I was playing GW2 everyday, mainly WvW. I haven’t logged in in 3 days now. My matchup is a blowout as expected when you’re paired with a server 5 ranks higher. They also always have 2-3 stacks of bloodlust. Previously, we might have had a blowout, but I could at least have some fun trying to do some small man roaming and avoiding the enemy zerg as best as possible. Now, however, the fights are too unbalanced. I’ve lost all interest in even attempting it.
Without WvW, I have no interest in doing the daily chore, or throwing my body against Teq in the hopes one day we’ll get him down below 80% and I can get that blue and green item I’ve always wanted.
I suppose it’s possible I’d comeback after they revert the bloodlust changes and stop the madness that is the leagues… but I doubt it. Fact of the matter is they’ve already demonstrated the complete and utter lack of respect for their own community. Doesn’t exactly make me eager to boot your game back up again.

This pretty much mirrors my feelings on wvw now. Im disgusted that the wvw team is waiting for a population decline before they make any changes to the bloodlust buff.

Its about perceived fairness and limiting excuses.

The buffs didn’t need to be added, but some bonehead thought it was a great idea to bring them back.

Its free to play.

Stop playing until they improve it. Forum posters are to be ignored and don’t reflect the population playing the game… or at least thats what a little birdie told me.

They will not address it. To do so will validate it.

The wheels are falling off this puppy and the pvp community will move to a more welcoming environment. Being funnelled in to a crappy game mode in order to make it popular isn’t going to retain population.

I think it would be better if people left SOR and BG to come down to you, rather than the other way around.

Something that would help is if map caps were lowered and it forced people to spread out more. Wishful thinking though.

I can’t wait to see the outcome of these changes.

In a sick way I want the bloodlust buffs to be so successful it mimicks the failure of the orbs and servers completely steamroll the others into not playing.

But even then, I doubt it would change the mindset of the people responsible for the direction of WVW. Perhaps landslide victories and uneven battles is the goal, which I have to say, will totally turn off players.

On the flip side, if the buffs are a hassle for people to capture and maintain at the expense of defending things on their map like camps, towers and keeps, then the question I would have is, why would it even be implemented.

I don’t know why JQ is desperate for transfers, they look fine in 2nd and 3rd every week.

If anything people should be moving away from tier 1 in order to use all their abilities and unblob. Unless of course they are bad players that require the assistance of 40-80 other players to prevent their deaths.

In a related note, I am really enjoying the fights against both BG and JQ. The loot bags are just as good as tier 2 ones, only there are a lot more to pick up.

I believe it would take a high number of man hours to program a way to turn this ability on and off. Its a great idea, but may not be in the budget or timeline for Anet.

We like your coattails JQ. Its the only way we get to praise ourselves, and we enjoy the table scraps from the tier 1 super servers of epic awesomeness. We wouldn’t be able to hold a camp if you didn’t keep BG in check all the time.

We’re sorry that you have to stay in tier 1 to be honest. It’s not that great.

The orb buff in the past completely ruined matches. The blowouts were so enormous and the hacking to attain them was so bad that they were removed.

Obviously Anet didn’t learn their lesson last time around.

Its stupid for people to accept a stat buff that will contribute to snowballing matchups, all in order to spite GVG players. It’s extremely narrow minded.

Not in its present form. I like the points for stomps, but the stat buffs are not needed. Snowballing will happen again just like the original orbs.

FA has got a small SEA population, so against a server with a large SEA population that flips everything to paper on us and has all 3 buffs before NA logs on , it will be a difficult task to push back. It is a measure of coverage, nothing else.
