So sorry, under same parent NCsoft. Cause makes all the difference. And doesn’t show up in my NCSoft launcher at all.
NCSoft is “only” publisher of ANet and as such don’t really have anything to do with the dragon events and such, and hence you cant really make any connection between 2 games they happen to publish…

Why make them any kind of bound at all tbh? why cant we be allowed to sell them, or give to guildies/friends if they have more use of them?
What I don’t get is, the developers of these games, do they not notice first off if a class is “OP”? Seriously they put in the exact coding for the dmg amounts that the class does with every skill and the reuse on those skills and the life amounts of mobs .etc, so WHY is there a need for nerfs.
All I can see is that either the devs don’t have their heads on straight or the players just spend too much time wineing and not enough time playing.

All you have to do to take the waypoint from Lion’s Arch to the Priory. It’s actually pretty close across the zone line, and it’s like 2s.
and then take a wp from trinity to even malchor’s leap let alone cursed shore and you paid a total of at least double what a direct wp to LA cost.
That said while i dont find the wp cost that bad (and no im rarely if ever deliberately farming gold or other things like that), it is still a valid point that whispers have so easy access, vigil have a decent access and priory a very kittenty access to it and should be changed somehow.
and how would you want the server to know exactly if you are a WvW character, technically EVERYONE is a sPvP, WvW and PvE player
I have way too many different kinds of currency, and there’s no way to really show it all, or store it all, or have it look good ever.
What I would suggest is to simply remove most of them.
That’s exactly why I made this post. To suggest that there’s to many currencies and it should be put somewhere, and not into your bags.
It would be rather pointless to remove most of it. Because like one person above said – you’ll then just farm the easiest dungeon and/or path and get all your gear that way. It’s much better how it is now, just that the currencies should be moved to a tab for easy access to it and out of your bags.
Yeah make a tab called “Currencies” or something in the Hero panel that list all of them where you can see them and have any new one go there directly and make use of the deposit option on the old ones to get them in there
The problem is with thiefs (and mesmers) specially they are not that intuitive to counter, but once you found out who they are kinda easy to counter, so yeah giving them yet another way to counter those classes would make the others too strong in the hands of a skilled player. Really the only thing that can stop that is to teach people how to counter them, yet a lot of ppl are not willing to learn it apparently, so waht we really need a shift in attitude of some ppl… and well Good luck with that…
No you can already reduce your weapon swap cd by a HUGE amount, there is your proficiency, plus you can use more weapon types than any other class. Also those become transform skills are NORN skills not warrior skills, battle standard, signet of rage and rampage are the warrior elite skills
once again.. you want to get the same thing the huge collection of people gets without any of the effort…
No you cant be paid 100 billion a year just because the country gets that much.
Cant speak for all the others but personally i would be fine if we just had access to tier 1 guild missions in say lvl 2 or 3 of their respective tiers, then the tier 2 and 3 missions could be further down, that way the smaller versions would be accessible by the smaller guild, but the bigger guilds got their bigger missions, so the big guild sure would have a advantage sure, but, at least the small ones do have a chance to get something, although it would take a bit longer, but i wouldn’t mind that. really with all 3 tiers being in lvl 5 i bet the tier 1 and 2’s are rarely if every started because the big guilds simply get more out of doing tier 3’s
They could just make it so they automatically come off CD when you come out of combat, like with your health. While in combat they would function normally.
Yes this or maybe an NPC you can talk to to reset your CD’s, can be a bit annoying the long cd if you need to test something with your elites
I would personally like to see guild missions that increase our influence. I thought that was the whole point of adding these guild missions to begin with. My guild is 4 people. two of which are active. We’re only just about to unlock level 3 architecture so we can wait for 5000 more influence to unlock the treasure trove so we have more bank space. In order to unlock any of the guild missions, we need a rediculous amount of influence and have to unlock levels of other category’s that we have no use for.
definately needs to change, or at least include something to support the smaller guilds.
I think you misslooked something TT, in fact requires lvl 4 architecture, which if i remember right should be around another 10k inf
if you already have your trait lines opened, buying maunals wont do anything, what you need is instead of going into your trainers “shop” you need to pick his other dialog option (cant remember what it says exactly)

at one point it wasn’t possible, which was horrible since you might accidental promote a person to same rank as you, with no way to demote them, but now you can actually demote them back down. And well if you dont want them to kick or demote you simple, give them a rank right below yourself. So not hat part dont need fixing
What DO need fixing though is to separate inviting/demoting/promoting/kicking from each other instead of being on general “Admin lower ranks” permissions

