Also, given that the stat differences between exotics and ascendeds are pretty low, there should be no real reason to do FoTM as high as humanly possible each time or to not do it with lower level people who might need help. I mean, the drops aren’t any better, the fractal pieces don’t drop more and other than ascended rings (which again have a pretty minor increase stat wise over exotics), people seem to think that going as high as you can with fractals is the only way to go.

But I don’t see the point in it.

Just because people think they need to fragment the community doesn’t mean it’s actually true.

The biggest haters of the game are those who loved it most a week ago. There is no greater enemy to a game than a fanboi betrayed. I’ve gone from supporting this game with my heart and soul to wanting to see it burn miserably to the ground, and I’ll be neither quiet nor apologetic about it.

And with that attitude you are helping no one and only wallowing in a self destructive attitude that will lead you to not be happy. It’s not productive and it’s not very healthy to be completely honest.

Trust me, the best ascended items are ‘roughly’ about 40% better than regular exotics.

This pic is one of the lower quality rings, look at the difference in stats. There are ascended items that have been linked that have had vendor values of 6g

Exotic Berserker Ring total stats combined 155 +6% CTD
That low end Ascended RIng total stats combined 222 + 5% CTD + Agony Resis + MF

lol the new ring has 50% higher stats than does the exotic. wow. just wow. anyone else care to claim that the increases are “slight?”

You can’t just look at the difference between 1 ring and another, and judge based on that. For an accurate reading on the true stat increase, you must compare to the total stat pool awarded to your character, and base the increase on that number. It ends up being just under a 2% increase if using all 3 available slots.

My point stands. the new items have 50% higher stats than do exotics. case closed. Your argument is like saying that a 10% Return on INvestment can only be measured by how my wealth i have, independent of the investment. it’s illogical. the right way to compare this is item vs. item, not throwing in a bunch of base stats nonsense. my statement is factually correct.

No. They don’t. You’re comparing a Berserker’s stat set Ring to a Divinity stat set Ring.

I have three posts above all showing the comparison between two Berserker stat set rings.

If you’re not going to even look at the clear evidence and math posted, please stop quoting numbers that are, in fact, wrong.

If you compare an exotic three stat item to the Karka shell, you get the same 50% imbalance due to the fact that Divinity based stat set ups focus on having lower points put in a lot more places. You don’t get nearly as much focus but you get more points overall.

So what you’re doing is overinflating a difference that is to be expected. Of course a divinity based stat item is supposed to have a lot more points. It’s what the stat set does. That is not, however, a fair representation of all exotic vs ascended.

Except there is a difference between wanting to catch someone in a stumbling of phrase and wanting actual information. That’s not how you get information out of people, that’s how you entrap them.

I can assure you that if you rapid fire even the simplest of questions at a person who isn’t prepared, they will stumble. If they are prepared, they can at least go in with honest answers.

So far, people seem to think that Arenanet just wants to do this to pull the wool over our eyes and lie, use buzz words and in general not answer questions.

That has nothing to do with preparation. I’m sure that the interviewee is more than capable of doing that without knowing ahead of time the topics. You’re going to think that regardless if they’re prepared or not. If you don’t go in with an open mind, then there is no point to participating in this AMA.

Still not convincing. If the difference is slim to none, it is slim to none also in the fractals. Would have worked just as well with no stat advantage but only an agony mechanism. Or are you saying the slim and in now way beneficial advantage are somehow necessary for the fractals? No matter how you twist and turn the numbers, it all sounds like apologetics. If there is to be any good argument for introducing stat advantage, the advantage has to be noticeable. The other way around, well it doesn’t really honor the intelligence of the players if they happily chase air, does it?

I dunno. By your argument, Exotics are useless as well. They are a very unnoticably small difference between rares, which have only a small advantage over greens, which have a small advantage over blues, etc. I guess I’d rather have small increments personally than huge leaps like in other games where if you don’t have that tier, you’re just royally screwed stat wise.

But I gues we’ll have to agree to disagree on that part.

And no one said ascended gear was necessary for fractals. I run it in whites from time to time for shiggles. The only thing is the agony mechanic, and you can dodge agony inducers as well as running 10+ FoTM not exactly being super necessary for anything but getting ascended.

I can definitely agree: I don’t get the hype over Ascended armor. It’s something to do if you’re bored, something to aim for, but it’s not necessary except for optional content. But I can see why they put it in. It’s something to do.

