And you can get the extra influence by using the Guild +20% influence in dungeons. Only cost 200 influence to make and if it’s a full guild run you’ll more than make that up.

Another idea for the LFG would be if you are in a major city and form a group for a Dungeon through the LFG tool , the party leader could teleport the group to the nearest waypoint to the dungeon for a reduced fee.

I remember when Anet gave us the ability to save builds in GW they were saved Client side. Made it easier to trade builds and took pressure off the game server.

It worked great in Gw why not use it for GW2? And yes I remember running around Ascelon in Drok’s armor after having gotten a Drok’s run. I also had some nice Stormbow’s that I used at lvl 5. This is what we talk about when we say Skill < Gear.

3. Trade/LFG channels: These were great because it encouraged the social aspect of the game and if you didn’t want to see all the spam when in a big town you could just turn it off.

The game promotes Social aspect playing with out this feature. With that said, it would be nice to have a dedicated channel to filter out the clutter and spam we have from Map chat. Also Lift the restriction for amount of post, it is hard to sit in front of Sarrows Embrace or lion’s arch and spam for a Dungeon when after 5 post I get locked out for 5 minutes. Or Implement a Dungeon Finder that allows players to see who wants to do “X” dungeon and add to party form there. ( not a WoW auto que teleport to dungeon system)

I think what you are talking about with the Dungeon Finder is what Anet implemented in the mission hubs for GW. You could que up in the LFG finder and add to your party from it. Made it a lot easier to get groups for missions and you had less chat spam.

I’d rather see what we had in GW. We could save builds and switch to them in any city. Heck i’d even go with a respect fee if we had the ability to save builds.

Heroes may seem like a good idea but when they were added to GW in Nightfall, it went from a CoRPG to a solo game except for PvP. The 8-12 man End-game areas in GW were where you found the hard to find weapon skins and the ecto and other materials needed for some of the high end armor skins.

But you do get a Hero in the Story-line quests. You get your warband member in the Charr starting quests, Logan in Human, Caithe for Sylvari, etc. You get your mentor for the Vigil, Orders, and Priory quests and you get Traherne for the rest of your story-line.

NO, one of the reasons I left GW was because Heroes made the game a single-player game and not a CoRPG like it was at the beginning. Adding Heroes would destroy the MMO aspect of this game. It’s already hard enough to do group content(besides DE’s) with other players if you aren’t in a big guild. Heroes would make grouping obsolete for anything but PvP.

I have no problem with Raids/larger group content as long as the rewards are hard to get skins and not a new tier of gear. This game is about skill over gear not kitten cause you have the latest tier of armor.

There are quite a few features that were in Guild Wars that are not in the game now. Most of these features are ones that just make things easier for guilds and groups.

1. Dungeon/Mission size progression: In GW you started out with 4-man missions and worked up to 8-man missions. In Factions you upped it to 12-man with Urgoz’s Warren and The Deep.

2. Alliance chat: In Factions you gave us Alliance chat. This was great for small guilds as it allowed us to group with other small guilds to do Missions/Dungeons and still retain our guilds identity.

3. Trade/LFG channels: These were great because it encouraged the social aspect of the game and if you didn’t want to see all the spam when in a big town you could just turn it off.

4. Hard to find weapon/armor skins: I loved this. It was the best part of GW because it kept everyone on a even playing field and made the game about builds/skill and not about getting the next tier of gear.

5. Last login in Guild Window: This feature is a must bring back. Not knowing the last time a guildie logged in when you have 50/50 slots filled and would like to add a new member without upping the max members is a pain. Couple this with people being able to represent multiple guilds and it’s just hard to determine who is active and who isn’t in a guild now.

6. First-Person view: for screenshots and just those who prefer it.

7. Skill usage on enemies: This is a must for PvP. I played a Mesmer in Gw for HoH and GvG and being able to see the skill someone was using was a must. Hard to interrupt a big skill when you don’t know it’s being cast.

7. Hall of Heroes PvP/GvG: The 8v8 PvP from GW was the best. With HoH you can make it the 3 worlds that are battling in WvWvW are able to compete in teams of 8 against each other in HoH. Maybe make a reward of extra seige weapon in WvWvW for which server controls HoH. GvG can be tournament style like in GW.

These are just a few off the top of my head and I’m sure there are more. Feel free to add any I missed.

I’m surprised that you can’t join sPvP in groups less than 5. That “other MMO” actually based their arenas from Guild Wars 4v4 Team Arenas. You could join as a 2,3, or 4-man team and if you didn’t have a team you would be paired w/ a team. Also if you did Random Arena and your random team won 5 matches you would then move up to the Team Arena matches automatically.

I’d also like to see Anet bring back Hall of Heroes matches and GvG in PvP. It was the biggest thing in GW that kept people playing.

I’d like to see them implement a skins system like DCUO has. You obtain the skin and it is saved as a “style”. You can then switch to that style at your leisure. There would be ‘styles’ for each armor piece. Would be nice if you could obtain “style” sets like you can get full armor sets.

I say bring back “evolution” and the Zaishen Menagerie. And while they’re at it they can make the evolution unlockable like they did in GW. Would make it easier for PvP players to get the pet/evolution they want.

No No No. The dwarves sacrificed themselves and end of EotN to save Tyria. Making them a playable race would cheapen that. If you want another Race, then I would say it’ll be the Tengu. I’d even go for Centaur. I say these because the are two of the longest running races in Tyria. They’ve been around since Prophecies.

Raids - A Reason to log in!

Instead of Raids, bring back Fow And UW. Make them 8-man parties just like they were in GW. Also while you’re at it, bring back HoH and GvG pls. That was all the end-game we needed in Prophecies and it was all still going strong in EotN.

I’d like to see the old GW pet evolution put in place. Dire, Aggressive, Elder, Playful, and Hearty. And with the same perks/drawbacks that they had in GW too.

I’m sure Anet is working on a Build saving UI element. They had one in GW so would not be hard for them to do one for GW2. They also gave us the ability to move UI elements around in GW such as where the map is and moving the weapon selection box. I’m sure it is something that they are considering/working on, but there are still bugs and other stuff that will take precedence over them.

My big ones are the MotD in chat when you login or it gets changed and being able to see last time a guildie logged in and represented.

Please bring back the option to select a PvE or PvP only character during character creation. This feature was one of the best ones for PvPers in Guild Wars. I know all you have to do is go through the starting instance but it is a PitA when you just wanna switch to a different class for PvP.
