[Suggestion]Option to turn off vocalizations

Have you tried looking in the sound options? There is an option to turn off vocalizations, its called Dialog Volume. Its a slider bar so you can adjust it so you barely hear it or completely shut it down, this also mean you miss the calls from team members. But yeah you got the option already, enjoy the game more. Your Welcome.

A server chat per map sounds fine but entire world? It would be so used, we wouldn’t even see normal chat anymore. Definitely will not click that +1 for the pleasure of being spammed to oblivion.

There fixed that for you….
I don’t understand how everyone thinks that they are gonna be spammed from this new idea of chat. Basically, if you do not want to see it, just un-check the /world box, no spam can happen if you do not participate.
Please note if you are worried about gold sellers using this new chat system to reach a broader spectrum of players with only a single advertisement. I’d have to say that this would be a wrong assumption. Think about it, the more people a gold seller spams the faster he will be caught. If a gold seller puts and ad in /world chat, instantly 1000’s of players will report him for gold selling and the stolen account he used may just get locked sooner. The reason they /whisper you is they keep there presence unseen by anet until they get alot of reports of the illegal activities and frankly alot of players don’t try to report or block the account spamming them, so tomorrow the same guy is able to spam you again. See gold sellers have loads of stolen accounts and they will only /whisper a few people before switching to another account and continuing, thus avoiding having all the accounts locked. This idea may very well put in a fast lane for getting gold selling accounts banned and expedite the whole process.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding on how this should be used so here is an example. You are on Blackgate, in your /world chat, all Blackgate people can see and chat about Blackgate no matter where you are in the game. You can use /world chat to ask for help of any Blackgate people where another server could use this information and turn it around against you like in WvW. No one from Jade Quarry can read what is said in Blackgate’s /world chat even if they guest over to Blackgate or if they are in Blackgates mega-server, so commanders can do call-to-arms and say exactly where help is needed without fear of giving that info to the other teams. If using this chat does not apply to you then un-check the /world chat box so it will not be seen.
Also you can still use /say for where ever you are locally, and /map for whatever map you in. These will still allow you communication in those situations with people who are near you and could possibly help you accomplish whatever goals that need help on that level without locking out other servers in PvE.

OK simple add a new chat that lets everyone in your world to see it. So you can talk about concerns of your world server without prying eyes. Also with the addition of the mega-server system we really need this now. And this chat needs to be exclusive only to members of your world server and will operate the same way /guild chat does so that all can see it no matter where in the game they are at. And since anet wants us to all feel connected to our own world, what better way than a chat system dedicated to it.

Advertisements for guilds can be placed here without getting responses from people not even on your server, unless you are looking to recruit from other servers then /map chat would work sense most if not all of the main cities are on mega-servers now. Although I would like to see a UI addition to the guild UI for this, where guild leaders can post a more permanent message and people looking for guilds can browse these messages from the guild UI.

Call-to-Arms could be arranged by Commanders inside WvW using /world to get more people to come help where major pushes are needed to be competitive. This would not tip off your opponents of said activities.

If you feel I have overlooked something that can make this idea even better post your additions and concerns. Please help move this idea forward by posting positive responses and be sure to click the +1 —-—->over here to get Dev’s to see this, unless you disagree.

We need on screen consumable bar

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Gummy.4278

My suggestion is for two assignable buttons that lets you flip the current /skill bar over to a /emote bar and then over to a /consumable bar.

/skill bar
you know how the weapon swap works now with the 1-5 buttons yeah so the devs would not need to program a whole new UI bar into the game just use what we already got. But maybe add a color change to the borders of each respective bar, so the skill bar would remain black and the consumables could be green and the emote blue.

/emote bar
yes I want those little /emotes in my bar like other games use, here is a link to fine example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzV5tyR2Ibo

/consumable bar
I don’t want just foods here guys…. I want it all.
Alcohol, Bundle items like the ash legion spy kit, Blueprints the siege weapons in WvW, Boost that you get from the gem store, Tonics & Mini Pets and other persistent items like the musical items or the riding broom. Think about this too, any item you buy just to spam using, can be clicked alot faster hitting number keys than mouse clicks.

