Like many of the others have said the easiest way to see something is amiss is to go kill some champs or vets. It won’t take much time, it’s easy to do, and it’ll show you w/o question that the 15th update is not working as intended. It really is that easy. Ya’ll don’t need screen shots from all the forum posters and such. It’ll only take maybe 30 mins. to get the proof yourselves.
With that out of the way…..open world drops aside from champs/vets are lil bit harder to prove. I don’t know how often things are supposed to drop, but in 1,303 hours of play I have had only 1 exotic drop in open world. That seems pretty off to me to have such low chance, not to mention it was lvl 78 medium shoulder for a lvl 80 heavy character. So in essence it was a yay moment that quickly turned into a ??? moment. I can’t really give any other data b/c like others have said it’s in the past and we didn’t know we would be asked for it.
TL;DR data that I do have
1,303 hours : 1 exotic drop
This is one of the times where I take offense from ppl jacking up prices on holiday items to gain profit. It’s a holiday and there is certainly no good will towards fellow man when it comes to this. =(
Would be nice if we could convert extra frames into cogs or something…seems like I have lots of extra account bond stuff with no uses for.
My guess would be that the 30 ppl were there farming the jp for badges and messing with the op was something to occupy time while waiting on those to re-roll and get through intro’s on new toons. Tbh gift of battle is broken imo since most obtain it via the jp’s and not actually competing in wvw.
New players and casuals are the ones that no longer have the option to buy gems with ig gold. They simply cannot afford it nor can they start saving for b/c the price will rise quicker then they can keep up with (given not lucky of tp player). To them it’s not fair. For all of us who have played from start or that play too much…yeah it’s probably fair. Tbh I’m not worried bout us…we have the luxury of choice…they however do not.
Essence Snow got mislead by Aura’s numbers, and made some bad arguments (not his fault).
source:
http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/38134 (snowflake)
http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/19721 (ecto)
http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/19700 (mithril)
I actually nvr paid any attention to his/her numbers/arguments. I was however noting that the “other” numbers provided by ppl were always the prices after the profit window closed, seemingly ignoring the window itself. I also noted that it was not like crafting rare armor b/c in that circumstance the main cost (the t5 mats) is a guaranteed lost upon salvage vs the snowflake/ecto was not (my apples and oranges idiom, which some ppl didn’t understand…lol) . Not to mention items being identified as masterwork when they should have be identified as rare, which adds to the red flag that something wasn’t right to begin with. Not sure which one of those are “bad arguments” seeing they r more or less objective observations.
All in all I see some ppl (not calling out anyone individually) arguing to try and justify their participation in the whole ordeal. I’m not sure why they would do so on the official forums as it would seem to have “the Streisand effect”. However in all honesty I highly doubt they have anything to worry about as the past has shown us that these sort of things get glossed over and swept under the rug (if ya will).
I have no idea why you keep using the end prices. If the snowflakes were that high when all this started it would’ve been much less of an issue, but they weren’t. Snowflakes were relatively cheap and the only reason they skyrocketed is b/c of of this whole deal. No one is saying that this would have lasted forever. We know better than that. It was a limited time deal based on what you stated….it reaching an equilibrium with itself. Problem though is that it was/isn’t limited to itself. Mithril and ectos play a role in a vast array of items, thus the snowflake “exploit” (if ya will) effected many things in the small amount of time it was available.
Profitable? No…not at all unless extremely lucky with rng.
I mean right now I can buy 15 potent bloods and make a 16.5 silver rare and salvage it. How on earth is this not an exploit if snowflakes are.
I feel like I just keep beating the same drum, but if people really feel like this is an exploit that had to be removed and are calling for player bans I have no idea how they don’t notice the same profit margins are still open on traditional crafts at this moment. Sure the players who bought the flakes for 2 silver made a fortune, but when the market balanced all the prices finally why was that the time to shut it all down?
Also this is going to make it extremely hard to ban anyone over this. I was playing what I thought was a new emerging fair market. Yes I made and salvaged over 200 earrings, I however made a pretty standard salvaging margin. There was not even a second where I considered this an exploit. I was maybe making 10-15% more than I normally do salvaging.
