Can someone post a screen shot of the beginning of the tour and the npc?
No TY, having it compete with Brawler’s Recovery and Destruction of the Empowered, terrible idea.
And you can pretty much throw out the idea of what is an Adept, Master and a Grandmaster out the window. Once you select a trait line you are locked into the entire trait line. All that matters are the traits that compete with each other in their respective lines.
I’d rather have Merciless Hammer compete with Heightened Focus and Burst Mastery than DoTE or BR.
All the other weapon reduction traits are classified in master tier. How is that not following the Adept, Master, and Grandmaster guidelines? I rather have the option to get Merciless Hammer plus Burst Mastery/HF then have either DoTE or BR.
I agree. Anet just hates warriors
Don’t say stuff like that even if u agree. Perhaps Anet just over-looked this trait and place it in the wrong tier. Hopefully they will agree with us and move it to master tier like almost all the other weapon’s trait.
All other weapon reduction traits like forceful greatsword, blademaster, sundering mace, and longbow’s burning arrow are categorize in Master tier but Hammer is placed in grandmaster tier in discipline tree. This is not fair to hammer warriors. Please reconsider moving Merciless Hammer to Master tier replacing Inspiring Battle Standard.
If my opponent runs away or kite with swiftness, warriors no longer can close the gap with mobility skills. The travel speed of warriors using mobility skills is practically the same as someone just running with swiftness. So basically we can’t close the gap so how can warriors get in range? That’s a huge problem for melee focus class.
I agree. This mobility change is not good for the game. Having your movement skills affected by speed change is clever game design. Either they should revert it or speed up the mobility skills as it travels way too slow now.
I hope warriors specialization don’t take away the essense of being a warrior. We are about offense and physical brute force. Don’t make Warriors into spell casters or support class. That’s why I feel a staff with the spec Monk would fit. Make the monk very evasive and has good cc while deal extreme burst damage.
I want that big dragon arrow! Then the name would fit.
Staff: specialization name will be the Monk.
Hunter sounds WoW-ish. This is Guildwars, so the name should be DragonRanger.
Thx Arenanet for the new Shield Mastery Trait. Been waiting for this change for a while. Love it! Good to see that you guys listen to our suggestions. I’ll definitely take this trait over dogged march. The fact that some people have a hard time choosing between the two traits is a good sign you guys got it right.
Unsuspecting foe is in a bad spot. Sadly, no skullcracker will sacrifice a whole tree just for one minor trait, even though it is essential for the build. The Arms tree seems to be design just for sword and unsuspecting foe is practically useless for sword builds. Even though Unsuspecting foe is a precision base trait, I think it would be best to move it to Strength and replace Building Momentum with Unsuspecting foe. This will help preserve the current skullcrack builds and make it more viable against new metas.
I think sPVP would be better if the respawn timer gets gradually longer as the game drags on so the a complete wipe of an enemy team can mount a comback. Right now death seems of little consequence when you can run right back and contest in a few seconds.
My suggestion:
5 seconds delay to start the game, then double every 4 minutes that passes and caping at 40 seconds.
5 seconds (0-4 minutes of game time)
10 seconds (4-8 minutes)
20 seconds (8-12 minutes)
40 seconds (12+ minutes of game time)
A fresh start for all servers. I would move out of T1 if transfer is free with the release of HoT. I also hope we’ll finally see a plan in action that will encourage population balance.
I remember when I started playing this game and I heard that in WvW, I started running away from the enemies thinking it was our commander calling us to retreat. It’s a horribly name shout skill.
Yes, I wish they would retain the auras of the legendaries even if the weapon is stowed just like how the footprints are always there. However, certain weapons effect should be off when stowed, I prefer incinerator’s flame is off when stowed. It looks cooler when the flame shoots out as you wield it.
That is an amazing looking spot. Guildwars has some of the best sceneries.
Former thief, love warrior now. I just enjoy fighting in the open, no more hide and seek. If you feel thief is too squishy why not play a condi thief? You’re tanky and u can do good condi damage.
Whatever what the Warrior run, more than 1 warrior is a waste.
So you would pick a party of 4 condi necro over 4 zerker warrior?
I guess you’re having trouble following the conversation.
He said having more than one warrior in the party is a waste. What you said is not even in the least bit relevant to what he said.
Nah I’m just teasing his statement. I never see another warrior as a waste, not optimal but not a waste, but 4 condi necros now I consider that a waste.
The downside to it being so good is that you’ll most likely have more than 1 warrior on a team using the same exact thing like empower and phalanx which nullifies the effectiveness as they don’t stack and 1 warrior can already rack up 25 might with ease.
