I feel it’s important to post this……
A noticeable meter of Dev (or any offical employee) interaction has been falling to the wayside yet again…..
I could measure the amount of Anet interaction very easily by counting how many times I could “tab” over forum pages without seeing a “red” response. At the time of the above link’s posting…….many (measured in multiples of 10) forum pages would be expired before seeing a “red” response.
I’m sorry to say…but I’m seeing the lazy creep back into the Anet initiative. We get maybe 2 threads with “red” responses per page today……
You are again sliding into a lazy interaction.
There…
I edited this myself. Moderate that.

G600
No contest. Once you spend some time with it, you’ll never go back to a standard mouse. It’s also built like a tank.
Officially allowing macros for instruments was the right call to make.
Given the god-awful implementation of instrument interface in GW2 it’s a no brainer to allow players to work around the sloppy mess of note playing that they gave us.
It’s all fine and dandy, if you want to stand on the corner bleating out your best work, trying to play decent music by hand. That’s on you. Don’t begrudge talented macro writers for blowing your crappy “live” performance out of the water with transposed works of art.
The real protest of allowing macros and instruments in large comes from those that feel their special little snowflake status is melting away because suddenly their “mary had a little lamb” performance is getting ignored in favour of a macroed Mozart piece.
I miss the classic class roles of healer, tank, and nuker.
Yup. saw this tonight. Also seeing an issue just before the very last jump of the puzzle that takes all your remaining health in one go. Talk about a Xmas “kitten#8221; from Anet……
GW2 servers are having a barf fest……..
the assumption that arena net is incapable of adjusting math throughout the longevity of the game is ludicrous.. with that said, i’ve been on 300 magi find since scarlet died and it does exactly what it is designed to do.. a few extra yellows here and there, essence of luck is artificed into the bank and it takes up very little space
This is the truth that eludes the other guy. I’ve given up trying to reason with somebody that has already closed their mind on the subject. Always know when to walk away…shaking your head, but still walking away. lol
Those of us that have the MF maxed know what it really means.
Answer me why a luck eating baby quaggan who gives your presents would be a bad thing?
I’m not saying that a present pooping quaggan would be bad. I’m just arguing the issue over the MF track. It can be tailored past 300 MF with such a degree of scaling that could still fit the reward levels of the game.
That’s besides the underlying point though. The fact of the matter is EoL are given as a reward or salvage item that can’t be used for some, simply because they played too much. That’s what’s not fair here.
Reread what Astral typed. It has nothing to do with how much it takes to go up. It has everything to do with ANet not wanting players to go beyond a certain point with regard to improved drops.
Sorry, you’re still wrong about the concept. Players can already stack luck well past 500 with boosts and other bonuses.
Stop inserting your own definition into the idea of scaling luck beyond “a certain limit”. There’s no reason that Anet can’t make it feasibly/reasonably impossible to attain levels of luck that are attainable right now through exponentially diminishing luck levels. None.
And so yes it DOES have everything to do with how much it takes to go up a level. By the very notion of the suggestion.
Thank you. I wish other people could see this.
Not exactly a valid view point if the next level or percentage is continually harder and harder to attain. Much as it is now.
There should be some reward/use for essences of luck after 300% Magic Find.
Remove the cap….exponentially increase the amount needed for the next level (as it already is, sub 300).
-or-
Add a vendor that trades EoL for boosters.
Both of these are more than reasonable requests for those of us getting excluded from game rewards, simply because we reached a cap.
Staff guardians = stacking group might.
Argument over.
Well…. WvW WAS the original ktrain…..
My personal belief is that luck is no different than “rabbits feet” in World of Warcraft 2004. Seriously, there was a rumor going around that carrying Rabbit’s Feet in 2004 Warcraft would increase your drop rates for rare and epic items. I knew people who absolutely believed in this. Tin foil hats. It’s a real thing. Just like the Mystic Forge really produces precursors.
I have multiple accounts, and the MF does in fact increase the number of rares I see dropped. Especially under a Bday boost. Also, I guess I have a foil hat……. as indicated by the 6 Mystic Forge precursors or so I’ve had. If anything, it’s a myth they drop in the wild! :P
Realistically, the most sensible solution is to continue the MF bonus. Just make it continue to increase in requirement for the next percent (as it does already).
I didn’t see the pic that the OP posted, but I have 300% MF, and at least 1.5 million luck essences sitting in storage.
I would also like an answer to this question. Up until a month or two ago, you could at least click it, and keep track of it past 300%. Now, nothing.
I think it’s fair to offer a trader for these….maybe a mini pet?
Why you could have sold all those blue/greens on the tp or vendor trashed them…… Luck was added to the items as a bonus they dident take away any resources from said item when you salvaged them.
Edit
I would advocate a skrit thief that steal shiney luck and drop something like the mawdey 2 do for bloodstone dust tho =) and while your on it make a similar thing for empyrian fragmants and dragnoite ore aswell
$$$
At the time, it was profitable to salvage/sell. So after getting the 300% MF, I continued for a bit longer until I went bonkers. Now I have a ton of essences, that I would like to use for something.

