I noticed this as well, once you hit the 70+ zones everyone turns into straight up kittens that will do nothing if it doesn’t benefit themselves.

I think the main issue for this is the insane amount of time it takes to revive someone that is completely downed. If they make reviving someone that fully downed much faster while out of combat then i am sure many more people would take the time to revive.

But now that i think about it more. it seems pretty isolated to the orr zones which are so bad that most people just want to rush and get the zones over with as fast as possible so they can leave, so they don’t want to stop to help anyone else.

Does no one else really miss the deck building aspect of GW1?

They pretty much just got rid of skills in this game and replaced them with the traits. At least this is how i see it. In some ways this is pretty nice since the massive amount of skills in the first game could be pretty overwhelming. But this game really needs more skills, specifically the ability to choose different weapon skills.

But one thing this game needs badly is more elite skills, there are just not enough at all in this game and most of them that are in all pretty much the same, the game needs more elites with more variety. Like the elite skills in the first game where pretty much beefed up versions of just about every skill type in the game that were stronger but limited by long cd and the ability to only have 1, but could drastically change how you played your class just by changing the elite. The biggest example of this imo were the forms on the dervish.

This game is still great without the boat load of skills, but really limits the different amount of builds we can make, thus making almost everyone play their class pretty much the same as everyone else using the same class.

Increase stationary targets' hitboxes please.

The hitboxes are fine. You just need to keep moving around most stationary targets that you are attacking with a melee weapon or you will keep missing them. No idea if this is intentional or not, but just circle around them while hitting them and you will hit every time. Isn’t an issue for ranged weapons.

If they were fine then we wouldn’t need to run around them which more often than not you still can’t hit them. This also isn’t possible with many of them since most of the ones i have seen are against a wall so you can’t run around them.

But the one that i have the biggest problems with are the roadblocks, i can never hit these with melle, i have to switch to ranged to hit them. I hope they fix these soon.

Anet is an GW2 android chat app safe to use?

Don’t use any third party apps for this stuff. Anet announced a long time ago about plans for their own app but haven’t heard anything about it for a while.

A few of the things they talked about for it were a map where you could see where your friends are on it and you could show them where to go and had guild and friend chat as well as other things.

But i really hope we get some new news on the app soon, it was the reason i bit the bullet on getting a tablet. Was on the fence about getting one for a while but when they announced the app i picked up the sony tablet s when it came out.

Very much so. On my norn warrior only 2 of the elites seem any good. (signet and banner) the rest are crappy forms. (at least hey seem to be whenever i tried them) I don’t even use my elites all that often, i tend to only really use the signet when i need a speed boost to get around faster or if i remember to use it when i use my atk speed boost skill (name escapes me) with my hundred blades to give myself an extra little dmg boost. And the banner i pretty much never use it except for rezzing people which i often completely forget i have it and it goes completely unused.

I really miss the skill variety in guild wars 1, specially the elite skill variety.

My email was hammered with attempts from different cities in China twice. I wish they would give me the choice to say “just ignore anything coming from outside my country”. I don’t plan on going to China anytime soon, and if I was I doubt I would play GW2 while there.

They should just automaticly block all login attempts from a country other than the one you made the account on (for everyone) and the only way to login in another country would be to contact support and provide proof you own the account. Since most if not all the gold farmers (and people who are attempting to hijack accounts) seem to be in china, the only people who would still have issues with this would be those who live in china.

They should have the heart info always stay on the side where events and the story quest info it. When completed it should just fill the heart rather then remove it completely.

But i agree though that the downleveling needs some serious work. When you are being dropped a couple levels it isn’t too bad (in some cases the several level drops hurt you alot), but when you are level 80 being downleveled in a low level zone you just roflstomp everything with little to no effort making it no fun for your low level friend/s and other people in the zone.

Public test servers only work and are needed with games that have long periods of time between updates. With anet releasing small updates every couple of days, making a public test server just won’t work like you think it will and will just slow everything down.

I don’t mind the minimap size limit too much, my only real issue with the minimap is like you mentioned with icons fading out too soon when zooming out and icons blending in with the map too often.

