Ranger for everything if you equip a mini pet
If I had to pick I’d go with staff for Ele.
It will come with leaderboards lul.
I love valuable discussions.
Time yes, gold, no. It is strictly GW1 content. You would need to buy all of the original guild wars campaigns, and dedicate a significant amount of time to completion. And when you’re done, you will have fallen in love with GW1 and wonder what the hell happened.
They don’t need more condition utility, they need team utility. Make Foot in the Grave give stability to your team, warhorn buffs to team, and reapers might (might on LB ) give might to team.
Naked with a longbow is probably best option
I am well aware of the Necros talking points, but I just wanted to point out the misinformation that OP uses to justify his case.
As always, we can close this topic with mentioning that Conditions are not a class balance issue, but a game design issue.
The problem for me is when I’m playing late in a zone that doesn’t have much going on ( no world bosses, etc), and I am harassed with map closure every hour. I am doing map completion on a new character and I’m stopping for nodes, scenery, etc, and it can take some time because I’m watching Cleveland Brown on the second monitor and he so craaaazy.
Then if I’m lingering in a map after a boss and the maps are shutting down I get notifications every time I volunteer. Last night in Blazeridge I got placed into three maps in a row that were closing
Zerk necro has nowhere near lowest damage.
5 steps to fixing Rapid Fire:
1) Dodge
2) Duck
3) Dip
4) Dive
5) Dodge

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Leveling-as-a-Reward-Experience-Crippling/page/9#post4430106It’s just another example of what I mean by it being a joke. They gated content, and then they give out fake rewards.
Previously there were no rewards for leveling, so I don’t see the issue here.
^ forums can’t help you
The oasis in Bloodtide Coast, where you have to create potions. I’m being immobilized after every potion completion. I remain immobilized after waypointing, and have to log out to fix it.
I’m so glad that Gaile is back on the community team. She was awesome doing so in GW1.
We killed Zhaitan over two years ago and we haven’t even begun to see Orr change or any pattern change with the Risen. So likely not.
Yeah but that’s a technical issue. Orr isn’t living word, it’s personal story and new players need to see it like it is to experience the fight to get to Zhaitain. Orr is locked in time due to design decisions.
The idea of creating an alter version of the map that’s healing splits the player base, which Anet doesn’t want to do.
That’s the argument, and I don’t deny that it’s a good point, but it’s hard for me to believe that they didn’t consider the issue of time-lock while making the personal story (and in all honesty, who am I to say they won’t address it, or didn’t discuss it?). I just don’t want to see a game with a lot of unfinished business, so to speak, two or three years down the road. Orr, Kessex, LA, and now Mordremoths damage – and we are only one and a half dragons in. Primordus is going to cause all kinds of chaos when we encounter him, most likely.
For all we know, this is their plan – to obliterate their landscape so that in a few years from now we can look back and say, “wow, look at all this destruction that the dragons caused!” And admittedly that would be cool. But as time goes on, and as new players come in, and as people get restless, threads like this are going to continue to emerge as people want answers as to why the game world is not progressing. I think they have a plan, and I hope it works, but I can see why people are starting to question ANet’s priorities. And even as I say that I bite my tongue because I know that there are multiple teams doing a lot of different things and so on.
So, TL;DR:
We’ll see.
I think a lot of it has to do with ANet’s ambition being too large for their relatively small teams leading this kind of content. They have huge ideas like blowing up LA, but then they have to be on to the next one. There’s no time to account for how that mess will be cleaned up because it isn’t actively part of their trajectory (at the moment).
Mind you this is just my opinion, but it seems like they have a ton of climaxes with very little ramps, because they are under such strain to get that bombshell to live servers.
This rapid fire outrage has been the most fun the forums have been since the watchwork pick
As someone who “works in the industry” it’s pretty amazing to me that you think three massive walls of text are even going to be read. There are very clear explanations of how to give feedback on these forums and I think you are disregarding all of them

Thanks for the quick reply!
With the ICD removed, is FS placed back in the Ranger bar? And going by Brazil’s latest guide, which skill should it replace? I’m thinking QZ.
Apologies if asked:
On average, how much gold per day do waypoints remove from the game?
If that is something you can’t talk about, how about the amount of gold an extinct system like armor repairs removed from the game daily?
This heart objective in northern Fireheart Rise only grants completion progress on the first grenade kill. After the first kill, you have to abandon the bundle and get a new one for progress to continue after every kill.
Edit: only kills with the #1 grenade skill rewards progress. Intended?
Edit 2: Inconsistently rewards progress.

