You can always try out each Profession, sans Elite Specialization, in PvE as long as you want with your L80 Boost.

You can try out the Elite Specializations in PvP, I believe.

Profession-choice usually is personal-preference, or should be, anyway. What fun is it to play something you don’t like, after all?

So…acquire Mini-pets in a non-cost way is the suggestion? I think there are some Mini-pets acquired this way, especially in the new maps.

I understand you probably mean just walking up to a Mini-pet in the wild, and interacting with it. I suppose that would be …ok… but wouldn’t last long as content.

Well, they can only do that once (block to prevent it happening again), and how would anyone know they were offline/invisible unless one tried to contact them?

You need to set your training to a Core Tyria Mastery line, and then do content in Core Tyria to gain Core Tyria XP to fill said Mastery line. Once that Core Tyria Mastery line is full, you can use one (or more) Core Tyria Mastery Points to unlock the Core Tyria Mastery feature.

Core Tyria and HoT Masteries are completely separate. You can’t earn points or experience in the opposite region.

It could, indeed, be the G2A key, as they are often fraudulent.

You will have to discuss the issue with the CS Team, and if the key is fraudulent, try to get a refund from G2A, and purchase a key from either ArenaNet or an authorized retailer (list found in the Knowledge Base).

For many of your questions, the Wiki (link above, or accessed in-game by typing /Wiki [topic of choice] into the chat window) is a great resource.

You would, indeed, have to do the first part of the first HoT Story Episode to unlock Masteries, though you would also need a Core or HoT Mastery Point(s) to unlock the Mastery, depending on whether the Mastery is Core Tyria or HoT.

Some players that are skilled can solo Dungeons. You can use the LFG feature to find others to play instanced-content, should you so desire.

There are many ways to make Gold; one way is to sell Gathering Materials, either from acquiring them with Gathering Tools in maps, or salvaging gear, etc.

If you want this change because you are unable to return the insult, it’s probably not a great reason.

If someone is harassing/sending inappropriate messages, merely report them using the in-game report feature. The CS Team will handle it. Do not engage them, as that would negate any actions the CS Team might decide to administer.

You know, the information found in Wikis is only as good as the lay-person editing the page. Anyone can edit a page and place whatever information they choose.

There aren’t enough non-stardard MMO-type games, probably, to merit a CORPG separate entry.

Of course, that doesn’t make a game any less a CORPG, rather than a true persistent-world MMORPG.

Perhaps, he/she thinks only the Exotic version has the chance. Who knows?

You can save those up, though I doubt it makes a difference.

I’d suggest, OP, to not change appearances on your characters until they reach L80, at the very least, or, better yet, until they have acquired their Exotic or Ascended gear.

There is also, rather than just Gem Store/PvP, map completion for Transmutation Charges. Guaranteed for Cities, and nearly guaranteed for other maps.

I think the OP is confusing Episodes with Seasons. There have been, so far, 5 Episodes (each with its own map) in Season 3. We have one more episode, Episode 6, forthcoming before the Season is finished.

It sounds like he/she has finished Episode 5, rather than Season 3, as stated.

You will need to enter one of the two maps, Bloodstone Fen or Ember Bay to unlock Ancient Magics. You can purchase them with Gems acquired with cash, or by exchanging Gold for Gems. You could try Teleport to a Friend, though that may be hit-or-miss.

You seem very unhappy with the game; so many posts reflect this unhappiness. It is a shame.

We have a Mac client, already. Devs have (again, just recently) stated there would be no Linux client.

Maybe they meant Item Booster (from Candy Corn Gobbleer), which gives 50% MF; though, it only gives 33% chance for additional Gathering strikes. /shrug

We do have the information that the expansion will release with the same cadence as Living World Episodes, though with a bit more time for logistics (retailer copies/keys, etc.)

From the Wiki: The Jotun star fragments only drop once. Afterwards, you can sell them. It is not necessary to have them in your inventory to complete The Jotun Star.

Hmm…in this thread there is feedback both for and against silly hats. Who should ArenaNet listen to?

I’m sure it is difficult to balance 5 skills exactly, thus avoiding the ‘must take this race for the optimal skill’.

I’d prefer not to have to create and play a Charr (or any other race) because that race has the option for the best build.

Does Dreamer’s Terrace have a merchant? Where is it? Can one sell to the Belcher’s Bluff NPC? I’ve never tried.

I’ve not heard any rumors about a new Home Instance, either. Why would there be one? Unlikely there will be a new race.

You can improve your chances greatly by unlocking all easily-attainable weapon skins. That’s what I did before opening BL Chests. Got the Greatsaw Greatsword Skin that way.

Maybe, maybe not. The reason purchases were refunded last time was due to miscommunication in the FAQ pages, which seemed to indicate one would need to purchase the Core game in order to access HoT.

That issue is unlikely to happen this time around. I would not count on a refund, unless the purchase of HoT is within days of Expansion 2’s pre-purchase release, and one then pre-purchases Expansion 2 immediately.

And that would be player housing, which Home Instances are not.

If we are to get player housing, I, personally, don’t want it in the Home Instance. If Dev time/resources are to be spent on player housing, I want something much different than the Home Instance.

Thus, I am not really motivated toward ‘personalizing’ our Home Instances. I’d rather the resources be spent on making true player housing.

So, your suggestion would slow down the acquisition of rewards? No one would get 6 or 7 pips per tick?
