Yes we are both eligible for ranked games..we were playing the day before without issue but today it won’t allow us to queue and no we don’t have dishonor either

again the instant we click “ranked game” it gives us the message that the queue has been abandoned but it seems only this account is affected.

We are both in the same map and not in loading screens, the instant we press “Ranked arena” to queue it gives you the abandoned queue message no matter how many times we press it.

the queue won’t start at all for this particular account but on another account the queue works just fine.

Everytime I try to queue with my friend in ranked pvp, the queue is instantly abandoned and gives me the message that I must queue again.

Queueing solo has no problems though

Healway is basically a supportive medi guard now running three meditations.

An experienced player could probably modify it to their liking in regards to damage output.

Alpine Borderlands needs to be prio #1

I am having loads of fun on Desert maps atm. EB is overblobbed anyway, and has queues. It will be overblobbed even when Apline maps return and will have queues then too.

But then players will have an alternative to EB. At the moment my two options are queueing for EB or going to a dead borderland. The end result is me just closing the game. Currently only one BL keep is flipped in T2. For a Sunday afternoon that is completely abnormal – especially given the increased playerbase the world linking brought.

You can argue as much as you want that desert BL is amazing. The hard fact is that nobody plays it, which is why Arena Net is bringing alpine BL back. If you had played WvW before HoT you would see what an incredible decline WvW has been in since.

IIRC from when it was released someone tested it and the regeneration was actually two seconds, not one.

And I don’t see why it wouldn’t be affected by boon duration.

Why would you want to use Rune of the Defender? The 6 procc will always go on a 30 second cooldown when you initiate fights due to your aegis. It’s the reason why this rune is completely useless for guardian. It’s been brought up many times but ArenaNet obviously has no intention of changing it.

Since nobody wants to play desert borderlands EB ends up with a crazy queue while the other maps are empty or full of semi-afk players waiting for their EB queue.

ArenaNet needs to quickly roll out the alpine borderlands. It would alleviate many of the concerns on this forum right now.

You really need to rework this system ArenaNet. I’m from FA myself but it really sucks to see the smaller servers lose their identity.

I honestly don’t see how it would be hard to keep track of four servers instead of two.

Personal Story mastery points

Hello. Almost half a year since expansion and this bug isn’t fixed yet.

Many personal story achievements do not give Mastery Points even though it’s stated that they will in the achievements tab in-game.

I have reported this six times now through in-game bug report feature, here, and through support tickets starting the week after release. Nothing has been done.

If this is something unique to my account could you at least let me know?

Mastery points are still not awarded properly from personal story achievements. Reported in-game, through this forum and with a support ticket. Months after launch and still no fix.

It’s almost as if the entire point of having “full” servers is to make new players NOT choose those servers.

The non-full servers contain the entire range of guild niches when it comes to WvW, I promise. They are free to choose any.

How do you propose getting that guild some fights given T2 is not an appropriate venue?

They chose to buy a game that has no SEA servers. You can’t possibly believe that the needs of one SEA guild could possibly trump the health of the entire game mode.

Unfortunately with the current functionality this will be completely useless. You need to be able to see boons and conditions on your party members or you are just crippling your team. Either allow this to be used in conjunction with the party UI or have it show boons / conditions for your party, perhaps by allotting a larger part of the UI element to your own subgroup.

The timing is correct for the animation when you are unsheathing you weapons while running.

I think most professions have pretty good F skills that become even better when you trait for them. I think Guardian has pretty much useless F skills that become good only if you trait into them.

It just doesn’t feel right to me.

Runes, sigils, foods, certain armors and weapons, are all expensive, and can’t really make up the gold for them unless you follow a zerg around and collect bags from players or lords, even worse if you spend little to no time in pve and all your time in wvw roaming.

Reward tracks for various activities in wvw like a track for camp captures, or tower captures, or player kills etc., would be nice.

Spvp basically has no cost, but they basically have better rewards than wvw from their tracks.

To be fair if you ran around a map in PvE only reviving allies who are downed you wouldn’t be getting a whole lot of loot either.

ArenaNet intended for WvW to be about zerging, not roaming. That’s why the rewards are what they are.

In the light of the recent Druid reveal, maybe it’s time to finally fix Orb of Light? The thing has been bugged since release and utilizing it to it’s full potential is extremely annoying. I propose something like:

Old
Fire a moving orb of light that damages enemies and heals allies it touches. Detonate the orb to heal nearby allies.

New
Tether a moving orb of light to the targeted position. The tether damages enemies and heals allies it touches. Detonate the orb to heal nearby allies.

See attached image. The tether itself, for the duration it takes the orb of light to travel to the anchor, would heal or damage players near it (within the AoE, and only once per player, obviously). The Orb of Light, as it travels along the tether, can be detonated as usual (ending the tether early, and inducing the 12 sec cool down).

Look, I understand what you are trying to do, and I think most of these upgrades sound kind of fun, but I strongly disagree with upgrades such as the Dune Roller. I don’t want open field battles to revolve around players getting insane buffs that will allow them to steamroll other players.

