Currently, it looks that way. But best to consider this question 6 weeks from now when the answer is less cloudy.

Using New York as the base timezone

Oceanic really starts around 4 am to 8 am
SEA starts around 8 am to 12 pm
NA would start around 12 pm to 12am
EU would start around 12 am to 4 am

There are offcourse many variables, including weekend or weekday and multiple overlaps

BG will always play hard and get hyped. SoR will play the same as if nothing happened. JQ is DEAD.

Not so much dead but declining, there is a solid core that will remain there after the bandwagoners jump ship – as is what happens to most t1 (rank 1) servers, look at what happened to HoD or SoS as an example. I have a lot of respect for the guilds that are sticking by their guns on JQ (SF et al), and wish the best for them in the future.

Pls point me to the so called bandwagoners. You did get one thing correct, that JQ has a core set of players. It is why we have the most medals. It is the work of Champions.

I just want to say that I think SoR as a server has worked really hard this week and if you guys win I think it will be well deserved. I’m not trying to take anything away from what SoR has accomplished and even though I’m naturally disappointed that BG isn’t having a great week I actually think this week has been a lot of fun pvp-wise. I’ve definitely had a lot of fun fights when I’ve gone into WvW. I’m not trying to inject negativity into the thread I’m just saying that I find some of the rhetoric a little tiresome.

I think SOR was the lowest ranked server of all three to rise this far. Somehow with just one coverage that happened to be during primetime NA hours we have managed to stay at T1 for this long. This in itself was a huge accomplishment and that persistence is starting to pay off as we slowly added quality guilds to our ranks.

I have Kindda given up on waiting for any ascended stat items bought with badges. So now i have to waste 20% of my short precious WvW time on just doing dailies.

IMO, i highly doubt they will ever do so because Fractals are really popular and they do not want to shoot themselves in the foot.

Arcana is impossible to not use in any builds. Arcane shielding,evasive arcana is a life saver with attunement and air 10 aura zeph boon because with long boon duration , things are really fun. 0/10/0/30/30 is really the only viable trait in ele.

1) If you guys are still discussing how that AC was hitting behind the gates at south hills… an AC below where you build a treb to hit lake tower can hit there behind south hills gate. Pretty standard tactic in tier 1 to clear out siege at south hills.

2) DB please please take this time to point out and educate some of your guys coming into the Tier 1 thread about how DB will come storming in, on how the rating system works.

Yeah, this dude knows what’s up. Even if we tick 300+ for most of the day (which is probably unlikely from here on out) we’ll still be in T2 for a few more weeks at least. 50+k wins It’s actually probably more likely at this point that a T1 server (dare I say, might it actually be JQ?) will drop down than it is DB will advance. If that happens, we’ll get eaten alive. The only way we’d have a chance in T1 right now is to improve our team builds, TS usage, and to become more diligent about following commanders in battle. A zerg who sends 5+ to burst down individual stragglers will soon find itself back at spawn.

Maintaining +50k isn’t a guarantee of moving up. The way the glicko system works is that you are, in some respects, fighting against your past selves. If you win two weeks by +50k, and you win the next week by +40k, chances are your glicko rating is going to DROP, not RISE that week.

Maintaining a +50k average will probably not end up pushing you up a tier, unless a server in the tier above does badly, consistently. At a +50k average, and with a stable tier above, you will just hit a sort-of equilibrium in the tier you’re in where your +50k wins aren’t actually increasing your rating.

Glicko is more complex than it seems from the initial glance. Moving up a tier pretty much requires a server to lay waste to the tier they’re in for two weeks, and often times that won’t even be enough if the tier above them is evenly matched and consistent. This was the case for a long time in T8/T7.

More folks need to read your comment cause you nailed it. I can assure you that T1 is extremly competitive right now 24/7 on all 3 servers. SoR population has really grown and BG population is slightly higher than JQ.

Yea, DB is going to need to get alot more than the current 1 they are gaining atm to break into tier 1.

Dragonband-wagon server will,like every other band wagon server, crash and implode. For this reason is why i much appreciate the competition that SoR has brought to the table.

A group of players is around 4 to 8 people

A mini zerg is when there are less than 15 people

A zerg ranges from around 25 to 50 with mega zergs around 70 number.

A blob is usually hard to exact a number as their main strategy is to run a Melee train on the player steam rolling anything that crosses their path. It can be done with as low as 8 players but usally around 25 players.

In conclusion , a Blob has less players than a typical zerg during reset hours.

Speed hacking has been around in all MMOs for more than a decade now. Hard to catch but easy to pinout and requires the hacker to actually speed hack to get caught.

I find it doubtful if he meant $9,000. We know right now that the problem is limited to much by CPU utilization, not taking advantage of all cores and as such being limited by a single game thread and which ever core it’s running on. Now if he said over all I might believe it, but he claimed WvW ZvZ, and that I just have to call BS on.

Can you confirm is the game is running on just 1 thread per core and not 2/per core? If so, that would be a real problem.

But take note that a good number of players play different classes so ranks may not exactly equate to skill.

i7 4ghz, 460 × 2 SLI, 8gb ram, fiber optics internet connection and I still get bad FPS drops.

The point the OP is making is right. If one can play crysis 3 at high fps then I should be able to run gw2 in wvw
