While some people might say Vitality and Toughness is completely useless because Berserker is everything that matters, it is not true.
People who say Berserker is all that matters think they are god mode players but in reality they are those who lies downed on the ground most of the time.
Vitality and Toughness are really good stats, and the best way is to balance it all out with the kind of strength you need, either it be power, condition damage or precision.
so it’s fair that elementalists won’t be able to use their movement abilities to move around pve environment anymore?
It’s fair that engineers are getting nerfed again?
it’s fair that mesmers get dropped down from dealing the same damage as a warrior if they have time to do a careful set up and now only of the only viable builds for them are straight dps?
It’s fair that warriors, the highest class on damage are getting a buff again, making sure that guardians can’t compete with them anymore?
It’s fair that thieves are now almost impossible to counter?
Yes, I think it’s very fair for Elementalists to get nerfed with their movement. Thief was always the class to have the most mobility, and tricks around combat. Too many Elementalists complain because they can’t fly freakin’ all over the place anymore to do everything.
I think the Warrior buff is very fair since they have been down in the mud for far too long.
I play a Guardian, my profession is left untouched, there were only some changes with retaliation, and domes not blocking treb shots anymore.
I am perfectly fine with Warriors having a chance against Bunker Guardians, they will finally have a role to fill.
I think Guardian’s the most balanced class because they are viable everywhere, with almost everything, having Warriors to counter us in our Bunker build is perfectly fine.
Elementalist nerf was fair. Even after this nerf they will still be the top dog. Elementalist players just seem sad because they can’t fly all over the place with Ride the Lightning anymore, as much as they used to.
He-Man: Heeeyyeayyeayeayea
Fair nerf to Elementalists.
Fair buff to Warriors.
Fair fixes to other Professions.
Cool new items in Black Lion Trading Company.
Custom Arenas and Spectator Mode.
New Dungeon (built by a new, different team) to try out.
All is well for me.
Alriiight…
I recently got into WvWvW and never knew there was such drama around our servers o.0
What’s going on?
HOLY FREAKING SKRITT!
ANET JUST LEAKED THE SANDWHICHMANCER! The NEW class in the expansion! I can’t wait!!!
Colin omg, I want minstrel ;(
I like temporary content to some degree. Like the Karka event (while lagging like hell) it’s something I can look back at and say “I was there, this happend, and this happend, we got pancaked by the Karkas” and tell it to new friends you will meet in the future (wether you like it or not, Guild Wars 2 will gain new players.)
Temporary content feels unique.
Divine-itys Reach.
Reminds me of the Monk guy back in original Guild Wars who hid his skillbar when soloing Underworld, frapsing it, and people were speculating of what he used, what skills and everything.
He tried to sell his build for cash, but one guy found out the build, and it was the 55Monk build!
I’m pretty sure I heard the patch was today O.o
It’s the 30th.

State of the Game stream has started with JSharp and Karl, talking about SPvP.
Wait, what if you have two monitors?
No clue, try it out?
My guess is that it would become bigger, so even if you move your cursor over to the other screen, it would follow.
But I don’t know.
So that big black circle is for all the times you clicked your gold medal in events?
Nope, the black circles are when your cursor is not moving, when it’s completely still, that was when I had to take a walk with the dogs. The longer the cursor is not moving, the bigger the circles get.
The lines and black circles are following my cursor, so try to imagine the Guild Wars UI on there, it’s not even close to the gold medal events :P
Stolen from Reddit
So there is this program called IOGraph which tracks your cursor movements and when your cursor stands still.
Try it out, if you want to, to see how it ends up.
So this is my graph for 1 hour of playing Guild Wars 2 (this includes minimizing Guild Wars 2 and check other stuff as well, but you got Guild Wars 2 in the background.)
Mine also includes ‘’Taking a walk with the dogs’’ which is the biggest circle.
I got to disagree.
The problem is not the lack of trinity or the downed mechanic, the problem is that the dungeons where too much ‘World of Warcraft’ like.
Now you might wondering what I mean with that, well, the dungeons are too much ‘’tank and spank’’ there’s trash mobs everywhere that you just need to AoE down, and the bosses don’t do much either.
However, this is not always the case, some bosses have interesting mechanics and fun battles.
However, I think ArenaNet might have found their ways with dungeons, and that is the use of more puzzles.
Check Steve Hughes, he’s an awesome comedian.
He talks, and jokes about being offended is purely subjective, and now people are trying to make laws out of it. what offends you might not offend me, and vice versa.
Should I be able to report someone, and “hopefully” get him banned because he said the word orange? Because one time in the past I got attacked with an orange?
I love the texts written in New Krytan, I LOVE translating them. Like at some Inns you can see the text (can’t remember it correctly) “Don’t drink and Quest.”
Some other stuff, like before the Karka event there were posts everywhere around Lion’s Arch, giving you a warning to stay away from the waters, something dangerous is inside and the city can’t stand for the loss of kids, hats, spirits of the wild, compasses (and other ridiculous written things.)
ArenaNet, keep making posters, and other hidden things written in New Krytan, I love translating those.
Trenchcoats are awesome, I love them, but I hope they add more different looking ones than trenchcoats in the future.
Fantastic graphics and designs there and they seem to be very easily implemented! I don’t know who drew those, but if it was you then you should be hired.
Sorry, I take no credit for the pictures. These pictures have been around for a while, I don’t know if it is concept art from ArenaNet themselves or fanmade by someone else.
Well you can’t compare an mmo to food cooked by a chef.
Why not?
Because it’s like comparing a carrot to an airplane.
Because having no powers at all will kitten yourself, and your whole team by a lot.
While defensive stats are good, it’s always good to balance it all out, it’s not really that good to go for one set of stats only.
Like me, I am stupid, I have gone for full, and only ‘’of the Soldier’’ gear, which is not that great, I must balance it out.
I’ll manage though.
Will never understand people asking for Kodan as a playable race.
Sure, they look cool and all, but they just look like polar bears standing right up, and just some armour and weapons added, and you can’t see the difference between the women and men.
Sweet. You should give Josh and Anet rights to use that in future SAB updates. It would make great boss fight music
While dubstep is close to 8-bit music I don’t think it would fit the SAB :P
It was hard to make capes because of Charr, they are running on all 4, and it clips horribly.
However, that shouldn’t really stop ArenaNet to make capes in different shapes.