How I would like for this to be added.
First create a new area in the hero’s <Equipment tab, down at the bottom put in a small mock up of the current skill bar when the button u assign to be used with flipping the bar is pressed it will flip between the emotes and consumables mentioned above. When you click one of the buttons inside the bar it will open the correct items that could be placed in the bar, so if you click on the emote bar it will show all the emoticons that can be placed in them and if you are looking at the consumable bar the same way, you can either click the item you want to put in that slot number or drag and drop. Alternately you can drag and drop directly from your inventory without going into the hero tab.

You will be able to set up two buttons to hold that button then the number button for the item you want to use. The button press would only show the items in that bar while (Holding) that button down, as soon as you release the button it goes back to being a skill bar. This should circumvent people complaining about that they had the emote bar open and a thief started doing a number on their backside and all they could do was wave their butts goodbye. Once you have learned your number placement of consumables you should be able to click without thinking or blocking your view and during combat.

The community does this all the time…." I love this idea…but anet is not capable of making this happen" Everyone is so sure of how things works that they shoot there own collective foots before any ideas can get support from the community and then be recognied by the devs…

I say +1 it and let anet sort out if its viable or not.

How will the engine differentiate between you running off a ledge intentionally and if someone knocks you off?

I would think, a skill is usually used to knock you off, without that cast it will let you jump to your death. I am no dev though, so it very well have another mechanism to distinguish between the two.

Gummy.4278

Well, enemies can’t fall of edges for practical purposes.
There are plenty of creatures that should not be able to swim and don’t have swimming animations – if you knocked them off a ledge into water it could be problematic. It’s already problematic that some enemies can be pushed along shore into the water and then you get to watch their broken animations.

Secondly if the cliff was smaller, how does the enemy have the appropriate pathing to get it back to it’s normal place? A lot of games simply let enemies run up cliffs in an attempt to solve this problem and it is super immersion breaking, Then what happens if you knock an enemy off a Jumping Puzzle, there’s no possible way for it to make its way back up, so should it just stand in one place until hopefully someone comes along and kills it, meanwhile the game can’t respawn a new enemy in it’s place.

Huh? my suggestion is to add a new downed state for the players, not for npc’s or adding knocking them off a cliff. Keep the npc’s overpowered can’t be knocked off a cliff like it is. Your comments have nothing to do with the suggestion, please stay on topic.

Now Living Story season 2 will be us chasing her ghost. Oh yes she is dead. but we are not just gonna get to leave it that way. Besides who would know better her Master than its 1st follower.

I was playing and was fighting on a cliff edge with a vet that had a knock back that sent me hurtling over the edge. Yes I had already used my stability to save me from that once and it was on cool down. Yet when I used my knock back the vet got sent flying, but at the last possible second he does not go off the edge, oh no, all the npc’s are allowed to not be knocked off the edge.

Which got me thinking of a new idea for GW2. A Downed state for knocking someone off an edge in all areas of the game. NO I do not mean that where you go splat that you go into a downed state. I mean a new downed state that you will latch onto the edge of the cliff in a last ditch effort to save your life. It will sort of act the same as going into a downed state except these new skills will be sort of thought out to help pull yourself back up. I would think you would have a couple of skills that act the same for all players and a couple that are profession based. I haven’t thought out what these skills might be, so feel free to add your suggestion of what these could be for each profession.

And to give some indication of what I am talking about, here is a video from the KungkittenPanda movie that I think might help some people visualize what I mean.

Put in the TP the ability to search for the skin name and all pieces on the tp that use that skin will list.

If this is already a possibility, please enlighten me on how its done.

I am actually working on a website that shows a list of all existing items with a specific skin if that helps. Something of the sort already exists, but i could give you the link once everything is working properly.

That’s good news for people who will defiantly find great use from it until this small suggestion for the addition to the TP along with searching between Light, Medium, and Heavy armor could be added in the future. Please come back and link when you get it up.

I just always search “skin” in tp when I want to look for them. Not so hard to find the skin you are looking for, I just organize from high to low price, most sets are around same prices.
But more options very welcome.
But would rather have the choice to search for light/medium/heavy armor only, now that we are talking about things that needs work on tp :P

He doesnt mean actually “Skin” items, but an option to find Items that have a specific skin, if that clears the confusion a bit.

Yes see when you go to the bank and open the wardrobe it shows you what you have unlocked and what you have not unlocked. It gives the skin name in the wardrobe, but if you search that name on the TP, I seem to get no results. The items on the TP have another name that does not match the skin name of the look the item carries.