Pre key use….
OP: “Thank you for the key sale!!”
Post key use…
OP: “kitten”
ALL minis should have the quality of tradeability.
Especially since the inclusion of the new mini management system, where they are consumed when added to a collection. It’s fine to keep the rareness of certain minis, but it is a classic Anet BRAIN FART to have certain minis account bound.
I have a lot of positive vibes for everything EXCEPT the treatment of new/low level characters.
Anet…..you kitten ed hardcore on that.
Slapping them on the wrist after they cheat the system by making them “lose money” (as John Smith says), is not enough.
These people not only violate the trust that Anet has given them, but they are also cheating other players.
BAN THEM.
Don’t just slap them on the wrists. Irresponsible Anet…….
The fact that they can be sold/bought makes them not only RNG. It doesn’t matter if it was a lucky drop for the original owner. If they ONLY came from the forge or as a drop then you’d have a logical leg to stand on.
Listen to yourself…. “I refuse to do that” (purchase off the TP). Entitled, does not a legendary make.
What they’re saying is actually considering more sides than you are. I don’t like the idea of spending hours and hours and hours grinding more gold than I’ve ever gotten before, strategizing and saving… then handing it over to some other player who got a lucky drop. It’s crappy, I’d much rather spend hours grinding and just throwing it into a gold sink.
If it were clear that all accounts were wired to provide similar levels of “luck”, then it might not be a problem, but that is not the case. And I don’t want to subsidize someone else’s burgeoning career flipping stuff on the TP.
A legendary should represent amazing luck or amazing work. If you want to buy enough gems to purchase one, that’s amazing support of the game. Giving everybody the best items in the game because they feel they “deserve” it, is hogwash.
The kittening and moaning of entitled players is ridiculous. The facts are, if you aren’t lucky enough to have one drop….you can still earn one. You’re not excluded by anything but your own laziness, or general lack of effort.
I don’t think there’s any reason to hand out precursors to people that feel entitled to them, merely because they want them.
If Anet wants to implement a scavenger hunt for legendary precursors, let them make NEW precursors for NEW legendarys…………ones that pertain to the new method of obtaining them.
I disagree.
There always should have been a better way for precursors. As it is ALL precursors are RNG.
Even if you pay an exorbitant amount of gold to purchase one directly, it came from RNG. It’s luck. You’re paying someone’s lottery winnings out of your own pocket. I refuse to do that, and playing RNG with the forge isn’t fun at all.
Making Mawdrey was somewhat fun, even though it had time gated aspects.
The fact that they can be sold/bought makes them not only RNG. It doesn’t matter if it was a lucky drop for the original owner. If they ONLY came from the forge or as a drop then you’d have a logical leg to stand on.

