Wolf, it has 3 CCs (including the most “damaging” to breakbars, fear.)
how does it have 3?
KD, Fear, and?
Cripple moves the breakbar a minmal amount per duration. For the condi CCs, the “harder” they are, the more they affect the breakbar. So fear is max, cripple is minimum, and the others are in between. I have a sigil of ice on my LB, so randomly get some minor breakbar movement through that, for example.

Also GTA turns everyone into murdering thieves. C’mon, this topic is full of 90’s style mom outrage. We’ve moved on.
As I understand it, the map closing warning comes up but goes away when new people are ferried on. However once the warning comes up, the map closes in an hour no matter what, so you have a full map of people that all get the boot.
What ratio between game and gem is to far 4U?

The gemstore stuff is totally irrelevant. I don’t care about skins so it might as well not exist for me. If one came along that was really awesome I might consider it though, so the more they add the better.
The people that must have everything in game and buy everything in the gemstore have a psychological problem. If they become a slave to it, it’s no different than any other addiction.
Luke is Han’s father!
I learned my lesson with the absolute train wreck of garbage that were the last 3 star wars and the last Indiana Jones. No way I ever watch anything that fraud Lucas is associated with in any way.
You’ve already got the potential to trait your heal. I don’t see any reason to keep an untraited heal, especially when WHaO synergizes with druid and is just plain good group support. You change BM by losing the useless honed axes (you have no power or ferocity) and take Zephyr’s Speed.
Flame trap is better in pretty much every way to Viper’s Nest.
I would personally go with rabid over dire, and take sharpened edges. Dire is hella tanky for PvE, even rabid is borderline too tanky.
But ya, looks reasonable. I would just tweak a few things, taking whatever advice you find fun.

You can take a trip through memory lane by searching for maul videos on YT and google. Through the last several years people have posted videos of them trolling in WvW or PvP, and then the occasional useful video for PvE.
The highest maul by itself I’ve seen was 38k, but you could blow that out of the water in WvW against an uplevel. I remember seeing a video of a guardian getting buffed by a full party in PvE and hitting an Arah boss for like 160k. The entire party just existed to buff the guardian’s single-hit damage.
Welcome to play the game “your” way LMAO
That only ever applied to required vertical progression, leveling specifically. You’ve never been able to play however you wanted to acquire the extras.
There’s nothing you can do against latency, but adventures are a simple skill check. If the average player can’t handle silver, they’ll nerf it. For everyone else, find someone you trust and get carried.
That’s a heck of a business model.
Not sure if sarcastic or not … this is an MMO. It’s not all that unreasonable to ask someone better or more knowledgeable than you to help you out.
I’m not sure if you’ve ever read the EULA, but I think you should. Adventures are individual achievements, NO ONE can do them for you or help you with them, unless they log into your account. Which is prohibited under section 9b of the EULA. And could get you banned.
Interesting, considering they have no way of knowing if I’m playing my account, or if my sister is playing it, or my niece, or a friend, etc.
I’ve never met anyone in person that plays GW2 (other than my wife, who I bought a copy for.) They can’t tell if someone in your house is playing on your copy, but they can tell if your friend in another location who also plays GW2 is playing on your log-in. I suspect doing that will raise some flags, and we’ve seen instances where both accounts get banned.
You must do it in the dungeon mode, and yes it’s quite easy solo. Just ignore the quests and run around smashing things.
Or complete the dungeon as a group and stick around after, if you can’t deal with running away from the skritt solo.
The skill delay due to latency is making this adventure impossible to do.
I’ve never completed the thing and I have excellent ping. I’m really glad I don’t give a kitten about collections.
Sure there are work arounds, but why not just have it work like it always has so we don’t have to change all our keybinds?
Actually just keybinds. I guess it doesn’t matter if it’s for PvE or PvP since they’re the same.
In previous years, bell choir ignored your keybind settings and made all your weapon skills 1-10. This year, your PvP hot keys are saved so you have to reset all your skills to be able to play.
Take a look at pigs or devourers. Wyverns are useless for the rest of GW2s life.
Equally good, just different. I definitely recommend giving sword a try if you’re not familiar with it.
You can experiment with non-dagger offhands to create entirely new builds as well, although that may limit how effective you are in PvP. You might want to do your experimenting in WvW or a duel server. Things like cele or rabid LB + S/T or complete glass S/A.