Ah yes, riding horses that don’t exist anywhere in this world.

This is an idea for a different game, not something that should be added to GW2.

I hear WS has mounts and is very WoW-like.

I’m not against the concept of mounts in MMOs, but they would only serve a cosmetic purpose. Travel speed is not an issue in this game with instant WPs and all.

If they should put time and money into anything it should be guild halls.

Did you read Edge of Destiny? trying not to spoil, but they hear horses though a asura gate. Which I have said before that inside fractals of the mist they have done some time travel back to the Thaumanova Reactor, prof that it could be possible to go back to a time when horses were alive and well and acquire a couple for breeding purposes to repopulate current Tyria.

Yes I can agree give us halls first then when you are satisfied with that, they can have time to work on mounts for pro mounters.

With all do respect, I did suggest something a kin to this along time ago already.

Not a weapon but more like the way a engineer uses his flamethrower or grenade kits. A signet type skill, that all could learn, maybe after a long quest to receive the skill unlock and while equipped in a utility slot it would give off the signet passive effect of you riding on whatever mount skin you had unlocked at a 15 to 25%(negotiable)speed, all connected to a mount tab in your hero panel much like the finishers tab. If you signet activate it will instill the weapons skills into your skill bar in the 1 -5 slots giving brand new skills that can only be used while mounted and based on the type of mount which is based on gw2 trinity of damage, control, support. One skill I thought of was when someone was downed a support type mount could lasso a foot and drag the downed player a short distance to try and rez them. The 1 to 3 skills would be weapon based skills and 4 and 5 would be mounted skills. And these mounts can pull current siege weapons to other areas.

And a New area would be added to The Mist for these to play in or should it just be added to the current WvW maps….

For some reason I thought of Destiny’s Edge and DE2 in epic battle of Game of Thrones….But who is who in that.

for example Logan Thackeray is Jaime Lannister… IDK why this just seems to work so well.
another good match up is Taimi is Bran Stark and Scruffy is Hodor

Why?

Just because we get this (earlier than Dragon Bash no less) doesn’t mean we won’t get Dragon Bash.

Ok let me explain something that you may have overlooked. How does a city spend money on a festival, when the entire city has been destroyed? In real life there would not be any money used on a festival, when rebuilding and clean up should take the priority. If they have a festival now it would be weird… It should be postponed, since no amount of clean up has even been started yet.

I actually was saying the other night that during this down time it would be nice if they brought back other LS(with achievements) for something for us to do while waiting for china start up. I am glad that they are making it happen, just wished that they had started the new(old) events sooner.

If two big guilds came together 48% of the attendees are from[BITE] and 46% are from[FITE] and the other 6% are from many guilds. [BITE] & [RITE] would share in the glory even though [BITE] was not the guild that started the event, they have unlocked the ability to start the event and the populace they bring, makes them noteworthy. Do you think this is fair.

this would be great advertisement for the guild

World/Guild Chat Announcements

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Gummy.4278

Gummy.4278

1. In GW1, every time we got favor of the gods or completely finished the last tier of an accomplishment it would announce it to the current district you was in at the time.

2. Guild leaders need a way to /say or /email something to the entire guild all with one message.

What I would like is that when major Events like Tequatyl or the Worm are done by Guilds it will announce to the world that it was done by X guild and when you complete an individual block of achievements it will announce what you done along with your name like we used to see in GW1.

Also give the Guild leaders and only the guild leaders or who they rank high enough in the guild the ability to use a new special /emote (ex. /loudspeaker) which will make an announcement style message to all guild members active or not what you are as a guild getting ready to do.

Please feel free to help build this idea with improvements and fixes of any kind!

But I am not against trying it out every once in awhile, because it can be fun. Also they know the numbers and I would wager to say that the numbers told them 80% of the community was not doing any PvP dailies at all if they whole section was not getting used then why is it needed.

Unlocking starting area skins

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Gummy.4278

Gummy.4278

You’ll need an open character slot.

Start a new toon for each profession. Except for Ranger, all have unique starter gear, for example the necro has a choice in the character creator section to select three different headgear pieces the demon eyes, the skeleton face and the ghostly eyes. Each one of these will unlock on your account to allow all of light armor professions to use these in their overall armor appearance.

Also note that during leveling the toon to the level 10 personal story there are three armor skins for Chest, Leggings, and Boots.