Alright, I am confused:

So the only way Arenanet will be able to give you honest answers is if you ask them questions they are unprepared for and put them on the spot?

I thought the entire point of this was to get answers. If this improves the quality and the number of answers we can get? This sounds like a great idea.

Again, any professional person being interviewed usually will not agree to an interview without knowing the questions beforehand to prepare. The same happening for the Arenanet employee helps a lot in giving us as much information as possible instead of hearing “I don’t know that answer personally.”

Because the same difference can be seen between white and blue, blue and green, green and yellow, yellow and orange, and now orange and purple.

The differences between rares and exotics are about as low as exotics versus ascended. However, the more tiers you skip, the more pronounced the difference. Going from blues to oranges is a HUGE upgrade.

So it’s not a new phenomena. The point was to, as stated, to have a bridge in difficulty between exotics and legendaries as well as add in the agony resistance. They never said that improving stats was the huge focus. And it looks like it wasn’t.

And if people left because they felt that ascended gave people too much of an advantage stat wise, etc, then they didn’t spend the time to actually see what it was. Knee jerk I guess.

Fair. I think it will be a definite trade off between pure stats from Ascended and potential utility from exotic and runes/sigils.

But we don’t know and we probably won’t know for a while. Oh such is the torturous life of having to wait and see what happens.

Anywho, end point being, if stats are what you want to be after, Ascended give you a boost, but it’s not super significant and definitely not so much that you become uncompetitive by not being in it currently.

Main/Off Hand Sigils, do they stack?

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: EndlessDreamer.6780

EndlessDreamer.6780

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sigil

- Sigils that trigger on critical hits can trigger on any critical hits; the critical does not need to be scored with the associated weapon’s skills. For example, a character with an off hand weapon imbued with a Sigil of Rage can still gain quickness with a critical hit with their first three skills.
- Sigils that have a chance to trigger on critical hits stack their chance percentages multiplicatively, not additively. For example, two major Sigils of Fire, which each have a 20% chance to trigger on critical hit, will have a 36% chance to trigger, not 40%.

Hope this helps.

You’re comparing apples to oranges. You need to look at items with similar stat distributions. If I remember correctly in WoW each additional point toward a particular stat would have a higher cost against the total stat budget of the item. I’m not sure how the system works in GW2 but I imagine it’s roughly the same.

You imagined wrong. In GW2 all items with 3 stats have 1 Major stat and 2 Minor stats. The # example precision or power is always the same only the Major one has slightly more. For example an exotic chest has 101 Major stats 72 minor stats regardless of what stat it is (crit damage% and MF% are the only exceptions but they are roughly equally balanced point per point also to that formula.) Basically I wouldn’t be telling people they are comparing apples and oranges if I were you. And I think ascended are speculated at close to a 40% increase in stats (including armor as toughness also?) so this whole topic makes it seem like the OP needs to research more.

One of the achievements of GW2 is making the stats and their effects on your damage very transparent and not require intense math whatsoever to calculate benefits. A good portion of everything stat wise in the game can be calculated with simple formula.

Except items that do not only have three stats, such as the mystery ascended item above and the karka shell and other items like that do not follow the normal stat distribution at all for GW2. In fact they give quite a few more stat points than most other items, just not focused anywhere, so it’s more useful if you have a whole build of items that focus on that.

Anyway, math is there. Check with the wiki if you want, correct me if I’m wrong, but Ascended are 10-11% better stat wise as far as my basic addition and division skills tell me.

That’s easy enough actually.

If we’re not looking at the wonder item that is scaring the bejeezus out of everyone…

Ascended Back Items Provide (Not counting Crit damage or MF)
+56 Main Stat
+35 Secondary Stat
+35 Tertiary Stat

Ascended Rings Provide (Again, not counting crit damage or MF cause percentages can bite me)
+103 Main Stat
+68 Secondary Stat
+68 Tertiary Stat

So two rings and a back item can give you 604 Stat points. Which is impressive.
Exotics I am assuming are going to be using the highest given slot item that matches its main stat set like ascended do for simplicity’s sake.

