The NPE basically pushed back unlocks by 10 levels, but also made leveling from 1 to about 13 around 10x faster.

Unlocking a weapon was fine the first time, but it just became a grind. Finding a new weapon only to have 1 skill unlocked was simply annoying. It was even worse when you played a class like an elementalist, where you had to unlock each attunement. It took about 40 kills to unlock the 5 skills at early levels and depending on how you played, it could take minutes at a populated event, or hours if you were more of an explorer. You could run through what is now the first chapter of the personal story for example, and barely get enough kills to unlock your weapon.
At 80, I remember people not even having their underwater skills unlocked in dungeons and personally, I remember not having them all unlocked in Orr.
DX9. The Mac version uses Cider, which is basically WINE. They did however say they were working on an actual Mac client.
A low level maxed equipped character is fairly equal to a downscaled 80. Both can pretty much kill regular enemies instantly.

Your suspension is permanent until support deals with it. The reason you were suspended was due to fraud. The problem is, you purchased a key from someone who purchased it through buy.guildwars2.com, but then forcibly charged it back. ArenaNet has a fairly strict policy against chargebacks, where they’ll simply close the account, and they’ll usually only help in cases like this.
Living world seasons take place over a year. The next expansion will likely be announced after season 3, so in roughly a year, and it could be released at any time after that, from ~3 months to a year at most. A 2-3 year cycle is fairly average. This would also mean that the recent 50% off sale was the last push to get people to buy, assuming they offer refunds again.

Nope, I’ve watched them perform the animation while I was stealthed.
Once an ability starts to cast, its target is locked. You have to be stealthed the moment they decide to throw at it, which is maybe a second before their throwing animation. If you stealth before then or stay stealthed, you’ll notice that they won’t target you.

They can throw them at you when you’re stealthed because they had already thrown them at you. Their range is so far that the rocks can take several seconds to reach you. If you stay stealthed, they’ll eventually stop.

Masteries are region based, so you don’t need every mastery, just all of them for whichever region you’re playing in. You may get XP again in HoT/Tyria, but not in Tyria/HoT.
The only thing i really cant stand are the Adventures, what wouldnt be a big deal if they didnt decided to put Mastery Points behind it……
With more points added in season 3, adventures are basically optional now, with only 1 point needed from them. Masteries themselves are mostly optional however, so skip the useless ones, like Nuhoch Alchemy, and it’ll be a far more casual experience.
Under the build section of the hero panel (where your traits are selected), the last trait slot identified by the gold border is for elite specializations. Elite skills and weapons can only be equipped when the elite specialization is.
As for Medic’s Feedback, the specialization the trait is linked to must be equipped and the trait needs to be selected in order to use it.

they could have set that situation up for those that want to figure it out by themselves and for those that wanted help.
If they were going to spell it out for you, they should simply use the original help popups. After a minute of not destroying the crystals for example, it should point to the new skill, with a basic description of what to do.
What I was saying it was put in content that only a subset of the population does then added to the story without explanation because ANet forgot that there are people who’ve never seen this before and therefore wouldn’t automatically know what to do.
You’re expected to be able to figure it out. When you first reach the crystals, the NPCs state that you’ll need to clear a path and ask if you have any tricks, hinting that you have the (new) ability. The lack of enemies in the area was to get you to focus on this and figure out the new skill. The sound effect should also help you to realize when the skill pops up. If you move around during this part, you should also notice the beam following you, which should have made the dialogue in the next part – how to break the shields – fairly obvious. If you didn’t notice however, you should know that the crystals are required in order to break the shields, since not only do the NPCs tell you, but the event UI does also, plus this time, they’re marked by the event. Eventually, you should notice the beam and realize what the NPCs meant or accidentally break them by simply running between the crystals to use the ability.

The one I’m referring to was this Living Story. The final episode had you using the special skill to break the mobs invulnerability, but no instructions on how to use the skill.
There’s a small tutorial just before the boss where the NPCs talk about what to do.
I’m assuming you installed GW2 to Program Files, which is as protected directory and why it wants administrative privileges. You can simply move the Guild Wars 2 folder to another location to avoid that problem.