So if you have a Key Farming character slot the best way to do this is to select human and do all the unlocks on each profession till you have all starter skins unlocked and delete the toon and start another for each piece and profession.

Unlocking Rogue Mask

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Gummy.4278

Gummy.4278

Do you mean the Starting area skin?

I am positive that if you have an empty character slot, you can make a new thief and pick the mask from there and it will unlock on your account. Then you can delete the toon start it again with the next head piece for another free unlock on your account. Also note that there are three armor pieces to obtain from doing your PS a chest, leggings, and boots, also note that there are three selection of each type. If memory servers me right one will be power, vitality or toughness depending on class you are playing, and precision.
So if you play around with it and all of the classes, there are a fair bit of unlocks for your account that can be made.

[Suggestion] - Account Bound Commander Tags?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Gummy.4278

Gummy.4278

I would like for there to be several types of commander tags .

In WvW the tag we have works great, but yes give it the option to be account bound and for those who bought multiple already, just give them a refund for each extra tag. Also being able to put gold with a badges of honor would not hold as much meaning as what rank the person is, because badges can be farmed without having any experience of leadership involved. That is not to say that rank can not be farmed as well, because it can. Earning higher rank is more difficult than running the JP for badges.
Also add havok tags for smaller groups that can break off from the main commander to take objectives at his discretion. These Will Not be bought, but instead given to someone by a leading commander in his squad. He/she may then right click person giving them the tag and asking for volunteers to follow and take what ever objective needed.

High ranking Guild members should have the ability to buy a guild only tag that only guild members can see that can be bought for coin and commendations.

Color code each guild you are a Member of. Be able to toggle all guild chats on displaying in the coded colors.

This will get people who are always on but not repping to see when announcements go out in other guild chats that the person would love to attend and REP but never see because they forget which guild they are repping and no one whispers them to let them know that its getting ready to happen. A lot of Guild leaders don’t take the time to whisper events since the person is not repping they don’t want to send out individual messages cause they don’t feel connected to that guild member.

Much the way Alliance Chat would work except you can talk in one guild chat and still see the others. Maybe add the the guild tag to the end of the /g so if you are in {RITE} {BITE} and {SITE} guilds, to talk to members of BITE you would type /gBITE.

I also agree with this. It’s frequent that people miss out on guild chat if they are rep’ing another guild. Being able to control which chats are visible and having a chat swap option like that would be very useful.

I have members in my guild that are color blind too so that would be great if there were further options for them. I know one main complaint aside from the chat log colors is also the thin red AoE rings. Having an option to “fill-in” those rings might help like they did during the Marionette fight.

yeah if it list that the chat is from GuildBITE then the name of the player and then whatever they say then even the color blind person could tell them apart.

Those rings, I want them updated as well, even though I am not color blind I do have to strain to see the old ones and do prefer the newer style.

Gather happens every day and you know what happens people get in a rut and go farm the same nodes everyday. Add more Diversity to it: so today its Copper Ore tomorrow it could be Leeks and the following day it could be Ancient Wood.

Daily Dungeon ask for a certain path.
Daily Kills ask for a certain mob.

I am sure more people could think of more Diversity to add to the Dailies.

Does that mean that now we go back to being second to Trahearne? Who wants to play that way? I for one was a little disappointed at him being the hero in the main story and you playing second fiddle. The one thing Anet did right in Scarlet’s LS arc was let you be the one to be the hero, the stake planted firmly in her greens was a big payoff for the ending of the LS.

What do you think?

I may be the only one who thinks that she was not interrupting Mordy’s food supply. The way I see it, all the dragons woke to feed on magic or started feeding when they awoke. She did not interrupt it, she introduced it to it.
We shall see or at least I hope we do get all the info we need.

For the most part we all was wanting her to go away in a major way, most did not like her character.
Anet did one thing right by letting us have the last laugh or did they.
I don’t think I would like to find out that Scarlet died by our own hand and she was trying to be the hero, she did say “This is not the way it was supposed to happen!” right before you stick her. Of course then she really was like Treaherne trying to jump out in front of us and steal the lime light by becoming the hero with us as the sidekick.

I just hope that the patch fills in all the little questions that she has brought to the table and fills in some of the ones that have been ongoing since beta.

Edit: Boy was I wrong not only on the feeding off magic but that Anet would write in info that would explain things! From this we learn nothing new or anything old….we were already speculating what we got as the reveal.