The costs of that armor is the t5 bloods(roughly 12s ish). When you salvage it…how many of those bloods do you get in return? The equivalent in the snowflake recipe was the snowflake which was returned the majority of the time. It would be like getting your 15 t5 bloods back on salvage. It’s apples and oranges.
I’m sorry, but black lion kits off of dailies? That’s a joke or I have the worst luck ever with black lion kits off of my dailys. Now I get repair canisters often enough, but not the kits, lord not the kits. But I will humor you.
Notice I also mention blc…black lion chests, which is where most come from if not bought directly. I probably should have put blc 1st in my working but oh well. I am rather confident that the folks using this also used lionguard lyns to make plenty of keys…thus giving them access to a decent amount of blsk…black lion salvage kits. Tbh that’s really here nor there considering using plain master kits worked out just fine.
I can make rare armor for 16.5 silver right now and salvage it for ectos worth 30 silver by using conventional T5 materials. If I am able to do that, how can you possibly say the return rate on snowflake jewelry is way to good when it’s the same?
The truth is nobody ‘missed out’ on free ectos, the T5 materials are not reflecting the ecto price market at all. So go make whatever rares you want right now and make a fortune salvaging ecto’s. I just find it silly that one way has to be removed because it’s to lucrative, while there are 9 other ways to get the exact same ‘exploit’ return.
The thing with this deal was that players had either 100% chance or an 80% chance to get the snowflake back. Salvaging rare crafted armors will not give the mats back to remake another in the same manner. So one could spread out the cost of the inputs of losses over a longer range. You know this and so does everyone else.
(edited by Essence Snow.3194)
The equation for those who are curious about the returns on investment.
Cost
Snowflake + Ecto = 50 Silver (80% Retention Rate) ~ 10 Silver loss
Mithril = 6.4 Silver16.4 Silver for a lv 75 Rare Ecto Drop Chance.
With T5 Mats trading at 80 copper right now
T5 = 12 Silver
Silk = .5 Silver
Silk Spools = 5 Silver17.5 Silver per Salvage
These are the rates the markets were at when they shut the loophole. Yes you could use a black lion kit for a 100% retention rate, but each salvage would cost you 25 silver if you bought the black lion kit making it all worthless. Hopefully some of you guys out there understand the math and realize this was not nearly as lucrative as people thought.
The people who made the big margins were those who knew how to get the flakes really cheap, being a smart trader is not an exploit. These were the market margins.
You are honestly calling for a ban on people for making rares one silver cheaper than you can make them at this second. I hope you take a second and realize how quickly you guys overreact.
I myself am really sad they shut the recipe down, mostly because it instantly destroyed any real wintersday trading. Wool is trading close to merchant levels, and presents have all become worthless. At the same time the community is cheering yea close the 1 silver cheaper salvage loophole!
You know better than to use the maximum prices in an example. Use the averages. Also to note that the ecto and snowflake have a chance of returning into the next item so their value decreases with every return, along with minimal mithril.
As for black lion salvage kits…I’m pretty sure ppl that did this did not go and convert gold into gems for the kits. Most likely scenario is that they had some saved from daylies and prior blc. TL;DR the estimation of the cost of making these you gave here is inflated
I find it rather amusing that you can easily pinpoint those posting here and in other threads that took advantage of this. If I were ya’ll I wouldn’t worry bout it. If they have shown us anything it is that ya’ll don’t have anything to worry about.
Chances are we are not talking about ppl making a few of said items. They made tons…knowing full well what they were doing. It was obviously not meant, much like the karma deal a while back. We saw the numbers on that and I can only imagine the numbers on this. I’m sure we are talking about 100s if not 1000s per person. We have been shown in the past that we should get while the getting is good b/c there are no lasting ramifications……that imo is wrong…..I fell that those who took advantage of this to extent should have some sort of actions taken against them…..mainly loss of what was created and maybe a temp ban. They knew this was not intended, it’s as simple as that.
