No
Already done 725 levels across 10 characters to get them where I want them. That’s too much as is.
Arah
Explorable: Fixed issues that may have prevented events from starting or ending properly across all paths in the dungeon when an NPC was potentially dying, reviving, or being interacted with.
Explorable—Seer Path: In the Dwayna fight, the sparks will now target players primarily, and their attacks have been adjusted in a way that should make them chase the player as initially intended.I just did it with warrior, guardian, thief, necro and necro (blue/green gear).
No worries, nothing really changed. If you sucked with it badly pre-patch you will still suck at it.
Granted you are one of the better players out there so not exactly any indicator of avg players.
The optional content you are looking for has been there all along. You have the option to make encounters harder/more difficult. Run dungeons solo, use less than optimal gear, use less than optimal stats, do higher level fractals w/less AR, don’t take advantage of exploits/skipping…the options go on and on.
Are you serious ? So, if I love boxing, and if I love a good challenge, I should fight my 6y old little brother with only one finger ? Where is the fun in that ? Where do I have to learn something ? Where do I have to become better than the opponent/machine ? Where is the progression ?
Isn’t that rhetorical? The fun is in beating him with 1 finger vs unbound w/ 2 fists. Overcoming a “handicap” (imposed challenge) is something embraced in most every sport.
His charge skill (sometimes) breaks his aggro lease thus resulting in full reset. This intended?
So I HAVE to use weaker items if I want a challenge, that’s not really fair.
You don’t have to…but it’s your option. There are a multitude of ways of self imposing challenge…..seems pretty fair that if you want added challenge you have the option.
On the flip side the only option for making things easier is exploiting which carries the threat of bans.
Which one seems more fair?

do someone knows if these new infusions stacks?
That’s what I’d like to know…….6*20% increased gold looted from monsters +40% from bars…Kloher and Troll would net 52s?
What’s a hard potion?
You had/have the option to make the game harder all along. You choose/have chosen not to…..solo content like wethsul (not sure of spelling) see how easy that is. My guess is you take advantage of every shortcut, every glitch, everything to make the content easier, yet clamor for harder content. What r ya really after? Exclusive reward maybe?
The small amount of running around I’ve done so far does not bode well for vets/champs/world boss drops. Apparently they continue to drop nothing. I’ve killed three which had 0 loot entirely.
Yep definitely still messed up.
Well here’s a problem. the guild karma buff only works on dynamic events
It works on vials, drops, tastes, jugs, etc.
Anyone wanna make a bet on this thread becoming mysteriously ignored like the “perceived loot drop rate issues” thread?
Yikes ..yeah didn’t really think about it either…..have nine 80s myself, which including monthlies will take longer than getting a legendary.
Agreed got stuck b4 reset……………..
What the WP change accomplishes
1) Less friendly PuGs and/or less pugs in general (why all the hate towards pugs?)
2) Groups finishing boss encounters while dead player remains dead being denied boss loot
3) Players less likely to help less experienced players in dungeons
4) Player mandated gear checking/title checking/ etc…
What good does this change accomplish?
1)Players with superiority complexes can feel better about themselves
2)I can’t really think of anything else…I simply don’t see the good in this
All in all this doesn’t really change things for groups that already had no issues with the dungeons. It doesn’t make it anymore challenging for them. What it does do is raises the barriers to entry for those who are new/less experienced/ and, or just well not as capable. How is that a good thing?
Play the game, stop being selfish and leave MF alone, it is in the game, people can use whatever they want.
Pot meet kettle.
@Xavori…idk why you are comparing yourself to other players dicussing MF….you should only be comparing yourself w/ mf to yourself w/o mf. It’s pretty obivous that you are giving up some stat for the gain in mf….so you are not playing at 100% potential.
Regardless of your individual skill…there is always a useful stat that mf replaces. If you are an expert at staying alive…then you are giving up increased crit dmg. If you aren’t then you’re giving up survivability. Do you (yourself..no one else) play worse (less skilled) when not using mf? I should hope not.
If what you say is correct then you have no problems staying alive answer me this please:
Would increased crit dmg change your dmg output over not having increased crit dmg?
Then consider what the goal is at it’s core level…killing things right? Does increased dmg help you achieve that goal? Ofc it does…does increased mf and decreased dmg help you achieve that goal? No, ofc not. It only applies to the loot after the goal has be completed.
I was wondering if it would be possible to use a transmutated skin in the recipe for a corrupted weapon?
