My bad. I’ve never made a HoT Legendary, and I didn’t remember (if I was even ever aware) that it required full Mastery completion. Ooops.

The latest maps have had a graphical update. You might have noticed Draconis Mons looks a bit different than original maps.

Both, sort of. There are seasonal/event sales, and sometimes the items you list go on sale.

Also, items can go on sale during times other than seasonal sales.

You’ll get a 1-time use skin which can be applied to any matching weapon without using a transmutation charge.

When you use it the skin will also be unlocked in your wardrobe which will allow you to use it as many times as you like, but you’ll have to use a transmutation charge.

(It’s exactly the same if you get it directly from a chest – the skin isn’t unlocked in the wardrobe until you apply it the first time, or choose to save it in the wardrobe – basically they want to make sure you can’t unlock it in your wardrobe and then sell it on.)

Unless, of course, when acquiring a skin from a Black Lion Chest it is from the Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlock. In that case, it is automatically unlocked, and you must use a Transmutation Charge to use the skin, even the very first time.

You still receive the Daily Log-in Chest, and when accepted the window for Dailies appears, whether you are capped or not. You also receive the notice of 10 AP when finishing 3 Dailies, even though you don’t actually receive the 10 AP.

Thus, in your case, prepare to be annoyed.

I’m not sure the cap was there from day one. Way back, some players used the (at the time) unlimited Agent of Entropy Achievement to garner 20,000+ points. It was early in the life of the game; I’m pretty sure they hadn’t racked up 5,000 APs in Monthlies.

Only if it is available in the Gem Store right now.

The CS Team doesn’t sell items; thus, they won’t give you something unavailable and take Gems for it.

I believe Mastery Insights are Achievements. Thus, all Mastery Points in HoT are Achievements?

And, if all Mastery Points are Achievements, then it’s a debate over which Achievements are considered easy, and which are not. Probably won’t get a consensus on that.

I noticed, awhile before the loss of Power of the Mists, that I gathered 10 items from Rich Veins with only 3 strikes (i.e. stopped needing that fourth swing). I thought it odd, but nothing worth reporting or posting about. Perhaps, a change happened back then to gathering in general. /shrug

I believe the consensus was it is mostly due to the removal of Power of the Mists and RNG. Also, depending on the Gathering Tool used (some incorporate extra strikes in the initial animation).

I often see threads/posts asking for better balance. Rarely see any asking for balance to be thrown out the window, so that will probably not be added in any up-coming expansions/releases.

It would seem to be a nightmare for both Devs and players.

Haven’t use my L80 Boost, but I have several Celebratory and Jubilant Dye Packs (maybe 10 – 12?) in the bank. I’ve yet to decide on which dyes I want, but from the few I have used, I chose some Enameled Dyes and one or two from the Bloodstone Dye Pack.

I am happy with them, because I tried them out before choosing.

Some chose (back when the Celebratory Dye Pack was first released) based on cost, so Electros were very popular. Here’s a list (with current values):

Here is a Dev response about Server population:

A “Full” server is a server with a number of Active WvW Players (as defined by the algorithm) above a certain threshold. It has nothing to do with hardware limitations, or PvE players.

The “Full” threshold is slightly different than the other ones because it doesn’t have an upper limit. So some servers can be just slightly above the threshold and marked “Full”, and some other servers might be well over it, and also marked “Full”, even though their populations aren’t really balanced.

The intent is that since you can’t join or transfer to a “Full” server, their populations are going to diminish over time, until eventually they reach “Very High” again. At this point, all “Full” servers are going to be balanced. This won’t be right away, though, since we’re not kicking anyone out of their servers.

It could be some time (weeks/months) before the population changes on a Server. It will only change during resets or match-ups.

Yes, there are differences between NA and EU CD Keys. His key should match his account, which has nothing to do with which server he chose. Upgraded Play4Free accounts get one free server transfer, as well (at creation/upgrade, I believe).

Well… Perhaps the biggest problems I can see for these suggestions would be for Guild Alliances (may require a rewrite of the guild coding) and the Guild List. (Calls to the server for the entire list may cause huge load problems.)

Indeed. The CD Key merely unlocks all the features. Everyone’s .dat file is up-to-date, no matter the version.

Are you referring to the Play4Free version? That has many restrictions compared to a paid account.

As I said, Heart of Thorns includes the base game, Guild Wars 2. Thus, if purchasing, it would be a waste to only purchase Guild Wars 2, if you can find a copy of the game.

I think the ‘I don’t want to do Dailies to keep up’ was mainly the lament from long ago, when players could do every Daily offered for points for each one. I think the change to Do-3-and-get-maximum-APs removed that.

If it is still a concern, then I don’t know what to think, considering how little time it takes to complete 3 Dailies.

Well, one never knows. I guess we will all find out when the expansion is announced, and details are released.

Since no other Masteries affect WvW, I would not expect the upcoming ones to.

I don’t know. If spending more than the cost of the game upsets you, I can’t imagine having to spend to play a game you already bought doesn’t upset you, as well.

No one is forcing anyone to purchase Black Lion Keys. What about those players that get the Permanent Contract items in their first key, or first 5 keys? Then, the cost for the item is $5. How about those that never get one? Then, the cost could be more than $1000.

Unless you have the data showing every Black Lion Chest ever opened, and what the contents were, you can’t really assign a cost to the Permanent Contract items.

The DDoS attacks might be the reason.

The only time Server-choice matters is for WvW. If you are focusing on PvE, it doesn’t matter which Server you choose, as all Servers in a region share the PvE maps.

For WvW, you can check the Leaderboards, the Match-ups, and/or the WvW sub-forum.
