Your skin will wrinkle and your youth will fade, but your soul is endless.
I love glasses, but I hate spiders.
I’m being torn apart!
Now, NOW I see why that SAB thread stuck around for so long. I’ll be looking forward to it’s return next time.
On a side note, I never realized that the Legendary Archdiviner wears something resembling a Margonite Mask. Interesting.
Just like in real life where everything suits everyone, where birds sing and roses bloom as I pass by. Because just like me, they long to be, close to you.
Brilliant! I need to put that on my playlist today.
I’m still working on The Predator. I’ve been gathering materials and such, but I need to complete the Mai Trin fractal in order to progress. I’ve been trying to get my guild mates to go with me because I don’t want to PUG, but for a variety of reasons, it just never seemed to happen.
In the mean time, the resource gathering shall continue.
Yeah, not getting hyped over another raid-related thing.
I finally remembered to take a better screenshot of one of the “gear” symbols. The red parts appear to have a single letter on each one, but most of them are illegible, and the ones you can actually make out are repetitive.
The world isn’t too small, you’re just too large.
Solution: play Asura. Problem solving is their baileywick; even their stature contributes to fixing the world.
~EW
You are too awesome
These two examples, kek and kappa, I can handle, but the one that really drives me up the wall is “bae”.
I don’t mind rangers using pets while afk. I just wish they’d stop using LB4 when melee classes are fighting the same enemy.
While I can understand, and completely agree with what OP wants, for my character, dressing like a small, Dark Librarian (dark colored Heritage Armor) works just fine for her.
….the bloomin’ glider….
Flower-shaped-fried-onion-dish glider confirmed!
Aye, right. Because that is going to happen.
Although… hmmm… food-related gliders? Who doesn’t want to soar over Tangled Depths in a glider shaped like a pulled pork sandwich or a platter of eggs benedict? ~lol~
Or maybe a condiment glider.
A glider shaped like a packet of salt.
Ok, I snorted.
Now you have Gaile snorting salt. You’re such a bad influence Fleshy!
….the bloomin’ glider….
Flower-shaped-fried-onion-dish glider confirmed!
Wow, I guess nobody wants flails.
r.i.p. flail.
I, for one, absolutely hate abbreviations and internet shorthand.
Just tried it out for the first time. Now…NOW I see why all the angst was going on in the old SAB thread.
As a SAB noob (playing it for the first time), how does one get the radio that plays the 8-bit game music? What is that radio even called?
EDIT: Nevermind, I found the info. World 1 & 2 boom box from a vendor in Rata Sum.

…and if you do riot, do it in your own town. Stay away from mine.
Well, I’m not leaving. Therefore, nobody gets my stuff.
I don’t really go for joke or clever names (but I do appreciate them on other player’s characters), so I go with what sounds interesting to me.
Zerina In Aeternum – Asura Necromancer – She is my first character, and my main, and I decided that she dropped her original Asura name in favor of something more exotikittentle did I know that I would see several other “Aeternum” names out there. (The censorship is lame: “exotic” and “Little”)
Thorsimund – Charr Warrior – I wanted a strong name, so I used the name of a Visigoth king, and switched a couple letters around. I get a lot of compliments on this name.
Jaxxi Deus – Asura Engineer – I liked Jaxxi, but it was taken so added somethign extra.
Embrace of Midnight – Human mesmer – I don’t play her much, in fact, she’s still only level 44. I do have big plans for her…someday.
Alastrine Aeternum – Human Elementalist – I named her after my Guild Wars 1 main character.
As you can see, I don’t really stick to one naming convention.
After the meltdown last week, I doubt we’ll ever see a current Cantha now.
Or maybe here is an idea.
Don’t try to act like you’re a Game Director of a huge franchise, who has to make impossible decisions probably daily. I’m not happy about the decision either, but he is the freaking FOUNDER of ArenaNet – one of three, so I think you need to pipe down and let them keep on keeping on.
Instead of making ~yet another~ thread about Legendary Weapons being scrapped, go post in one of the 745326463690 threads already here. Please. We get you’re upset. I’m upset too, but try to take a deep breath and move past this.
It’s easy to play pretend and ~what if~ but you’re not. You will probably never ever have to make a decision that will affect thousands of people who bought something from you. Remember that from the other side of your keyboard.
Preach! ~fistbump~
So what do you want them to do, run around until they collapse from dehydration? They’re being smart not exerting precious energy.
not even the classes that can use shortbow ever touch one
There are rangers that use long and short bows.
and bears
and LB #4 whenever they see a melee char attacking something
I’ve heard that there’s a special place in Hell for users of that skill when others are trying to melee.
I don’t have one.
EDIT: ….yet. Currently working on Predator.