Elder Dragons (no Humanoid Form)

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Gummy.4278

Gummy.4278

See that is also something I have heard other say, that maybe the Elder Dragons are conduits to the Gods and that all that magic eating is actually the Gods getting that magic back so they stay more powerful magically than the races of Tyria.
Which some would also argue that had we voted for Gnashblade, we would have found out though his Fractal research project that the reason the Gods got mad at and turned on Abaddon, was that originally Tyrians did not have magic and his gift of magic to the races sealed his fate.
To keep a balance between the magic the races could use and to not let them get to powerful the Elder Dragons where created by the remaining Gods.

On another note, I have also heard that they can in fact turn into Humanoid form as we who have played Guild Wars 1 will remember seeing them as what we all thought was the herald or avatar forms of each God. Which might explain when Kormir said “Yes….and so much more!” as she took the over being the God when Abaddon was destroyed.

Abaddon didn’t gift magic to the races of Tyria. Magic was around since the beginning, but at the end of the last rising of the Elder Dragon, the Seers sealed away all the uncorrupted magic of Tyria in the Bloodstone.

The Six, not just Abaddon alone, gifted magic back to Tyria when they released it from the Bloodstone. After all the death, destruction, and chaos it caused, it was Abaddon that didn’t want to restrict magic to a manageable level. That’s why, amongst other reasons, there was a conflict between him and the other gods.

Also, there is NO ties between the Elder Dragons and the Six. For one, the Six, as well as the human race, isn’t native to Tyria, and they have only been around for about maybe 1,500 years or so. The Elder Dragon, on the other hand, have had multiple risings. That span nearly 11,000 years from the present day.

Secondly, this whole theory has been debunked in the Personal Story, during the Cathedral of Silence (story).

Priestess Rhie: Hail, ancient one! Rise from your frozen tomb. I, your priestess, call upon you in the name of Grenth himself!
The Seventh Reaper: Who dares summon me? A true priest! is there such a thing in this fallen land?
Priestess Rhie: I am Grenth’s servant, and we have survived many dangers to speak with you, Please, hear us?
The Seventh Reaper: I see in your heart that you are no stranger to Death. Very well. I will hear you out, but in return you will kill in Grenth’s name.
The Seventh Reaper: The keeper of this shrine has fallen to Zhaitan. Grenth wishes him returned, but I am too weak to perform the task. Destroy the keeper, and I will answer your questions.
Trahearne: Thank you, dark Reaper. We will do as you have asked.
The Seventh Reaper: Destroy the corruption. Return the soul of the keeper. Go.

Grenth and Zhaitan are enemies, and Grenth and his Reapers didn’t care for Zhaitan stealing one of Grenth’s servants souls from the Mists to server him.

good just as long as you understand i was repeating some discussion i had heard…..

Elder Dragons (no Humanoid Form)

I know this sounds really “old fashioned” but I’d rather have the dragons stay as dragons. They are described as forces of nature.

In d&d, dragons are powerful spellcasters capable of shapeshifting. This doesn’t apply universally.

the Elder Dragon are not powerful spell casters? Not all the books and other media make their version of a dragon a shape shifter, just wondering out loud do these Elders?

It might not make sense for an answer to come from anet since it might reveal a very important piece of info and spoil the whole thing if they can shape shift into humanoid forms.

I don’t think the Elder Dragons can appear in humanoid form. There’s no mention of it at all in the lore. They are definitely intelligent (for instance Glint (not elder), Zhaitan sending forces to attack Claw Island, or any of them controlling their champions/minions), but they probably see no point in having a dialogue with any of the other races. They’re awake, they’re going to do what they want (cause they’re Elder Dragons), they’ll consume cause they can and want to. They have no interest in taunting others, they just act.

The return of the Elder Dragons are on a 10,000 year cycle so yeah might be hard to come by some lore on that standpoint and was anyone other than the Forgotten and Mussat left after last time the Elder Dragons came to town, maybe the Dwarves remember….nobody has any details about the past to share with us.

Just about every time I have ever played pen and paper D&D, read a book with dragons, watched a movie with dragons, or played other games that had dragons, I have encountered a Dragon in Humanoid form. If it was not in Humanoid form then even in the grand scale Dragons are very intelligent and can communicate verbally, as seen most recently in the Hobbit Movie and still one of my all time favorite books.

