Yes it’s a really stupid change. You can easily get 10-15 secs of immobilize stacked on you now since everyone and their mother is running some kind of condition build with +60-70% condition duration. With condition cleansing nerfed in the last patch it’s nigh impossible to remove.
Immobilize was fine before the patch and a hard counter to many professions / builds such as guardian, I don’t understand why they had to go and make it even more powerful. Then again I don’t understand 90% of the decisions the balance team takes anyway…
Well, so far this week has really blown for people who run in small groups or solo. Not everyone enjoys zerg running, but now I see exactly what I have to look forward to in silver league.
I would have to respectfully disagree. From EB there’s AD, BSty and us in EV running around (as well as many more I’m sure). From the other servers I have seen plenty of roamers, some better than others.
This has definitely been one of the most enjoyable weeks for me as of late apart from the massive skill lag on reset night.
Don’t worry, I know there’s at least one UW player who could reassure you that he hasn’t noticed any significant decrease in WvW guilds, is experiencing no skill lag, enjoys the fresh blood in WvW doing their achievements and couldn’t be happier about the implementation of the leagues.
You actually make my point for me..Nobody was around when you took the camp, a few of us ported into bay to respond. Typical fashion many of us go over the wall as shown in the foreground of you ss. It is not uncommon for the stragglers to grab the cannons next to the afk guy on the treb.

You obviously don’t know the whole story. This guy was literally trebbing us in the camp as soon as the swords showed up, rather than coming out to see what was up.

Oh I think this screenshot tells the entire story. Absolutely nobody around (we entered the camp through the hill), and BP has both cannons as well as the treb manned.

We live this every day and we know the story and if someone else thinks differently we can prove them wrong in the league but no amount of arguing will come to any sort of resolution other than spamming the thread.

I was proud of your guys when you fought so well while SF had you outmanned all the time. And now with how well both of your servers fight while moving up. We are brother’s forged in the heat, pressure, and misery of the old Ghetto and I for one hope it is the three of us fighting it out for the top spot.

If we are still the same how come we are beating servers who once beat us?? since we were in the last tier, we had crap coverage, crap numbers, at one point our nightcrew was composed of 9 or so ..
So if we stayed the same and bigger servers lost numbers, shouldn’t we be on equal footing? how come we have beat every server so far? aside NSP and ET?
The logic in your argument is lacking, so is the fact you haven’t been in any of our matchups, and aside you have no clue how many guilds and commanders we have lost , we barely have ever gotten any transfers, and aside from that, we have made it on our own.

We will never know. Arena Net never shares their metrics. Sometimes they drop some obscure pointers to data that could mean a million different things depending on how they were acquired.
You could assume things based on your own experience but that assumption could just as easily be discarded due to a myriad of things.
Nothing new. WvW is about being in a large enough blob that no other blob can touch you, and if your enemy has a bigger blob than you on the map then just move to another one.
Why do you think servers bring a 70-man blob to take a tower? It’s so they won’t have to PvP in the process.
The achievements are possible without ever “having” to be in, say, a 20+ group. I see only 3 that I think would require a large group.
Anyone can flip an undefended tower with 3 to 4 people. A keep, maybe 5.
My point is even one defender can substantially slow those people down with an AC. So why is there nothing for that guy who is trying to hold on to a tower he built?
Because Arena Net doesn’t want us to defend. They have stated multiple times that they think WvW is more fun when stuff is frequently flipped.
Furthermore, I always find these threads silly. There are thousands of expressions defined within gaming that has nothing or very little in common with the same word defined in a dictionary.
Some guy agreed that good players can deal with perplexity…so you must agree that the people who can’t are bad players. Thus l2p issue. But w/e nerf is likely inc, diversity gone, game dumbed down to cater for bads, familiar story tbh.

Oh EBay I am so disappointed with you. You had our NE tower with 2 people guarding it and one little mesmer outside the walls taunting you. You would not come down to fight, even after I went to the wall and moa’d one of you. Then there were 3! Still you would not come down to fight one mesmer. Four? Nothing doing. I’d wait for the balance patch. That being said, for small scale play I feel Elementalists are in a much more stable position right now, and they have the added advantage of a much higher skill cap than Necros. Necros are quite easy to play and you can do it succesfully without much practice but there is absolutely not as much to “mastering” the art of Necro as opposed to mastering that of Elementalist, at least if you are playing D/D.
For zerg warfare I’d say it doesn’t really matter. Both are great in large scale combat and in the greater scheme it won’t really matter which you play.
It will most likely attract a portion of the roaming population.
If I can find fun structured 2v2’s against small-man roamers there rather than fighting PUG groups and capping camps 95% of the time I sure as hell would, but I have a feeling that between ArenaNet devs who feel their game mode was violated and angry players who were violated by aforementioned roamers, there’s not gonna be a whole lot of that. That being said I 100% believe there will NOT be 15-20 man guilds sitting there all day.

I’m sure they were good, I’ve always heard that, I can see the ones who came to BP are good. There are more than 2 -3 btw, and they are very good players, that was the only point I was trying to make.

I think it’s about time we get some Fight Clubs going because apparently CD nor BP has any one that can/wants to solo roam. Too busy hiding behind their Veterans and Ballistas every time we ran across them or couldn’t honor the rules of engagement for a 1v1(if 2 people are fighting, don’t jump in just to get xp). I was roaming with urbanevil earlier and never found a good 2v2. Just the unlucky 2v2 that turned into 2v ~8