They probably wanted more than about 1 map to try it per 2 hours. Very few people were even attempting it, which is a giant waste of a map.
If you really want ascended for open world, and I don’t see any reason to do that, you can make the cheapest set of ascended armor (cleric’s or something? I don’t know, check the prices) and then convert it in the MF. And yes, the conversion does work, you asked about that earlier. Although ascended viper’s isn’t as kittenome people make it out to be if you enjoy playing the new maps. I have to delete the new ascended mats because I have too many of them, since I wanted to get all my elite specs unlocked and played a lot of the new maps. If you don’t play the new maps a lot, you’ve got a ton of work to unlock the recipes and ascended mats.
I still think some “free” rabid or carrion dungeon or karma armor would be the way to go for a fun condi set.
Don’t do anything with your berserker armor, it’s the better armor in 99% of the game (including WvW). Just hold on to it unless ranger isn’t your main and you only want to play condi from now on.
(edited by Fluffball.8307)
What the heck??? How did you get to rank 41 (which is what, 100 games?) with no weapon swap? You’ll want some defense and utility there via staff, greatsword, or sword.
Is there a website that lists the results of all pro league matches in a matrix or something? The ESL website is a hot mess of confusion.
For open world there isn’t a really good reason to craft viper or sinister. They’re expensive, and bonfire is awkward/ineffective on moving enemies. If you want a for funsies condi set, I’d go with rabid dungeon armor.
If you can’t solo the open world without dying in glass gear, you can’t complete the raids anyway. You shouldn’t want to do raids because they aren’t meant for you.
It’s like if you liked to compete in basement fight clubs and were upset you couldn’t get licensed for a pro boxing match, when in reality, you would just get knocked out immediately.
DS is unusually brutal for taxi wars. If you load in to the map at XX:31, you’re probably too late. You’ll join a few taxis for full maps, and then be temp banned from LFG.
The crystals should be pretty easy. I barely play the map and I have more than you need.
There are lots of events you can solo, like the one where you just need to kill chak around the ogre camp.
For the sparks, run around opening the supply caches.
I wouldn’t worry about the gerent bit at all.
Map competition is irrelevant anyway because you don’t need to do any adventures at all to get whatever jungle-movement-mastery you want. And you don’t need very many at all, most can be avoided through creative jumping.
I am absolutely terrible at adventures, and yet I have all the movement-based masteries. At this point I’m just filling in random stuff I don’t want, like the daily champion.
They are not mandatory. No one must fight a nuhok champion every day. Maybe you want to, but you don’t need to. No one is forcing you to max your masteries.
I know s/t a/d is a PvP build (well it used to be anyway), but you’re having a different conversation than the rest of the thread. You called people nubs for not knowing the weapon combo, but it was you who didn’t know what they were talking about. It only works with a/t a/t.
DO NOT craft this. This recipe requres 75 Fulgurite for each Ascended piece. This is a crazy grind.
That’s one way to look at it. But if you’re like me, there is nothing else to spend this stuff on, so it’s either use it or delete it. It’s account bound, and pretty plentiful if you enjoy the new map metas (which I do). So it’s not any more of a grind than deleting massive piles of bloodstone dust every day.
I am planning to take a mixed approach, craft some as vipers and some transmuted.
And for reference, you nubs, it’s sw/torch Axe/Dagger.
I think you’re referring to the discussion of a/t + a/t, which is one of the best PvE builds across any profession at the moment. Good for raids and high level fractals.
Groups with both full glass and healing druids have completed the wings. In fact the two best known hardcore PvE guilds, DnT and SC used opposing druid strategies to finish.
This forum keep arguing back and forth, but really the group composition, skill level, and fight have to be considered.
GW is extremely alt friendly. I would encourage you to make a lot more than 1 alt, even.
There also is basically nothing but a time investment for leveling characters. Your karma for getting appropriate level gear at heart vendors is account-wide (as are all currencies.)
You don’t just randomly maul, you maul immediately after switching weapons
Ya I know how to trigger remorseless as a ranger controlling my own boons. The conversation was about the pulsing fury, which you would have a very hard time lining up.
I’ve never had one drop, so you’re luck incarnate compared to me.
condi ranger is probably still the second strongest condition damage profession, no one can touch engi right now.
DnT said condi ranger was so close to perfect engi rotation it’s effectively the same due to it being so much easier to use.