Exotics back items provide (Going off of level 80 guild backpack, cause ghost eater’s hide has lower stats? I dunno. Easier to get backpacks anyway.)
+45 Main (20 + 25)
+29 Secondary (14 + 15)
+29 Tertiary (14 + 15)

Exotic Rings Provide
+92 Main (67 + 25)
+63 Secondary (48 + 15)
+63 Tertiary (48 + 15)

539 Stat points in total.

A total of, between 3 items, 65 points of stat difference.

There is an 10-11% difference between fully geared out Ascended and Exotics currently, with a margin of error depending on your back item because Arenanet is REALLY WEIRD WITH BACK ITEMS. What is up with Ghost eater’s hide? Unless they are more averaged…

Oh well.

10-11% total distribution difference in stat points. 65 points. 3% more critical, 65 more condition damage, 65 more power, etc, is what it would amount to if you put a single stat value to it.

And for the sake of squashing arguments:

Ancient Karka Shell (Exotic) (150 Base Stats total + 3% MF and Critical)
+25 Power
+25 Precision
+25 Toughness
+25 Vitality
+3% Critical Damage
+25 Healing Power
+25 Condition Damage
+3% Magic Find
Upgrade Slot Unused

Unnamed Mystery Ascended Item (186 Total “Base” stats + 4% Condition Damage)
+31 Power
+31 Precision
+31 Toughness
+31 Vitality
+4% Critical Damage
+31 Healing Power
+31 Condition Damage
“Upgrade Slot”

19-20% difference.

Now the problem with comparing these two is that, unfortunately, there is no “All stats small amount” upgrade component for Exotics yet, so thus I removed what would be equivalent of that from the Ascended item. Yes, that removes 48 stat points. But if it did exist, it would most likely add +6 to every stat like the other one, just a bit lower, thus giving the Exotic 36 more stat points (55 if you use an exotic level jewel).

Thus, the perceived gap between ascended and Exotic is actually much lower than people think.

Exotic Berserker’s Ring (Without Slot item)

+67 Power
+48 Precision
+3% Critcal Damage

Ascended Berserker’s Stat Ring (Without “Slot” item) (Crystalline Ring) (Keep in mind you can’t actually do this since their stats have their “Slot” item naturally inside of it when you get it, however they are split so you can compare them)

+71 Power
+50 Precision
+4% Critical Damage

Exotic Berserker’s Ring (With Exotic Ruby Slot item)

+92 Power
+63 Precision
+6% Critical Damage

Ascended Berserker’s Stat Ring (With “Slot” item) (Crystalline Band)

+103 Power
+68 Precision
+8% Critical Damage

So comparing the two:

+92 Power
+63 Precision
+6% Critical Damage

VS

+103 Power
+68 Precision
+8% Critical Damage

What people seem to not understand is that any divinity type item that gives bonuses to ALL stats will give more stat points by far than any other item. However they won’t give them highly to any specific stat point, thus getting lower specific returns. Thus apples to oranges.

As someone said before, same applies to the Karka Shell Exotic.

As you can see, Berserker’s Ring Exotic vs Crystalline Band Ascended are not hugely different. 10-11% difference overall.

The Worst thing that has happened to GW2

EndlessDreamer.6780

ArenaNet is being judged by the standards they built up for themselves.

You’re telling people to stop voicing reasonable concerns with a game that has blatantly gone against everything that was promised, a game that marketed itself on principles it has utterly disregarded.

Explain to me what good would it do for people to shut up and take it as if the problem had gone away? And how is any of that indicative of growing up?

I am thoroughly disgusted by this kind of attitude from consumers with far too much time and money on their hands not to care about the state of the industry. Problems need to be reported so that they may be fixed, and underhanded business tactics need to be exposed so that future gaming companies think twice before they screw over their playerbase.

Please read the actual thread please. A good half of the posts here show that most people understood the OP’s intent (even if it was rather off in it’s presentation and was pretty callous and rude). You are pretty much exactly highlighting the kind of behavior he, and so far a few other people, wants to see changed on the forums.

There was no great call to silence people. In fact, many people on his side have stated they want both sides of the extremist argument not silenced but rather directed. The “haters” and the “fanbois”, instead of fighting, work together to find a common ground. There was a call for constructive criticism and working together as a community instead of simple name calling and blaming.

What you did with your post is a brilliant example of a post that is fueled by anger, frustration, and is, unfortunately, not all that useful to anyone who reads it. If a dev were to read this they would find:

1) They set standards, which you have no clarified. They made promises that they broke, which you haven’t really explained.
2) That you’re angry about underhanded business tactics (which is in and of itself a very polarizing choice of words).
3) That you’re angry. Period.