Holy kitten, this thread lol.
I use a combination of Dry top and Silverwastes.
There’s an event in Dry Top where you get to kill a lot of Dust Mites.
Explorer: You bet, I love discovering new places and things.
Nerd: I’ve been one since the summer of 1977, and probably had the seeds of nerdism in me before that.
Grinder: Perhaps, but I’m not really aggressive about it.
Loreist: Yep, and I like going around talking to NPCs as well.
Isn’t that how you run computers, by clicking?
I would love to see them make waypointing free once you open the waypoint.
So you’re anti-Asuran and would love to see us broke then?
You use it if you don’t have a credit card…
This is what I do, not because I don’t have a credit card (I do), but because I prefer to pay for things in cash. I’m kind of old school that way.
I guess just unequipping and putting the tools in the bank when logging out of the current character is too much for some people.
~shrug~
“Why is that rabbit carrying money?” A question asked since the beginning of video games. Probably even longer.
Edit: Come to think of it I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just that more people, and particularly people who only do the story once, picked the Order of Whispers because they might seem like the more exciting of the 3, and they’re the one GW1 players will be familiar with.
Coming from Guild Wars 1 myself, the Order of Whispers was the first one I joined, so you may be on to something there.
Space Marine comes to mind.
In response to the OP, I don’t hate Heart of Thorns.
Do a key run a week. Uses up 8 tomes each week and gets you a key.
I get that unlimited key runs might have been an issue. But these restrictions really should be daily. This was a fun guild activity that was eliminated by moving it to weekly.
However I can’t fault a business for protecting its income and from what I can tell, selling keys brings them a fair amount. In spite of that they allowed unlimited free keys through this method for ~ 3 years. imo, the number of key runners simply became too high and they cut it back to more financially reasonable numbers of free keys.
I can’t fault them either, but I stand by my stance of never paying real money for the kind of lottery ticket style RNG a Black Lion Chest + Key have. If others are ok with buying into that, more power to them.
OP, leave my body alone!
I haven’t bought anything….yet.
East.
lol I meant particular regions.. east of? like bloodlegion and blazeridge? they sound awesome
Yep, that’s exactly where I meant. We never went east in this game or Guild Wars 1. All we know is that there’s a lot of land mass that way, but we don’t know what’s out there. It could be anything, and it calls to the adventurer in me.
East.
- Drastically reduce the amount of Waypoints available in each zone
- Greatly increase the price of using said Waypoints
So, this is actually a “I hate Asuran technology that benefits everyone” thread.
So nobody knows? Interesting. I finally found something that has the lore community stumped.
I realize this may have been asked a few times already, but I couldn’t find anything in the forums.
I was looking at the floor of Chantry of Secrets, and I was wondering about these designs. Obviously, four of them have a Order of Whispers insignia, but what are the other three? What is the significance of the different sizes and positioning? The Order of Whispers wouldn’t just place these randomly, they have to mean something.
Blue skies Colin, and thank you for contributing to world that has dominated my gaming life for the last near-11 years.

~sits down with a plate of bloodstone dust nachos~
Mmm tasty!
I remember the old LA where everyone would hangout outside the bank. We just need that back really. Although I fear it was really the megaserver design that took away this personal/social feel to cities.
I think they should simply un-mega all the cities.
They had a New Orleans and they paved it over and put up a parking lot.
I go to Divinities Reach now.
Don’t you put down a parking lot?
It’s a partial quote from a song called Big Yellow Taxi
“They paved paradise to put up a parking lot”
ANet had something good and they turned it into a concrete wasteland.
Hmmm a Who reference. Nice!

I can’t imagine deleting a level 80 character after putting all that work into it (assuming it was non-tome leveled).
I did get a Black Lion Key drop from a mob in Bloodtide Coast yesterday, however, I doubt I’ll ever get a precursor drop.