And then there is the berserker. I put some crappy dungeon armor on my warrior to fool around with burns and I was like ‘whhaaaaaaaat just happened?’ The damage is ludicrous for doing effectively nothing. Nike put out a video where he hit 34k burn ticks on one of the raid bosses (bigger hitbox so it’s situational.) But I was in rampagers initially and hit ~10k burns and 10k bleeds on the zerg hero challenge under Tarir.
The general consensus is that revenant is pretty much the most OP thing about the expansion.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Marauder_Intricate_Gossamer_Insignia
If you’re looking for cheap, I’d mix n match dungeon/karma armor to get the stats you want. If you’ve played much at all, that stuff is effectively free, and stuff like rabid is fine for open world and WvW, etc.
Pocket raptors are probably my favourite critter in the jungle. The more the merrier, I say.
I actually wouldn’t mind a pocket raptor adventure, where you got to play as your character and just faced an unending horde of them. That would be so much fun.
You can get cele trinkets from various sources. For armor, you need to craft it. If you have the money, I would at least evaluate making ascended celestial gear, because both version use charged quartz crystals, which are timegated and a massive pain to come by. It may not be worth it at all to you, but consider it.
The other option is pick effectively random gear so it comes out balanced. Like soldiers coat, magi pants, assassin weapon, etc.
HPs are possibly challenging to solo, but if you have 2 or 3 players it becomes pretty easy.
The only 2 I can think of I have not yet solo’d are the frog champ in SW VB, and the vampire one in the canopy.
Well if you want a silly yet fairly appropriate name, you could name her Bao Wolf.
Not only that rsimoes, but every TP transaction is a gold sink, so I would guess it’s going to accelerate itself.
From the wiki:
Names
Most norn follow a Northern European or Viking-style first name system, though some like the famous explorer Captain Romke and his crew have Dutch and Frisian names.
Their surnames can vary in a multitude of styles. Norn without any achievements or legends have surnames after one of their parents (father/mother’s first name followed by -sson or -sdottir or a variant thereof); this is most commonly seen in children, and they’re named after the more famous of their parents even if they do not like said parent (e.g., Braham Eirsson). Surnames do not get adopted from generation to generation and they can be changed by the individual to fit their own personal legend (e.g., a famous Wolfborn member took the surname Wolfsdottir); married couples may not always share surnames either (though some may, e.g., Knut and Gaerta Whitebear). Some norn may also take titles instead of a surname if it fits them and their legend more (e.g., Borje the Sun Chaser).
Color blindness covers a colossal range of troubles. The one thing that AFAIK all color blind people have in common is that we see shades really well. I can’t tell apart the green and red pheromones at triple trouble (red and orange? whatever the colors are, I have no idea without reading them) because their shade is extremely similar. But if one were black and one were white it couldn’t possibly be a problem for any type of color blindness. If a red is very dark (RGB 160-15-10) and a green is very light (RGB 200-225-0), I think all levels and types of color blindness can tell those apart.
Basically: contrast.
Crimson I get what you’re saying. A new player posted something looked really suspicious to me, and having been playing since beta there isn’t a lot of anet accepted stuff I’ve never heard of. Other games are fine with 3rd party stuff, GW, not so much. So rather than wait for him to get his newly purchased game banned, I asked him if it was 3rd party software and told him anet will readily perma ban for that.
I’ve done this before, and I have saved people’s accounts. Tons of new players don’t know anet’s stance because no one reads the terms and don’t realize how serious they are about banning people. Better safe on my part than sorry on his part.
What I don’t understand is why someone saw me trying to inform a new player of this policy and immediately was off the charts rude in multiple posts. I just don’t understand that thought process. What kind of community attacks people trying to protect others? I would post my response again 100% of the time.
The variation of half the thread getting it immediately and half the thread spending hours grinding it is very weird.
Pocket raptors don’t knockdown though.
You’d probably need to turn autoattack off on greatsword to have a good chance at intentionally lining that up. The pulse on the revenant facet is only once every 3 seconds. Probably toss in 2-handed training as well, and I think you’re just randomly mauling and hoping for the best. Also I don’t think it really depends on weapon, since maul is our only non-plinky attack that could benefit from this. Maybe PoS with quickdraw on 2 offhand axes or something.
I feel like there are too many drawbacks to win out on damage in the long run.
I think you have to account for already having 100% crit and 25 vuln, at least a good bit of the time, so that part isn’t as exciting.
