Oh, the days when 1 gold bought 400 gems……..
Use more brain, less QQ.
Go to EotM. Your whine fest just got blown out of the water. There’s no way you can’t get 10 kills. You’re being lazy.
Whining about non permanent AP is moot, since they are capped.
Even if you can’t complete them everyday/monthly, there’s going to be a point where they do not count for your overall account’s AP.
Daily account cap is 10,000
Monthly cap is 5,000
Once those are reached, the permanent AP will be the only way to increase your rating.
Totally fair.
EotM
K-train. Choo Choo.
I think the supply mastery cap should be raised enough so that siege such as a ram, AC, or ballista can be solo built in one go.
Ideally enough to build a superior version.
@ Firebaall
You sound angry bro! It’s a kittening video game. Some pixels. Art work on a screen. These items don’t exist outside of this little box you are looking at.Anyway, I agree with the sentiment that farming gold to get everything you want isn’t and should have never have been the end all, say all route to getting items.
Too many items of exotic level (and many times rare level), involve the tp when creating them. Many items for crafting can’t be reliably farmed, so we are forced to farm gold to buy stuff from the TP. That to me is a fundamental flaw. Even worse now with the dungeon fixes. Instead of making the game about playing to achieve items, it’s about playing to get gold to gain items.
I remember farming IDS’s in GW. Of the many items you could farm, I liked doing that one. Getting that item here will never happen as a drop. I know one person who got that item from the Claw’s chest, I’m sure there are more. Every other person crafted it or just bought it from the tp.
Almost two years in with over 5k hours and I still wonder sometimes if precursors are even on the loot table.
Not angry at all…..amused more than anything. Guild Wars spoon feeds rewards to players, and it was only a matter of time before the infants demanded the top tier of rewards. Any bastion of effort is soon to be overcome by the whining of the masses. Sometimes I think the only thing protecting the top rewards of this game, is the dollar amount required to achieve it.
Just add $500 dollar legendary weapons to the tradepost, and get it over with.
We don’t care about legendaries… We want to have a decent WvW experience. They can remove all loot from WvW for all I care, if they find a way to make matchups more competitive and fun…
As long as server “A” can pay for a 40 strong golem zerg, “B” is at an unfair advantage.
Money can buy WvWvW. Those that deny it, abide by it.
Troll..Troll..Troll. I 200% reject you as an intelligent poster with responses with any sort of validity. Also do you have dyslexia? I mean its ok if you do it would make a lot of sense since your reading things in my posts that aren’t there
Instead of proclaiming “troll”, how about you counter? It’s easy to label without merit( which you do). You’re asking guild wars to compensate based on attendance? Loitering? I’m sorry that you and your friends have to work for what they what. Maybe you can solicit social benefits from other players because you don’t feel you’re on the same level as everybody else? No…..you’re not special. How about you work for what you want, like everybody else?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Precusors-for-WvWvW-players/first#post4099578
I have to say,
You guy’s couldn’t burry your father on what you make in WvWvW. It’s not just a WvW issue, but it’s a PvP issue in general.
You guys are broke kitten . Even the elite.
Stand up and make your efforts worth a donkey’s fart. You play as hard as a PvEer. Get represented in your rewards! Why are all the PvE guys rolling with the legendary weapons? It’s because you don’t demand any different!
I never ever said get one just for participating, but veteran players should feel a sense of accomplishment after 2 years and massive hardcore playing hours. I’m sorry but little Timmy down the street can farm gold; how is that a great end-game reward??
What I’m saying is precursor drops needs balancing; that is not the same thing as saying everyone should get one.
You ARE calling out for “everyone that wants one” should get it. Outside of incredible luck, a player SHOULD expect to put in some hardcore efforts for the best of the best.. I 100% reject that any player has put in an HONEST effort in can’t attain a legendary.
Crying for handouts, seems to be the norm here. Work for the exceptional, don’t expect it.
I have no specific love for WvWvW players, but it’s one of the last explorations of the game (after literally doing everything else).
