You can’t handle a feature and talk about skill?
I will 3 v 1 u and prove me u can stomp at least one person or even get him downed, i wanna see that. Ur up for that?
I guess you haven’t seen the Thief videos when they roam WvWvW?
You know these videos when they roam WvWvW and kill a whole group because of the stealth mechanic?
That is 5 vs 1.
Why do I get the impression that you sound so angry and sad?
I agree for the “most” part. Though I would like to point out that in the personal story you have a chance of literally killing dozens of YOUR pact allies due to betrayal and a mesmer spell.
Though when even developed characters are dying left, right and center. When a dozen no name people die. It loses its impact.
Also Trehearne’s passiveness to people dying also adds to the ‘meh some one died again’ factor. “Oh no. People died. We paid a great cost! … Let’s move on and pretend this never happened. I have this plan that the prio…err. I came up with! Yes. I totally came up with it.”
To be honest, I think that gives Trahearne a lot of character. He sounds very passive, and almost not caring, but still he does all these things to cleance Orr because it’s his Wyld Hunt.
It’s most likely because he’s a Sylvari, and not a Human. He was born for one thing, and he wants to complete it.
Because it’s funny as hell to see your Berserker profession to go down as well.
If you downed someone, and he then is able to down you, you deserve to die.
Too bad that don’t happens to me at all, and if i do i pop up vengeance, gl. I bet u cant move outside of a zerk bc some “berserker” will stomp u for breakfast. Next please
You sound like a kid with the ‘’If you do that I will do this and you can’t win’’ arguement.
The Living Story is pretty much starting to take these kind of things up.
The sad part is that the achievement tab and the back items spoils everything in mere 10 seconds of reading the achievements.
I hope ArenaNet will do something about that in the future, like hiding achievements until they are ready to be done.
Because it’s funny as hell to see your Berserker profession to go down as well.
If you downed someone, and he then is able to down you, you deserve to die.
Thieves aren’t really a threat, they are just boring as hell to fight because they can escape and disappear whenever they want to.
Stealth (rather total invisibility…) is such a boring mechanic, especially in MMOs. ArenaNet should have just stayed with Assassin and its shadow stepping, there were no need for stealth…
This is World of Roguecraft all over again.
I still want a Costume Maker to hold my Town Clothes, and I still believe “Hold the Line!” Guardian shout still doesn’t remove conditions correctly
I wanted to post some but this thread will be removed :/
Someone was data mining some days ago.
They found something about ‘’New Armor sets in gem store’’ like the ones we have now.
Could be something that will appear in the gem store.
‘’That soldier, is a threat, and we’re going to-…’’
‘’FOR THE QUEEN, CHARGE!’’
Mancrush on Logan.
Troy Bakers voice makes me pregnant in an unexplainable way.
While we wait for the servers to go up, let’s go waaay back in the past
Beta is finally over! They will release the game now
Armor with stats should never, and most likely never will, in the gemstore, since that is more or less the definition of Pay to Win.
Never said that armor with stats should be sold in gem store, I said that armor that already exist, those with stats, should be able to go into the costume slots, to give you the look of it.
Transmutation stones destroy the armor you transmute over, and you have to buy the armor over again.
As an example, I want all my different sets to look like Tier 3, but I can’t, since then I have to buy Tier 3 over, and over again for each set.
Your build is so secret, it’s so hard to see what weapons you are using and what traits to go with.
No, going with sword and traiting for spoon is not very effective, it doesn’t even need to be hidden since no one will go with it…
Remove Transmutation Stones, add Costume Slot like Original Guild Wars.
Earn money by adding more Combat Costumes to the gem shop. (Armor with stats should go in there as well to give you the appearance of it)
It’s beyond my understanding why you should downgrade from Costume Slot to Transmutation Stones.
I miss a lot of features from Original Guild Wars. I’m actually a little bit confused why these features didn’t come to Guild Wars 2.
One for example is the Costume Maker, which held your costumes you bought from the cash shop.
Also the Collectors which gave you unique items if you turned in 250 stack of some useless scrap, and you had to farm for them, a lot.
I also miss the Henchmen and Heroes to some degree.
Also the Missions, that you could beat in time, and the Hardmode with additional objectives to do while completing the Hardmode Missions.
Also the Vanquish, to kill every mob in an area to gain experience, gold, and such.
Costume slots. Why the hell should you downgrade from Costume slots and use transmutation stones?
