You could always just buy extra panes(30 slots) for 600 gems. You can have up to 8 panes.
You mean bank sections? I have them maxed. That is what the whole thread is about lol, I want to buy more sections. Theres even a blank space where 2 more would fit.
You will be featured on the show… “Hoarders.”
You have more than enough duplicates of certain items that you can really just through them away. :T
I don’t understand why you don’t use them. (if you do well shoot junk it!)
I’ve been using these items for months They just regenerate, I suppose it could be because I buy 50-100 BL keys a month…. And to junk stuff I paid $ for.. That is just silly :p 11 characters hold at least 2 each of the 3 types of gathering tools. 3 for the sickles because someone decided 10 stack was ok >.>
I am with you.. I keep everything :P Husband gives me a hard time but I may need that stuff lol. A closet of some sort would help me out a ton though.
Or add the skin/armor closet to our “home instance” lol
GW1 had a nice festival hat system. You show the hat to an NPC who remembers it and can make the same hat from then on.
That would be cool here heh
I prefer because it the only thing this game doesn’t have that I can’t get over. Just a little mini-nerdrage I like to keep to myself. Consider me arking up like a farmer who has just lost his favourite spot
Luckily my spots are many, and my patience is of epic proportions lol. Hence why i can buy 300 uni dies just for a photo op lols
It would be nice if we could get a Skins Locker of some sorts for PvE. Definitely would save up some space I have with all these outfits:
And that’s JUST the outfits, not all the tokens people store etc. There is just so many little things now, we need generic storage for certain things like tokens/skins we will be holding onto for long periods of time.
Could be worse lol…
Omg…!
Individual storage for characters. Are there any other games that don’t have it?
I don’t really like individual storage aside from just inventory. A quest/event storage like Aion or other games have would help. But as far as account bound stuff, and soul bound stuff when it comes to having 11+ alts, I would just like a bigger bank. Saves me gold and time.
They increased server capacity for the 2nd? time since I started. Don’t tell the doomsayers, they might start to think their wrong.
Could be worse lol…
Man my colorblind eyes could make a mess out of that
Lol, just imagine how much fun I’m having with “error attempting to sell” >.>
Could be worse lol…
Thx for supporting RNG chests so we will be sure to get more in the future…………………………
Anytime Enjoyed every drop I got lol And since I have the money for the “optional” content it produces, I have no regrets
My 4 fused tickets outfit my Charr and Asura well, 10 characters left to outfit with cool skins not from TP.

WTH 119 crystals + 115 repair :|
Did you buy them? If not RNG really sucks :V
I buy a “few” keys from time to time lol.
Character Slot > Bank Slot for storage. 4 X 12 or 15 + 20 for a Character Slot. Bank Slot is 30 spaces
I don’t want to have to log in to a character to get my stuff… I want it account wide to be able to be seen/taken/used. My bank slots have been maxed for 5 months. I use bank expresses often, and I swap characters often at times, I don’t want to have to keep track of what items are where on my account. Thus the purpose of the bank.

I really hope they introduce a storage locker of some sort for, at least, your costumes but also ideally your extra armor and maybe even weapons.
We could use a “quest” inventory, the BL gathering stuff could be changed to stack higher or together, and LS items need an event bag or something separate. In 2-4 months we will have double the special items/equipment etc than we have now by the looks of it. Would be nice to be prepared. Not to mention baubles and stuff we have to hold onto for a year lol
(edited by Geotherma.2395)
Geez, louise. Enough stuff there?
Lol.
There is more in my bank lol…. And now we have hats and crafting stuff and mystic forge tables etc etc etc.. It just needs to be bigger lol.
(edited by Geotherma.2395)
you can just creat another character and use it as mule. So account bound item isnt a problem.
Main problem is probably soul bound item.
I cant.. I have 12 characters, I’m actually playing them all. I don’t have “mules” and those characters have skins for themselves as well. Each and every one. Skins, soulbound items, future skins. And my mains have maxxed bag space.

In other words, we are virtually going into negative supply flow at the rate it is being used than the rate it is being “created”, so to speak.
Not long ago, sell order supply was nearly 0 and now it’s nearly 5000 units. It’s also been said that the dust is used in many crafting/forge recipes, do you have data on how much is sold and how much is consumed each day? You seem to be making a lot of assumptions based on little evidence.
