This profession is awesome. Had no idea it is this good. Good job, Anet! Only thing I wish Rev could use greatswords. My Belinda Greatsword would look nice on my Rev.
I have to agree. This raid is too easy but it’s not the timer that needs changing. I think the encounter could be a lot harder. The bosses needs more powerful unblockable/undodgeable moves that wipes anyone who has less than 95% health at the time of attack. So the healer has to make sure everyone is at full health before the attack. Also they should put invisible holes that players can fall into and die. The only way to avoid the holes is to memorize all 30 different possible configurations. It should feel like you’re fighting a boss and doing a difficult jumping puzzle at the same time. And just to make things even more interesting… all players attack moves should have a lag-effect, like how it is in WvW when two big zergs collide and your attacks are not registering until 3 seconds later. And to make Raid a serious business, any players who leaves a raid or gets disconnected during a raid will have their account receive dishonor and their raid gears confiscated. And if you fail a raid, your character’s lvl will downgrade as well. Now that’s is some hardcore raiding. Let’s do this! Make raid more challenging. XD
we can throw rocks
Pretty much sums up the state of warrior/berserker at this point. The so-called masters of weaponry are left throwing rocks….
Especially from downed state.
Are u that char on FA with the bolt? If so, I think I fought you in WvW. I’m from TC.
Hi Doon yes that’s me. Thanks for the fight. Not sure if I won or lost the fight :P Can you jolt my memory and what class are you ?
Prof Snarl.
I’m that warrior with the hammer. We had a 1v1 in front of TC keep I got u down then SOS guys intervene and killed me while I tried to stomp. Then we fought again and I won. xD Good fight. Btw, sorry about using the terrain to save my butt when u got me good with your condi. lol Yea, I thought it was u.

Some players wanted to feel the epic journey to craft precursors, and not simply buy it from TP. Well, you guys did get what you wish for. I enjoy the old system where the precursors are extremely rare drop. The excitement you get when you get that first precursor drop is amazing.
Yes Anet do put the same items in the store from time to time. Belinda’s Greatsword has been listed in the gem store at least twice already. I expect it to return someday. But it might be a while.
What if Thick skin provides immunity to critical damage when warrior health is above 90%?
1st – Endure pain + trait is 8 seconds of immunity to damage and if used well, in cruicial moments it turns the tide in warrior’s favour.
8 seconds? LOL Please look up the description and do your math. Not to mention Endure pain does not stop condition damage.
Sorry deception but you are wrong saying that its a l2p issue and that diamond skin is far from OP vs a condi class….everything being equal (player skill wise etc) they are immune, can’t be killed thus the ppl complaining. You can argue that its fine to HAVE to call for someone to help OR simply to not run a condition build but making you immune to conditions and unable to be killed by a pure condition build is OP. Argue as ya like whether it is acceptable or needs to be changed.
Sorry, If you can’t even deal 1.7k damage before you spam your condi, how do you think you’re on an equal skill with your opponents? Perhaps, you’re overestimating your skill?
Sinning is right though. A full condition build cannot drop an ele down to 90% health. It basically hardcounters any condi builds because ele has good healing ability to keep it’s health above 90%. A minor trait that renders all pure condi builds useless and requires help from teammate to help is OP.
I am still learning how to use the staff and would love to see a video of a good staff Daredevil in action in spvp or wvw.
I agree traps desrlerve a nerf. Whetger they are op or not, ‘cheese’ like this has no play in a so called competatative game imho.
Competent players aren’t having any issues against traps. I played thieves and warriors mostly in spvp and I hardly ever get killed by the traps. When I see the traps trigger I evade out of the damage zone. After that the DH aren’t as tough.
Regarding the OP comment, the whole point of team play is to organize cc to take out a target, the point that traps can allow that sort of strategy is what this game design is all about. As a warrior, I have to rely on cc to get off my hundred blades. This is the intended design of the game. Team strategy and organization beats individual skills.
I know Berserker died at birth. But how about warrior class in general? Are there any pros left that still use warriors in tourneys? If so, how are they performing?
^im no warrior main, but a moving 100b sounds terrifying.
You mean like Rapid fire?
God Tier: Herald, Chrono, Scrapper, Dragonhunter.
Good Tier: Reaper, Druid
Viable Tier: Tempest, Daredevil
.
.
.
.
Trash Tier: Berserker
yeah, those warrior buffs are sorely needed.
revert Rampage and Vigorous Shouts nerfs, baseline fast hands, you know what to do anet.
Don’t forget revert Adrenaline nerfed. Considering how strong other classes has become i think if they revert Adrenaline nerfed, warrior will be back in contention.
Becareful of what you ask for. When Anet nerf things, they tend to destroy builds. Players will always use the best builds. If it’s not Dragonhunter, it’ll be Burn Meditation Guardian again. I hate to see classes get nerfed to the point that players switch their main, like what we are seeing with Warriors. Players complain about Hambow, then adrenaline nerfed happen, then shoutbow, another nerf to shouts, then it was rampage warrior complaints, well that’s nerfed too. Now warriors got nothing left. That’s why I don’t support nerfs, I want them to buff other professions and give them means to counter. I rather all professions have many viable builds to use, like mesmers do.
Arena should focus on making must-have traits baselines so that it free up more build diversity.
Originally the attack speed in Berserker mode was 30% as Robert said. I hope they consider reverting it back to 30%. It would help this spec alot. Also think adding superspeed to Berserk mode would really make the spec super awesome.
I hope they would consider these changes.