Would fit Human Heavy Tier 3.
Since it’s the Seraph armour, it’s actually a symbol of the Goddess Dwayna, because of the winged theme. Same with the Human Tier 3 weapons, everything got wings on it.
Wings on a Guardian player with Human Tier 3 would look pretty neat.
The insignas and recipes dropped in the Molten Alliance Facility dungeon which is now take out from the game.
I would guess.
I love this crab tossing.
WINNING.
I think I was just in a game with you. The only people who do seem to like it are those with a secret formula to keep away from people as much as possible. You had a 200 or so lead over the second place. Something I don’t understand though is that my charge forward stops at about half way through the skill animation, then I stand there, doing nothing, for 2 seconds. Easily enough time for anyone to take the crab from me.
I assume that endurance buffing traits help.
My question is: is there some kind of trick to using the charge forward skill? Why is mine just “stopping”. For me, it’s sucky. People who can do it seem to love it. I will try to grind out the achievements but eh, I might not be able to stand it enough for that, especially if my charge forward skill is never “fixed”.
Who’s idea was to put 3 karka veterans, rolling arround every 2 seconds, getting you killed and looking at your screen for 10+ seconds…
It makes you rage sometimes
Same person who thought a “dumb luck” achievement would also be super fun!
The ‘run away’ skill is a skill you hold down, the longer you hold it down, the longer you will run. Press the skill, and hold, release at any moment and your character will slow down, and then stand still for a second.
I do not play a profession with endurance regeneration trait, if you don’t count the Guardian trait which gives me vigor if I crit something.
Hopefully Seafarer’s Rest will continue doing good.
Some players are trying to alienate casuals and pugs by forcing them to join Teamspeak, and completely leave them out of any information if they don’t join, hiding the Commander Tag and everything.
Sure, Guilds are strong, and can do well, but remember that there are a lot of randoms that join your zerg as well, increasing your numbers even more.
Just saying, do not alienate casuals and pugs. The Random player is pretty much everything that keeps the server strong.
A modicum of difficulty? Oh sweet Quag kill me now, this is completely against true gaming and GW2’s ethics. Brb quitting 9ever and devoting the rest of my life to crying on the forums.
On a side note, the last time I did this puzzle was on a character much larger than I usually jump with after two months between the last time I did skipping stones, and I did it the first try. It really isn’t hard. At all.
If that’s still not enough for you, Mesmers flock to the end to make money porting people up to it and it isn’t even necessary for the achievement. Although I guess even the illusion of minor challenge can scare some people.
Probably I’m just not good enough but I couldn’t manage it. The last thing I need is elitists telling me how easy it is. Sure you mastered it, but I didn’t. I would appreciate a bit of respect.
On the other hand, playing blindfold chess is easy too imho … I don’t trash talk others who can’t.
oh yeah well i can touch my nose with my toes
I can do that too
I love this crab tossing.
WINNING.
I got disappointed as well. Getting the whole thing spoiled before my eyes in an instant, it put me in a bad mood.
I cheered myself up with some Crab Tossing, it worked to some degree but this still bugs me, because the story, the lore, is everything to me.
As a Guardian, Aegis still pops up and block things.
Oh my god, why do I have to do anything in the game, hand kitten over to me already, where are all my ascended items? Where the kitten is my Legendary? Why doesn’t ArenaNet let me use a bot program, why do I have to play the game myself to get anything
No, no, no.
Not all flowers are perfect.
Sometimes, they clip with each other in real life too.
Don’t worry. Human Cultural Tier 3 Heavy clips with the flower too.
I’m in a somewhat small guild at the moment.
We are aiming to get more, but with a small guild like we have now, we pretty much know everyone and it feels good to to think that you actually has a part somewhere, compared to 500 member guilds where you are 1 in the sea of many….
None of them fits a guardian (i’m sure alot of you disagree though)!
But, omg!! It will be perfect for my norn female ranger. Or a necro or one of those cabbages!
Nothing fits the Guardian to be honest.
I’m waiting for angel wings back piece or whatever >:D
So my Ranger is Lord Faren’s best friend (according to my personal story) but he acts like he does not know him on the Southsun shore stuff… so what up with that, wouldn’t he be all “bff what up”?
Well, I got the same feeling, but he’s probably busy keeping his eyes on Kasmeer.