If I have a chance, I try to get a bunch of dps eles on my team when I run phalanx lol the dungeons runs are amazing.

At least link some pics so I can see what you all talking about.
Looks like two different Evon to me. One is Captain Evon Gnashblade and they other is just Evon Gnashblade. I bet Captain Evon is upset the other Evon got the name first.
First, you should use the weapon you find most fun. Test them all out. For gears, get anything that has power, precision, and ferocity (known as beserker stats), lower gears don’t have all 3 so get ones that have either of them. For pve, utilities get “for great justice”, banner of discipline, and signet of fury. For elite, use signet of rage. For healing, use healing signet. Stances are mainly for wvw or pvp. You can take all three stances. I don’t recommend you play wvw yet til u reach lvl 80 so u can unlock all important traits.
As a warrior, you should learn how to use all the weapons proficiently. So then you can switch builds around for different purpose. Once you learn which weapon sets you enjoy playing the most, then you can find the best build for that set and use it in wvw or pvp. Site like metabattle is a good place to find popular builds. Good luck.
This was too hard an opportunity to pass up. So me and my boyfriend went exploring for interesting picture opportunities. Lol.
Asura with a human boyfriend? Eew!
Best solution is to have this April Fools joke only affect players in non-combat zone like the cities.
You should definitely try bigmonto’s build suggestion. It’s excellent for 1v1 fights. Very easy to use as well. Basically stay on longbow mostly and use double sword when u need to block or put torment on enemy with skill #4. Whenever your long bow burst is at max adrenaline drop it on top of you so it creates an aoe flame that burns anyone standing inside of it and cleanses your conditions as well. Then hit them with all your long bow skills and they should be dying pretty soon if they don’t have enough condi clears. Just use shout when u need to heal up a bit. Use fear me or shake it off if they stun you or when u need to cleanse or heal. Don’t forget to dodge when things are on cooldown. You should do fine. I recommend watch Vaanse video, he shows a good example on how to play with longbow as well as stacking might to make yourself stronger throughout the fight.
Doing damage is all the contribution anyone really needs, so I rather do it in style.
You know it’s position on the boon removal list O.o?
Boon removal isn’t the main problem vs necro. It’s their ability to corrupt boon (5 boons)
…something which the current berserker stance protects against. Sure, you’re boons were gone, but at least they weren’t replaced with conditions…
Still, I don’t think it’s that big of a nerf, especially if it’s a pulsing resistance rather than a single 8s boon that goes away for good the moment you run into a necro, thief or mesmer.
Necro has 2 skills to corrupt boons. They can easily corrupt Beserker stance then throw a bunch of condition on you before it pulse resistance boon again. When the boon comes back up, then switch to deathshrout and corrupt boon again and pack on another set of conditions. Basically your berserker stance fail at preventing conditions.
Even with its flaws, warriors are still good. It’s the most fun class to play for me and I play almost all classes. You should always play the class that has the playstyle you enjoy. Skill always trump class advantages. Don’t misunderstand players complaint as sign that the class is bad. Some complaints are valid though. For instance, our bull charg ability often times does not land close to the enemy or occasionally misses the enemy even. This complaint is valid since our utility needs to work as it was intended. Also due to adrenaline change, some of our traits became totally useless so that also has to be address. Every class has their own problems too and the forums will always point them out but it doesn’t mean the class in of itself is bad. I would say all classes are good, Arenanet did a good job with them. At the same time, there are room for improvements and that’s what some players try to highlight in the forum. Although there are many bad complaints on the forum due to “learn to play” issues which got some classes nerfed for no good reasons.
It’s fine imo. It really fits the profession well: you’re not supposed to arrive in a fight with Adrenaline built up. You’re supposed to gradually enrage, and liberate all this rage in one burst. As soon as your enemy is dead, there is no reason for you to still keep your adrenaline level up.
But that’s not exactly how it is. When you are in the middle of a big combat with lots of enemies around, you still get “out of combat” which causes you to lose all your adrenaline in seconds. This has been a big complaint since the change. So does it make sense that a warrior in the mist of battle losing all his adrenaline when there are more than one enemies to slay? You are not relax just because your first foe dies. The battle isn’t over but your adrenaline is gone. That’s why many here suggested that the adrenaline decay have a grace period say 10 seconds before it starts to go away so you have a few seconds to go tag another enemy to remain in combat and not lose all that you build up.