I play on a 19" 1920*1080 monitor with small ui setting.

Games generally like to ban bots in waves rather than individual players. The reason for this is it is easier for bot markers to keep up if they ban people individually as they get a heads up that their bot was detected and update their bots to not be detectable. But instead they ban in huge waves so people don’t have time to react and update their bot before being banned.

At least that is the way i see it and to me it makes sense.

They could just add 2 pve specs to switch from like you could have one for general pve and a second for dungeons and have a special spec just for wvw that gets switched to automatically when you enter wvw.

You can craft them with the armor making professions. It has the same recipe as the normal bags but you add one of the dusts to it. (same crafting lvl dust as the bag) The safe bags also hide stuff from vendors and whatnot as well. But big warning if you use the mystic forge, the items still show up in the forge (i think it is a bug) so watch carefully if you keep other weapons in your bags to swap to when using the forge.

Allow characters to dye there accessories.

+1 for the ability to dye weapons and offhands. Like sebulon i like having my armor dark colors and having these bright color weapons is annoying. This biggest weapon color issue i had was that one leafy green looking 2h sword, (don’t remember the name of it) that thing stuck out like a sore thumb.

This downscaling design in GW2 is getting me..down.

I still feel pretty strong in lower level areas. Almost too strong. Especially since we’re often down-leveled to be +1 or even +2 above mob levels, and that makes a significant difference in this game.

Odd cause almost every time i get downleveled i am 2-3 under the mob levels and on rare occasion the same level. But once i started making sure i had gear that was my level rather then a 5 or more levels below i had a much easier time when being downleveled.

The point is to get materials for crafting. If you want to reduce the money you lose when going for the achievement only use the basic kits on whites and dedicated salvage items and vendor blues and put greens and up in tp if you don’t need em. That is how i do it and still make pretty decent money while still getting mats for crafting.

They should just give turrets a pet bar kinda thing where you can tell it to attack your target, stop attacking and attack what is attacking you. Pretty much just like the ranger just without the special attack button.

In the lower level zones most people are pretty nice but in the higher level zones almost everyone is an kitten.

Having the patches small and frequent is one of the things i love about guild wars. I hate other games where you have to wait a month or more for anything to get fixed.

Once you get towards the end of the story quests there is one that gives you a really good lvl 80 back item.

I would love better targeting, i play a warrior and hate when i turn my camera real quick to see if anything spawned behind me and my guy turns and starts whacking the air. But this seems to be more of a bug rather then a targeting issue and doesn’t always happen.

That’s the intention of this game – that you should be able to level up without taking a huge amount of time to do so. There’s no sub fee, so no reason for them to make it take months to get to max level.

Ya but spending maybe 45 minutes to an hour max and getting from 75-80 in the first orr zone is too quick no matter the reason for it.

I am all for faster leveling than most mmos, most games like wow take way too long to level. In this game the first half of the levels were just right when it came to the time per level. But once the xp per level flattened out and the events started giving more and more xp per event, the leveling got too quick. At the very least it should have taken the exact same amount of time per level not get faster.

The first 50 or so levels weren’t bad. But leveling from 70 to 80 was way too quick imo, seemed like each level was only 4 or 5 events and that’s it. I would have preferred a higher xp ramp than what they did, but it isn’t that big of a deal.

This is also a big issue with the “train troops” hearts in some areas, in the one pact camp just before you leave for fort trinity (forget the zone name) there are the troops that people can fight for the heart but they are directly on top of the merchant.

Such a pain in thekitten trying to sell junk and whatnot when someone keeps activating the troops and instead of fighting the person activating them they go after you while trying to sell stuff, but you have to stop and fight the soldier so you don’t die. When you finally defeat said soldier and go back to trying to sell stuff it happens yet again.

You have no place to be telling me what I am or am not doing “bob”. Would you like a screenshot of my map to show everything I had to do to get to 80?

No we are not but it is obvious you are not exploring right and not doing everything you come across and skipping stuff.