From what I see there has been some manipulation of the market by opportunists, plus a drop in the number of people gathering the dust which led to an increase in price. This in turn leads to the dumping of hoarded supplies by those same opportunists, and an increase in gathering by people who notice the higher price, which leads to an increase in supply.
In the words of one of recent history’s greatest philosophers, “Don’t Panic.”
EDIT: Stretching the graph back to February, 5k seems to be around the ‘sweet spot’. Comparing now to March/April, I’m wondering if/when the bubble goes pop.
And to throw on another anecdote, Cursed Shore was hoppin’ again last night on TC.
You know, they do the temples almost every several hours on my server to, and when I run with them there are always a few people who ask what happened to the loot, cause you leave Orr with almost nothing but the loot you get from the temple chests and some porous bones, might have a few heavy moldy bags, but you dont get much from just a few bags. All the events in Orr have been nerfed and all the mobs loot tables have been nerfed and anyone that tries to say differently is either an Anet employee or delusional.
Thanks for posting that Uruz. Maybe people will stop saying I don’t know what I’m talking about now. Less fun for me, but probably better overall for the forums. lol
That post proves nothing except how expensive T6 dust is. The only place to Acquire it is in Orr and if you go there and try and farm it from risen, all they pretty much drop is porous bones cause Anet has nerfed the crap out of the place and no one goes there anymore except to do Temples.
It proves the price has already started going down. It will continue to go down as more people go back to Orr. I’m not sure why a drop in price should be ignored, just because it doesn’t agree with your personal theory.
Because if the price continues to decline people won’t be able to blame anet anymore and all the name calling will have been for nothing. What a terrible thought :P
39s 50c I’m waiting for this decline so you tell me when it happens okay….
All I see is a bunch of “Anet is making events to raise the price on dust”, sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? Cause it is. And then on top of that a mysterious supply was added. Seriously? My god if this is the state of mind of “logical” people on these forums, I seriously worry for your well being. I can’t believe so many people are such conspiracy theorists, it just astonishes me. Feel like I’m reading the Zeitgeist forums… And PS for the people who obviously don’t get how DR works, it isn’t just being in an area for one hour, holy kittens and quaggans whats wrong with people.
I don’t know who said anything about Anet “making events to raise the price of dust” We are talking about Anet nerfing the events in Orr and the loot tables of all the mobs in Orr so that pretty much no one wants to go there anymore except to do the temples and leave.
Someone mentioned that arenanet is controlling the price by pushing people to other areas for the event on purpose..
And yes, if I remember, i will let you know when it drops
Also! I’m hoping for a check soon from some old stuff I’m owed, if it is before the 11th I will sit in Orr for 20 hours and put down the mf bonfires and omnomberry trays to quell these ridiculous theories about how it is all anets fault the dust is high. It is clear to me and others what is really happening here, and it is not the devs fault for it. I’d keep banners up all day but I transferred to a busier server and lost my upgrades WTB guild transfer tickets..
Now that we have had several months of updates, content, items all over the gem store could we get more available spaces for banks? You can’t store account bound/soulbound items in personal guild banks, so that’s out. And many of us have 8+ toons who have gear sets or random fun stuff. So I, on behalf of all the hoarders in GW2 would like to request more bank spaces
Thanks,
Asura with too many cute hats..
No place to put all this stuff…

I really like the idea of this event. It’s like all races of Tyria come together to celebrate the defeat of Zhaitan. Try to imagine how they felt when Zhaitan fell. No one believed it was possible to take down an Elder Dragon. But they did it!
So here is my small tribute:
Dragon Bash Festival Song
This world has lived in shadow from a pair of demons wings,
But none here fear the future or the darkness that it brings.
The monster puts on quite a show expecting us to yield,
But there’s just one course of action when we take up sword and shieldBash the Dragon, Smash the Dragon
drive it right back into its den,
Bash the Dragon, Smash the Dragon
May It never rises up again,

It isn’t WoW that GW2 has to worry about. I got a video too.
Lol the perfect response to this is Alex L’s comment
It is going to go down soon, supply will rise and price will lower. And people can stop screaming the sky is falling without doing any research for themselves…
Tired of hearing these casual vs hardcore debates.
Casuals make up a majority of the player base, buy the fluff on the gem store, and pay for the bulk of new updates.
Hardcores push the content, force developers to make and develope new content, and are more proactive in identifying game issues.
A successful game needs both sets of players.
That is true, but ANet don’t give a crap about hardcore that’s why the whole debate thing going on right now. GW2 is so far 100% casual with no challenging content.