What I am saying is, can the Elder Dragons of Tyria appear in Humanoid Form? If so why would you not make them appear to us that way and have dialog with us. So they can tell us exactly how they are going to kill you and dip you in ketchup while doing so.

I know (voice acting) ain’t cheap but come on I would rather that Mordremoth told my hero about what it was gonna do, than for me to find out little tid bits about it communicating with Scarlet and how crazy she went from what she herd.

I had posted this on the Crafting Forum about a week ago for discussion. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/crafting/Fishing-as-a-Gathering-craft-and-Cooking-500/first#post3655782 But not as many hits since that forum is not heavily visited as this one.

I would simply love a relaxing Gathering craft like fishing added to the game not to mention all the meats that this could bring to Cooking to push it to ascended level.

If fishing were to be added, it should be along the lines of Sword Art Online. High level fishing = World Boss fish event!

Which episode is that from? Or is that a PSP game? I want to see what your reference is like, but the wiki does not point to fishing in the anime or game. Can you link a video or something that has the details?

But heck yes, that’s why I want fishing to not just be node farms, but something when you find a pretty scene with beautiful water you can try your luck at rarer items.
Something else also come to mind a raid type fishing trip….where you form a party and take a boat out into deep water. First start by catching bait used for chum where its a race to catch as many as you can before the timer runs out. After that event is over you set your bait to catch a very large fish that will take more than just rods to land….a special rewards would be needed for something this epic.

Since also on the fact of meats needed for 500 cooking how about PORK being added to the drop table of meats as well. I mean Bacon, of course Bacon, how can we live without Bacon. If there was any question you need to ask, I think Bacon sums up the answer. How about bacon wrapped shrimp, is a recipe that comes to mind that could combine fishing to get the shrimp and getting bacon from one of the many boar running around. Who ever first thought of wrapping something in bacon is a genius. But enough ranting about Bacon, back to the main topic Fishing.

How should Fishing be brought to Guild Wars 2:
First you need to have the gathering tools.
Your Pole + Lure/Bait.
I think the pole should just be a visual that mimics the other gathers when you cast your lure…..the Lure/Bait would work the same as the other Gathering tools do. So worms would be the equivalent of the copper pick and would get a new slot on the hero tab. You would buy these in the same stacks that all the other gathering tools are stacked into.
None of the other current gather crafts have you getting useless items unless you are trying to use the wrong pick to gather from a higher tier node, so apply the same to the lure/bait, you would still catch a fish, but one that had no useful recipes.

Also let us fish anywhere there is water not just nodes. Allow the nodes to catch three to five fish of the types for that tier in the same time it takes to do mining or chopping down a tree. But when you drop your line in an open area you can slow down and take time to fish for really big catches or catch other things like shrimp, crayfish or oysters maybe the ascended item for cooking 500 is caught in this way, with a chance of the fish being the one that got away. The main thing is you can treat it like a regular gather or slow down and enjoy it more like the real thing.

why do you assume i did not comprehend your suggestion?
i comprehend it fine, and i see you suggesting arbitrarily increased complexity in the system, and i dont think thats necessary. and i want to know what your solution to potential gaming of the system would be, cuz idk if youve thought about abuse cases cuz im not in your head.

no need to be rude or frustrated.

At no point in my comment was I trying to be rude to you, the Caps was to show a difference between listing on the tp and selling to a buy order. Which was not meant to be rude, just the clarification between the two types, that yes some of the replies seem to indicate that there is a loss of understanding of how I intended for the system to function. Frustrated I will give you that, as it was easily done when however I explained the idea it seemed that misunderstandings where all around.
Please by all means share your ideas and concerns on how the system as per my suggestion would be infallible and abused.

This would take the gold out of a gold sink and basically give it to flippers.

Please EXPLAIN HOW this will take the gold out of the gold sink? First let me point out that the seller is paying all the taxes not the buyer/flipper. If a Flip is done the buyer/flipper makes his BO offer and pays no taxes on it, then when he has the item and sales it he has to sale it higher than the 15% to make money cause he’s now a seller and has to pay those taxes.
Since we all think we are reading something other than what I am saying…..the gold sink stays the exact same as it is now.

