My god guys why do you even have that much crap in your bank in the first place? The skins I understand, but materials? Seriously? For what possible reason would you ever hoard so many of anything? Just craft up the gear you want for your characters and then SELL the left over junk.
Honestly, do you really need enough clutter in your bank to make a legendary weapon ten times over?
Depending on what crafts you are leveling, it may require you to have far more materials than what is possible to stack. Especially if you’re in the mist of crafting ascended weapons, and it will get worse when ascended armor comes out.
I still highly doubt that you actually need enough materials to fill twelve bank tabs.
I have 10 bank tabs now and only 1 and ½ have empty slots, I farm and provide mats to my guild-mates(I am the go-to guy in my guild for help in this area when needed) as well as my own crafting initiative, so, I NEED more than most because of this.

ANet themselves have said that the forum users are a ‘vocal minority’.
Which means the news of the change was only reaching a minority of the players. Announcement of the changes were not made in game any where so the ‘silent majority’ could be informed.
They said only a vocal minority is POSTING on the forums, far more people are reading them. The news was also documented as a blog post on the website, not only on the forums. A link to that blogpost was in the game launcher every time you logged in.
Well not everyone pays attention to the game launcher do they. Not everyone visits the website regularly and look up for the news do they.
Then that is the users fault not ANETs. Even if a letter were sent out via your areas postal service, these people would probably crumple it up and toss it in the trash bin. Ignorance is bliss.
Nope i don’t call that ignorance.I called that a small mistake which could be solved easily.Unless ANET decides do give him two mini Jennahs as compensation
I do, but, meh, time to “Play GW2”. Have fun.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Stack size SHOULD HAVE been much larger from the beginning. This was BEGGED FOR in GW1 for several years only to fall on deaf ears, so, it’s VERY DOUBTFUL it will happen here which is sad.

Not necessarily more but is equally as important.

You know, I can see where it could be enjoyable, with some minor changes. The closest WP shouldn’t be contested – a 1 minute run during a 15 minute fight is a ball breaker. Matter of fact, 15 minutes is kind of short, and really the biggest difficulty to it – stretch it to 20 or 30 minutes.
If they fix the bug with the blue wave of death (the actual death/knockback isn’t synced with the blue wave), and did the above two, it’d be an entirely enjoyable experience. As it is, it’s far, far too much work for the lack of reward offered.
I wonder if you fight tequatl for the sake of having a fun experience or you’re just completely on loot. So yeh they gone through all the hard work to make it hard and you say meh loot not good enough so i don’t care if its hard or not.
I too think the fight was epic, fun and challenging, BUT, the reward for such a demanding cooperative effort was a bit on the “MEH” end of the scale of rewards for such effort given and now that the achievements have been made, MOST, will probably never do it again.
So experience is only a one time thing. Loot makes you come back for moar am i right
It was fun, but, if I put the same effort in my usual gathering/mining escapades I’m rewarded twice the loot then my answer would be yes. Make the reward at least equal to the effort given and people will return, it’s human nature.
So game play is not important getting loots and rewards is fun.
No, game-play is fun and the rewards ARE or at least should be important. I play for the fun and reward for accomplishing things.

Now this poor sir here made a mistake not reading the updates and is his fault o.o
Not reading the updates? This was hyped for months. Everyone and his grandmother was aware of this change.
Well there is always a 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance that a unlucky soul missed it. Like Mr.Collin who had a 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% chance of messing up.
There’s nothing unlucky about it. If you have missed all the blogs, all the forum discussions, all the map chat discussions, for several months… there’s definitely something wrong on your end.
Nope, like i said there is always a special case. Anet support are just plain lazy to go through all the troubles to fix his problem.
It was entirely his fault, ignorance of the WELL DOCUMENTED AND DISCUSSED changes is no excuse. This is like telling a judge during a, let’s say speeding ticket, but your honor I didn’t see the speed limit sign, judges reply would be ignorance of the law that has been well documented and publicized with signs posted in plain view is no excuse, sorry.

