Arena Net doesn’t want you to defend, they want stuff to flip frequently. And when Arena Net wants something that’s how it’s going to be, no matter what.
If you want constant action around the clock then JQ is the server for you! We have been fighting outmanned ever since we entered T1 but we have stayed strong through it all. Currently we are sorely lacking everything outside of NA prime time to be even on a remotely close level with BG and SoR in the upcoming leagues, but if you are NA I’m sure we can fit you in to.
It’s not OP but it (and immobilize in general) is poorly implemented which leads to some annoying bugs, such as getting immobilized in the air which makes it impossible to use skills and as such kill the vines, or being rooted in a spot on the edges of the vine where you can’t attack it unless you have some kind of leap ability that forces your character to turn around.
Oh and I doubt anyone would ever brag about killing XOXO.
Well you did brag, you came to the forum not more then 2 minutes after the last fight to post about your huge accomplishment.. Not only that you inflated the facts in order to make the situation look better for you.. You also took multiple screenshots during the fight so I guess you must be really proud to kill some XOXO, go you!
You will notice we didn’t take any SS’s of your dead bodies when we wiped you, or your kittenes running into the keep npc’s after 1 of your guys got killed..

I have nothing against you personally or anyone in that group we fought. I have a problem with all the people (who were definitely XOXO) who used to talk mad trash back when you played against DR, resorting to character assassination galore, but maybe those guys are gone.
The way you titled this made it sound like 7 XOXO. Not 5 XOXO and some random add ons. That makes a big difference. Your screenshot shows there was 5 total. Credibility gone.
Because one isolated screenshot tells the full tale of 1h+ of fights? You can’t first claim that my screenshots prove nothing and then spin around to use arguments built on them, especially when I only used those screenshots to prove the fact that we had 4 players rather than to showcase how many players XOXO had.

The whole time the fight was pretty even on numbers , some we had 1-2 more others u had 1-2 more.. At no point was it 7v4 though which was my only reason for responding to counter that LIE.
Yes we were playing badly, yes you outplayed us.. But to come on here saying you repeatedly wiped us 7v4 to stroke your kitten is kittening gay..

Here is a nice picture conveniently taken right before our massive 8-man group routed you. It also shows how our commander is right behind us backing our zerg up with another mega zerg. Or something…

Isn’t changing the PvP meta the main reason they’re doing a balance patch in the first place?
If you look at the leaked balance changes and Sharp’s post you will see that nothing is being done about the condition meta, unless you count adding some condition removal to an already useless skill.
Conditions in this game have fundamental flaws that are made worse by Arena Net’s poor design decisions. For example, the PoV “bug” was nice because through Arena Net’s infinite wisdom they decided to put small conditions like a bleed stack on the autoattack for many condition heavy weapon sets.

Yes it’s true you wiped us once, right after you swapped the guardian for a necro.
Subsequently we swapped the thief for a guardian to have more condi removal and proceeded to spawn camp you again. I will attach an image to show that we did indeed have 4 players. It also humorously depicts a broken XOXO running back to spawn after we stomped half your group.
Anyway, isn’t it annoying trying to uphold a lie? Deep down you must know that we are better than you, just like [Holy] does (although they were slightly better than you). Telling yourself we aren’t enough times won’t make it so. Or maybe you just blame it on some of our super cheesy builds like condi D/D or P/P thief?

It is with great sadness that I must inform you of the permanent ban of our consummate pro forum warrior…. Bird Song, known amongst his friends simply as Rob. I know it is hard to fathom how such a dedicated gw2 gamer can get the ban boot, but we all know that there was a conspiracy against him by ANet due to the proposed renaming of StoneMist to BirdMist. Hopefully there will be an inquiry into this injustice and we can once again be flooded with hilarious gifs that are not only truth but also inspiring to us plebs. It will be my honor to light a superior flame ram in your memory!

The person in question was never a pro forum warrior, as evident by the fact that he got a permanent ban. Doubly so because his posts were consistently one or more of 1) nonsensical, 2) illogical, 3) contained childish GIFs, 4) contained poorly veiled insults, 5) tried to impose authority over other posters.
In this case the moderators couldn’t be more just.
Anet can ban you all anyway chinese market is open, Anet doesn’t care to hold players that don’t respect game design as it has been intended, like you would tell Anet employee I don’t care of all work that has been done here nor I respect it. WvW have to stay clean from GvG people. XD

I don’t see what the dev did wrong, you ARE ruining his game mode. Players there should be there for wvw. Its one thing to play the game how you want, and another thing to deprive other players the opportunity to play the game as it was intended.
If these guys are indeed violating his game mode (lol), and are breaking the ToS, then they should be banned rather than having to endure this lame dev coming in and trolling them.
He’s obviously a WvW developer, calling WvW “his”. Since WvW only has two developers working on it, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that the developer depicted is in fact Devon Carver. Hugh Norfolk doesn’t seem like the kind of bitter dude who would do something like this. Devon has also shown a visible distaste for GvG in the past.
Sol is right, FA and DB have moved on from t3 with superior skill and organization. Maguuma is just sitting in mumble playing dating simulators all day on their welfare checks.

Hi, sorry for dropping in kind of randomly like this, but since [SE] is now on IoJ, has anyone come up with a clever zoomhack name like the old Zoomhaven? A match up between us seems to come closer and closer and I would want to know what to name the forum thread.
Yes, Devon Carver thinks it’s really fun when things swap owners all the time, which is code for “I can’t make defending rewarding so I’ll just incentivize attacking instead”.
The problem is that Devon has painted the whole WvW development team in a corner. When he said outright that the forum community was a vocal minority that can be disregarded, he basically told the forum community that they were completely wrong about the Bloodlust buff, as well as the league system. Should these two features prove to be a fiasco, I really don’t think that Devon will be able to swallow his pride and admit that the forum community was actually right. That would set a huge precedent for future updates to WvW.
Now don’t get me wrong, it may indeed be the case that the forum community is a vocal minority, and that 90% of the game absolutely love the Bloodlust buff. However, the general consensus among almost all of the people I regularly play with seem to be a different one. We also see post from people who legitimately never post on the forums, and while I may be biased in this, the arguments FOR having Bloodlust in its current implementation don’t seem to hold water.
Devon can keep talking about how the WvW population is growing under his watchful eye, but until we see statistics on this nobody is going to believe him. Besides, if he actually thinks there is any form of causality between adding something like Catapult mastery and having .1% of the PvE population go to WvW I really don’t know what to say.
