Purple dragon? The only dragon I’m aware of seeing as an ‘apparition’ was Aurene. And that wasn’t connected to the Current Event with the Sad Anomaly, as far as I know.
Otherwise, I guess I missed out…
Oh, the Anniversay Mail Carrier! Is that when your character sees this ‘purple dragon’? When sending or receiving mail? Or is it over some other character’s head? Is this the ‘purple dragon’? -> http://dulfy.net/2016/08/24/gw2-fourth-birthday-gift-details/

Will there need to be new rewards? Dungeons didn’t have new rewards added, other than an adjustment to Gold. Maybe, Raids will have the same fate.
If there are new item rewards (equivalent to Legendary Armor), I imagine they would be a long time coming.
Good luck.
Here’s a link to all the necessary items; you can click on each item to find out how to attain that particular component. If the main article on each component has no ‘commentary’, the ‘Talk’ page may.

Good luck.
Did the Devs have a crystal ball to see the upcoming AFK leather farm? Or is it being said they created the map in a week or two?
I think this map may appeal longer than other maps, and not because of the back item, and its method of acquisition.
You could try a -repair of the client; instructions found in the Knowledge Base accessed via the ‘Support’ link above/below.
You could check if any Windows/OS updates occurred, and try removing said update.
You could contact the Tech CS Team via the same link, and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for assistance.
Good luck.
No need to ask the CS Team. They won’t refund you cash or Gems when you bought it from a different retailer. If the product is unopened, you could try contacting the retailer’s corporate office for assistance.
Or, as suggested above, you can create a secondary account, log in on it each day, and reap the Daily Log-in rewards.
Good luck.
For an individualized response, you can contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Submit a Request’ for assistance.
Dev responses here are somewhat rare.
Good luck.
I almost always open Rifts in the map that’s the current Daily Event map (if it is a map that has lots of Rift events). The best maps, probably, are the Ascalon maps, though I usually find quite a few in the Shiverpeaks, especially Frostgorge, as well.
You could always message me, and I will open one for you, if I’m in-game.
Good luck.
If you feel it is an exploit, then you send an email to exploits@arena.net, rather than posting on the forums. (See front page of forum for verification.)
Good luck.
I don’t know about a Mentor Tag sufficing. It may be a Commander Tag that’s needed.
Good luck.
The dyes are probably what most players appreciate the most. And there’s the backpack(s).
Who knows what the 5th Birthday will bring; hopefully a new dye gift (and another shot at the backpacks).
Rangers are easy to learn/play, and I believe are welcome in Raids (as Druids, anyway).
Welcome return, and good luck.
Do be aware: you will not be able to send in the screenshots until after the initial response from the CS Team (there’s nowhere to attach files to the initial web-form used to create a support ticket).
Good luck.
^There is no support team for Guild Wars. The Guild Wars 2 Support Team handles Guild Wars. That said, Guild Wars is in maintenance mode, and only exploits and access are still addressed.
Good luck.
!!! ATTN: webdevs / Support site link dead
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Inculpatus cedo.9234
It’s only borked for some posters/players, like me. In fact, it works, sometimes, then will go back to being ‘uncertified’. (Does not work for me on Chrome nor Firefox.)
Thus, I’m guessing it’s hard for the Dev(s) to figure out how to ‘fix’ it.
But, since one can use the ‘Support’ link on any other site page, it’s an easy enough work-around.
Good luck.
Try 1 hour 44 minutes, then. It’s at the part where they ask Josh if he has any questions. In my podcast, for some reason, some of the Q and A was repeated.
Good luck.
I, too, stated I preferred Elona/Crystal Desert over Cantha in every past Cantha thread. Thus, for some of us, it’s very good news! =)
If anyone wants to hear the Dev (Josh Foreman) response to/reason for removal of this content, it’s on this podcast at about 1 hour 46 minutes:
You should contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for restoration.
Good luck.
Making a free 2nd account to link with GW1
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Inculpatus cedo.9234
You will have to use a new email address to link a new account to an old Guild Wars account. There is no ‘automatic linking’. You can make a Play4Free account now, and upgrade it later; just be aware of the restrictions that Play4Free accounts have.
You can read more about the different accounts in the Knowledge Base accessed via the ‘Support’ link above/below.
Good luck.
Well, there you go!^ I was hoping someone with better research methods (and memory) would post.
Thanks, Greener. =)
I don’t know, 16?, counting Light, Medium and Heavy. Or 6, if not. /shrug
I’m guessing there will be some more with the new expansion.
Good luck.
You can try the ‘Looking For…’ sub-forum to find a Guild.
Welcome return, and good luck.
Only if, and when, it is released separately in the Gem Store.
Good luck.
You can peruse the ‘Looking For…’ sub-forum for Guilds, etc. Make sure to choose Guilds that are in your region (NA or EU) to play with the members, or on your Server to play with the members in WvW.
Welcome to Tyria, and good luck.
If you have permanently accepted the L80 Boost on your character, I would strongly suggest you park that character (for now), and create a new one. You would be better off, as a new player, to level a character naturally, so you can take advantage of all the tutorial tips given at each level-up, and get the rewards.
Welcome to Tyria, and good luck.
Your suggestion has many supporters, though there were many posts about Elona and the Crystal Desert here, as well, and that seems more likely:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/The-Cantha-Thread-Merged
Good luck.
When Mike O’Brien states (in the latest AMA on Reddit) that if players want to be spoiled before the official announcements, that is their choice, but to please not post it on the forums or other venues and spoil it for others, that is pretty much confirming the veracity of the information out there.
According to Mike, we should be getting official information after Episode 6 in 2-3 months. So….not too long a wait for news. =)
Very, very rarely do I use YouTube to find my way. Now, I may use the Wiki to help out, sometimes, when I’ve felt I’ve exhausted my own trial-and-error limits.
Since you state you find exploring boring, I would guess having YouTube video (and other guides) very helpful to you.
Good luck.
You can contact the Tech CS Team via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for assistance.
Good luck.
So, are you saying the Devs are mistaken when they state it makes GW2 more difficult to balance (and Guild Wars [One] more difficult to balance)? That armchair developers are more knowledgeable about balancing the game?
The reason this thread gets posts OP may feel are off-topic may be the title. There are a few threads with similar titles discussing what players might want in the up-coming expansion(s).
Again, lore with tasks/content is often popular.
Good luck.
Here are some facts from the FAQ:
From May 2010
Will there still be secondary professions?
Secondary professions were originally included, however due to the unique mechanics of each profession and the increased role of race in character customization, they are no longer a feature of the game.
From July 2014
Is it possible to have 2 professions on one character?
No. Unlike the original game, it will not be possible to have more than one profession. The reason was because of balancing issues.
And today
Is it possible to have 2 professions on one character?
No. Unlike the original game, it will not be possible to have more than one profession. The reason was because of balancing issues.
It is true that a very long time ago, quite some time before launch, the Devs considered Dual-Professions, but decided early on that it was not the way they envisioned Guild Wars 2 Professions to play out.
There might have been a Dev response about this in the latest AMA. I can’t remember if it was there, or in someone’s ‘forecast’.
Worth a shot. Good luck.
but for how long who knows till the new pack comes out with mounts and so forth .
Out of curiosity, who at ANET gave you that fact?
That would be Mike O’Brien when he acknowledged the veracity of the leaks.
Good luck.
Wasn’t this adjusted once before, in the past? I know there used to be threads about this, and then, I think, there was a ‘fix’. Maybe, when the Character Selection screen snafu happened, it broke again. Dunno. (I could be imagining things – I haven’t really noticed any issues.)
Good luck.
The Devs have posted more than once, on the forums, to please use the in-game Bug reporting tool, as that sends much more information about issues such as these than a report here. I think you can rest assured they will be seen and reviewed.
Good luck.
I have no idea, but reset for the nodes (as far as the Account cap is concerned) may be at a different time than Daily reset. It may be 24 hours from the last gather, or reset at some specific time each day.
As far as nodes just disappearing, I’ve had that happen, as well as appearing, or appearing, then disappearing, and I’m sure I’ve never hit any kind of cap, as I don’t farm-gather. That’s just some kind of weird anomaly that happens, sometimes, I think.
Good luck.
Well, that’s odd. I’ve not seen that particular issue come up before. Was it first installed via disk? Maybe use the command line argument to uninstall the game. (Instructions found in the Wiki accessed via the link above.)
You could try changing languages (and change back when finished), you could make sure you have to adware programs running, you could make sure no 3rd party apps are running, and no graphics cards extra programs are running. Though, those fixes are for crashes and/or stalled downloads, usually.
You can contact the CS Team via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for assistance.
Good luck.