Some of these looks awesome, for example. If they really, really do not want capes to clip on Charr, they can have race restrictions to it, or something.
I play a Guardian with full Soldier gear, I am support traited with shout condition removal. I can’t dodge for kitten and always stands in fire. I am the lone survivor, I am Legend.
kitten me right?
Don’t worry, 50 is the limit where you can buy a Custom Arena Kit.
I am positive anet announced that gems would be a reward for winning tournaments months ago in a video they released. Can we get a response on what happened to this?
im positive anet said ages ago in a video that this game was going to be an esport too, but….
ooooops!
Find me that video where they say that this game was going to be an E-Sport?
Oh, wait, let me guess, you only find videos where they say they will try to make the game an E-sport?
Thought so.
OOOOOOOOPS!
Calling it, Miya is actually the end boss because Lord Vanquish can’t stand her and asks you to get rid of her.
Stupid legless princess.
Doesn’t matter, and you don’t need to guest there. sPvP is regional. Only the mists staging area is on your home server.
This is correct. If someone on Anvil Rock hosts a custom arena, it will display for everyone.
I learned something new today
I suppose these are ONLY for NA players then? So EU players can’t see hosted NA servers, right? and vice versa?
that’s correct EU/Na are separate. But the Custom arenas are universal through all Hotm’s from every regional server . (region being eu/na).
In many ways it will be like current hotjoins.
So, let’s say.
A Custom Arena Hosted by someone from NA, and it got spectator mode. Even if I play on EU, I can observe the match?

Moto is already making enough money by dressing up as a princess and pretending to be kidnapped. Just think of all of those upgrades and skins you’re buying. He’s making a fortune!
It’s already proven that Miya is not Moto.
The only thing I would like to have is an enemy cast bar so I don’t have to guess all the time when to cast what.
Mah boi, whats for dinner
I’m so hungry I could eat an Octorok!
The Inquest stole the Asura weapons, and the Nightmare Court stole the Sylvari weapons.
We do not know the price for anything yet. It might be expensive, or it might be cheap.
I didn’t know there were tiers to cultural weapons. Are the t3 in the game as drops? I’ve never seen them.
Asura seem to me to be more the mysterious, glowy, hovering, cubist types :P
I don’t recall seeing even a remotely biological looking device made by an Asura anywhere.Asuran children!
Tier 3 Armour is bought from a vendor for 119 gold total. Tier 3 Weapons cost 63,000 karma, each.
Jon Peters Signet Warrior Rush
I named him Morshu the Shopkeeper. I can’t hear anything else than “Lamp Oil!”
I always wait for him to say “Sorry Link, I can’t give credit! Come back when you’re a little, MMMMMM, RICHER!” but it never happens.
If we put him in he will just loop “YEEEEEAH BOOOOI!” over and over at maximum volume.
Darn, and here I thought he was yelling ‘’LAMP OIL!’’
While he’s being really silly, I still think that sword is Legendary in its own way
Can I ask Josh Foreman, or the one responsible, to add a Shopkeeper pet in the next SAB build, in the future?
I love that little fella.
It feels like people still believe ArenaNet only got 10 people working there in total, whereas 3 people work on Super Adventure Box, 2 on PvP, 2 on bugs, and 3 on PvE.
Guys, no, just no, this is not how a company works.
I’m pretty sure ArenaNet got over at least 200 workers, including the cleaner guys and the other heroic jobs
I think he quitted the game?
Of course not, he’s playing Guild Wars 2 from time to time, as well as Smite (I’m not speaking for Gasmask himself, but this is what I’ve seen on his stream.)
I play a Guardian, and I got to say we got some really good heals, but could Prayer to Dwayna be good in any way?
It got pretty short CD (30 seconds) and heals for 6,860.
I’m not traited anywhere which improves the healing of either Signet of Resolve, or Shelter.
Hmm…
If Custom Arenas are replacing hotjoin and they cost money, and hotjoin is free…
This could potentially kill off the population of prospective PvPers that don’t have gems/lots of gold. This will truly make PvP quite a “small town.”
It doesn’t cost gems to play on a server, only to own one.
Im not understanding why it costs money to own one, dota 2 lets you create a custom lobby for free. Why does the ability to restrict who joins your game cost money at all?
Because ArenaNet must earn money in some way, and this is a great feature, let’s just not hope it’s overpriced.
And what other MMO lets you customize your own arena like this? Not even subscription based MMOs let you do anything with their PvP.
I think it’s alright for ArenaNet to take money from us by releasing such tool.
Oh well, that’s sad, I hope they come up with something better than dead ;P
Everytime I enter Fractals after a disconnect, why do I have to be dead all the time?
While custom Arenas and such sounds awesome, this what I quoted might be it’s downfall.
It is quite interesting that people seems to react on that since we have known more or less since they mentioned Custom Arenas the first time that it WOULD cost to rent them.
I’m not against it, I knew it would cost a little bit extra to rent a server, I’m Ok with it. But as I said, it’s all about the price.