Fractals and ascended gear don’t exist I guess. And any dungeon that isn’t cof p1. Your right, 100% casual, no challenging things at all.
Dust should be the cheapest T6 material by far, based on its uses in game.
You need dust to convert T5 mats and cores. However, what is most personally bothersome to me is that crafting sharpening stones/artificer crystals or potions is just no longer an option.
I would like to make consumables for myself and friends, but the prices on dust mean that it is no longer feasible.
I remember when I used to constantly have both food and potions up… it’s sad that those days are long over.
They are selling for around 11 silver right now. The materials needed as I’m sure you know are 1 pile of crystaline dust, and 1 orichalcum ingot. The dust can still be farmed instead of bought, it simply isn’t being done as much now because of the event + slowed spawn times of camps. If you farm the ori and the dust each craft makes 5 stones. For 1 dust + 2 ori ores you make 5 Superior Sharpening Stones worth 11 silver each, 55 silver total. Dust now is about 39/40 silver. If you bought one, which would be a terrible idea to make profit at any time during the game, it would cost say 40 silver. 2 Ori ores is around 8 silver, that’s 48 silver total if you foolishly buy all the mats to craft.
So again, it would cost 48 silver to make 5 stones, you sell for 55 silver. It isn’t a great deal either way, but I’m not seeing it as being impossible. But the rule of thumb is to farm mats yourself for crafts, and not to buy them.
For more exact numbers: http://www.gw2spidy.com/recipe/5401
Uh farming the mats yourself is similar to just buying the mat. It isn’t foolish to buy mats for crafting.
It amazes me how people ignore opportunity cost in gw2.
So for example if dust was 1g, you would consider it ok to make sharpening stones that sold for 11s each as long as you farmed the dust yourself?
Remember that buyers don’t pay TP tax, only sellers do. So if you buy dust at 48 silver added 2 ori orr and made your sharpening stones you are saving money over the current TP price. However because of the 15% TP tax there is a very small margin to make a profit buying and crafting the item for sale. Meaning that if you were farming dust, you are better off just selling the dust instead of crafting it for stones. But you are totally ok buying dust to craft it for stones you are going to use.
If you craft, generally you farm your own mats, you make more then buying and making. This is generally common sense, and practice. If you want direct money you sell mats, if you want to supply the economy with a wanted item you make it. If dust was 1g it would make more sense to sell it yes, if your end goal was to make money. But that is the economy and personal choice. It is no where near that level yet and probably never will be.
Skinner Box nonsense …
Wish people would stop throwing that term around as if it automatically validates their argument.
However a primary aspect of the Skinner Box is that it doesn’t reward every attempt; rather it rewards sporadically, thus making the arbitrary reward feel more significant, and reinforcing the compulsion to repeat the desired behavior.
And yet these boxes DO reward SOMETHING every single time. Skinner box does NOT reward SOMETHING EVERY single time. The arbitrary reward in that experiment was still a reward, it was NO reward VS varying rewards as a reward/no reward scenario.
Now we’re getting into personal definitions here. Let’s back up just a bit and define reward.
Now obvisouly a reward is a bonus for doing something. However within this context what we’re really talking about is a “desired reward.” For example if you’re a thief in Guild Wars 2 then you can’t use rifles, so a rifle while technically being a viable reward for content, and does technically have some value, it isn’t something most thief players want. They would rather have a dagger or shortbow. As such, within the context, a dagger or shortbow would be a reward, and a rifle would be what we MMO players like to call “vender trash.”
It is the same thing as winning a free ticket on a scratch off lottery ticket; yes you technically won something, but it isn’t what you wanted nor useful, it has no personal value to you, and so you’re not likely to be happy about it. However what it does is make you keep playing, in hopes of getting the right reward. This is the primary way MMO gear progression tries to pretend that it isn’t a Skinner Box; it does technically give you something nearly every time. However in the mind of the player, in their personal contextualization of the scenario, they were not rewarded and as such the artificial significance of the arbitrary reward they want is maintained. Or in some cases amplified.
Edited-
The desired reward IS a personal want/desire, one chosen among a plethora of options. You still get a reward each time you open the box, you do not get closer to that reward over time, you do not have an end goal. Each time you click you activate the pseudo random or random number generation. Each time you do say your odds are the same as the last, they are not considerably better by buying 10 or 100. You do gain a better chance at “hitting” a win because your amount is simply higher, but you do not get a guarantee. One could simply theoretically win the lottery by buying every ticket, some can even be won using mathematical concepts or loopholes in the system itself. RNG is a fair and unfair thing, which in the end makes it unbiased. I still say your textbook definition is not represented here in the game, edited my post to clarify that better.