I dont know, since i dont ahve a ranger myself, but why dont you try make it use regen with all your gear on, see how much it heals per tick, and then take one or more pieces off (better to take a couple off at least to be sure to loose enough healing power that it would affect it), and see if the ticks go down?
Hmm i do wonder making a macro to type a certain thing into chat (for example on my Mesmer could be handy to say something like “Time Warp coming up in 2 seconds” or something before actually casting it, so ppl know that I’m about to cast it and thus they should try and not be too spread out if possible, would that count as multiple actions? I think the real problem here might be we dont really know ANet’s definition of “an action”
As someone who does both they fit fine.

I want WvW based rewards in a separate category then the PvE. Holy kitten. REEEAAAAADDDD
Everything you get as reward can be used for your wvw too, money and laurels can get your the siege you want, karma, money and laurel can get you gear, money and karma can be used to buy keep upgrades, xp can be used to gain you lvl’s and thus skill points (and increased stats/traits if you not yet lvl 80).
Name me ONE reward from daily that in no way shape or form can help you in WvW, and you have a point otherwise, you don’t (achievement points not included, as that is as useless/useful to both PvEers as they are to WvW’ers)
well just like every humans are different, and some are outright stick FAR out of the norm (talking both ingame and IRL here), i suppose a charr could stick out like that too and find small quaggan backpacks adorable, it would certainly not be your average charr, but would be one of those silly charr sticking out a lot

I see it as great done really, all these things you see as “contradicting” are the small joys and pleasure the ppl still manage to find, and what makes it worth fighting for. Afterall if there were no happiness or joy left in the world what would it be worth fighting? everyone would loose hope and spirit to fight on then

Also you say you have a high-end spec’ed computer , care to tell the actual specs? cause i don’t see anywhere near those problems you describe. I run 60+FPS on majority of times and as good as never drop below 30FPS, on near max settings

Ppl whined when they were forced to do 4 specific task
It got changes to rotate between random tasks
Ppl whined because some of the task given supposedly took too much time(hell some Ppl even whined about not wanting to be forced to craft 10 items…)
It got now changed to pick 5 out of a list of 9
Ppl whine they don’t get rewards at the end of all 9 done…

The main thing to remember is that only whole seconds count for condition duration. It means that if you see something that will cause bleeding for 5.5 seconds, that bleed will cause damage 5 times even though the condition is applied for a total of 5.5.
while that is true, for intensity stacking only (bleeding and confusion, is the only 2 that pops up right now in my head might miss one or 2) if we applied the same duration to a poison ex. (or any other that stacks duration) and then applies it twice we would get to a nice round number of 11 seconds
i will agree on the scaling maybe having an option and me and my guildmates did AC
1. we were using a team speak
2. they lowerd the little scavengers basic attacks
3. gave new attacks to enimies and bosses
4. revamped the legendary boses at the end
and path 2 we were playing ghost busters in the chat room. and what is sad is we all said i feel sorry for the new people comming in to the game going ohh hay im lvl35 and i can do this.all the dungeon’s are LvL 80. i would not recommend going to a dungeon if your not lvl80 and have at least master work on. you will get whipped and half to wate till everyone’s dead or break aggro.
really no, sure being lvl 80 makes it easier, but a competent player that is same lvl as the dungeon can partake just as good as a good lvl 80, and well he can likely partakke better than a bad lvl 80 player

The problem that most groups have is that they are not in any Voice Com and that makes coordination harder!I really hope ANet puts in more content in which doing it without VoiceChat is just impossible. This is the kind of content that is missing I feel.
When you coordinate your group correctly you can finish the thing with 5 or more secs left on the timer.
Uhm, the game shouldn’t require 3rd party software to complete parts of the game. However, I do agree that there should be more content promoting coordination with the team, which gives clear advantage to those parties utilizing voice chat.
then look at my post right above you, it does not require voicecom though it certainly would make it easier but i have done it quite a few times with only text communication, but communication in some form is required though, if you done then it is more luck that anything if you complete it
While i dont ahve any sicknesses etc that makes the white theme hurt me like some ppl, i do just prefer a darker theme, so why not, just add it as an OPTION so those that want a white theme can use that, those that want a dark can use that

the dredge dungeon is already long and difficult. does the boss really need to heal? would not be better invulnerable or a 1 time heal?
does it need to hit the one who is running for the lava busckets with AoE?
this fight is already eternal when you manage to hit the boos with lava at all stations… why does he need to heal or hit everywhere? does it really need to have veteran that spawns each time with no at least one or two minutes without them?
LOL do it properly and he wont heal, you know keep him moving so he always ahve the superheated “buff” on, and interrupt him when he tries to heal