For example: I take a lvl 78 Shaman’s Etched Bulwark of whatever…..put on a sigil of rage…then transmutate it using a fine stone to lvl 80 to make a lvl 80 Shaman’s Etched Bulwark of Rage
Would the resulting shield work in the recipe?
enemy attacks – (if)dodge – player(survive)
enemy attacks – (if)no dodge – player(death)enemy dies – (if)wearing magic find- player(gets higher chanced loot)
enemy dies – (if)not wearing magic find – player(moans histerically that the loot in the game is crap and Anet needs to fix their loot tables and ban MF users because they suck, leech and hack)Maybe I’m misquoting, but the above formula seems to coincide with the game. Notice how wearing MF gear is not related with being able to dodge?
no ok wait, No one is hacking, they are selfish ok, but they are using a mechaninc introduced by devs, and well known.
Please dont defend our point by adding HACK as counterpart, because using MF is not hack at all.Face-palm
Nobody is selfish, the point I am making is that those few people who are against other people using MF gear always come out with absurd responses. I was not, under any circumstances, defending your moot point.
Selfish:
1
: concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one’s own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others
2
: arising from concern with one’s own welfare or advantage in disregard of others <a selfish act>
MF by mechanic is selfish
@Essence Snow:
The difference between me running my MF warrior in AC using MF gear and zerker is maybe 2-3 minutes off the run time. Average players are already overkill for AC’s difficulty and you don’t get linear returns as you push farther and farther into that overkill zone. If it was graphed stats versus run time, the graph would definitely start to flatten out long before we get to explorer’s/knight’s gear, let alone zerker.
One bad spawn of extra graveling scavengers costs more than 5 minutes.
Deltha bugging and needing to be lured to her death can cost an entire dungeon run up to that point if she doesn’t unbug.
A graveling scavenger deciding to nom on Hodgkins rather than the player guarding him can force a reset that costs 5 or more minutes.
Kholer being spawned with a pair of elementalists versus a pair of warriors can double the time it takes to kill him because he’s really good at tanking for them, and they hit hard and have AoE’s.
One or two sub 80 teammates costs more than 5 minutes.
One guy needing to go afk because his dog is about to piddle on the carpet is 2-3 minutes.
One gal needing to go afk because she’s about to piddle on the carpet is 5 or so minutes.
So many things cost more time than I could possibly make up by switching to zerker gear, and many of them are completely beyond the control of the players.
Every one of those are external factors that have nothing to with stats. The whole deal with MF is stats. If you’d put into a simulator 2 runs with everything identical except MF, will there be a difference? Yes, there would be…that’s it…..there’s the debate…no if, ands, or buts about it. It’s yes/no, black/white, 0/1, heaven/hell…etc etc. Trying to throw in all shades of grey will not change that at it’s core it’s a yes/no issue.
Does it make a difference? Yes…no matter the amount of difference , it does make a difference. The issue revolves around not how much of a difference it makes, but that it does.

Isn’t this whole thing just common sense? I have my doubts about the people not understanding the nature of this, rather I see attempts at justifying being selfish where being a part of a team matters. People don’t like being called selfikittenhey get very defensive about it and it’s funny seeing the same ill reasoning come up over and over again. It’s an obvious duck.
Nope, we get it perfectly. Here’s the part that you seem to be failing to understand:
So that whole argument about not contributing as much to the party…ya…completely hollow. It’s a weak attempt to try to rationalize what is truly an emotional, not rational, response.
But while there are some who have that reaction, most just don’t care. Every single one of these threads has just a few people who go ballistic about MF gear. The vast majority of forum participants, who make up a tiny subset of the GW2 population anyway, just don’t care. Most people aren’t going to obsess about shaving 30 seconds off a Howling King fight, especially since that amount of time doesn’t even exceed the variation caused by the random number generator’s contribution to fights. They’re not going to stress that another player is trying to maximize his loot in order to pay for his altaholic problem.
Suggesting that MF users are selfish without at least acknowledging that, when you get down to it, your opinion is based on feelings that are at least equally selfish is completely hypocritical.
Sometimes I wear MF in a party. Occasionally, I’m not playing at my regular level and end up downed more often than usual (which is usually zero), so I flip out gear myself. So far after months and months of pugs, no one in-game has so much as mentioned MF as a problem to me in groups though… Fortunately, the in-game community is not nearly as… toxic… as the forums.
The "as much* has nothing to do with the rest of the party…it only deals with the individual…they are not contributing “as much” as they could be…potential.. (compared to themselves) giving all this equal except mf. It is not an opinion that 1 is greater than 0 and that stats are contributing factors. These are not feelings…its simply math, which game mechanics are largely based on.
example taken out of context:
1)20+20+0=40…….20+20+20=60
2)20+0+30=50…….20+20+30=70
3)0+40+20=60…….20+40+20=80
In all three examples the latter is greater than the former…..why? Math! There is no possibility of the latter being lesser or equal to the prior given all other things equal. The only way to achieve that would be to enter a variable that effects the outcome. In our case here that would be individual effort. If a player chooses to play worse with better stats…then yes it’s possible, but that’s solely dependent on that factor not potential.