Why? So that it becomes easier for people to discriminate?
WvW is an inclusive game mode. There’s no way another player can actively select you out of game play.
WvW ranks should have a visual cue like the map completion icon. Something along the lines of a bronze/silver/gold/platinum/Mithril/Diamond symbol or icon that appears beside your character’s name.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to show off your achievements. If there was, why have titles? It’s not our fault that you feel insecure about what you have or haven’t done in the game.
“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
“Oh, you can’t help that,” said the Cat: “we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad.”
“How do you know I’m mad?” said Alice.
“You must be,” said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.”
Congrats on getting something done in the game that’s unusual.
It’s too bad that Anet doesn’t have something to show a player’s peers the achievement. The only ones that see this rank are the enemy. WvW ranks should have a little icon beside your name (like the map completion), that represents your rank tier.
And still, no sane person will buy them….
Black Lion Keys are being removed, after the patch each BLC will open without a key.
It does sound that this griefer/Anet staff impersonator should be removed from the game.
This thread should also be locked, as it’s not our business past reporting it initially. With Anet staff posting in this thread, they are fully aware of what’s happened now. Take out the trash, and lets carry on already. No need to make a spectacle in paying this type of person any more attention.
A colour rotation that is truly random would be nice. As it is, no matter where my server places, Darkhaven always seems to be FR.
The borked up system they have now just does not work. I know it’s supposed to be based of of how your home region places in WvW the previous week……..but that’s simply just not the case. Place first DH? You’re Blue! Placed second DH? You’re Blue! Placed third DH? Guess what?? THIS WEEK YOU’RE kittenING BLUE!
I agree. No reset! It’s not needed.
Open a service ticket, and report.
This is banable impersonation.
it works and is reason why the buff is only 10min^^
I agree. It also makes the gun a bit of a disingenuous gift.
Option #2
The community should vote. Why? Because Anet should be held to this new policy of “communication”, that they seem to be interested in trying out. If you want to get in touch with your community, ask them for their input. Don’t dictate topics that you think they want to discuss.
Just to highlight how you’ve been treating us, go ahead and click on the page icons at the bottom of the forum. Threads that an Anet employee post in show up very clearly. Go in a few pages, and you see those red Anet icons completely disappear.
Again, I’m glad there seems to be a renewed interest in corresponding with us. I also think it’s time to shake up your community relations team. The current ones have been dead in the water for months.
I’m glad Anet employees are starting to communicate with us, for a change. The radio silent treatment was getting old fast.
Hopefully you keep up this kind of interaction.
Please hire some community representatives that actually interact with your…..community. Keeping completely silent until your customers come after you with pitchforks and torches isn’t a good policy.
Massively boneheaded move by Anet.
I can agree with the increase in price for a general tag (since it’s going to be account wide). I can’t agree with paying for features that should be “out of the box”.
Cutting off the balls of its functionality is only going to hurt those willing to step up and lead content that requires a greater degree of coordination.
If the colors are going to be locked away, have them be attainable by WvW ranks. Have the colors mean something.
I hope we can exchange our queen Jenna’s because honestly f@%! having 8 of those.
That’s cute.
Plus another 9 on the way!

GW2 Endgame: Alt Leveling!
40 80s
24 22s
Right now I’m sitting on 90 Tomes of Knowledge, 80 level 80 characters, 4 of which, have been leveled through the tomes.
I’m guessing you mean 8 characters.
The ecto rate has not been modified.
History tells us that until you go and test this, you can be wrong on this statement. Did you run actual salvage tests to confirm this statement?
I would think looking at the code is enough.
Absolutely not enough. The last ecto rate kitten was a bug, that they couldn’t see just by examining the code, and didn’t believe existed……….until they ran salvage tests.

All I need is for it to be account bound. Passing it around is just fine, since I carry a permanent bank contract with me, it’s easy to use it on which ever character I’m playing at the time.
…..unless the actual consumable is the only thing that has changed. Then I have to say WTF Anet!
This was a needed change. I have the account max for character slots. Now, I have a feasible reason for buying one.
I think it’s an issue with team distribution.
…as in it doesn’t work at all.
Same teams, are the same colours week after week.
I don’t think the actual WvWvW colours should determine EotM placement. Truly randomize it or at least make it impossible to be the same colour for more than 2 weeks.
Guild Wars 2 has a sad community relations track record, when compared to GW1. I’m not even sure why they bother to staff a CR position. It seems ever since there was an official forum, they’ve dropped the ball in interaction with the community.