1) pretty much agree
2) don’t agree……since they have the rng tied to rl cash expenditures..it’s just as bad as playing the lotto or at casino…it was once a signature of the game/series that it didn’t include these kinds of things
3) definitely don’t agree…the number one influence on prices is drop rate, which they control….players only settle on prices derived from said drop rate….much like the price of diamonds…. artificially high, not because the merchants make it so, but rather DeBeers etc…makes it so…which is why they aren’t allow on US soil
4) same deal as 3…..they are the ones with the most influence…..they create demand via additions…while I agree the players do play a role in it….it’s plainly obvious that the additions alter the demand
5) it’s pretty easy to see that casual/new players are being left on the side of the road in many aspects of the game…..from empty open worlds, no proper lfg tool (ig), inflation, etc all have effecst that only widen the gap between the haves and the have nots
6)I agree sorta……festival content should be accessible to everyone….specially when an achievement is tied to it….as I have noted b4 most players clamoring for harder content don’t actually want harder content alone…they only want it if tied to exclusive rewards…if harder content is available w/o exclusive rewards then by all means add tons of it, but I highly doubt that would please those that want it
7) the only reason this is a iffy topic is b/c ip laws are still in infancy…things will change with time to what consumers have rights to and what ip holders have rights to
8)just a personal note here…. I could care less bout the karka compensation…I’d much much rather have compensation for the lack of wvw bonuses for over 1k hours…it makes the karaka deal look like a joke in comparison
Was just wonder which minis count towards the title. I noticed that the mini toy soldier for example does not count. Do any of the Wintersday minis count?
Thx for your time
Funny how everything is a bug , nothing player fault.
Sometimes it is definitely a bug. This happens to one of the places where it could be for some players. When a group completes it and some of the group receive the achievement and other group members do not (barring none had it prior), then something is definitely bugged. Pretty much common sense. Now I agree if no one in the group gets it, then most likely scenario is that something was missed
Definitely bugged for some…Some in my party got it while others did not on the same instance…everyone’s 1st instance in the group. just out of coincidence the ppl that did not get it were also the ppl that had bugged wvw bonuses for a long time.
As we know Lionguard Lyns has been disabled for the time being. I couldn’t help but wonder why. Then I put on my tinfoil hat and started thinking.
Black Lion Keys!
With the update to the Black Lion chests demand for said keys has increased. Currently if one were to buy the 5/450 pack each key would run 90 gems, which currently costs 2g 10s worth of ig gold.
Now via Lionguard Lyns we were able to convert certain items to trade for keys at an exchange of 1 key per 62s. That’s over 3 times cheaper than currently available since she has been disabled.
It is of my tinfoil hat reasoning that the discrepancy here is the reason why she has been disabled. I mean who in their right mind would pay 3.3 times the amount of ig gold to obtain keys via buying gems?
In another thread which is now closed, the answer given to why she was disabled was the patch noted saying “Commendation vendor Lionguard Lyns is restocking her goods and is not accepting commendations at this time. She will begin accepting commendations again soon.”. Now don’t get me wrong here, I know in rl restocking is an issue, but it’s not valid here.
Again my tinfoil speculation is that key rates will be adjusted once she is enabled once again. I could be wrong….I hope I’m wrong. Maybe the initial surge of gem purchases will be enough to reason reinstating such a discrepancy.
Oh well…idk….What are ya’lls (I know it’s "y’all…dialect issue) thoughts on this? Am I crazy? Do I need to make a bigger hat?
Just a fyi about coriander…not all mature herbs have chance at them. They are region specific. So the mature herbs in Blazeridge (for example) will not have a chance at them, instead you’ll get mint. You will however be able to find them in areas like Bloodtide Coast.
I can take a guess that the majority of the population ISN’T waypointing to a far location to have the “experience” of running to the dungeon. Removing excess quantities of WP’s and still leaving 1-3 per zone and introducing mounts to the game would somewhat “force” people to experience the world, however, do it in a way that allows somewhat quick travel riding on a fun animal/machine of their choosing.