I’m not arguing whether I care about a party member has it in my group or not. I am arguing the fact that there is a difference that some ppl choose not, (I hope it’s choose and not fail) to see.

If you want it make sure you buy it sooner rather than later. At some point I can definitely see them changing it as when more and more come around it will become confusing and defeat the purpose of said icon. Not to mention cluttering event maps, towns, etc etc.

I was just talking with some guildies and the issue about not being able to link things in chat came up. It was a very nice ability to have in GW1, to be able to link a site in the build window. GW2 is lacking in this regard.
Also the ability to edit w/o erasing the guild message was very nice as well. At the least the ability to copy/paste chat/message would be nice.
But what fractals has shown is that people are willing to try harder events for greater reward.. why not spice up the dungeons as well for those who wish it
They did it there too though. Glitching through the walls in the dredge fractal, glitching through the rock slide in the asura fractal, standing on the rock on the colosus fractal, aoe the final seal, using terrain exploits to bypass the ascalonian barricades, the list goes on and on. While the devs have fixed many of these…there are still many left that most upper level groups use to bypass the challenge and reap the rewards.
I’m going to go against the grain here and say “no thank you” to harder dungeons with greater rewards.
The thing is, most players clamoring for harder content don’t actually want the harder challenge. All they really want are exclusive rewards. If presented with more challenging content they will take every step possible to make the content as easy as possible to obtain said rewards. Thus in essence they nullify the added challenge that they originally piped for.
Now, I am all for harder content, don’t get me wrong. I am simply for it w/o the increased reward. I am in for the challenge as a reward in itself.
People who have legendaries at this point in the game usually powerfarm the trading post.
Fixed it for ya
I’d be willing to make a wager on that. I farmed/farm matures for coriander specifically to make unidentified (rare) grey dyes. There are plenty of mature herbs just east of the Shatterer……….harvest them…let me know when you obtain a corriander.~or~let me know when you get a chili pepper from bloodtide/sparkfly.<—point being regional
Look around the iron marches and blazeridge area.
Coriander is regional and does not come from all mature herbs. The ones in Iron Marches and Blazeridge Steppes will not produce coriander.
Bloodtide Coast is probably the easiest place to get them as there is commonly 1-3 right outside of LA.
Average FPS On Max Settings @ 1920x1080?

The 7000 series from AMD has some serious design issues. I have a 7870 and get similar performance to the OP.
What is your cpu?
I play on 7750 (900) w/i5-3570k, 7770 w/ quad core 2 8200 and 6870 w/ i5-2500k all play very well and rarely ever dip lower than 35fps anywhere.
I’m not saying that it’s not worth something. What I am saying is that 15g is way too much to be asking those paying to do anything. In gw1 I ran dungeons a lot. I put out massive guides on how to run them and speed clear them. I would run them free or drastically reduced prices compared to other runners b/c I felt their prices were more or less preying on ppl. If the runner does everything…then they have justification on charging a premium. If they need the ppl paying to do something to finish the run…well then there needs to be compensation for that considered into the price.
Offering a fair price is one thing but preying on ppl is something else all together. Karma…….it’ll bite ya in the kitten some day!
My guild does it this way: 5 guildies go in, before endboss 4 leave and we sell the spots for 15g each. Endboss get killed and the 4x 15g get split equally to all 5 people from guild. So no kicking innocent people involved.
So the one guy solo’s the end boss? or The 4 paying help kill the end boss? If it’s the latter……lol
Because the end boss of all the Arah paths are sooooooo hard, right?
Based on a matter of principle…..If I were to pay 15g for 1 path….on principle I’m not helping to do kitten…that’s what the 15g is for….15g worth of help.
Not going to read through all the replies, but feel that they should definitely be tied to achievements.
The current ones lack (or have lost) ALL prestige as far as I am concern. I’d much rather have them solely obtainable from playing the content then being bought via rl cash/tp profits/donations.
Tbh that’s the main thing holding me from getting one myself. I have just about everything needed and or have the funds to buy the rest, but what’s the point? To become another player that has a stigma attached to them b/c of the current system? No thank you….I’ll keep all my items till the make the new ones that hopefully will have that aspect removed.

sadly, yes, this is true. but i have no idea of how to fix current situation on legendarys other than remove them from the tp, and make precurser have a increased chanse of drop and make then acc bound… but that would prob kitten me off even further.
I think they should take legendaries out of the trading post…
Legendaries should be a reward for playing the game and not for making money.
The recipe should be more about stuff like the badges of honor, karma, the dungeon gift, the gift of mastery, the icy runestones etc…
And I dont understand why they didnt put any item in the recipe that requires Glory.I concur with this opinion;
- There are many items which can’t be traded, why not legendaries?