Getting all waypoints and poi and hearts does not mean you are exploring, you need to do des, those are what level you up not just hearts. Every single time you see a de happening anywhere near you, go do it. If you stop and do events every time they happen you will have absolutely no issue leveling.

Like Bey said, run speed is pretty much cut in half once you enter combat (which i think it bs and should not happen) and all the speed buff does while in combat is make you run the normal out of combat speed.

When i did this one on my warrior i couldn’t use the cattlepult at all (no use option) until after doing the de and betting. But this was back on the 28th so something may have changed since then.

Most likely just a connection issue rather than an actual bug. Whenever this happens to me it is usually followed shortly after by a disconnect.

Same issue at 1920*1080, but seeing as the normal ui is too big for me i just stick it out and go by the pictures and tooltips to see which item is which and for prices i just look at the items page since it isn’t so bad on that.

I do hope this gets fixed soon though, seems like it would be stupid easy for them to fix it.

[BUG] Lifetime Survivor Achievement

If you die at all on a character then that character can no longer get the lifetime survivor achievement at all. It doesn’t work like the monthly achievement does where you just need to get the xp needed without dying.

I am in the bandwagon of adding a filter to filter out already purchased recipes or at the very least the ability to sell them back to the vendor within a certain time limit, even if we lose a bit of karma, still better than the full karma loss. I have accidently bought duplicates several times now with no option but to just toss it away.

The best way to do it imo would be like buying skills and most crafting recipes in wow for example where instead of giving you an item it just automatically adds it to your recipe book and removes it from the vendor so you can’t buy it again on that character. This should be how it is done anyway since as far as i can tell the recipes are soul bound (not account) so you can’t give them to one of your alts for example.

But that is ignoring the fact that there are so many of them, i report them every time i get mail from one of them and i get at least 2 from them every time i log in.

I completely support a friends and contacts only option for mail.

ANET needs to move the camera focus to about the waste level to mitigate it imo.

What Anet needs to do is give us a first person camera. I was doing the troll jumping puzzle in la with my buddy (i am norn and he is human) and it was nearly impossible for both of us because we couldn’t see a thing because of the camera.

I have nothing but problems with the camera in buildings and caves, literally can’t see a thing.

They reset the monthly achievement because people who completed it last month didn’t have theirs reset properly so they couldn’t complete it this month.

I have noticed this as well, almost every time i take a big jump (like the diving board in la) the scream doesn’t start until after i hit the water and sometimes it starts half way into it (which isn’t that bad) but lasts several seconds after landing. Other times i get it after dropping a measly couple feet where i take no fall damage at all.

I’ve been getting offers in my game mail…very, very annoying.

Same, every time i get online i have at least 2 messages from these people. I have a feeling all these gold sellers are getting our friends name from here, they really should allow us to have separate names instead of our gw2 friends name. Normally i would love using the same name on the forums as i do ingame, but the gold sellers are so bad in this game it isn’t even funny. I was in the grove a little bit ago on my new character i made getting all the pois and whatnot and there were like 4 gold sellers spamming the hell out of map chat the whole time.

Anet needs to do something to stop these people, i have never seen another game/series that has as many gold sellers constantly spamming chat and players mail as gw1 and gw2 do. Something about this game attracts these pests more than other games and i hope anet finds the cause soon and puts a stop to it.

What ends up happening though is everyone will sit in the city, next to a vendor and just wait for the queue. This stops people from actually experiencing the game, imagine trying to quest and no one else is there to do the events with you..

Lmfao that’s what already happens, almost noone sits outside the instances or in the zones looking for group, they all sit in la looking for one. Every time i go to la to craft i see nothing but people looking for groups for instances in map chat.

Technically the title doesn’t say all, it gets cut out half way through, but i agree. I can’t stand how all the medium armor i have encountered so far, the helm is a mask that looks really bad to me and doesn’t fit my class at all (engineer) and always have it hidden but i am forced to look at it all the time on the character selection.

Speaking of dyes, i have noticed on heavy armor that in the preview window when trying out colors, the colors often look way different in the preview then they do for real. I am sure this is mostly due to lighting in certain areas but it is really disappointing to have a color setup that looks great but in most lighting it looks really bad.