…I hadn’t even noticed
I never noticed either until I watched the video, it’s only not as bright. JEEZ, why all the TRIVIAL complaints these days.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Everyone seems to think more loot is better for everyone all the time. In fact is isn’t. If Anet needs to keep introducing new currencies because the old ones are broken (millions of karma, thousand skill points) then it’s not good for players in the long run.
And no I’m not farming champions. Just trying to get some dragonite I’m still getting a lot of these scrolls.
So, just USE THEM add to your skill points. Quit complaining about trivial, easily dealt with things. Problem solved.

love the false info here… max you can get per salvage is 3 ectos per item. 7 items times 3 = 21e at most…. gg
I used a black lion salvage kit last week on 4 exotics and 3 rares and got 24 ecto from it, so no, I don’t see a decrease, I see an increase!!
I iz in your salvage kitz stealingz all your ectoz!
Exotics give 0 to 5 ecto Rares give 0 to 3, so the 24 is VERY DOABLE.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Don’t know about the ecto, just got 10 from 18 LvL 80 exotics, BUT, got ZERO Dark Matter using BLSK, so, I think there is a problem there.

In my humblest of opinions UW, FoW and DoA is 10X more fun, better and more challenging than Fractals or anything else that has been put in GW2.

I realize this has been brought up before but we have had a couple of posts that have had responses that tell us other suggestions and wants are being looked at or in the works so I thought I would mention it again in hopes that maybe we can get a response that a pve locker of some sort is being looked at or worked on.
I have every exotic armor I have ever gotten for my characters, some of them I have armors that are not exotic but you cannot get from crafting or the tp (commando, a few karma armors, ect). As of right now it takes up bag space and bank space for me to keep these. For my mesmer I have been collecting dungeon armors and what I have for her so far takes up 2 bank slots. I have started leveling a warrior and am enjoying her just as much that I would consider getting the armors for her as well, but where do I put them!?
So just another post to beg for something to put all these armors in. I earned them and I don’t want to salvage them because if I ever decided that I wanted to use them again then I am looking at about a month to gain them again. If I have more than 1 character that I am willing to spend the time go get the skins on I have no space for anything else
I understand it is a choice to keep them and earn them but I think there should be someway to store them better than is available. Again I know all this has been stated before but I wanted to post again since we are seeing new things added and maybe this is being looked at?
We have a PvE locker, It’s call our personal bank space.

Who in their right mind is going to sit there and just keep #1 skill on auto-attack without using all of those wonderful other skills we have(all of 4 other SKILLS). The only time I’m spamming #1 is while waiting on the cool-downs from all our other skills activations.
I only spam one in zergs when it’s pretty pointless to try anything else.
LOL! I use all my skills, zerg or no zerg, BUT I do spam 1 while waiting on the ST00PID skill cooldowns. Why is it pointless to use other skills? This puzzles me.

tl;dr — We’re not even paying subscription fees! Why are people complaining about content in a (after you pay a flat price) free game?
Some people’s kids..
I’ve spent about 150€ on the game box and gem store so far.
So can I complain now?
I say no, because, buying the game was a CHOICE not a necessity and the gems purchase is even worse, no-one forced you into those choices.
That’s a pretty nice attitude. Let’s say you walk into a consumer electronics store and buy a new TV. After one year the TV starts showing errors in the picture, it stutters and sound lags behind.
No one forced you to buy the TV so you have no right to complain, right?
That’s called a warranty, GW2 has no such implied warranty and is clearly written in the ToS. Read them, I did.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
I stopped spending my Karma since the nerf, because getting Karma from this stingy game is a joke now. I see Karma being needed for something coming in the near future so they added Karma as a new grind for this future.