Forcing players to do things won’t turn out well. While you might enjoy the feel/experience of traveling others do not. you still have the option to walk/run to your destination, way points in no way hinder you from that. Everyone had/has to at least experience it once per character. There’s no need to burden those who enjoy way points b/c some feel everyone needs to experience the game in the same manner as them.
I’m guessing when you say, “everyone has/had to experience it once per character” you mean discovering a waypoint. So let me get this right, you’re against forcing people to do ANYTHING, however are totally OKAY with forcing people to run out of the way to discover meaningless hordes of waypoints multiple times across different characters. How futile. I’m not trying to burden people, I’m trying to shoot some ideas to improve the game and the feeling of traveling in the in-game world (it’s an RPG after all).
Not to mention, I have over 300 hours/full exotics/nearly full Arah EXP set on my Guardian and don’t even have HALF the waypoints. Not only have I not experienced it once per character, I am not missing out on anything but not having them explored. Have LA Wp’s and all Dungeon Wp’s? Check! Nowhere else worth traveling.
Repeatedly…yes…I am. Tbh I wouldn’t exactly use the same wording…I only used “force” b/c you did. Trust me I know all about alts (have 10 total, 8-80s) so I’ve done a lot 8 times over and it loses it’s fun with each repetition. Just thinking about having a fondness for, let’s say a certain dungeon, and having to walk/mount travel/run/etc every time I wanted to play it, gives me shivers. Imagine having to run to arah b4 all of the runs you did to get your set. Now add in the other player factor…..grouping becomes limited to the dungeon area b/c pug’s are not willing to wait on extensive varying travel times. Now the possible player pool to which one has access to group with shrinks. Local areas being server bound, no proper lfg tool, and less impulse influx all would hinder players from playing the content they want to play. The cons just out weigh the pros.

I have noticed an increase in the amount of Smooth and Armored Scales whilst doing the Dynamic Event near were Tequatl spawns. There’s a lab near there that gets attacked by Krait and I’ve been getting quite a few Armored and Smooth Scales from them.. Also in WvWvW you can fight Krait near were the Quaggan’s are, they have been dropping the Scales a lot more too.
The event by tequatl drops *large*scales and smooth scales….not armored ones…the krait there aren’t high enough lvl to drop t6
I am of the opinion<——key word there, that demand indirectly adds gold into the economy…….ex) demand for t6 mats causes players to farm t6 mats to sell to someone that uses gold to by them….thus gold is farmed via some means to get meet the demand. That said, traders do create demand (secondary demand mostly) and in doing so indirectly add gold into the economy, resulting in….wait for it….wait…….no peeking………inflation. Ofc this is much like saying something causes cancer when everything causes cancer.
In my view Legendaries should be account bound not sellable + SB

Tbh I don’t see the weaps as any kinda of “badge” of accomplishment or mastery. Let’s be real….they show that ppl have done world completion…so does that star, they show that one has grinded wvw jumping puzzles…gift of battle…more like gift of jumping puzzle, they show one or more of the following….luck, gold buying, tp mastery, exploiting, mindless grinding and/or generosity. But the thing that they lack and the thing that they should show is accomplishment. They have already been cheapened enough for me to pass on them and stockpile my resources on hopefully them adding something new that will actually be more relative to playing the game directly.
TYVM!!!!!!!!! after months of not being on par with others…finally fixed!
Took this from the PvP section:
I want to hop in and say that while this bug is proving near impossible to reproduce on our machines, we hope our fixes going out today will finally take care of it. If it does come back again, we’ve added extra information when using -log on your shortcut that will help further track it down.
Hopefully the wvw bonus fix should be put in with this. I have no idea why it wouldn’t be…ofc I’m sure we will not be told one way or the other.