If you aren’t currently playing then how can you comment on what is going on right now? I play both power and condition builds and neither has a higher skill ceiling than the other. Lastly in my experience people kittenort to name calling in a debate/argument know deep down that they are wrong.

I have friends who play daily. Also I am not calling anyone in this “debate/argument” names.

Oooh you edited out the part about my qualifications darn. I’m pretty sure that calling condition players morons is name calling. It really makes me sad that so many players are either unwilling or unable to learn how to counter builds that they don’t like and instead come to the forums and cry.

While that statement was true I don’t think it would sit well with the mods and has no real bearing on my argument.

To my knowledge I never called condition players morons. I said morons can do well with condition builds.

So you are dying to morons?

The goal of a roamer is to flip camps , intercept yaks, scout and eliminate other roamers. If I am using a build that not suited to this and is being killed by other builds on a regular basis and refuse to adapt then it not the other player that is the moron.

The ability to adapt is available to everyone equally. The willingness to do so is ones own choice. If you will not or can not adapt , it hardly means the other player a moron.

I’m not dying to anyone as I am not playing GW2 currently. I also don’t know why you are talking as if condition builds are better than power builds. Power builds are and have always been better than most condition builds because the skill ceiling is higher. My problem, like I already mentioned, is that the skill floors of many condition builds are high enough that even morons can do well with them.

So… uh… Every day you see more and more roamers that has purposebuilt condi specs for roaming, but since you havent built for countering it roaming is officially dead.

Theres is some sort of problem with that argument but I cant quite put my finger on it.

There’s no problem with the argument. Anyone who has played both condition and power builds will tell you that many condition builds requires absolutely no brain at all. I myself and many others simply prefer a GW2 where people with a brain perform the best. Certain condition builds however allow brainless players to perform on a really high level because of the skill floor of these builds.

It’s endemic to GW2 really because the game is built around skill being as much of a non-factor as possible to cater to as many casuals as possible, but the problem has become more and more prominent with the release of many patches, the most kitten ing one being the introduction of an entirely new condition without changing and condition clearing skills whatsoever.

“Skill groups” are not some incredible show of skill. Maybe the very best “skill groups” have players that are somewhat skilled but the vast majority (90%+) are just your average WvW zerglings abusing game mechanics by nuthugging each other and pressing 1 on whatever is in front of them.

The stability changes are a great first step but I hope ArenaNet removes AoE cap or something to finally kill off the way they play completely.

It doesn’t matter… There are Numerous bugs that’s been around since launch. For some reason Anet isn’t worried about it.

This may sound silly…but if we develop a petition to fix these bugs then it may actually go through. Would need an extensive list of ingame bugs, 800 worth of signed names, stick it in Anet’s face then maybe they’ll take care of it.

This has hardly any effect on casual PvE so why would they fix it?

People are paying real $£€ for server transfers, which is why ArenaNet has an interest in keeping the status quo in WvW where nothing new is introduced so people instead transfer to a new server in order to freshen up their WvW experience.

This is why, for example, all servers in NA are back to “very high” again.

Honestly, the only decent match ups for NA Gold League are the week 1 and 4 match ups. I agree it’s clear the original statement of no repeat matches is false, but that’s a good thing. A TC/BG/JQ match is superior to a BG/Mag/FA match.

NA Gold League is just a terrible league. The population imbalance between T1 and T2 is dramatic and the two shouldn’t ever be paired in a fair competition (even T2 has become unhealthy lately). It’s better than season 2 (ironically season 2 encouraged more surprising outcomes than season 3 did) but NA Gold League is better off the less T1 and T2 are paired up.

I absolutely don’t agree.

I have never played BG but I would very much have liked to. We have the same kittenty unbalanced match up for half a year, getting beat by 300k or 150k doesn’t matter much to me, and even so, those match ups happen every single week outside of seasons. Seasons are useless but if there’s one good thing about them it’s that you get to fight servers you normally don’t come in contact with.

No, that is not a response. He mentions that one world might get matched against another world twice, but nothing about about the exact same matchup happening twice, something that was said would not happen.

Open Letter to ANet: Hackers

Earlier this year I recorded, uploaded and forwarded a video of a guy hacking to Arena Net. It showed blatant teleport hacking, me adding him to block list and showing his name there.

The reponse from Arena Net? An automated response about how to recover my hacked account. I facepalmed and went about my day knowing that it’s pointless to report hackers through support even if you have completely condemning evidence. If I go through the inconvenience of policing ArenaNet’s game for them, I’m sure as hell not going to be EVEN more inconvenienced afterwards. I draw the line somewhere.

Merging servers won’t work. The problem is the disparity in OCX population and there is no way you can fill X amount of servers with a decent portion of OCX players without also introducing game breaking queues for NA players.

I don’t believe I can think of a single way to balance out WvW that would fit in NCSoft’s bussiness model.