The difficulty is highly dependent on what you’re playing. A glass necromancer or ranger for example is trivial, whereas a glass elementalist is hard mode in comparison. When you only have ~11k health, there are many regular enemies that can easily take you down.
Camp the shard spawns and spam pickup to delete them, denying the NPCs from gathering them. I doubt the scaling matters as long as there’s enough people to camp all the spawns.

The IPs of the asset servers change over time, as GW2 uses a CDN service provided by Amazon. drwkwiejruot6.cloudfront.net is the alternative domain name to assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com.

Considering the timing, your payment likely failed. If you haven’t played in 2 years however, they may think the account was hacked. Suspended for an “account issue” basically means that you need to contact support to fix a problem.
And even worse… your ticket is only highlighted after 3 days… what?
Tickets are answered in the order they were received. Support can get back to you at any time, from a few hours to a few days. Since a major patch was just released however, support is likely dealing with a lot of tickets. The 3 day thread is because they expect to be get back to you within 3 days, otherwise you post there to get them to recheck your ticket.
It’s the flaw of the mastery system. The problem is, they want you to play through the content. If it was a HoT mastery, you would have been able to practically unlock it instantly. To counter that, they would have had to introduce a new Bloodstone mastery section, which they should have done all around to separate the different types of content (raids, fractals and legendaries for example should have had their own sections).
This doesn’t seem to be a new install issue because if it is then the OP downloaded the wrong client as the download page clearly lists 64-bit and an optional 32-bit one (and Mac).
They were trying to install Gw2Setup.exe. Both the 32 and 64-bit installers will only install Gw2-64.exe on a 64-bit OS. The only way to get Gw2.exe is by renaming Gw2Setup.exe, which will then support the -32 option.
Download Gw2Setup.exe/Gw2Setup-64.exe (whichever you were using), rename it to Gw2.exe/Gw2-64.exe and overwrite your old one.
When ANet made it official and chained the two exes, it’s assumed everyone still had the 32-bit exe and simply made a new shortcut to the 64-bit.
Gw2Setup.exe will only install Gw2-64.exe on a 64-bit OS.
The down state is there because everyone was supposed to be a self sufficient hybrid with the down state potentially making everyone play the role of the healer. If they removed it, not only would that mean buffs to general survivability, especially for the paper professions, but it’d also likely lead to the reintroduction to monks, though they’ve already started on that path.
Fully run Windows update, install DirectX and update your graphics drivers.
Have you played any other (3D) games? You didn’t mention what your graphics card is. If you don’t have one and are using whatever the motherboard had, you might not meet the minimum requirements.
You may be able to get more information out of the crash by using the Event Viewer > Windows Logs.
He/she is using the 64-bit client (which is default) and only has a 32-bit OS.
A 32-bit OS can’t understand a 64-bit program. Rename a .txt file to .exe and try to run it. That’s what’ll happen.
GW2 doesn’t use spyware like some other games to detect client-side software. They instead track your actions server-side, so as long as you’re not actually cheating, it’s unlikely that anything will happen. If you were banned however, it’d only be for 24-72 hours as your first offence. Even in the worst possible case, which is for repeat exploiters, botters and the like, a “permanent” suspension is limited to 6 months.
GW2 is highly dependent on the CPU, so when it’s running, open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and ensure that there’s no other high CPU processes running.
You can try disabling all non-essential services and programs. Press WindowsKey+R and open msconfig. Under the general tab, select selective startup and uncheck startup items. Under the services tab, check hide all from Microsoft, then click disable all. Ok and reboot. If you want to go all the way, clean install Windows 10, especially if you did the upgrade.
I’ve seen people claim that re-installing DX9 helped, though re-installing DX can’t be normally done. You can use the command “sfc /scannow” as an administrator to instead verify the files.