1) while i don’t agree it needs to be decrease….maybe give the silver at end of the path and possibly add same dr as tokens
2) bugged loot drops is what needs to be fixed here….lots of threads no replies…champ vet increase loot…nope didn’t happen…what happened is everything else got bugged….fix the bug fix the problem
3)zaishen quests in gw1 were rather successful. i dont see any reason why they wouldn’t also be here
4)<—-adding…grinding the game dungeons, etc…. etc…. may seem like the fastest way to earn gold, but it’s not even close…TP hands down is the easiest/fastest way…the only difference is where the gold is coming from…ask many of the “wealthy” (1000+gold) players how they got it….i’d put my wager on the TP
I don’t mean to pry, but I’m kind of curious about this. 8 days ago you said you had identified and fixed this bug. I was under the assumption that you guys could roll out small builds for specific fixes, and you have done this for several bug fixes in the past. Why does this bug fix that affects so many people negatively get put on the waiting list to be bunched in with a larger patch, weeks after it has already been fixed? What are the advantages of having this bug fix be part of a larger patch (I’m assuming it will be the December 14th Wintersday patch) over rolling out a small build and have people see the positive effects of this bug fix right away?
^ This……since I’ve found about this bug I’ve been inquiring to other players in game about if they had it or not. There are a surprising number of players that have it….roughly about 1/8 of the ppl I asked. Thing is not one of them knew about it. So I know assuming makes an kitten out of u and me, but I’m gonna side with logic here and say that this bug effects a lot of ppl and is simply put on the back burner b/c many simply don’t know about it. Tbh it’s probably a good thing they don’t know about it….it’s rather upsetting to find out you’ve been playing since launch with less health, less defense, less crafting crit success chance, less healing, less endurance, less exp, less coin per kill, and less chance at additional gathering than the majority of players.
It really doesn’t make any sense seeing that the fix is ready, that it cannot be implemented., much less being secretive about it.
Thx to fractals there are lvl back items on the tp now. They drop constantly from chests there and as so are priced right above merch value for both masterwork and rares.
Point being the gold to gem ratio is constantly being influenced to rise. These factors insure that gold into gem prices will price out the majority of the player base, thus influencing the method of obtaining gems. Considering the only check in place to balance the trade ratio is gems into gold trading, and it is lopsidedly out weighed, there is no reason for prices to ever stabilize.
Can you prove this please or provide some reasoning to it?
How does this insure that gold into gem prices will price out the majority of the player base? I’m not quite following why you suggest this and would like to.
If you look at the graph, which illustrates gem price history, you can clearly see that spikes correlate with the gem shop additions. One can also see that on the verse side of these spikes prices never quite return to previous levels. This may be due to several factors from the 30% tax on reciprical conversion, inflation of gold as a whole, or speculation of further increases.
I am ofc assuming that the majority of players are at least semi casual and not tp experts, thus the rate that they are able to make gold < the rate at which gem prices increases considering the value that gem items hold.
If that doesn’t answer your question, I’m afraid I’ll need some clarification on what the question is exactly.
As most of us can see the prices of gems via gold is ever increasing. One factor of this is the increase of gold the player base has access to. Another factor that drastically influences the conversion rate is when a new or limited time item is added. We saw the increases from Halloween and from the Lost Shores addition. Now we are seeing it yet again from the addition of makeover kits and are sure to see it happen again come Wintersday.
If one looks at this graph http://www.gw2spidy.com/gem they can see the level of influence these additions have.
Is there anything that’s reasonable to curb pricing players out? Maybe something along the lines of price increases as account purchase amount increases? ex) 1st 100 gems=x% of current value, 200=x+5%, until 100%value is reached…idk
I know this is just a game but influencing the market in such ways that we prohibit in real life just seems off to me. I just feel that newer players have no reasonable choice now, and that doesn’t feel right.
So the holiday is done with and fix is ready. Could we get this patched in sometime soon please?
As an alt-o-holic myself…7 80s and 1 60 and can definitely say that it is getting harder and harder to find groups for fractals. My 1st 5 toons I took through paths 1+2 were pretty easy to find groups for, but I definitely noticed grouping getting more drawn out. Luckily I got my lvl 60 in there early as now pugs mostly will not accept you if not max or dern well close to it. Now with all 8 toons at various levels the difference in grouping is absolutely obvious. I fear by the time one gets an new started alt leveled it will be a real pain lfg for fractals……ofc I am all for some cross server lfg tool to alleviate the increasing time it takes to form pugs.