These points are kind of useless in helping them develop content that will help you like the game better or fix problems that you have issues with. And unfortunately, a majority of the posts in these forums are like that. And they were even before Arenanet pulled it’s silence act (since I know a rebuttal about “We’ve said it already and they didn’t even listen” is soon to follow).

Ranting and raving has it’s place. Having the entire community devolve in to people who simply demand or reject change without trying compromise and making both baseless accusations and inflammatory comments in 90% of what is posted is counterproductive and not useful for the community or these forums.

That’s what this topic is about. And so far, it seems quite a few people agree.

So yeah, I appreciate what you’re trying to do with this thread, but honestly, the anger vented from everyone is completely justifiable, and it’s the only way for us to communicate our feelings with the developer.

Justifiable, yes. Productive, no.

Account closed due to charge back.

in Account & Technical Support

Posted by: EndlessDreamer.6780

EndlessDreamer.6780

Oof. It sounds like your credit card company is doing something wrong.

If they don’t approve a charge, the charge should never go through in the first place.

If they are freezing it, they should freeze it before it goes through, thus you don’t get your items and the company doesn’t get your money. This is easily enough rectified by allowing the charges. This will not get you banned. This happened to me a time or two and was simply finished by calling the company and saying “Hey, ya, that was me.”

However that is EXTREMELY different than a chargeback. A chargeback is you buy something, you get the goods and then you have your credit card company take back the money. This is pretty much as clean cut as credit card fraud happens and charge backs should only happen when warranted, such as you getting an empty box from someone and they not being willing to offer a refund. It’s used to counter fraud, but it’s still a very risky maneuver on the card company’s part. If your CC company is doing a chargeback simply over a questioned purchase that just hasn’t been approved, there is something VERY wrong going on here.

A chargeback will close your account most likely. It’s a pretty major issue and a liability if they have a customer who does it regularly.

What I suggest is calling your CC company and telling them you approve the charge for something and doing the purchase while on the phone with them. In most CC companies this will “OK” that company for your card from then on.

But honestly, your best bet is to talk with your CC company about this. If they did a charge back over a purchase that you just hadn’t approved yet, even if questionable, I’d be wary about continuing your business with them. Charge backs are extremely serious, and it’s unfortunate that accounts are closed because of this… but they’re normally always deliberate. I honestly am kind of shocked that they did a charge back without your approval.

I’m not sure that’s even legal to be completely honest, to do a chargeback without the customer’s consent.

Probably not. It’s simply market fluctuation. Due to the increased amount and decreased price, people bought up the dyes, even beyond the price where they used to be at. Now the market has stabilized there and will until people stop wanting to buy them at that price and people post them for lower.

It’s why even though the amount of rare skins from events is slowly decreasing you’re not seeing a massive boost. Because people post them up at prices and can’t change them without losing money, they are kind of set at what the price of the week was.

Exotic MF Gear a waste? What if?

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: EndlessDreamer.6780

EndlessDreamer.6780

Depends on how you want to play honestly. MF gear is good for just basic overworld stuff, but it’s a bit iffier on dungeons since it doesn’t affect chest drops. You lose out on a complete tertiary stat for it as well.

If you just want MF for doing overworld stuff, I’d suggest getting a cheap green set and running around in that and having a yellow or orange set of non-MF for stuff where it doesn’t matter so much (like boss battles, etc).

However, if you’re super keen on yellow or orange MF gear, I’ll tell you this: It is completely viable. My current character ran most of his existence on a MF set and I never underperformed compared to other group members.

So just depends on how you want to play. Keep in mind you might get some animosity from other players, but as long as you have thick enough skin to ignore them, I can honestly say you shouldn’t have a problem running around in MF gear, even in dungeons. Your builds are a bit more limited, but it’s doable. You just have to be a bit more cautious cause you’re a lot squishier.

What's best way to get T6 mats

in Players Helping Players

Posted by: EndlessDreamer.6780

EndlessDreamer.6780

I’d say do a bit of both.

What I suggest is not farming a specific material. That is where a lot of people run in to issues with DR is when they are gunning for ONE specific thing, thus they tunnel vision and it hurts them in the end. Go in to the tier 6 mat areas and keep moving around. Since you’re going for all of them, focus on enemies that drop them (Karkas for Powerful Blood, aquatic enemies for Armored Scales, etc), but don’t linger. Circuits are useful if you want to farm.