I think the compromise solution is to limit reduce adrenaline out of combat down to 50% like how the Revenant energy when he goes out of combat is 50%. However, if the warrior leaves the map or log off, his adrenaline goes back to 0%. This will retain your idea that warriors doesn’t arrive into a fight with adrenaline while also not screw those warriors who are fighting in team battles and punish them for finishing off one foe or if his target retreats back into his group causing you to lose all your adrenaline cuz he ran out of combat.
I think adrenaline should only decline to 50% out of combat like how the new Revenant has it. This is the best compromise. You still need to build adrenaline to maximize your burst at the same time you don’t lose everything you work for.
this would be ideal
Hopefully this suggestion can reach the dev.
Three or four seconds, I don’t care for either. I just wish it was consistent.
I agree. It should be consistent throughout all game mode, either 3 or 4 seconds but not both. It’s one thing to have different damage in different game mode but to have different timing is silly. When I play my thief in spvp and wvw. It’s annoying to have to adjust the timing. Makes playing thief feel unnatural.
You know it’s position on the boon removal list O.o?

Berserker Stance will pulse resistance boon over time in a similair way to rampage. Ty for attention, bye.
Source? Since Balance stance didn’t pulse, can’t assume Beserker stance will either. Hope you are right though or else that utility will be quite useless.
It wasn’t 1v3. It was 1v1 and then 1v2. With the engie being extremely squishy, so not surprise with the outcome. Any competent thief can pick apart a 1v2 if the opponents are extremely squishy. Thieves are known to be zerker killers. Stealth mechanics allows them to dictate the fight to their favors. Hence why many outnumbered videos are made by thieves against players whom are not used to fighting thieves.
So once Beserker Stance is changed to the new Resistance Boon. Is it safe to say Beserker Stance will be useless against necro? RIP my dear friend.
And eviscerate goes from 300 range to 500. Yes one can dream.
Why do so many players call Bull’s charge , Bull’s Rush?
D&D/Pathfinder habits, likely, as it’s a maneuver used to charge and force an enemy backwards.
Well, they need to stop calling it Bull’s Rush. No wonder it hasn’t been fixed, warriors don’t have that move.
Definitely I would take that trait. It would mean my skullcrack range increase to 260, which mean I can land it more often, big improvement. If I take the greatsword increase, then my whirlwind will have a bigger radius as well as my 100blade will cleave more easily. 130 increase is just an initial suggestion as I said. Giving a 200 range increase I think might be best. Definitely would make the trait real desirable. Just imagine Earth shaker with a bigger radius would be so sweet.
You seem fixated on axe 3 toss with no cooldown, I suggest you try a thief. Dancing dagger does exactly that, plus it bounces and hits multiple targets.
I agree. To reduce the amount of toxic trolling in the game, they should also make it where if you blocked someone, you can’t unblock them for a week. So this will prevent those trolls who simply unblock you to message you after they block you to gain your account name, which happens quite often in WvW.
Why do so many players call Bull’s charge , Bull’s Rush?
You serious? You wan 900 range increase for melee weapon? Yea that will go well, just cleave multiple enemies to death. A 130 increase is significant at the same time not too strong. I could see it go as high as 200 range increase. The idea is not to make a trait too strong that everyone wants it but good enough that it’s viable for certain builds.
Why pick, when u can be all 3.
You don’t have a credit card? It’s invented precisely for this purpose.
I think adrenaline should only decline to 50% out of combat like how the new Revenant has it. This is the best compromise. You still need to build adrenaline to maximize your burst at the same time you don’t lose everything you work for.
I would love to see Grandmaster Traits that increase ranges of melee weapons like how they do so with ranged weapons.
For example:
Slasher – Increase range of Greatsword skills by 130.
Smasher – Increase range of Hammer skills by 130.
Basher – Increase range of Mace skills by 130.
Chopper – Increase range of Axe skills by 130.
Of course all these new traits will be in the same grandmaster tree so you can only pick one weapon to have this benefit.
100 blade, whirlwind, and bull’s charge (when it actually works). The most satisfying moves in the game. Not to mention, fast mobility. All this while using the best looking weapon in the game – Eternity.
Banners and phalanx strength are essentially all the warrior is used for in groups so if they aren’t complying with bringing what they’re expected to from you, you should probably just kick them…
What a horrible mindset that creates a toxic community. If it’s a pug run, the players should play whatever build they want. It’s a game not a job.
My only complaint with food is that the duration isn’t stackable. I hate having to constantly eat to refresh the timer, I’m surprise my warrior doesn’t get cramps with so much food in his belly.
I also agree that +40% condition during food is a bit too OP. Should tone it down to +20% at most.