You mentioned I was making it my personal definition, when in fact changing the definition to your opinion of how it is interpreted would be the same exact thing. I’ve studied the skinner box theory, and this is close but not word for word nor is it the same experiment that people seem to think it is. It is one of the most commonly mistaken theory’s out there, people have a serious issue with creating their own version of what it means. Which I suppose is our psychological and analytic way of examining someone elses work. But either way is still inaccurate,
The odds of success and the fairness of the system are of no consequence. The basic fact remains; you are repeating the same simple task compulsively for an uncertain and arbitrary reward. I respect your opinions, but not your denial. As long as you are repeating the same tasks for some reward given after an uncertain number of attempts, and this behavior is intended to breed compulsion, it is a Skinner Box.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolutionary_psychology
I recommend some research, I won’t argue someones denial who calls something a thing it is not. It is pointless to further argue when it is clear what the truth is. Specifications are set, they are not met in this condition, they are not met in this environment. Building on to a theory and advancing it does NOT EQUAL the exact theory itself. But carry on, it’s your game. It is only a skinner box by your own volition.

An experiment on behavior based on varying amounts of reward, rather than reward to no reward, could vary well prove entirely different results. Probably based in psychology and the human need to repeat actions, addictions, obsessive compulsive types with varying degrees, and would have such huge biases it might not be a tangible experiment at all. The most accurate science removes all outside variables and since we have no way of knowing 100% that someones mind is free of OCD, addictive behavior, or other psychological/mental problems, no true conclusion can be drawn from what the outcome of RNG style boxes is on an indeterminate amount of test subjects.
A “textbook” skinner box would be a black lion chest that gave items only sometimes, gave only some reward sometimes and no reward AT ALL at other times. This device/idea doesn’t exist in the current boxes of any type in game. Next people will be calling event chests skinner boxes.
People can call it gambling, they are wrong. People can call it “textbook” skinner box, they are also wrong. If a bird is a bird call it a bird, if an egg is an egg call it an egg. Don’t call the egg a bird simply because it has a bird inside of it.

My personal guild with just me in it has guild missions unlocked. But hey, I guess it’s impossible.
He didn’t say it was impossible. You’re better than that, Geo.
I think what’s more relevant is what kinds of resources did it take to get those missions unlocked? What’s left of my small guild currently has zero.
I tossed in extra change over a 3 month period. But now there is bounty training which gives influence, so it is even easier to get more influence and less costly :P
PS there is a new forum for guild bounty’s, I’m sure people post there when they are having runs etc. Heck if people wanted to come to NSP and use mine just to do bounty’s I wouldn’t care, but it wouldn’t get them guild merits or w.e for their own guild, that’s the only difference.
My perception is less updates. We haven’t had a real lasting content patch in several months now. The game is getting stale, we need updates and bug fixes.
We need a rework of world drop rates and the ability to get items from killing monsters reliably too, a lot of us have been waiting months for these updates.
I give them a B-, because at least it’s not as slow as other games, but even with patches every month they seem hollow and empty of any substance.
So Guild missions aren’t real content. Gotcha.
Nope, not for small guilds. Will never see them. Well maybe in 6 months we can unlock a few. Plus it’s not content I or anyone else in the guild is excited for or wants to do.
So what else have they added again? Keep trying.
My personal guild with just me in it has guild missions unlocked. But hey, I guess it’s impossible.
I’m very picky, ill admit that, but I don’t think it’s TOO picky to think the wings flap way too frequently? Maybe have them stay still for at least 2 seconds? Still look awesome. Guna get them for my warrior
. Also, can’t get “Bash the dragons, bash the dragons!” out of my head! xD
Started watching the video-
Brain: Oh look GW2 dragon bashing and old time music.
Eyes: Wow skyrim really changed a lot.
Then I got lost in a train of thought about Felicia Day in Supernatural playing as the RPing queen in a made up castle town.. Starting to think I have ADD lol
Moa horse race lol. Do I get to be one?
Anyway… mini dragon pet?
The Moa race is a betting game taking inspiration from the 9-rings style betting mini-games from the original festivals in Gw1, but with a little more action involved for each round of bets. The bonus: this activity will remain in the game permanently in Lion’s Arch after the Dragon Bash festival ends.