Doing this, you will also run in to random events, etc, and other things you can sell. So, you can use that money that is gathered to buy mats.

If you are going for a legendary, I’d ALSO suggest looking in to the lucky clover recipe. It grants you either a clover at a 1/3 chance OR a random tier 6 material (with more mats for the high volume recipe) which led me to getting around 50 armored scales. Since you need the clovers anyway, it’s a good way to supplement your supply of both the clovers and the mats.

Hope this helps!

Concerning Gear-checks/FotM: A rebuttal

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: EndlessDreamer.6780

EndlessDreamer.6780

Thank you. I appreciate the quote. It puts a lot of this in to perspective!

I do believe his main point was that if people are going to try and have a “Proof of ability to do X” they’re going to do it regardless of whether or not it’s supported. While ANet doesn’t actually support it, he’s saying that there is no way to stop it, which is true. That is why you see people requiring gear links even with the original dungeons, but thankfully rarely.

So, if I’m not mistaken, the point isn’t him advocating the behavior, but rather saying that no matter what they did it was going to happen because it happened in the past.

So, OP, could you clarify your point a little bit better please? You are technically agreeing with his point maybe? That people did these kinds of things beforehand? But that it didn’t make such a big deal because the ‘quality’ checks weren’t as tiered as FoTM? I’m sure your concern and response is valid, I just think you can elucidate it a bit better to actually bring what concerns you to the forefront instead of simply reacting to a developer’s post.

With all due respect, the response to this has been explosive, and although I have no doubt your input could have provided some value to discussions, I also doubt that it was noticed through the hundreds of posts repeating the same concerns. Repetition has resulted in the entire topic becoming white noise and while we may end up in a situation where ANet is able to salvage some of the player input and actually implement it, it’s still a difficult situation to navigate

I don’t think it is, while there has been a lot of whining and repetition the core themes of players concerns are coming through loud and clear.

That is very true. Repetition of player concerns is KEY for a company to understand what is wanted and what isn’t wanted.

However repetition of concerns is not enough. Just because they know people don’t like it doesn’t mean that they know how these people want it fixed. And when I say fix, I mean actually fix, not just outright remove like quite a few people are petitioning for. As a company they don’t want to take all those man hours and just destroy them without attempting to come to an agreeable compromise between as many parties as possible.

But they need to know what would be an acceptable compromise instead of just the fact that people don’t like something.

This isn’t really an account issue they can deal with on these forums. I’d suggest submitting a ticket and working with them from there. That or a bug report. Unfortunately there is little they can do here.

If you need help learning how to do either, feel free to ask.

Please provide evidence and links for any “He said this” or “She said that” claims. It helps support your claim and make your argument MUCH stronger if you actually have the quote made by the ANet employee.

Legendary and exotics weapons usefull ?!?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

EndlessDreamer.6780

At the moment:
– Legendary weapons have identical stats to exotics with the same stat combination. You’re meant to grab them for their appearance.
– Exotic weapons have the best stats for their slot, except rings and back pieces where Ascended has larger numbers.

As for how things will change, who knows. ANET promised no gear grind, then added Ascended gear. ANET promised more Ascended gear, but the major outcry might change their mind.

ANET have promised a higher level with the next expansion. Whenever that will be.

Please don’t misrepresent the company. They have in no way stated that there is going to be a level beyond Ascended. If they did, god almighty the forums would be absolutely up in arms even more than they already are. So if you want to make potentially inflammatory comments, please supply evidence towards them. Until then, please do not misinform new players.

Pretty much, you can run most, if not all, content in blues and greens. Rares make it easier, as do exotics. They allow you to do more damage and take more punishment, however dodging and positioning mechanics and knowing the fights are much more important.

So yes, they do give you an advantage, but it’s not one that you have to worry about getting as soon as humanly possible. It makes things easier, but it’s not as if without them that they are so hard that you can’t do it.

I agree with the OP. Not so much his tone, but his general idea.

Regardless of whether you like or dislike the game, approve or disapprove, sensationalist representation, hyperbole and other things like that do not actually help the game or the general attitude of the community.

I’m not saying that people who say this event sucks are wrong. I’m not saying that people who say this event was awesome are wrong. Welcome to the wonderful world of “People are allowed to have their own opinions”.