With the recent lamentation in the forums over precursors, why aren’t WvW vendor items included in the mystic forge? A dedicated WvW player is husk of an economic representation of the player base. The spark in a WvWvW’s player’s eyes in receiving a donation of a stack of flame rams……..makes me feel guilty.
These guys are like South Park Kenny poor.
Badge of Honour weapons should not only be salvageable, but forgeable. They should apply to precursor opportunities. This would moderately drop the TP prices that have the PvE crowd QQing over, and provide a much needed validation to PvP player’s bank accounts.
Feed a broke PvPer today!

25-30 gold is me logging in. If I add my dedicated farming (which is laughingly not optimized), put that to 50 gold a day easy.
I agree with the op, the problem isn’t just with precursors alone it is a problem with the entire thinking on Anets part with regards to drop rates for everything .there is just no fun in farming with no rewards. They had the perfect system in GW1 , if you really wanted something specific you could go hard and farm for it even if there was a 0.00000000009% chance of getting it.
Gw2 has taken away the feeling of reward for effort in playing the game , and instead replaced it with the Gem shop, which is starting to have its affect on the community, especially with the lack of communication on the precursors and loot, there is a +700 thread on precursors 4 pages back with no reply from anet on the subject, and that is not a good business model to have.
Bullkitten.
Send me your mini Panda or Kanaxai then. Send me your GW1 account name, and I’ll meet you somewhere.
Your missing the concept completely. I’m saying that after 4khrs plus it should have been dropped at least once. Also how am I asking for a handout!!!!! Also saying I’m a kitten to a veteran player makes no sense. Never once I have I said I don’t have gold or lots of ascended stuff and legendaries. I’m saying precursors in current state is broken and dumb. Its a fact that it sucks, hence the reason why its being changed.
Let me print out some food stamps for you.
No, you are NOT entitled to a drop merely for participating.
Let me project this on another level. A great example of this argument. The Dodo bird verdict: “Everybody has won, and all must have prizes”. This is from Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”.
This implies that all participation of equal merit, deserves equal compensation. This is bullkitten, in case you were wondering; A joke on sanity.
(edited by Firebaall.5127)
A Legendary is supposed to feel… Legendary.
Deal with it. I’m @ 4.2k hours I’ve gotten 7 from the forge, and 1 from a drop. All of which were not bad, think “The Bard” was the cheapest one I’ve found.
How DARE you not role-play on Tarnished Coast and sit in Lion’s Arch, talking for four hours on how pink shoelaces remind you of the time you where in Mesmer school as a young girl.
Both of you anet kissups are missing the point and clearly ahvent read the post. I said farming gold to buy one isn’t a viable option and 99% of my 4.5k hrs wasnt standing around. I also have a legendary; I obtained the precursor by farming gold; which is the dumbest possible way ever to obtain endgame items in any game. Plus you made my point you never had a precursor drop from a mob or any other drop in your 5k hrs played, Point made
I am not asking for handouts; the point im makeing is that the current way of obtaining a precursor is completely stupid and goes against there way of doing things. Anet has officially stated multiple times that they do not like people farming; which I find funny considering that farming gold is pretty much the only “quick” way for pretty much getting everything in this game besides gemstore stuff.
So, you obtained the precursor without being stupidly lucky? You had to put the time in and earn it? Say whaaaaat? The godkitten ed horror of it!
Stop expecting the best of the items to fall into your grubby little hands, just because you want it.
Since you missed the idea of working for something, let me highlight the non-welfare idea that since luck didn’t shine on your kitten , you had to work for it. My god, what a concept.
I found greens a pain in the kitten , due to the sigels and runes. Nothing slowed down my progress more than having to deal with inventory clogging up.
If precursors are handed out like baby pacifiers, (to stifle the crying of the entitled players) this type of thread will only change in to mass QQing over the price of T6 materials.
100% guaranteed.
You thought the inflation price of the precursors was bad when the wardrobe patch came out? Wait until you see the 2000 gold worth of T6 materials you’ll need when you get your placating precursor.
Spend more time earning your rewards, rather than whining for them.
More whine from the entitled players that think they should have the best with little to no effort.
I’ve got about 5K hours into the game. I’ve made 4 legendary weapons, and had 8 or so precursors drop from forging (a lot of items). I’ve never had a precursor drop from a mob, so I pursued them via the TP, and the forge.