Also check for Documents/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat, since if it exists, it’ll take priority. You’ll know if you deleted the right file however since your graphics settings will return to the defaults and be in full screen mode.
Others with a 900 series GPU on Windows 10 have complained about NVidia’s recent drivers causing poor performance with GW2. Try some of the older drivers and also ensure that you GPU is in the proper slot and at x16.
You can try deleting your Local.dat file, which is where your hardware related settings are stored. It can become bloated over time, which can affect performance. The file is located at %appdata%/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat by default, and may also be found at Documents/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat.
For Windows 10, ensure that the xbox app hasn’t been enabled and is recording in the background.
You’ll need to contact support for the actual reason. You may also want to contact your bank/card to ensure that they’re not blocking the transaction.
The idea is that you should be able to just login and do it. These events aren’t balanced for full maps; not even half, though you won’t be able to AFK and win. When people are unwilling to even try, it only worsens the problem.
If they were to implement queuing, they should separate the events, making these larger metas/bosses their own type of content in their own areas. Like activities, they should be something that you join with the sole intention of doing. This way, everyone there is only there to participate and these events can be balanced around specific numbers.
Once a skin is unlocked, it is permanently located in the wardrobe. Using the wardrobe, you can apply unlocked skins to a worn piece of equipment at the cost of 1 transmutation charge. Skins, as an item type, also still exist, which can be applied directly and at no cost. The horns were originally a skin, which you may have used, otherwise you must have either used the wardrobe or maybe equipped a different item. Assuming you changed the skin, you’re going to have to use the wardrobe to apply the skin you want. Transmutation charges can be obtained through map completion, by doing any of the cities.
If you have older transmutation charges stashed away, back when they were items, you can also use them to convert them to the newer transmutation charges.
Ensure that your GPU is in slot closest to the CPU and running at 16×. It’s been a fairly common problem here and although it doesn’t affect other games much, GW2 really doesn’t like it.
Some people have had issues with NVidia’s latest drivers. You may want to try some older versions.
If your system drive is full (< 1GB), it can greatly reduce performance as Windows tries to compensate.

Liadri was already trivialized due to the life steal exploit, which allowed her to be killed during the first phase. It became fairly well known during the second release.
Some thought the big patch would be today, but that’s unlikely now after MO’s announcement. Considering their usual 2 week Tuesday releases, the 26th is the next, though they have pushed back patches to the end of the week before.
There’s no problem with owning multiple accounts or using multiple accounts on the same computer or at the same time. Running multiple clients on the same computer at the same time however cannot be done normally. What they don’t allow is software to control multiple clients at the same time, as in cloning your key inputs to each individual client.
They have converted items in the past. They could also add a vendor to exchange them if they really wanted to.

It could be. If ArenaNet only wanted to support fan translations, you wouldn’t be able to use the fonts anywhere else. They wouldn’t even need to implement the fonts themselves, only the ability to add your own, essentially supporting any language.
Translating the game is probably already possible. You could for example modify the strings in Gw2.dat and the existing font.
Technically, it’s not allowed, but really, nothing’s going to happen. Simply use a “do while pressed” macro with a ~50ms delay and tap the key.
Some use a mouse wheel to ‘double click’, as well as other methods.

I’ve seen other MMOs do this to make dailies more casual friendly. In short, dailies would reset weekly, allowing you to complete 7 dailies per week. In some cases, the dailies would also be staggered so you couldn’t complete them all at once, unless you waited until the last day.
If they were going to fix JPs, they would have done so with HoT. They could have easily made them like adventures. You could still park at other chests however, which is probably why HoT is full of smaller chests. They could however prevent all parking if they really wanted to, by having hidden reset factors, such as a damage or distance travelled threshold.
The problem with being in WvW with no intention of WvWing is that the population is based on the number of participants and the slots are limited.
HoT in the usual dead map. I’ve seen people request help for hero challenges for hours. It’s the reason I haven’t bothered with HoT map completion on alts.

Once the living world season starts, they may also tack the price on to HoT to justify keeping the price higher, similar to how the heroic edition was released a year after launch.
Through 3rd parties, you can rarely find it for ~$25, usually from retailers clearing out the physical boxes. You can commonly find it for $30-$40, though, that’s not anything special considering HoT could be found for $34 a month into pre-purchasing. DLGamer for example always has it on sale, varying from ~15 to 30% off every few weeks, which is currently at $38.
In ~6 months, I wouldn’t recommend buying it through 3rd parties however, as the next expansion should be revealed in a little over a year, 2 at most.
Oddly, I also got Gw2Setup.exe from that link, then tried it again and got Gw2Setup.dmg.
So… what’s the problem?
If you can login to the forums, you can login to your account. If you changed ISPs, you changed your IP, which will require authorizing it through whichever authentication method you chose, either email (default), SMS or an authenticator. If you were using an email account provided by your ISP, and this is why you never do this, you will need to contact support with proof of ownership (serial, payment history, previous email address) to change your account’s email.