I wish he would’ve mentioned my name at least
@Farzo: ^ I have the same issue, I tried a few times with me being the last one holding the crab at the end of the game (with being top player and without) but didn’t get the achievement (Crabtacular!) !!
Well, the achievement says ‘’be the last man standing’’ and people here on the forums talking about the other players have to be dead (as in, the giant karkas should have rolled over them, and everyone dies, except you who is alive holding the crab)
That sounds really hard though o.o
Obviously, it’s new, so people haven’t learned it that fast, but I feel rather proud of it from a first time!
Edit: The score I got was 294
(edited by Farzo.8410)
its easy
grab the crab
hope that everyone else dies to the karka at the same time
Oh.
That sounds rather hard O.o
I am the last player holding the crab when the timer ends, why don’t I get an achievement for that?
it’s in your inventory
Yup, it was somehow placed in my invisible bag, I got it now, thanks for the heads up.
I picked up her device, and then it disappeared when I ran to far away or something, now I can’t pick it up again.
Feels like ArenaNet and NCsoft might not have that good communication, and that NCsoft is trying to push ArenaNet for even faster content and sales.
Anet are basically selling gold now.
Better that than having you buying gold form an illegal gold source, and then getting banned for it, complaing to ArenaNet you did ‘’nothing wrong’’
Guys, ’’it’s just 1 inventory slot’’ is not really the problem here, but if they are going to add more bullkitten books, and more costumes, and more brooms, and more drills and yada yada, it will be really annoying if you want them.
Original Guild Wars had a Costume Maker, which stored your costumes, FOR FREE.
Original Guild Wars even had extra dances that you learned if you bought the Collectors Edition. THERE WERE NOTHING TAKING YOUR INVENTORY SLOT, IT WAS A /DANCE COMMAND YOU LEARNED.
ArenaNet is going back in so many ways, it’s sad. They are doing this becayse they want us to buy more bag and bank space.
And It’s really annoying.
Okay, cause I never did FaF or Retribution, so I really don’t know what I am goin to do in SoS. Is this story for 80? Or any level?
Thanks again guys~You will be upscaled to 80 if you go there on a low level.
Well, it’s basically a new story. You will do events, completing achievements, perhaps getting a vanity item or so.
((Vanity Items)) Sorry, but what might those be? Really good items for combat or something like that?
Well, vanity item is more like a ‘fun’ item. Like the town clothes from the gemstore, the drill, the broom, the dance book, etc.
Such items, they are called vanity items, because they don’t really do anything except looking good and are fun to use.
The 2 most famous players have been banned by arenanet because they exploited the game. Or actually it’s because they bought an item from a NPC that was to cheap. So anet banned them because they made a mistake in their own game rofl. There are some famous GW2 players left, but don’t do much anymore. (Dontain & MattVisual). The only interesting thing left in this community is GameBreaker TV. It’s funny when i type “GW2” in youtube, the first thing i see is: Kripperrian – World First Permaban
ArenaNet banned these people because they knew they were exploiting the game.
‘’Buying an item by mistake’’ is bullkitten. People knew they were exploiting, they bought thousands of weapons to put in the mystic forge to tansform into exotics and sell, earning thousands of gold.
Okay, cause I never did FaF or Retribution, so I really don’t know what I am goin to do in SoS. Is this story for 80? Or any level?
Thanks again guys~
You will be upscaled to 80 if you go there on a low level.
Well, it’s basically a new story. You will do events, completing achievements, perhaps getting a vanity item or so.
This story will be faster than Flame & Frost though. Flame & Frost lasted some months, Secrets of Southsun will only last 1 month, so they are speeding some things up.
We are going back to Southsun Cove, but something is happening there.
It’s a new storyline.
Trouble is brewing on the tropical island of Southsun Cove.
The merchants and traders of The Consortium have given shelter to refugees driven from their lands by the Molten Alliance, but many of these new arrivals feel more like prisoners than guests. With the new settlers on the verge of rioting and someone—or something—driving the local wildlife to new heights of aggression, it’s up to you and Lionguard Inspector Kiel to quell the violence and discover the Secret of Southsun!
It’s somewhat connected to Flame & Frost, but it’s also something completely new, and we have to find out why.
Me, Myself, and I.
Sorry, but I know kitten about any other ’’famous’’ player :P
Female Human with white hair, playing a Thief all in dyed in black, with a Japanese name.
Delete your character please
I suppose everyone have already seen this video, but I’ll link it again for kitten and giggles.