The dungeon has been done enough to where the skipping in pugs is pretty standardized. Skip the 1st mound…kill the spider…..see if troll spawns…if yes lure and kill both…if no skip…then skip all mobs that are not part of mini events. Most pugs now have it down now and don’t fail. They are only in it for the 3 paths once per day…so they r not worried about dr. They actually want the troll to spawn.
If pugging it now it’s expected to skip. Much like how in gw1 for fow or uw you were expected to sc in a pug. Trying to find a non-skipping group will take a horribly long time, which in itself is not worth it.
Tbh this kinda of fix should have it’s OWN patch and not have to wait for a planned patch to be implemented.
I just found out about this last night and thought…nah no way I played 989 hours w/o all this, maxed 15 crafting professions w/o all this, farmed relentlessly w/o all this, competed against players who had all this….w/o all this, but sure enough I had this issue. Gotta be honest here…this kinda pisses me off.
How many other people do not know they have been effected by this?
How many people have been effected by this?
Why hasn’t this thread been stickied?
This basically comes down to not skill, but rather knowledge and a little bit of luck. As an alt-o-holic I have repeated the lvl 1 and 2 fractals on 8 toons and pugged them all. Three of those 8 I have taken past lvl 10. Here’s what I have learned……Once you get to lvl 4-5+ the majority of players have already learned enough about said fractal for it to be completed easily. However, and this is a big however, the players on the lower end of fractal lvl most likely have not learned the ins and outs of the swamp. Therefor for them, it is by far the most frustrating. Ofc things become easier with repetition, but lets not forget about those who have not had the same amount of play as us.
On a related note fractals are becoming harder and harder to pug as the player base is separating due to lvls. Thus adding to the frustration of failed instances. Who enjoys lfg for extended periods of time much less getting inexperienced players where knowledge plays such a role.
Imo they should tone it down at the beginning lvls, then ramp it up via random trap location spawn and the like as the lvl progresses.
Was this:
The drop rarity of Rare and Exotic weapons from certain places in the world (champions, veterans, and players in WvW) has been increased. Rares and Exotics should be much more likely to drop and every champion should be guaranteed to drop loot. This was to ensure that world loot drops were not a significantly worse way of acquiring rare and exotic items than crafting and running dungeons.
implemented correctly?
Guild and I went champion/veteran hunting and while everyone got drops, every single one of them was blue. I also asked on local to others that helped and each instance was resounding “nothing good”. On the flip side we got numerous rares from regular “friendly” (moas, <lvl 5 creatures, deer, etc) kills.
Was thinking about a way to add value to the champions throughout the world, in zones that are currently becoming empty and thought about random number generators. I know we have the oh soo loved rng mystic forge precursor deal. I also know that if they simply added specific loot to champions certain ones would become the “farmed” ones. I’m not sure how hard it would be to implement a rng factor into the loot table for said bosses, but it might alleviate certain ones becoming the only ones visited.
1st time….Paid advantages…this was side-stepped by calling them “conveniences”. The level of advantage is/was irrelevant. It’s the fact that they said there wouldn’t be any, but in time they were added.
Convinience items != power.
Is there anything in the cash shop that would effect the result of a duel between 2 otherwise equally geared, specced & skilled level 80’s?
Armor booster, strength booster, rejuvenation booster, speed boosters, etc are all available via BLCs. They are minimal 5%, but that is besides the point as well as not being in pvp is besides the point. The point is they are there when we were told they wouldn’t.
Their lack of use in PvP situations, WvW, sPvP, Hot Join, is precisely the point. In PvE, it doesn’t matter that a random internet stranger is using their Regen, Armor, and Strength boosts. What advantage do they have over someone not using them? The might kill things faster but that doesn’t really impact anyone.
It’s besides the point b/c it’s a tangent of what they were quoting…and having you quote upon the tangent has taken it even further from the original point, thus making it beside beside the point

I don’t really give 2 hoots about what it may or may not be, I’m just aware of this is the second time they have gone back on their word on this game.

2nd time….This…again I could care less about how much of a difference there is/maybe…it’s all about them saying that there wouldn’t be this kind of thing and now it turns out there will be.