You don’t get to be a Moa for this specific activity, though you never know what might pop up in future festivals! As one of the people who built roller beetle racing I’d love to see its spiritual successor in Gw2 someday, we might need to wait for beetles to pop up in game though
Actually you know what this sounds like to me? Sounds like the Moa racing came from your friends at NcSoft, they had it in their game Lineage 2.
Any thoughts on the bug fixes that Anthony is working on??? lol.
Actually racing birds has been around in hundreds of games, FF7 had chocobo racing, and they look very similar to Moa. There is also real life ostrich racing, and other types of racing. Not all ideas come from other MMO’s some are just cultural or pure ideas. Although real moa are extinct, have been for a long time. I can’t remember what chocobos are based off of, ostrich or something else entirely, but you can ride an ostrich so long as you aren’t too heavy or large :P

All the cool stuff you keep adding by not announcing it :P
There are about 20 things in game that weren’t in patch notes, that were good improvements. And now you have more specialized forums for different topics that have been asked for forever. Are you being modest? Is it like hide and seek? Do we win something when we find these unmentioned things?! Is this the precursor scavenger hunt?!
I’m watchen you….. You think you are sly.. But I’ll catch your hidden cool updates my pretties, and your little quaggans too!
What are these cool things that were not in the patch notes. The forums don’t count. I found them by watching the dev tracker.
The new fire rings weren’t in patch notes. Some people noticed color enhancements/changes in titles or overall display. (The second one I’m not sure of but seems different to me too.) The forums count for me because there are many new forums that I remember people asking for, and theirs no announcement to show they exist. Some of us don’t check the main forum section passed the first few sections. There are more but I just woke up so.. Thats all your getting out of me.
All the cool stuff you keep adding by not announcing it :P

I’m watchen you….. You think you are sly.. But I’ll catch your hidden cool updates my pretties, and your little quaggans too!
Trehearne shows up and slaps you in the face … every day, forever, even after you uninstall the game.
No, no, you get it all wrong. You get Caladbolg – and then Trahaerne shows up and takes it from you.
You finally get a tinfoil hat, then Colin comes and takes it from you smiling as he walks away. :P
You guys just argue back and forth and back and forth. Elitists are ruining GW2, casuals are ruining GW2. you know whats ruining GW2? People who can’t stay the long haul, people who give up so easily on something because it isn’t perfect.
Because people can’t get mats, people think Anet nerfed the mats. When in actuality it is because people simply aren’t there in Orr now, and rather in Southsun. But people would rather believe Anet nerfed the drop rate rather than stick with pure logic, it is ridiculous. I’d rather people leave than listen to this garbage, so many games like Aion are so much worse and despicable representations of MMO’s, and yet here were are in forums about how terrible GW2 is when it is the only MMO that has tried new things and tried to cater to the changes in style of MMO players. I’m not some brainwashed fanboy trying to pump up the game, I simple call for peace and honesty and intelligence. Which seems to be the least common commodity in this game right now. I swear I’m not calling everyone stupid, but seriously when is the last time someone posted something remotely helpful that isn’t a black and white representation of either hatred or love for the game? Is there no median? Is there no discussion to be had among the populous? It just disheartens me to know that so many people young and old find more fun in berating others than fixing a simple problem in something so trivial and yet so enjoyable as an MMO.
“so many games like Aion are so much worse and despicable representations of MMO’s, and yet here were are in forums about how terrible GW2 is when it is the only MMO that has tried new things and tried to cater to the changes in style of MMO players. "
Man nothing against you Geotherma, I enjoy discussing things on the forums but I don’t want to see GW2 turn into Aion but it’s hard not to fear NCsoft doing just that
I love GW2 and have a lot of fun but I want to do all I can from to keep NCsoft from ruining it more than it has…
I don’t think NC soft/Nexon is evil, I just don’t like a product(game) with their RNG business model… and it seems like you don’t either after what you said about Aion.
Some people in some parts of the world might like the Nexon RNG gamble cash shop stuff.
I don’t.
