I have no issue with this wep setup, tbh I find it’s simple to use and I’m not needing to weapon swap as long as I’m always thinking a step ahead.
I’m not the best ranger but I’m managing this build on my aussie ping fine. The longbow is a great addition and really does make the difference vs the old build. I had quit the class until this new build and am once again enjoying it.
Obviously of course not for everyone as takes some getting used to, but yeh it’s doable for dungeons, not just on paper.
I get bored so I pick out a noob from the low level areas sometimes and rear them up to be a filthy meta scumbag like myself. I’m always so proud of them, warms the cocles of me heart to see em growin up.

I played the beta and got bored for the same reason tbh. Leveling and quests etc. However, now I’m facing yet another year of this game going nowhere or trying something new and putting in a bit of effort for the promise of actual endgame. So I’m gonna give it a go, especially since I can afford a sub fee now. XD

If this changes the GS to be the best meta weapon, I’ll be very happy.
The 1h attack is absolute #1 reason I hate playing a ranger in dungeons.
?? It’s a nerf to the class as a whole, nothing to do with GS. The biggest reason we were taken in dungeons is now completely obliterated, so no one will accept you whatever weapon you use.
P.s. If this is something you honestly care about, open a ticket. The more tickets received, the more likely it is to be fixed.
It’s legit drama. If you don’t care about this nerf, you weren’t running FS and didn’t really care that much about fast dungeon runs, so of course you don’t see the massive nerf to the profession.
If your favorite profession in a video game becoming less popular for dungeons is “legit drama” to you, then we lead very different lives…
It’s just simple acknowledgement. Nothing’s a surprise to me any more. Done with ranger till it’s fixed. If it’s ever fixed. End of story.
I’m weird because I don’t mind the living story. It’s there, it’s something to do, it’s ok. But for it to take up the majority of resources and prevent development of real dungeon content is just yeh… horrid. That’s what makes me dislike the LS.
Don’t become overly childish or they simply ignore you. Not if they care about the dungeon community but don’t make the situation worse you know.
Apart from the inaccurate tooltip, any idea why this change is good or neccessary? It’s just another PvE oriented nerf for one of thel less desired classes and has 0 effect on PvP.
The change was simply to put it in line with the tooltip. I don’t see this ever being changed back for the sake of class diversity in dungeons. They don’t care about that and won’t until we see necro actually being useful lol.
I pug for fun a fair bit, the trick is to read the lfg carefully and pick out the ones that seem the least ‘special’. Once in you can tell fairly quickly if they are worth running with or is just to leave and find another. Good days and bad days lol.
Based on my 10 minute pony spam session against indestructible golems I’m 90% certain that they’ve put the 10s recharge on FS.
Without amulet, sigils, runes, and traits my auto attack on SB ranged from 123 to 136 and when frost spirit procced (usually off CD ) I got about 140-146 ticks at the same intervals as i got the effect from other spirits which we know to have 10 second recharge.
And on LB 2 and axe offhand 5 I only got one proc per cast.
PS. They really need to put back the steady weapons to pvp so people can test properly. >_>

If you evade consistently lupi kick (unless is timed but i don t know since i can see it and evade on reaction), it means you have way less latence than 300.
300 is a HUGE latence that years ago (when internet connection were way worse) was considered the limit from bad to unplayable online game.
I never played challenging games over 100 actually.
I dodge lupi kicks with 400- 600ms+ ping from Australia. The trick is to know when the next one is and dodge well before he even performs the kick.
If its timed like coe champion ice-wolf attack that measn that PvE is really worse than i believed.
If i read correctly on reddit they finally hired someone to work on the AI.
I don’t think you are supposed to play everything by memory or luck (its not prediction because the lack of mindgames).
Also timed Attacks can’t be called AI, and that would mean this game has no AI at all.
P.S. but yet i m more inclined to think you misread your latence because 4-600 milliseconds is way worse than unpleasant.
If people more than 10 years ago refused to play with 1/3 of that i can’t believe today its acceptable by anyone.
Trust me, I know what my latency is and yes it’s terrible. I study network engineering for a profession so I do know how to determine this. The thing about lupi kicks is it’s not predicable in the way that champ wolf is, because it’s always different. There’s a pattern that needs to be picked out and it tends to vary slightly each time. Once you’ve picked it, then you can predict it for the rest of the fight. It’s a completely unacceptable ping by my standards, but by australian standards well.. my ISP doesn’t care. But that’s another story again.

This really nice guy invited me to the end of a fotm 50 at maw, I loaded in and got a Zoijja’s weapon chest. I felt like an kitten but everyone in the party was so happy for me.. so I think I felt like even more of an kitten.