This is referring to the ability to start exploratory mode. I’m not sure why this was not already established in the first place. Going through the story once is okay but having to do so for each character is a major hassle with very little benefit.
There have been many times where a group is formed but nobody has access on their current character. They either are forced to play on their character that completed it or we then have that awkward silence before someone decides to drop from the group.
aggreed, what is more stupid is that when it is char bound, why cant you see anywhere, short of trying to enter if you actually did do it on that character
you can solo one or 2 mobs in a dungeons, it just takes a lot of skill, knowing how to avoid their attacks properly etc.

While i haven’t seen the problem described really on my server (Gandara), i can easily imagine what it must be like (and yet wonder if it might be even worse than i imagine), so can support this.
And alternative solution could be to limit the amount of guest that any one map can have to say 1/5th of the total population (could even be depend on the current population at the map at the time a guest enter the map (ofc is a native player leaves the map it shouldn’t kick a guest of it again just because of that, but would disallow new guest from entering that map until either some guest lefts or more natives joined)). This would either spread guest out more over the servers, or at least spread them out over more different maps on the same server

first things first… your first line is blatantly false, you cant get any piece of ascended gear in 45 seconds, since you can buy your way to laurels, but i don’t mind that part of it that much, it is the 100 ecto for getting both accessories that is stupid
… as i said we were promised at release (and before that even in fact) that BiS was relatively easy to get, nowhere was there a caveat to that that you need to BUY gold for real cash, or have to be in a big guild.
As many have pointed out some of us simply do not like being one of the mass in a big guild where you likely don’t really know anyone most of the times, we prefer the small guilds. (If im spending money on gems (and I have done a couple times already in past), it is to buy stuff i want in the gemstore to get gold.
Seriously there is 3 tiers of most of the guild missions why not put tier 1 in lvl 2 or 3 and then tier 2 in lvl 3 or 4 and you can have your tier 3 in lvl 5. That way yes you oh so big guilds can get it a little faster, but it would still be within reach, for the smaller guilds, if you are so much against guild alliances
lol 1 hour would make it WAY too easy, imo its fine, if your group is just half decent with some kind of teamwork it easy enough. The ones that are very far away have either a mesmer use a portal or some of the fast classes take them
Remember back when dailies = 4 things? Kill Count, Kill Variety, Gathering, Events. Everyone could do it, in every zone, no matter what. This new system is stupid, and they just need to take it back to how it was at release.
I like to see you do kill variety even over all 3 orr zones… was NOT possible
The random people don’t need to get rewards and many five player guilds can currently group up on the same guild missions as it stands now.
Most 5 players guild don’t have the inf to even unlock the freaking guild missions, and if you not part of a guild that can do the missions you have to pay obsurd prices for ascended assecories, no i do not expect a small guild to be able to get that stuff as fast, but i DO expect to be able to get it in a reasonable timeframe, as we where promised at release, that BiS items was relatively easy to acquire, 40 laurel+50 ecto is NOT relatively easy however.
So yeah i can support the OP’s idea, beside guild alliance existed in gw1 as well as many other MMO’s before and it always worked wonders
crafting a agree does gives way too much but anything else is fine for this game, is not supposed to take half a year to reach max lvl on 1 character in this game like other MMO’s are
and beside crafting is not even one of the options today
well the game on the other hand don’t change much if at all at lvl 80 (max level) so really don’t worry too much about it, also you can still go to lowerlvl areas and have fun without being too OP there as you get scaled down to the lvl of the area
well if you go near the portals to wvw in LA you have NPC’s shouting about the mist wars very clearly talking about wvw, so yeah if you didn’t get that you really should try just look around a bit more, quite clear to me, beside when have there been invaders in spvp?
I actually don’t think the idea of limiting ascended gear to jewelry and maybe weapons is a bad one actually. Just make sure the weapons have great looking skins.
not weapons no ONLY jewelry, since once you begin to dip into weapons and armor who you gonna handle runes and sigils? ANet have to create one hell of a lot of items if they are to make all possible stat and sigil types for all weapon types…, the amount of unique options we had on jewellery compared to weps and armour before ascended was abysmal