It’s when you get in to people saying:

Oh this is going to kill the game
People are leaving and it’s all your fault ANet
They don’t listen to us!
You ruined everything with your gear treadmill!

Or even on the opposite side

ANet hasn’t done anything wrong
Stop complaining and leave the game
People still play the game so shut up

That you have a break down in communication. Constructive criticism and constructive feedback are SO necessary to any game, but if you can’t constructively create this criticism and feedback, it WILL get ignored. It honestly should. Knowing people don’t like something isn’t really helpful. Knowing why and how they want it improved is.

“I dislike X, Y, and Z because of reasons 1, 2 and 3.”
“I disagree because I think 1, 2 and 3 aren’t that bad myself, though I can see how you would find it annoying.”
“Well maybe if 2 was changed a little bit, you could retain your enjoyment of it and I could find it more bearable given my circumstance.”
“That’s a good idea. What about doing A to 1 as well? Would that help?”

Doesn’t that seem a LOT less inflammatory, a lore more useful, and a LOT more like the developers are going to read it and take it seriously if both sides of the argument are working together to craft something that works for all parties involved?

So if you want something to improve, don’t slap someone in the face. Yes, you’re upset. But making the person on the other side of the screen upset just results in mutually negative feelings and a general bad attitude that gets people nowhere.

Put a little soul in to it!

“Hey, looking for a level 6 fractal group!”

“Anyone else want to run a level 6 fractal?”

Etc.

Definitely a pain that is worth it not to see gold sellers constantly.

That’s the thing. No one knows. It was common enough that a lot of people got them, but definitely not as high as 25% some people are quoting or even the 10% some people are quoting.

Also nice use of logic on the forge thing. Hadn’t thought of it that way.

How make golds on Cultural armor ?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: EndlessDreamer.6780

EndlessDreamer.6780

I did it by not farming. I play around in different areas, do dungeons runs, do fractal stuff, etc, and by not staying in one area and boring myself to death killing the same enemies over and over or doing the same quest chain over and over, I have made over 100 gold since I started.

Farming is the least effective way to get gold to be completely honest.

It saddeness me to write this, but inside two months you ve managed to kill the game for anyone that doesnt stick by it everyday for hours.

I ve dedicated quite a lot of time in august and september to the game, then played occasionally in october. I come back and start playing more in november, but there are barriers that are unpassable by me.

I cannot complete some dungeons – there is noone playing anything but fractals. By extension i cannot get any dungeon armor or weapons. Again by extension i cannot do monthly achievement. Which puts me at a disadvantage to a group that can making me even poorer by comparison.

I cannot participate in pvp – without tournament group all i can do is mindlessly grind glory. Which maybe i should do, because nobody will believe me that i reached rank 20+ solely through tournaments. PLaying tournies without a group is an excerise in futility. I d rather waste time watching paint dry then have 150+ points each game, only for the rest of my team to have 10,10,10 and 0. So by extension – no monthly pvp achievement.

I play a mesmer, which means i have zero or next to zero tagging capabilities – no dynamic or world events for me. At the same time, anyone being able to generate gold is getting ahead of me more and more – if not by directly generting gold, then by flipping.

So all in all, I cannot enjoy pve, cannot participate in pvp, and in general, im left out of everything. All because of silly design choices like: reward seperation between different dungeons in pve or no separation between premades and randoms in pvp.

Come to Isle of Janthir and join my guild and my small guild and I would gladly do dungeons with you!

:) See?

Did you kill the right creatures? I don’t think all corrupted enemies drop them. I know the collosuses do and the quaggan do, but not sure about the others. Also, honor of the waves tends to drop them if you want to try and do it there. Same with Jormag’s claw.

And ya, the drop rates are low, but it’s a rare skin. Lodestones in general are pretty rare. It’s not something new to this patch and it’s not something people haven’t expressed their concerns with before.

Actually, given that guilds and friends are give and take, I think you’re wrong. My current guild has run a ton of TA runs with me even though a lot of the people didn’t need the tokens. And I ran AC with them back so that they could get the tokens they needed. I mean, even if not guilds, friends should. If you have friends who are completely unwilling to do something you want to do unless they benefit from it themselves… Not really friends.

It’s all give and take. If you find a guild that just won’t run anything they don’t want to run, then it’s most likely not a good guild to be in for you.