I’m not sure how many, if any, of these don’t have an Achievement tied to them, but here is a list of the 252 Mastery Point unlocks available. Good news, you have 149 to choose from to attain more Mastery Points. You only need 83 more to unlock everything, so there is a lot of leeway (66 extra) to pick and choose.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mastery_point_unlocks
Good luck.
Perhaps, you did not determine enough Sylvaris loyalty to finish/get credit for the Group Event.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Question_sylvari_refugees_and_determine_where_their_loyalties_lie
You can always try again.
Good luck.
Perhaps, your account hit the daily limit.
An account is able to harvest 50 nodes each day.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Jade_Fragments
There aren’t any notes about limits on the others, but there may be. /shrug
Good luck.
It should let you. I can change mine around to whichever one I choose. You could try a -repair of the client, or contact the CS Team. Both are accessed via the ‘Support’ link above/below. ‘Search – Repair’ for the former and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for the latter.
Good luck.
See if you can stop the process in Task Manager? I’ve no idea, as I don’t use Win10.
If you continue to have issue, you can contact the Tech CS Team via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for assistance.
Good luck.
You can try clearing the GW2 cache. Instruction found in the Knowledge Base accessed via the ‘Support’ link above/below and ‘Search – Trading Post Troubleshoot’.
If you continue to have issue, you can contact the CS Team via the same ‘Support’ link and ‘Submit a Ticket’ for assistance.
Good luck.
You can see all the major releases via the ‘Releases’ link above. You can read the patch notes via the ‘Game Release Notes’ on the front page of the forum, or in the Wiki (link above).
You can use the ‘Looking For…’ sub-forum to find a Guild, or the ‘Players Helping Players’ for other players to play with.
Welcome return, and good luck.
I think the Devs said they would look at these (again) in the last AMA.
Hmm. I didn’t have an issue getting the key. It didn’t drop from the little webbies, but did drop from a regular spider, in my case. No logging out and back in, though.
It may be just RNG in your (and everyone’s) case.
Good luck.
I’d recommend waiting to spend your Gems until you are more familiar with the game (say, after having a few characters at L80). Then, you can decide what seems most interesting/helpful to you (it could be convenience items/fashion items/even Gold).
Welcome to Tyria, and good luck.
Here you go: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Legendary_equipment
For armor, you Raid.
For back items, either Fractals or PvP
For weapons, you can purchase, craft with the Legendary Collection (for Precursor), or wait for a drop (Precursor) and craft.
Good luck.