I don’t know, maybe they were meant to be long term goals and the purpose of them isn’t just to buy everything off the trading post. That would be my guess.
ANet really does need to do something for the veterans.
So you had half the money you needed and then wasted it it all for a less than 1% chance at a lottery?
Seems like the system is truly broken.
Wow really necroing this
Don’t even try to argue with these people Vayne, they’ve already decided what the game is going to be to them. The forums have created a stigma for players – if they’re here, they’re here to rage. And usually about things they personally have very little experience of.
Try them both and play what you like most. There is a lot of misinformation here that I don’t want to address and derail the topic.
Anet needs to find a way ..for ‘first character = all these limits’
Second character = less limits. (basically, all vistas, wp’s, skillpoints, nodes show… but the skill unlocks with levels, that would have to stay the same. )
CJo has already stated that this was supposed to be the case for many of the gated features.
They told us on these forums that they used data from both regions. If you’re going to be incredulous then what’s the point of making an argument? If you’ve already decided that no matter what ANet says they are lying, and you won’t believe them, then anything you say is immediately invalidated by the fact that you admittedly won’t be satisfied until you, as an individual, get what you want. Which destroys your own argument before it even begins.
Also metrics has nothing to do with your suggestion, especially how you explained it. The entire point of the patch was to build a ramp for new players to become veterans. If you’ve missed that somehow (which I don’t see how you could have possibly misinterpreted their intention), then this patch goes way over your head anyway.
They have the metrics to back up their plans. You have your obstinate opinions about what you think the “new player base” needs.
First of all, this metrics that are so hyped up by Anet seem to be China only done. I really doubt EU/American has a huge group of players, that would like a dumbed down game. So i have place serious question marks on this metrics system.
You should probably find an understanding of what ‘Metrics’ are before you begin posts like this.
A better solution (to both petitioning and posting this type of feedback) is to post your ideas constructively – relate your experiences to the content, give constructive feedback about what is and is not working, and avoid using generalizations about “the player base”.
The development team prefers players to use a format that is easy to navigate and digest, such as bullets and headings.
Respectfully, posts like this one offer no opportunity for constructive criticism as the original post sets the tone for negativity and toxicity. It offers a lot of opportunity to go off topic, at which point it will be moderated and likely closed.
Petitions are against forum rules.
It’s probably OPs own sale lol
Map icons should be prioritized over commander tags anyway.
It makes the mini map almost useless at some times as well. I’m sure new players are also confused by all of the arrows on their screen.
For the love of god please.
Why does the offer doesn’t goes up as fast as the demand?
OP this is not the kind of feedback that is considered useful. No one cares that you won’t get the backpiece. Especially when you present your post so maliciously.
I’m curious as to why they didn’t continue the ’Marjory’s Journal’ type items. It was an awesome delivery method for content recap, and included an extremely impressive cinematic. Introducing a similar item to recap the first season, or even seasons post S2, would be beneficial to everyone.
Scavenger hunt.
The most important thing here is that they are adding real rewards outside of the gem store (that aren’t champion bags).
After the patch drops there are going to be a lot of threads all over the place about where to find this and that. I think the ambition of this system deserves its own place. There are certain to be a lot of players who will make the ‘collections’ game their GW2 life’s work.
My favorite thing about this skill is how close it came to making a Necro interesting in a group. It’s the biggest joke played on the Necro.
Skritt just seem the most random of the friendly/aggressive tribes. Hylek are easily addressed, as are centaurs (Maguuma vs others) and most obviously Inquest Asura. They all have some kind of logic behind their player reaction. Even friendly Skritt have things in their areas that were clearly stolen from elsewhere. Maybe the ones we catch in the act are the evil ones :p
It’s not a big deal or anything I’m just interested in what makes developers in an MMO motivate different temperance amongst similar races. Why is the player interested in helping Skritt kill harpies, but then kill the Skritt in the next map. Or even, why isn’t there a faction of harpy that we are helping somewhere? It would be cool to get insight from the writers as to how this decision process is carried out.
