I didnt like to do wvw completion also, but I did it because I wanted the 100% on characters, and that wasn’t that bad, just a quick look at wvw map and if the part I needed was avaiable I ran there.
I didnt have a gun pointed at my face, and neither do you.

If you have no interestest in the game anymore, it’s on you, it’s not because of a stupid reward track or because Anet sucks for not giving you a legendary.
Stop complaining and aim for what is at your range.
If you need a legendary to enjoy the game, then yes you should close it and play something else.

If the boss has 5%, it’s hard to delay depending the boss. If you have eles for example, and aoe are in use, the boss will die, even if everyone stop.

They’re good for PS warrior and that’s all.
A DPS warrior won’t use them, same as a guardian/
Although, Scholar will be great for both Guardian and DPS Warrior, and would be acceptable for PS warrior.
If you have one set, get a scholar set, period.

No shield is the worse in guardian, and how defensive it is ? A kittenty protection duration and a push back. Focus is way ahead.
Mace can be used on mossman for high level fractal to be able to melee him, but the shield, never.

Shield is the worst offhand you can use in guardian. I has its use in warrior but not anymore.
And it was good in engi untill they add the double sigil on two handed weapons, now rifle has superior DPS.
You can forget the shield in PvE. But you can use it in PvP, it’s a good weapon there.

I know you don’t want to range afk, it was just to make a point.
While you’ll be ranging to benefit from the dmg boost (and still get less than melee weapons), the ones in melee range will take all dmg

So you want to afk at range while the party will take dmg for you ?
Having 5 people at melee makes it easier to avoid dmg, since the mobs will rotate targets. If there are only 3, or 2, it will be harder for them to survive.

Melee weapons : good DPS.
Ranged weapons : low DPS.
Of course there are exceptions for some fights, but they are played in melee range anyways.
Having the mobs/boss running around will never help.
And no thanks for kittening bearbow ranger at 1500 range.

The new icebow meta ? There is no such thing, it’s just that a lot of players still don’t know how to use Scepter/Hammer.
I guess for pugging a PS is great, because most of pug can screw up ele’s might stack.
But an ele will bring more dmg.
And you should use arcane brillance and arcane wave, it’s in the might stacking rotation.

A warrior without banners can trait Phalanx and give everyone 25 might just with 1 skill of his greatsword (either whirlwind or 100blades). It takes 1-2 seconds and can be done at every single pull of enemies ane every 8 seconds, making fire-blasting or other might-stacking skills useless. Other players can just focus on different skills or utilities because they won’t ever need to build up might, the warrior alone would give 25 stacks and maintain it for everyone while the fight lasts.

What is wrong is the fact that some people choose for you what team skills you should use instead of the ones that you think it will be better for the group (as example you just said warriors without banners are useless, even if i just proved how wrong that statement is). In my opinnion Phalanx > Banners 90% of the times. You won’t have maximum warrior DPS but you will make everyone else have a lot more damage than you could ever do alone with different traits.

What is even greater about this build is that phalanx won’t show anywhere. You can’t know if the warrior next to you is traited for that because you don’t see a signet/buff/weapon/anything. Kicking a warrior because you don’t know what his traits are would be incredibly stupid (I hope to not offend anyone). Now change all that I said about warriors for any other proffesion and you will probably find a new game.

By the way, same a guardian wall can block all projectiles, a necromancer with his darkness whell can block all melee hits. I never dare to go to fractal lvl 50 without a good necro in my team. Even level 43 or 33 would be harder without one necromancer.

TL;DR You should never judge anyone just because of the skills they choose to bring to a battle.

Yes PS warrior is good, I was just making a point. And still, a PS warrior should bring banner. Why in the world a warrior shouldnt bring dps boost to the team with banners ?
All the speedrun team don’t bring a necro for a reason, if you think you need a necro, there is something wrong with you. Or maybe it’s because you run with a clerir guardian who can’t use aegis.
And I will keep judging people by the skills they use, it works everytime, a good warrior will always bring banners, a good ranger will always get spotter and FS, I don’t care if they are min maxing or just decent, but the line between bad player who doesnt care about the group and decent player who wants to help is clearly visible.

Yeah LB is now on the DPS rotation, instead of GS. RApid fire and barrage got an increased speed so they’re good to use at the start of the fight, before swapping to S/A.

It’s from DnT, this is before the FGS nerf, but calculations were made without it, so they are still up to date I guess.
And rangers are in a good position now, some speedrun guilds use them in every teams.
The thing is, as I said earlier, pugs don’t know how good a ranger in a team is, so no matter how good of a ranger you are, there will be always people thinking you are bad because you are a ranger, and most of them will be staff guardians and camping GS warriors, how ironic

aahh this LB stereotype..tell me..in what shortbow or mainhand axe are better? lb is actually good switch for cripple+vuln on fight start, then swap to sword (or even gs if you cant manage to stay alive on sword/whatever)

the biggest problem, that dont want to go away is warrior mentality. lfg is full of 3-4 warriors parties (when 2 is acceptable maximum, best 1 with 2 banners) that i dont even try to join, as its mostly disaster. and noone mentions this on forums

I don’t think so. You chosed your stats when you took the exotic one. They won’t change after that.

The thing is, if they put an infusio slot, or make it ascended, it will become account bound, and people won’t be able to sell it.
They maybe can add a mystic forge recipe to upgrade mystic forge item to make them ascended but no make them account bound in any way.

Yeah careful with Guard, bringing defensive gear won’t help.

If you can’t survive in zerker, learn to. It’s not a solution to use a crappy stat because you can’t and don’t want to dodge.
And till people can’t uderstand that to survive in zerk you just have to learn the mecanics, they will still suck because their kittenty soldier gear will cover their mistakes.
A lot of people do lvl 49/50 fractals with a full zerk team without any problem, and much faster than those people who think they help with their cleric/soldier/celestial gear.

Well, they kicked you because they sucked, and probably play their ranger the bearbow way. If the team lacked DPS on shaman, it wasn’t your fault if you are a zerker. It was their.
I would never kick a sword FS spotter ranger, it’s another story if it’s a bearbow camping at 1500 range.

The thing is, it’s easy to stack in a corner and use FGS, no matter your AP’s or you rtime playing the game. The difference is when something different happens, most people can’t react and kitten up the fight. Like in AC P2, when for any reason we can’t kill the boss on the only trap, how many people don’t wipe and can activate a second trap in fight ? It’s not just about the spot and ways, it’s about why you do this, and that a lot of people don’t know that, because they were told to stand here and fight.
And all those things, you get them with time, and the AP thing can be a filter for that, there is not really another thing that can tell you that someone is used to play.
Of course there is 3k Eles that can stack better than other, and you can see a lot of staff guardians with 10k AP too.
I don’t see the 5k AP requirement as a way to get rid of those guys with 3/4k AP, but those with 1k or so, who clearly don’t know a lot about their class and mechanics.