If you’ve been playing this game for 4.5 K hours, and you can’t get it together enough to buy a precursor, you need to stop standing around lion’s arch all day long telling each other how nice your armour looks.
As for the “scavenger hunt”, or crafting a precursor, Anet gave us ascended weapons, that equal the stats of a legendary. That is good enough.
Want a legendary? Work for it. A legendary given out those that whine, and cry cheapen the effort of those that actually deserve one.

Some fun for those of us in the 300% club.
How many salvages do you have on your account?
Mouse over the “Agent of Entropy” achievement, and it will tell you how many times you completed it. x by 200.
Mine: 615,942
:P
Yawn…..
At least fill up the tab before you stroke your kitten. You have some catching up to do.
Meh…..
Whine, whine, whine. Mr. OP
Man up and overbid/underbid by 10%. Your sniffles will be solved by conviction.
Combat Mode does much, much more than 1:1 keypress and is allowed to be used.
ArenaNet does not and has not ever reviewed or approved any third-party applications. Combat Mode, as are all other third-party tools, is very much “use at your own risk”.
And to further clarify my reply from earlier, from the Guild Wars 2 Rules of Conduct (emphasis mine):
20. You may not use any third-party program (such as a “bot”) in order to automate gameplay functions, including playing, chatting, interacting, or gathering gold or items within Guild Wars 2. You may not assist, relay, or store gold or items for other players who are using these processes.
Using AutoHotKey to map multiple key functions to a single keypress, regardless of the intended use or outcome, is a violation of the above rule.
This has always been Anet’s position. It would be useful for those asking if you bothered to explain why instead of what’s been posted. ….in the interests of the GW community:
Why? Because many 3rd Party programs can be operated in a benign manner, but can also easily be used to violate the spirit of the TOS/rules of conduct. Official approval of any such program would provide a defense for a player that was caught using such a program against account action. aka: The “It’s ok, because Anet employee XxxxxX said I was allowed to use this program” defense.
While it might be true, that they don’t have the resources to evaluate all programs and addons for GW2, the fact that they won’t officially approve ANY of them supports the above comment.
Example? A macro that spams left click (for opening a stack of inventory items) or a macro that plays some semblance of a melody isn’t likely to get your account terminated, but they aren’t going to approve of the program because you can easily use it to automate game play that provides you an actual in-game advantage.
If they started banning players for wanting to use their instruments in a way that doesn’t sound like somebody strangled a kittened goose, then there’s going to be a problem.
Lots of entitled players complaining here.
Luxury items are a luxury. Stop whining! You don’t deserve something based purely on want. A legendary weapon should be…….hold on…..this will be a shocker………….LEGENDARY.
For those of you crying about not being able to craft a precursor, Anet never promised you that you would be able to craft the precursors of the current legendary weapons. Nope, not once. In fact, they brought in ascended weapons that equal legendary stats. That should be all they need to do.
If you want a precursor, go earn it.
lol….
The original thread poster was complaining about “bots” that were hacking in WvW, and listing the player’s account name. Instead of deleting the thread, a mod removed all the OP’s responses (or…..maybe the OP just deleted what he wrote).
……looks bizarre with every context removed.
…….that’s the point. The goal IS to get into EotM with the spy account.
Players are seeding alt accounts to spy IN EotM. Usually for the purposes of hunting enemy zergs. Those nice commander tags kind of let them know where to set up the ambush.
No problem pumpkin! BTW……….posting the user name of the supposed hacker is only going to get YOU infracted. Remove it.
Hello, there is a player that won’t take the time to learn the difference between a bot and a hacker. He’s watching tier 3 towers, doing nothing. Have you guys tried to do anything about that? Gw2 Devs?
The funny thing:
Players are now starting to delete characters from alt accounts so they can change servers and spy in EotM battles.
lol….
Add one more topic about WvW elitism to the forum. What what………..? WvW is the zerg. Player level or skill level has next to nothing to do with it.
WvW players as elite players is an oxymoron at best. Keep trying though! It’s funny to watch you try.