Hoping Elder scrolls doesn’t do this or I’ll have to keep looking for a better game
But its an option, its a shiny little sparkly option on the screen. If people are that drawn to the RNG of silly skins maybe it isn’t the game who has the problems. There is a way to make money from MMO’s, people like Zynga make millions each day on the fact that people will play a chance game over a guarantee game every time. Can we blame a company for wanting money? Can we blame a developer for introducing a RNG system to special skins? No, because they simply haven’t found a more detailed, more proven way to do so. Simply selling everything at face value removes that worth from the product. If everyone can get a corvette for $50,000, everyone will. If it is hard to find, if it is expensive enough, it remains a prestigious item, an item of great worth. And as far as the game goes that is all it is, some shiny that is just a little more special than all the other easily obtainable shinnies.
I can, without a doubt promise there is some form or shape of idea that is better than the RNG boxes. Do I know what it is? No, I do not, but neither does anyone else. All they can do is complain because a statistical number, with fuzzy logic, with coding and randomly placed numbers based on pseudo random ideas is letting them down. Well we can’t all win the lottery and we can’t all be famous, but who cares. the future holds promise for those who play the game of chance, for those who stick with it. Those who give up, retire from obtaining such prestigious items are only being left out. Perhaps someday we will come upon a greater example of how a game can obtain wealth other than RNG boxes, other than chance. But as of right now it is making them money, is supporting future content, and is a burning force in the game.
Hardcore gamer of MMO’s for 10+ years here. I do not like gear treadmills and think they are kitten. This game got worse BECAUSE they added ascended gear, this game did not need time-gated gear progression. Horrible design choice.
Because hard core gamers asked for it, because they asked for gear progression. They get it and then complain about how they have to grind for it, something that is almost a positive etched in mentality of the gear grind style of gaming. They get what they want, they aren’t happy, they don’t get what they want they aren’t happy. A publisher, a developer can’t cater to every player, they seem to do their best at trying though. But once again it falls upon the players to enjoy the content, and casuals simply don’t want the ascended grind, and hardcores don’t want to work for the BIS gear. So people need to make up their mind or the game will never progress.
For once you have a voice, an opinion on where the game should head, and instead of taking this opportunity to advance it we confuse them by telling them we want a clone, or don’t want a clone. People need to make up their minds and make a choice, explain that choice and offer suggestive feedback. Otherwise your just hampering the game, wasting developers and players time, and pointlessly ranting on forums to simply take up space. Being an online entity does not make you important, making a change in the world whether it be online or offline does. If you can’t contribute then move on, maybe I’m not clear enough to people, maybe I’m to harsh. But at this point I really don’t care, I’m just sick of the bickering and childishness that has ruined so many games before this. I’m hoping for better here, as no community will ever be perfect. I respect you all as the most mature and intelligent community I have ever seen, so stop disappointing me and yourself by becoming yet another reason everyone moves on to the next bug thing.
You guys just argue back and forth and back and forth. Elitists are ruining GW2, casuals are ruining GW2. you know whats ruining GW2? People who can’t stay the long haul, people who give up so easily on something because it isn’t perfect.
I find this a very interesting topic and I enjoy playing GW2.
Could you provide any evidence at all to your claim that " you know whats ruining GW2? People who can’t stay the long haul, people who give up so easily on something because it isn’t perfect.?"
Why do people on these forums keep saying things like " If all you can do is whine and moan about how bad it is then just leave, whats keeping you here?If all you can do is whine and moan about how bad it is then just leave, whats keeping you here?"
How is telling people to leave the game helping the game?
Nearly everyone who says “leave the game” because the person is complaining on the forums will tell you that only a small percentage of players even read the forums… so why tell anyone to leave the game? I’d like to see people on these forums stop doing this- stop telling people to leave the game. Stop telling people that this game is not for them. It’s not helping and you don’t work for ArenaNet so stop trying to be their spokesman.
Because people can’t get mats, people think Anet nerfed the mats. When in actuality it is because people simply aren’t there in Orr now, and rather in Southsun. You guys just argue back and forth and back and forth. Elitists are ruining GW2, casuals are ruining GW2. you know whats ruining GW2? People who can’t stay the long haul, people who give up so easily on something because it isn’t perfect. Well you know what? Nothings perfect in life, nothing in life you find will be perfect, nothing will give you happiness that amounts to meaning more than everything else. GW2 needs fixes, GW2 needs progression, GW2 needs constructive ideas to make it grow. If all you can do is whine and moan about how bad it is then just leave, whats keeping you here? Why not find a place that suites you, why not find a place that fits you better? Is it so much to ask that you spend a simple moment reflecting on what can be bettered by the game rather than simply complaining about it? What is this elitism, what is this fan boy hatred that keeps you all busy with ad hominid and hatred towards one another? Use your aggression and smarts to make a better game rather than to beat each other down. Use your intelligence to make a better design rather than to treat others like garbage. You know what the true problem with GW2 is? It is the people, the people who can’t let go of stereotypes, who cant let go of attention, who can’t simply construct a suggestion that is beneficial for everyone because they would much rather complain than be a part of the solution.