What will be the 3rd…4th….5th…etc things that they go back on? Voicing concerns about this kind of thing is good. Remaining silent is nothing more that giving license to continue more of the same pattern, which may lead to who knows where.
Secondarily, all can rest assured that Legendaries will remain legendary.
I hate to say this, but here goes…….
The weapons in question (pretty sure not all will agree) already have a negative stigma attached to them. The initial “legendary weapon” has become more of a “luck/exploit/donation/tp playing/credit card/grind weapon”. When seeing one with such a weapon initial reaction is not to think “wow that person did something to get that” it’s more of a “there’s another lucky player/exploiter/charity/tp player/credit card/grinder”.
If this is the “legendary” that will remain…I kindly say “no thank you”.
If the economy keeps inflating, and mystic salvage kits are tied down at both ends (by master salvage kit prices and forge stone prices), is there any reason to craft them? Tbh I don’t see 250 mystic vs 25 master enough to justify the cost differential specifically when the econ inflates further.
Remember you always have the option to make it more difficult yourselves. Limit your party to 2-4, don’t use your exotic gear, don’t skip, run all mesmers, thieves, etc…there are plenty of ways in which the players can bring difficulty into the game. In most cases they simply choose not to b/c in all actuality they don’t really want harder content…just new content with new rewards…..or else why would they try to make everything easier on themselves by using max gear, optimal stats, maximum party members…etc?
2 players.
Still not hard.EDIT: Btw, people don’t want dungeons to be harder because it’s more “fun”. They want them to be harder so that the gear will be more exclusive to people who can actually play.
…but ya used all the tricks/skipping to make it as easy as possible……sigh…..
btw path 3 is easily duo-able as well…path 2 I haven’t quite figured out how to duo the graveling traps but….in due time
I definitely agree however about ppl really just wanting exclusive gear….that’s what internet ego(won’t let me use the word) is all about

Server: Fort Aspenwood
Dungeon: really all of them..its random
Issue: Randomly not able to have whole group enter together. Randomly have party kicked from dungeon when one player exits the dungeon. Randomly have added players not able to join groups already in instance. The two joining issues are almost always coupled with not having the “pop up window” to join group.
Yeah this one gave me mix bag of emotions. 1st I was stoked..“Sweet bag of gold!”…then “What the fudge?”……then “lol …I fell for it…that was a pretty good one”
Lackluster PVE content devoid of any sort of challenge or skill requirement- FIX PLS

While I sorta agree with some of the points presented, they were done so in such a manner that I was derailed.
Would harder content be nice…..ofc, but that’s not exactly what most clamoring for it want. Most want harder content only if coupled with rewards exclusive to said content. Remove the exclusive rewards from that “harder content” and then it becomes not about the challenge itself, but not being rewarded for the challenge.
There is and always has been the ability for the players themselves to make the content harder. They just choose not to. Why? Because of the lack of incentive. Ah we come round circle to incentive. The challenge alone is not enough or else players wanting it would self impose it. How would one self impose challenge? Running with less than max gear, less than optimal skills/traits, less than max amount of players, etc etc. But, ofc most players will not do this.
It’s ironic how most players that want harder content always…(myself incuded)…strive to make said content as easy as possible to reap the rewards.
But, I digress…..main point here was that the OP could have made (a) valid point/s, but chose to bury them insulting the mass of the player base instead.

I know already that I will be blasted for speaking my mind about this, but oh well here goes.
So the event finally happens 12pm pdt……right smack in the middle of Sunday football. In turn I will be missing it. Some ppl go to church…I watch football. This conflict albeit minor to most comes on the heels of a long history of gw events taking place during football games……even during the superbowl, which is (reguardless of what some ppl might argue) an American holiday…..numbers don’t lie.
In finishing up I humbly ask Anet to kindly look into what sorta conflicts might arise with planned events b4 setting the dates in stone. I don’t really care so much bout this one event , but plz plz plz no conflicts with the Superbowl this time round.
Note* I will most likely not be replying to anything
