The funny thing about this is I’ve had instances where we have killed -every- boss we’ve come across without a single person dying. Downed, maybe, dying, no.

No healer was required. You just had to be light on your feet.

Other instances, we completely wipe.

But it’s definitely doable without a healer class. I enjoy it.

You can. If you play long enough you’ll eventually get a Legendary. It’s as simple as that.

Well you didn’t have to soulbind -that- item persay. I’m sure you were wearing armor and weapons that were above white, weren’t you? :P

Heritage armor no longer transmutes from what I can tell. You have to go to the HoM and just get another one and just apply it to the new armor.

There are actually places in Orr with 5 or 6 trees but monsters all around. So this has happened before, but they can’t do it on all of them due to the randomization of nodes. I like some of one and some of another to be honest.

The Soulbound would change your entire idea to a much more feasible one because it knocks out people getting the precursors for anything but their own use.

But unlikely. Still, I like the idea.

Fair. I mean, I agree totally that the economy and the crafting system are kind of… off, simply due to the fact that other than exotics, anything you craft can be found on the ground as easily if not easier. There is no real benefit to crafting currently except one or two. The weapons aren’t better, it’s not cheaper, etc.

But I mean, who can predict that with a game of over 100,000 players? Economies and how they’ll turn out are hard to tell.

I just think that waving the potentially most inflammatory item in front of people’s faces in order to fix this might just cause a bit of trouble is all.

Right now, the inflation is coming from people having an extremely high demand with an extremely low supply. Give it a few weeks and it should start heading downwards. The only issue would be if the cost of production was too high. If cost of production averaged at 300 gold, then ANet would probably need to step in.

Fair, but that scenario requires ANet to do something that will cause a veritable storm of complaints and whiners.

And honestly, if you want to stabilize the economy on mats, then dangling a precursor, one of the most sought out items right now, is not going to do anything but cause a riot.

Causing an artificially high demand doesn’t solve the long term problem. It just creates a bunch of POed customers.

I agree that this kind of event, such as the mystic chest, would be useful, it’s just the implementation might cause more grief than good for ANet.

Problem with this:

The rich get richer and the poor are screwed.

It’s the EXACT same problem people are complaining about now.

If this happened, rich people would literally, within moments, buy up every cheap tier 6 mat needed and just make bout 10 or 20 of the precursors. This drives up the tier 6 mat price so that no one who actually can’t get the precursor currently can afford it at all. Then once the event is over, they just sell and the prices don’t really go down at all. There are just 100 of them up for around 500 gold each instead of a handful.

Problem isn’t solved, just makes it worse.

You dropped 100 gold on something you weren’t sure you wanted to use? That baffles me.

Easy way to check. Go to the forge, open it up and see if the weapon goes in the forge. If it does, it should be usable.

All it got you was an answer. Go do what the nice person told you and then you can possibly get it resolved. Mewling about it in the forums will get you nowhere.

Different servers are just with different people. If you don’t have any friends you are playing with, just choose one. They are used for WvWvW, but they have stated a play with friends ability to be implemented later. And you can switch to servers, just not ones that are full.

I agree. Though anyone curious, next one is 10/21 or 10/22, can’t remember when.

If you put the word monthly in the search bar on the main forum page, you’ll easily find your answer.

It pretty much averages around 33s per 100 gems, so 300 gems per gold. It sometimes goes above or below those depending, but that’s the average I’ve noticed. If you really want to maximize, just wait until the price is a bit higher. It fluctuates.

What Kami posted is pretty much the jist of it as far as I can tell, thus it doesn’t bother me.

If you reduced it so that you only got 6 at the end of a run and things cost less, then they’d probably just make it so that you could only stack 25.

It’s a specific armor skin, like you assumed, that has the emblem on the skin. So it’s a specific armor.

Really? I don’t see any of your previous posts alluding to this. Sorry if I missed it though. Anyway, if you mean you reported in game, they don’t respond to those, they log the bug and then work to fix it. If you sent an email to support, it can take 3-4 days to get a response. If you post in the forums, there is no guarantee that they will respond.

Regardless, posting in the wrong forum isn’t probably helping that case. It’s probably something they’ll fix if you’ve properly brought it to their attention, they just need to be given some time to do so.

Also, devs have commented muliple times that dungeons are supposed to be hard. They’re supposed to be the things you do at the end of the game.

And no, downleveling down to 30 doesn’t screw up your gear. If you are in yellows at 80, you do outperform a person at 30 in yellows. It downscales, but you still do have a leg up because it doesn’t downscale perfectly.

…. Is this a joke? Please say this is a parody of all the people saying that the forge/crafting/gathering is broken because of a single occurence of bad luck, so -obviously- the devs stealth nerfed everything…

K, then it’s most likely just a bug with the particle effects and you should report it in game most likely or put it in the Game bug section.

Most likely once the entire Legendary rush (spawned by it happening last week) ends, the prices will go down. Right now there is a much larger demand than the supply, however that will change given a few weeks. This is primarily due to the fact that people have gotten legendaries, and now everyone wishes to make one.

What is the item’s name? It might be a particle effect changed by time. Did you also try rezoning? There seems to be a bug where particles don’t load correctly if you just put on the weapon. It might also take a few minutes. But ya, I’m 99% sure it’s a bug, but there are a few particle related bugs going around.

The faster changing out of combat most likely won’t happen due to people abusing a part of the system that allowed them to stack insane amounts of buffs on their pets that procced when switched. But the permanent naming of pets sounds cool.

This has been discussed elsewhere, it’s just you getting bad luck. The rate of ectos hasn’t dropped.

I craft with what I gather. Thus it is much cheaper for me to craft than to buy.

The real point of this topic: Don’t rely on TP for crafting, you’ll lose money.

Obviously you either used the email and password somewhere else or you have a virus on your computer. There is -no- other way for you to have been hacked, sorry to say.

Especially if your email and your GW2 password were different, there is no way other than a logger that this information could have been leaked.

I agree. If you don’t want to do the story, that’s your own prerogative, but if the story, the major component of this game, is part of an achievement, I don’t see why you should complain about it if you are just being lazy and don’t want to do it.

I’m glad that you didn’t do research at all on the mystic forge, tried only once for items that take people hundreds of tries, and now are quitting because of a single failure.

That shows some real smarts and strength of character there.

The Mystic Forge is a gambling tool. If you don’t like it, don’t use it, but don’t complain about putting 4 exotics in to it and only getting 1 exotic weapon out. That’s what the Forge DOES.

Yes. I’ve had multiple iterations of the same character until I figured out what race/profession I wanted him.

Wow. A set of nerfs to singular weapons and skills within certain classes and not having any for a single class and everyone is yelling as if the world has ended.

I play a ranger. I play a long bow ranger. I have won just as many as I have lost when it comes to PvP and WvW, so my weapon is perfectly viable. Has been since I started with it.

This happens if you are attacked while gathering in such a way that causes you to draw your main weapon, thus you will be mining with your ‘weapon’ and ruin anything you’re gathering.

Yes, but the naming policy is no religious figures. So Satan is out according to their own official policy.

Currently, if you transmute an item, it no longer counts as the original item. So if you need a specific item for a recipe, if it has been transmuted, it will not work.

Same goes for Twilight most likely, since it’s a problem with all legendary recipes.

It’s because, as people said above, they CAN be bought with karma, thus are all considered karma items and thus are bound.

Yes, people capped, and it takes 1,000,000+ karma at times to make legendaries.

So is it confirmed that 71 exotics will do the trick? Will 71 rares as well or do they need to be 75+?