If you would all just stop the childish bickering and offer solutions, whether they be wrong or right, then perhaps you could see a change in the game. Otherwise your just here to make others lived miserable, in which case your doing a disservice to the world by even posting against others who actually care. Maybe its just a game, maybe its a stupid pixelated realm where some people live. But for some of us its a way to get away from the crappy real world. And if you would rather live and breath that crappy real world where violence and war run rampant then do so, do so without posting how much you hate the game. Because some people enjoy it, enjoy it for all its screwed up meta events, enjoy it for all its bugs and glitches, because we have hope it will be better. Because we can’t change the world with suggestions, because we cant make the real world better with a forum post. But we sure as kitten can make a difference here in forums by expressing ourselves, so stop trying to deter that with garbage posts and entitled garbage that is just trash talk to make yourself feel better. Seriously everyone needs to take a break from their ego and move on, do something better for everyone, and make a difference. Rather than make a dark spot on forums in a video game.
Hahaha the thief with grabbing the branch off the oakheart lol
Putting 4 legendarys in the MF causes Zommoros to appear and finally reveal himself as John Smith, granting you the full power to know all the secrets of the forge and the BLTC. Thus alowing you to become the new owner of the BLTC replacing BL with your name.
There are still plenty of things to farm in game that don’t require you to exploit, abuse bugged events, or harm the play of others.
Yeah? Which one?
Ones. As in many.
Wealth is the product of man’s capacity to think.
~Ayn Rand
I don’t think Arenanet needs to question whether or not to nerf things they deem improperly implemented as far as farming, or exploitable events. I think the real question is what can they come up with in time that is fun, beneficial monetarily and time wise for us, while still holding true to a fair model of “farmability”. There are still plenty of things to farm in game that don’t require you to exploit, abuse bugged events, or harm the play of others. Imo the real thing we need is specific new spots created by Arenanet that fit theirs and our idea of farming fun. I believe something is in the works, either something wide reaching or many small things. And my hopes are that it will help with this situation.
I don’t think there is an API yet for a notifier, maybe soon. There is the ability to watch it offline(well online) through various websites. The best time to buy is before an update or a short while after new items have entered the gem store. The price almost always skyrockets when new goodies are added, so buying gems with gold is best done at other times. And of course the opposite holds true for gem>gold.

No. Best Guide = Reading comprehension and common sense. But right now the mmo community seems to consist mostly of people who want to be spoonfed.
Well that is pretty harsh lol. I didn’t need a tutorial when I started, didn’t even know about dulfy and all that. After hitting 80 in a little over a week, getting full exotics in a month, maxing 2 crafts on 2 characters, I knew most the basics. Heck I made my first 20 gold at level 34 by farming an event. Not everyone can just pick up and play though, some people do better with instruction of guides, and theres nothing wrong with that. My personal way is just learning by myself, I find my own ways of making 8-10g+ an hour, farming items, and finishing quests/events. With 12 alts, 2 80’s and another 2 almost there and 4 mid levels I find it easy to figure out pretty much anything from experience. But I wouldn’t call everyone spoonfed, some maybe, but again nothing wrong with asking for help or guides. That is what we are here for, and part of what makes a good MMO.

Well we will have to just hope for a more clear statement about numbers and activity, and possibly a statement for Q2. Maybe we can make more observations about the state of the game at that time. As for myself, I just play when I feel, there is things I like/dislike. Overall to me this is still one of the best MMO’s out with the great ideas they have had, taking everything into account. I don’t think there is such a thing as best MMO, but I have hoped for a few of the many coming in the months ahead. But at the same time I have just as much hope and anticipation for GW2 updates as they have kept me interested enough to at least want to log in daily. The problem with forums is only the loudest are heard, and often times the loudest are drowning out all the good feedback with negative. More often people will take time to complain, than to congratulate an aspect of the game. After all if your enjoying something, you are probably too busy in general enjoying it to make a post about it. Not to say that never happens, but there is clearly some bipolarness to thread titles if you skim page by page.