- Legendaries should be changed from being market-oriented in their requirements to being task-oriented so that people can have fun instead of just being expert traders, third-party gold-buyers or gem purchasers – as it stands, legendaries are tarnished with a bad reputation.
- There are plenty of jumping puzzles and other achievements which could be made into a requirement instead of the tier 6 materials and ridiculously rare lodestones.
The legendaries are supposed to (sic) “show off your accomplishments and symbolise all of the things that you’ve been doing” (Lead Designer Isiah Cartwright – in this video) and “show everyone that you are a true master of Guild Wars 2” quoted from here. I think I speak for the entire community when I say that Legendaries fail to do both of these things and perhaps even suggest that their visual effects be changed to reflect the influence that the market has had in the acquisition of the legendaries, for example a trail of dollar bills or money that flutters out of the weapon on hit.
Here is a video which discusses the problem of legendaries being available on the trading post
You just said everything I wanted to.
Fully agree.
Agree as well. Wonder why (haven’t searched) there isn’t a thread asking when legendaries that will actually “show off your accomplishments and symbolize all of the things that you’ve been doing” besides playing the tp will be added to the game?
I think I’d rather have 120% return than a 20% return even with collateral.
Oh really…cool ty…I looked on the wiki…no info…and I asked ig and was told it was account bound…eg wouldn’t work like that. Nice to find out thx again.
Why are fractal dailies account bound when the instance itself is character bound? Seems odd/counter intuitive to have it this way.
Just run 2 sets of armor. One (mf) for solo and one for grouping. If you see someone in group run mf either kick them or 1 up them go max mf and let them help carry you. Spite…completely under-rated.
Haaa didn’t know this thread existed…..pretty amusing response was 3 months ago and nothing has come to light since. Anywho….they sometimes drop unbound if that adds anything to the discussion, but they are still vendor quality as they sell for vendor prices on the tp.
Its not from fratcals… This weapon was in the game (Well… Lootables) before fractals came out. People were searching for it before the update
I can confirm it is in fact from Fractals. I had found mine in the reward chest for completing the Urban Battlegrounds Fractals. There’s absolutely no reason Anet would make this one particular exotic mind numbingly hard to get.
You know the drill…screen it…or there is no confirmation.
Question:
Does the QA team play/test on live servers using regular accounts or do they do QA on dev servers using dev accounts?
It would stand to reason if they are using dev accounts/servers then there would most likely be the the reason they are not “perceiving” the same drop rates as the players.
I’m inclined to agree that this will definitely impact pugs in a bad way. It’s another reason to have groups 80s only in full exo’s.
Tbh it would be more efficient for teams to kick defeated players and invite new players than to try and rez defeated players during combat or going a “man down” in certain areas. I don’t like the sound of that at all.
Seems like this is mainly to combat the kiting in CoF path 2 “defend magg”. Where else is this really an issue?
Why were the ?s in part 2 basically the same stuff that was said in part 1? Rather redundant no?
OP is saying he is going after second second legendary witch means he ahs already done map completion and probably 4-5-6 of the crafts to lvl 400. So those options are out fo the question. What OP needs is the Bloodstone Shard = 200 Skill points. Getting 200 skill points on an alt just to get the bloodstone is a long process, expecially considering OP probably has 50-100 Skill points on his main already. As i am in the same position here is what i found is most useful in this situation.
- AC or CoF farming once a day
- Fractals farm once a day for several dailies(lets say lvl 2 and lvl 10, 20 )
- WvWvW – fast leveling depending on what server you playing on.They’re suggesting that he create a fresh alt, level it through crafting, and complete skill challenges on that character. Bloodstone Shards are Account Bound so you don’t need to craft them on your main.
Actually the shard is soul bound on acquire. The Gift of Mastery you can make with it is account bound or the Anomoly which is soul bound on use.
Do TA onyx runs…..it’s return on onyx is exceedingly better than trying to farm elementals. Even though you get mostly cores you can take the cash gained (which is plenty) to covert the cores to stones via the forge. It’s better than farming pent/shelter and buying as well if you don’t mind the skill points used to convert. Plus stone do drop from time to time in there as well.
PS did I mention the karma and blossoms?
One thing that is kinda nice about having mulitple lvl 80s is that you can have them spread out across the world and avoid waypoint costs. I have one at each dragon, one at cof, one at ac, one at ta, one at southsun ori, and one in Orr. Currently working on 9th 80…second thief lvl 41 atm who mainly resides in la, but mapping is cheap on her still.
I was wondering if in group content is kicking a player for using mf gear is bannable? That is…if I see a player running sigil of luck, may I kick that player from the party on the basis of lack of contribution potential? Having done that and that player reports me….is that report warranted and serve the possibility of me getting temp banned?
Note* I’m not saying I do this and/or have done this or have had this done to me…this is merely hypothetical.
depends on what you want from them as different areas host mature herbs that have different possible harvests
