understanding why you’re getting kicked
TLDR:
Read the lfgs.
Join the ones you actually fit into.
Cant find an LFG for you? make your own.
Think about the other 4 people in your team who have to endure your decisions.
Do your best and accept constructive criticism to improve.
I will be genuinely be amazed if they manage to add good fractal masteries without expanding fractals at all. At best it looks like a way to lure casuals into fractals.
If someone has forgotten what mess Fractured was I can give a short summary.
maybe not relevant I don’t know, but wasn’t there some datamined gauntlet/type debuff thingies that could possibly be for dungeons or fractals? I can’t remember much about them or if it was important.
I saw a guy in the lfg saying he was new, his party filled relatively fast and I sent him the build guide for his class which he was happy for. I think that’s a good thing, even if we don’t want to/don’t have the time to play with them, linking them guides and etc can still be useful and once they get their builds worked out I often take em on a few runs to get into it.
Oh and Xinoxlx.5831, try adding CoE 1,2,3, those are good paying paths with a chance for charged lodestones and charged cores. The dungeon tokens can be redeemed for exotic zerker gear or rare gear to salvage for ectos. Arah is well paying but will require a decent team which can be hard to find in a pug. Oh, and hitting SE P3 while you’re at it is fairly easy.

I play from australia as well, best way to deal with it is getting to know when you can and cannot dodge in the chain, getting the timing down on serpent’s strike and hornet’s sting to break out and evade. I don’t struggle with it much now days and my ping well.. it’s pretty bad XD
I won’t ever join to LFGs which’s requirements i do not fit. But i’m quite sad when they ask for a 3rd warrior, or a guardian while they already have a thief and a mesmer. As if there was nothing else viable.
Let me tell you something about parties that want a 3rd warrior or some such. People like that are usually about a year or so behind not only in their thought processes but with their traits and utilities as well. You are not missing out on anything so don’t feel sad. It’s their party, let them continue thinking it’s good. Not your problem.

Do you think you are being specifically targeted with these attacks because of the “controversy” around your builds? Those elitists from the speed clearing community really seemed to hate you, do you think it could be one of them that’s responsible for this?

Well anything is possible… especially since who ever hacked me deleted my characters. I see no logical reason for someone to do that. In this game most people get hacked for their gold and having their character used as a temporary gold seller. Don’t really see how a deletion would benefit the hackers what so ever, maybe they did it just for fun, who knows.?
Somehow this became a “good” build for the dungeon community. I don’t know how to downvote this on that site but it needs to be removed ASAP.

You know what was interesting, is that with the meta ones listed, they have videos and stuff to accompany them from well known players. This build however, no one’s stepping up. Hmmm. Wish they did ;)

The problem isn’t even casual vs hardcore, it’s players who actually try and do their best have to mingle with bads who just want or are too ignorant and require carrying.
When i do a dungeon, sometimes they stack, sometimes they dont, sometimes some one is new. I never kick someone for sucking, i dont kick someone for watching cutscenes, i dont kick someone for disagreeing with my plan.
You’re not the gold standard.
But fine, people are people they will use tools as they see fit, i cant force yall not to do whatever you want.

I wonder if we’re ever going to get any kind of straight talk about the kick threshold change that appeared in the patch notes but never put in the game, and then stealth removed from the patch notes.
Or am I just crazy for expecting such basic communication?
Tren I can understand that there are people in the “community” that are not helpful. As an evil elitist in the eyes of so many pugs I have had my fair share of abuse. Although.. I sort of enjoy it. If you are in need of a build for doing dungeons, I can help you out for that, even if you are playing the one class that is actually awful (necro) there is still a build for it that can make you a decent DPS contributer.
I don’t have genfx or the other program yet. They’re all pure screens except for the first one which I downloaded onto my oneplus and modified using the phone filters haha.
Tren I’m getting the vibe that maybe you lack some experience or a decent team of players (very common to get bad pugs) which is why some encounters are appearing difficult or hard to understand why they are the way they are.
LB + Sword/Axe is the best setup for dungeons atm.
Here is a quick dungeon highlight video using the build for you OP so you can see how it works. As you can see, using the longbow for the burst at start of fights is well worth it.

Now, you must know that when I interacted with you outside of the guild I was being reserved. Swiftpaw outside of guild chat, c***paw inside of guild chat.
Which is why I’m going back to WoW. For decent gameplay and balanced PvE content.
I’ll never play another MMO without defined Tank and Healer Role, and the PvE in this game is Exhibit A for why most games haven’t ditched that system, and why I will stick with them.

@Rotten. I also can confirm that I’ve seen the leeching countless times, mostly with a guardian in healing gear/ptv with heal on dodge roll + str in numbers.. may as well assume he is AH build, usually runs with a staff, loves using empower over the top of might stacks, thinks he’s king kitten while he puts an add up for zerk only to leech of off.
Other common ‘zerk only’ players included:
greatsword mesmer with the shield phantasm, spamming feedbacks and nullfields where not needed.
axe mainhand/shortbow ranger with frost spirit to compensate?! Not understanding this trend >_>
Sword mainhand warrior in combat for entire duration of the fight, even doing flurries
Axe offhand warriors, you know what I’m talking about, they’re as common as maggots in roadkill. Axe/Axe and you see them spinning around, cant count the amount of potatoes per minute because going too fast.
pistol/pistol thieves – yep.. still a thing.. as recently as today -_-.
Often I see them veer off into the filthy pug stack spots and I just keep running and something clicks and they start following.
I wish this ever happened to me. Most of the time my pugs stand, stare, write “….” “Pull”, et. until after 30 seconds or so I sigh and decide it’s not worth making a fight over. But then I usually just join whatever random lfg is up at the time so I try to keep my expectations minimal.

When I’m on guardian they follow like lemmings and seem bewildered as to what just happened when the things actually die without using a corner stack.
It’s good entertainment, you just need to find some with decent builds and enough intelligence to do as their told without throwing a hissy fit because its not what they’re used to. I think it takes a little more time when trawling the lfgs but can be worth it. You know from some of the adverts which ones are a lost cause ‘heavies only’ etc lol.