Just what is WvW if not guilds at war.
And if you wanna look at it that way, there’s that, too.
(Ya did read my whole response and know I was agreeing the title was okay, right?)
Yes, but, it’s not just ok, it’s spot on.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
Yer right, the first game had a place where Guilds could fight and so it was called “Guild Wars” and a history was built up around that to explain why they were fightin’ and how it all began.
The second game doesn’t have warring guilds anymore, they decided wvw was cooler – maybe it is, I dunno – but it happens in the same world as the first game, with all the same races, same lore, and a hugely developed background created over the course of the first 3+ games. What would they call that game, if not Guild Wars 2? “Return ta the setting of guild wars 1, but – ya know – without guild fights this time”? That’s a pretty long and clunky kitten title.
What we got was a re-envisioning of the game; this time as a real MMO with a different focus. But – and here’s where ya should be kicking yerself – they never made a secret of that. The game was in the news for 5 years or more, with plenty of info for anyone what just took a gander. The game’s been out for a year, so it isn’t like ya couldn’t have done a little research before buying it … if ya jumped in blind, that’s your own fault.
There’s still pvp; there’s still even squad based pvp. (I suppose you could run around by yourself, if ya really wanted to) Being in a guild makes most things in the game easier – just like in any mmo – but they’ve even got guild only content, missions and puzzles etc, in this one. (which I haven’t seen in every mmo)
Does the game have Guilds? (You can make a 1 person guild if you want) Check. Does the game have Wars? (well the whole story is about a war, so) Check. And the game has plenty of factions to go around.
I get the name is confusing if you don’t know any of the lore, but it’s all there to find if you look just a little.
Just what is WvW if not guilds at war.
Mud Bone – Sylvari Ranger
So many people don’t know their lore
That’s not really the point of all this.
The fact is that the name “Guild Wars” is very misleading when the game does not have any wars between guilds in it.
Misleading product names are borderline illegal in most countries.
See what I mean…..this guy doesn’t know his lore either lol.
The Guild Wars was the name of an event in GW history that actually happened…has nothing to do with in-game guilds being able to fight.
I know where the name comes from lol.
It doesn’t change the fact the name is misleading lol.
Lol.
Please explain what is misleading about the game name, it’s very clear to me having played since the beginning of the original Guild Wars.
And you are conveniently ignoring that the original Guild Wars did indeed have GvG?
Also, you need to consider buyers that have not played the original Guild Wars. What do you think they expect in a game titled “Guild Wars 2”?
If you want to get technical about it, just what would you call WvW but GvG on an epic scale so your argument is moot and wrong on an epic scale.

Well, maybe, as in GW1, you would choose from the five instances which you’d like your guild hall to be.

Most likely, when they are ready.
Guild Halls as in GW1 would suit me fine, but using our home instance would work, as well.
That wouldn’t work to well since everyone in the guild aren’t the same.

I got over 100 yesterday – 5 alts at 80 – each jumping puzzle in LA and a quick run of CoF on my main. I think I pulled in 124. Add in more jumping puzzles from over the world and I would have pulled in more.
However I do dislike that I have to spend this much time doing it each day, but then again I have an edge having multiple 80’s. A lot of others do as well though.
What about the people who have no inclination to do dungeons or jumping puzzles FOR WHATEVER REASON would like an ascended weapon but are left out in the cold, if they are really wanting one of those items they are BEING FORCED into content they do not wish to be a part of and GOES AGAINST ANETs claim that you can PLAY THE GAME THE WAY YOU WANT. Yes I am getting an Ascended weapon.
edit on TC there are people almost round the clock porting people up to all the jp’s in LA. Save yourself a lot of time and I usually get 9 off sharkmaw alone. No jumping involved.
Thank you but I’m almost there and only 200 fragments away from this [&AgGktwAA].

So called next generation mmo that doesn’t even have an in game macro system? More like next generation mmo joke.
GW2 DOES HAVE an in game macro system, although pretty useless as a REAL macro since it is still a one skill/ability per one keypress more akin to a simple keybind setup.

I’ve been spending 2-3 hours a day running around looting chests in the open world / doing a single JP for the last 4 daily CD’s and have over 1400 fragments – so that is probably about 10ish hours of work for almost 3 weapons worth.
Care to give the exact breakdown? 2-3hrs a day ONLY opening chests + 1 JP sounds about right as for 1400 I would like to see how even with alts.
Unless this is the guy that said he has 42 alts on 2 accounts in the how many alts do you have thread.

so. 6150 karma was traded for 50 luck.
I don’t need luck.
Please, ANET, turn all of my 65% luck into karma for at the same ratio, and turn any luck i gain into karma instead.