When you LIST an item to sale it gets 5% taken at list time then it sets on the TP until someone buys it then a 10% is taken from the end and you pick up the difference. When you SALE an item to the highest bidder in a Buy Order 5% is taken as you the seller makes the sale(meaning it leaves your possession and goes to the possession of the buyer right then and there)then 10% is taken from the end and you the seller pick up the difference.
That is how this works right now, unless I have some misunderstanding on how it works.

My suggestion:
When you LIST an item to sale it gets 5% taken at list time then it sets on the TP until someone buys it then a 10% is taken from the end and you pick up the difference. When you SALE an item to the highest bidder in a Buy Order 0% is taken as you the seller makes the sale(meaning it leaves your possession and goes to the possession of the buyer right then and there)then 15% is taken from the end and you the seller pick up the difference.

The gold is collected if you LIST to keep you from listing/canceling and listing again and again. The gold is collected from the BO as at the time of sale you will no longer have possession of the item and can not re list the item. Taking the gold after the sale is made, will allow a seller to sale without having to have gold of his own.

what happens when you list 250 of an item for which a buy order of 249 exists

do you disallow this action, take a listing fee for 1, or shift the listing fee to afterwards?

option 3 means you get a free relist, defeating its purpose.

Nothing since we are talking about two different things…..If you LIST an item it goes up on the TP at whatever price you select. The BUYER then can purchase when he sees it. The item leaves your possession when you list thus a Listing fee applies.

If you are SELLING to the highest BUY ORDER you are not LISTING at all, you the seller sees the Buy Order and accept the buyers offer and sell the item(s) to him and the item goes directly to the buyer to be picked up at TPnpc and all taxes are removed from the gold you would receive and you pick up the difference at the TPnpc.

If you are selling 250 of an item to the highest BO then 249 would have the right amount of tax applied to the end and the one left would go to the next highest BO with the right amount of tax applied to the end of that transaction. That is if you just hit sell instead of actually looking at how many said BO are wanted.

I understand the need for a tax for Listing an item and the tax for the actual sell. I do not want to remove these as I see them as necessary.

When you are selling to highest buy order, you the seller have to come up with a listing fee and you do not list the item at all.

If you are lucky enough to come across a high end item you want to get rid of quickly, you are punished and sometimes have to come up with an a very large listing fee just to complete the buy order.

I am suggesting that they keep the listing fee price for all Buy Orders, but move the fee to the end of the transaction. So if you have a item and see a Buy order that you want to sell to, the transaction will take place and then all taxes removed and then you can pick up the difference from a BLTPnpc. So it will not reduce or remove any fee that you are already paying, just place it at the end of the transaction removing the fees from the gold that you get in the end instead of fronting gold.

Why should aoe be easier to see? Currently if youre paying enough attention you can just walk out of the aoe and take zero damage.

Because I am old and can’t see as well as you evidently. Those current circles with the frizzle red lines to show aoe, I do not see them and if there are multiple ones on the ground overlapping each at the same time I can’t not tell where to walk to get out of and take the zero damage to begin with. Coupled with all the particle effects going off at the same time it looks like one big blurr. Also there are the white colored aoe circles that are supposed to represent healing….with all going on I have walked out of that because I could not see the difference between the two colors.

Yes Wildstar Telegraph system looks awesome!!

The new Marionette and Worm fights has these ground targets that to me are way more visible than what we are currently using for all our skills and other areas of the game. If they could update all the old ones to look like these newer version I would be grateful.
as seen here in this video thanks to Dulfy.

Would Teq/Wurm be Better if Instanced?

in The Origins of Madness

Gummy.4278

Why not both?

Have easier, pug friendly and less rewarding versions in the open world and harder, more complex and more rewarding versions as instanced guild missions. It would be similar to the difference between LFR and standard raids in WoW, and guild missions and Teq-style bosses are both intended to be ‘raid style content’.

This….not to mention the one thing I simply hate about GW2 and that is not being able to play the game with my friends(Guildy’s) and the Worms and Marionette and Teq all have put half of a party in one overflow and the other in another and no way to join the main group cause the OF is Full. Nothing is more irritating than spending 20 minutes being the only one sent into overflow and clicking on a guild team members portrait over and over to try and join and the team does not want to move to the overflow as there are not enough players there or the possibility of a failure. So in the end you have to listen in TeamSpeak as they all succeed while you are stuck trying it with people you don’t know or maybe never even see again, and guess what the OF does fail.
