I aint even gotten beyond the wardrobe and equiptment screen fiasco and I’m already considering un-installing this joke! I equipted form the wardrobe to Ele and the Sorcerer’s coat, legs, and shoes that she had on disappeared, and those cost a helluva lot of gold! When using wardrobe items that are not in my bankbox I have to transmute everytime I want to equipt with them. On the char stat screen there’s nothing that shows what your attack power is.

I was so looking forward to this patch and now I’m disgusted. Did you folks at Anet give any thought to this stuff, or test it? I guess we, the customers, are the testers, as usual!

After logging in, I came to the conclusion that you were changing it from the wardrobe tab instead of the equipment tab.

My equiptment tab only has weapons, not duds.

If I have to transmute everytime I want to change out a item, I’m going to be un-installing this game real kittening quick!

If we have to transmute everytime we change gear this wardrobe system is already a epic FAIL!!!

No aggressive mobs anywhere near after I’ve killed the one(s) I was fighting yet I’m stuck in combat mode, once for almost 4 minutes. (I timed it) Plus I’ve moved a very long way from where the fight was, at the ridiculous slow plod that you’re reduced to when in combat mode, before it stopped.

Ridiculous male faces

Last month it seems that the Norn gain the ability to have a HUGE waxed moustache as part of their character creation. Which is awesome.

However, the Male Humans are still left with very few option for facial hair. Its either “chin fluff” of “full Moses”. Anybody else yearning for more bigger and better human facial hair beard/moustache combos?

I get the impression that Anet gave little thought and/or effort to Human face and hairstyles, like it was a hurried up afterthought. After seeing the wide variety of faces and hairstyles that the other races have that’s the only conclusion that I can come to.

This being my first f2p/b2p mmo that I actually stuck with and held out to see it grow has definitely put the nail in the coffin for me w/these kind of pay models (in general, some quick cash grabs as submodel).

Focused towards big release sales, and lousy followup. They retain a small niche crowd out of the mmo community that are anti-sub model and believe free is best, and the mmo player who enjoys pulling out his/her credit card spending hundreds a month on digital items.

These blacklist mmo companies are spread far too thin to focus on any one mmo for proper content, bugs, & balance needed for growth.

NCsoft
Guild Wars
Guild Wars 2
Aion
Blade&Soul
Lineage
Wildstar

SOE
DCUO
PlanetSide2
Dragon’s Prophet
EverQuest Next
and many more in the block package not worth the mention

EA
SWTOR
Secret World
Warhammer
and the countless other titles “supported”

Trion
Rift
Defiance
Archeage

Perfect World
NeverWinter
Jade Dynasty
Forsaken World
Star Trek online
Champions Online
and many more not worth the mention

Even if you enjoy the current standard of these companies, you can also agree they’re spread far too thin w/way too much development focused towards the digital store.

As a player since BWE2 this “break” shows me what? Dungeon master, fotm farm til 44, six level 80’s, WvW, all crafting to 400, crafting 500×3, Legendary….what else is their to do? This is what clearly stands out of no new substantial content. Now if we were 6months into the game I would say you rushed through take a break, 1year 7months reasonable to be where Im at.

Hell, anytime I see a game with the “Electronic Arts” logo on it, it has the same effect on me as showing a crucifix to a Vampire. I’ll NEVER waste my time with ANYTHING that EA is in any way associated with.

Players will also gravitate towards these kinds of simple mindless loot opportunities when they are in the game.

So what’s wrong with that?

Unfortunately, this leaves many other engaging group events in the world untouched and other zones desolate.

No, that’s because there’s nothing to do in most zones. Cursed Shore is dead mostly because Anet made pent/shelt undoable and nerfed Plinx.

While I applaud the players resilience for staying with such a dull manifestation of the game, I feel Anet should take an approach akin to paternalism* and remove the Queens zerg, in order to force change and diversity.

And what “change and diversity” would that be? Maybe to try out another MMO that dos’nt punish it’s playerbase for making in game gold?

This may upset some players, who feel they should be able to play how they want to play, but sometimes the world demands an authority or organization to guide us gently towards perfection.

We should be able to play the game as we wish as long as it’s within the game mechanics, that’s the whole idea of a MMO! And what’s “perfection”? Hanging around in Lion’s Arch styling in one’s town clothes?

Who is with me?

LOL!

**"Paternalism" comes from the Latin pater, meaning to act like a father, or to treat another person like a child, limiting some person or group’s liberty or autonomy for their own good.

Any MMO that limits what players can do “for their own good” aint going to have many players for long.

I think that would make for some interesting and fun gameplay as well, like back in Shadowbane where AoE’s where used with caution.

Oh, how I remember that! You had to use some judgement in using AoEs in SB instead of spamming them like in GW2. Hell, I think I got killed almost as often by “friendly” AoEs in big battles as from enemy actions.

This would certainly make the WvW in GW2 more interesting and require more skill and judgement.

So lvl 90 coming soon?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Huck.1405

Huck.1405

There’s no valid reason to increase the level cap. The present cap of 80 has already driven people who might have played GW2 away, 3 of my nephews for example, and I almost decided not to for that reason. So upping the level cap is not going to draw more new players and will certainly drive off many present players.

Game changes should be geared to entice people to play the game and continue to play the game, not drive them off. And a new leveling and gear grind will not draw and keep players.

Nerfs and Unsatisfactory Reward System

in Suggestions

Posted by: Huck.1405

Huck.1405

ANet is in this to make money, giving people good rewards is counter-intuitive to making money. They want people to use the gem store.

There it is! And that, IMHO, is why many of the bugs in this game hav’nt been fixed and why things like particle effect scaling hav’nt been done. Anet’s more concerned about creating junk for gems in the gemstore instead of fixing what needs fixing and improving gameplay.

And… IMHO, they’ll continue to nerf in game ways to make gold so that we’ll be forced to buy gold with gems. By the time that happens I’ll be long gone.

How about eliminating the weak looking mask and calling it “Invader’s Rawhide Hat” instead? And make some of these Medium armor chestpieces as a SHIRT and not a bulky ankle slapping coat. ok?