I’ve distilled the WvW skillset down to the single participant essence.
Just apply numbers to this formula, and you have the multiplayer experience that Anet intended.
No nerf needed.
A buff for the other two bosses is need though. It’s nice to see something that counters the zerg mentality a bit.
The OG boss is super simple, if people understood the mechanics behind defeating it. The trouble is, the zerg brain is a drooling kitten at best.
Less QQ
More Choo Choo
I don’t think it’s a phenomena isolated to WvW players. I think every pvp format in a video game degrades into toxic behaviour. I liken it to a diver’s mentality. It’s a metric that showcases the worst in people.
Think of the horrible things you wanted to say when a driver cuts you off, or follows you too closely. I’ll wager it’s not too far off from what you hear or say in a video game. If you really want the deluxe experience, go play some xbox shooters, and hear how last night’s romantic encounter went with some 10 year old, and your mother.
It’s cute that WvW players dump on PvE players.
WvW is not a skilled playfield. It’s about mob mentality at best. The side that makes the blob do the most wins. EotM is about using that format to make the most out of the available rewards. WvWers are watered down PvE players any day of the week.
sPvP players are laughing at you guys making the distinction. Anet is laughing at the sPvP players who represent 1 percent of their paycheck.
Who wins?
lol @ WvW not a skilled play field.
Try taking on 50 man blob with a 15 coordinated guild group. works well.
Thanks for proving my point.
A coordinated smaller group vs. a bunch of pugs running around in a blob. Don’t stress yourself too much there champ. Nothing says “skill” like coordinating your guild against up levels and under-geared players. What’s next for you? I hear stealing candy from babies, and sucker punching little old ladies may provide you and your guild that next tier of challenge that you’re looking for.
It’s cute that WvW players dump on PvE players.

Stop whining. It’s not surprising that more people are interested in Legendary weapons now that the wardrobe system is implemented. Prices go up.
Better yet:
The server turns place 2 and 3 “green” to each other, making them friendly until the points change who is in first.
WvWvW solved.
Increased supply capacity. Enough so that the top tier could build a siege piece solo.
EotM.
Go, zerg and be fruitful.
obvious bots are obvious.
After watching them for a while, it looks like bots teleporting in and selling off the contents of their inventory bags.
They were worth it when they first came out. You could buy one for 32 gold/800 gems. Now they are 100 gold/1000 gems.
Casually farming ori nodes would pay off the old picks in about 5-6 weeks. At these prices, it would take 4-5 months of your ori farming to pay these new prices off.
Totally not worth the current price. To put this in perspective, they would have to selling for 400 gems today to be equivalent to what they were offered when they first came out.
Record for me was 0-80 in about 20 hours of game time.
Green side, level 20 scroll, birthday booster, 18 % natural account XP boost, 50% XP boost, candy corn food (15% XP), and sharpening stone (10%)……plus the odd heroes banner.
If you get blue or red, it’s a lot tougher to keep a high xp/hour going. Being outmanned sucks unless you have a crafty commander. Then those XP bonuses for being outmanned can boost your progress even more.
I am.
I’ve got an army that needs leveling. The account bound WXP motivated me.
It’s a valid argument.
The cost of ascended equivalent WvW armour/weapons would have to be very high to reflect the cost of crafting it in PvE.
5000 badges per piece!
Megaservers:
Concentrating all of GW2’s kittens into one map since April 15/2014.
Seriously Anet…..killing the game experience to save money on servers is a bad idea. Go back to individual world instances. This is lame as hell.
The biggest improvement would be to stop giving the 1st place WvW matchups the GREEN side of the map.
Mentally handicapped idea to give the strongest teams the side with the largest advantage. If you win your bracket……you should be playing as BLUE in EotM.
……bad developers are bad developers.
I think Anet developers have completely forgotten what it’s like to level a new character from scratch.
This is ridiculous for new players or those re-rolling a character. These changes are downright INSANE for WvW players. There are players that don’t PvE, and you’ve done them a great disservice requiring them to complete PVE maps in order to unlock even basic traits.
Respect your players Anet. Get rid of your trait unlocks. It’s lame as all hell.
