In my opinion, Warrior wasn’t made for melee combat. Not in this game! PvP shows this.
- All classes can bunker a point, except warrior.
- All classes can bunker and deal damage at same time, except warrior.
Warrior are very easy to kill, and go melee just increase easiness.
For warrior be able to go melee he need be able to tank or regen.
Daecolo’s sugestion could be good if replacing Inspiring Batle Standard. In this case the heal could affect nearby allies.
Boost Morale: Heal youself and nearby allies when gain or burst adrenaline.
Heal per stack gained or spent = 50

Kill-shot should be instant cast.

The cast time is good due the great damage of skill.
The only thing i think that skill needs are a better range, are a sniper movemento and could have 2000 or 3000 range.

There are no reasons for necro cry about berserker and stability. Berserker last 8 or 10 seconds, and stability can be converted.

The problem are that necros don’t want challenge, they just want go melee and spam all conditions without any inteligence or hability.

Can we please nerf all burning in this game?

Versatle rage and fast hands are ok. The only one that could be changed are versatle power that could grants 50% endurance instead might.

Currently, Adrenal Health favors “holding your adrenaline.” which a defensive warrior no longer does, we are constantly spending it. It used to be favorable because I could go 10/0/15/0/10 and build for “Holding my Adrenaline.” However now that the traits are 30/0/0/0/30, I can no longer put 15 points defensively to do that.

With the new trait “Cleansing Ire” I also need to constantly spend my adrenaline, which makes Adrenal Health heal for very very low unfavorable amounts, so here is my solution.

Change it to:

Adrenal Health
Gain health when you gain a strike of adrenaline. Gain health for every bar of adrenaline spent with a melee weapon.
Healing: 240 (0.15) when you gain a strike of adrenaline.
Healing: 625 (0.75) per bar spent.

This would add a lot new synergy with our current traits and put us more on-par with current bunkers. This would be very offensive sustain, compared to other classes defensive sustain.

However it would also add a lot more counter-play with classes using blinds/ways to make us miss our burst skills so we can’t dump and heal.

This would give us a way to reduce damage without boons like protection/regeneration/vigor, however it has a limit (can only get 30 strikes before you need to dump, and people can prevent you from dumping with CC/Blind/Stun/Daze.)

Adrenal Health
Gain health when you gain a strike of adrenaline. Gain health for every bar of adrenaline spent with a melee weapon.
Healing: 240 (0.15) when you gain a strike of adrenaline. = 7200 on use of signet of fury, healing surge (10000 + 7200) or berserker stance (7200 or 9600). Also makes several traits regen health very fast In this case the heal per stack could be lesser.
Healing: 625 (0.75) per bar spent. = Looks good, but the heal could be higher, too much higher.

Another good idea are Adrenal Health heal every 1 second instead every 3. The lost will be less.

The only good solution without step out of warrior theme are fisical atribute like high health and/or armor, or skill like evasion.

- The good thing are give more evasion to warrior, because as was said, warrior don’t count with summons, stealth of easy access to invul.

Grants 1 evasion in each weapon can resolve warrior sustain.
Ex:
- Greatsword: Whirlwind Attack
- Hammer: Fierce Blow
- Longbow: Arcing Arrow
- Rifle: Brutal Shot
- Axe: Cyclone Axe
- Mace: Pommel Bash
- Sword: Savage Leap
-Off hand weapons and skills don’t need.
I think this can help to resolve sustain by players skill and plain during fight, without turn warrior op.

Rush is still terrible.

Hundred blades deserves to be movile or be like blurred frenzy there are a lot of thigs that can be do to this skill and i think they should, this is one of the things that makes warriors stay bad, because the devs are afraid of the hudred blades damage so they leave it as a skill that snares you in place and this is a terrible mistake on a class like the warrior, warriors dont need to be rooted in place, caster clases should, not warriors….

Also making HB a burst skill will be bad, is the best skill in the GS, what are you going to put?, arcing slice?, no thanks , really just redisign arcing slice so it is usefull to the warrior, and think of ways to make hundred blades a new skill so it can be used not only using the stun+hb gimmick that anyone with a brain will avoid anyway, remember the thing you said… “if i need to land a cc in order to do any damage, then, why am i here?”.

Allow move during 100b could be a good buff that make him independent of anothers skills to land.
The foot movement during the skill shows that are possible.
An few ajust in foot movements (no needed but for stetic) would 100b a show of skill in terms of damage, animation and viability

Rush is still terrible.

But actually, thinking about it more, Arcing/Rush/100b. All those could be moved, but what would it do?

What if the CD on 100B was reduced and it moved to 5? WHat would happen if 100B went to burst and Arcing went main bar?

- 100b: It’s ok, no need change. Move to f1 will nerf, decreasing frequenci and increasing requeriments.
- Rush: The big problem is animation and transition between run and attack.
A good thing are replace attack animation for actual Arcing Slice animation, and make him 30% or 50% faster for allow chain same skill. The run need be able to change direction and follow the foe.
- Arcing Slice: The actual animation are very slow, and effect and damage are weak for a f1 skill.
A good thing are replace actual animation for anomation of 9º strike of 100b (the last hit), also increase range to leap finisher (maybe 300 or more). Grants vigor instead fury.
Another good option are ajust the animation to true uppercut that blowout foes and grants vigor instead fury.

I dont hate Banners, but I hate it that they are indestructible and their effect in many situations much stronger, than the support skill of the other classes.
The ghosts from the ranger, for example.

Nice little bit to point out for those complaining that they are weak.

They may not be quite as strong as other summons….but they cannot be destroyed/killed.

No needs.
Warrior are destroyed before.
Or leaved behind.

The problem is that has no counter to stealth.
An stealth player can choise when attack or run away, he just has all control of situation and has nothing that the foe can make.

May be burnig allow to couter stealth. If Anet really wants resolve the stealth problem.

Banner are the worse summon in this game.

Compare 5 Warriors droping all bannes at same time, with 5 Necros with 5 summons each…
Will be a 5 × 30, when the warrios will have 3 or 4 non stackable utility banners + some stacks of might.

If compare with Spirits and Pets, Clones and Phantasms, Elementals, Spirit Weapons, Turrest and Bombs, or even Thief guild… In every case warrior stay in huge disadvantage by use banner.

Banner just need improvements :/
Actually they are more annoyng that usefull.
In heat of batle the foe goes to far away of banner or try escape with all his summons, but i need come back to banner location and pickup to finally back to fight foe. Or… I just leave the banner and try fight the foe without bonus.

Banner needs some improvements, between them:
- Teleport to banner location and puckup, this saves time.
- Grants better status (200 and 20% instead 170 and 10%) and stacks with another banners of same tipe.
- Better radius (5000 – 10000), because they are static.
- Less CD (25s to utility, and 50 or 60 to elite).

Its time to all classes give atention to cleanses. Warriors works hard to can stay alive in PvP, while anothers classes just spamm protection, regeneration, auras, evasion, stealth and summons without any effort.

The reason for conditions be hated, are that after they lands, the only defense are clean or reduce duration. And most of classes don’t want sacrifice offense by defense, they just accustumed to attack and defend at same time.

Thieves and Mesmers still being semi-gods in terms of dmg, escape, deception, divesity, etc…
Necros and Engineers are absurdly OP in terms of spamm (summons and conditions) and sustain. they just stay in midle of ring and kill every thing that try enter in insane speed, they can drop down all foe’s health in few seconds.
Elementaris, Ranger and Guardians can mix high defense with high attack. They just can bunker and stand in 1 × 2 or 1 × 3 while deals huge dmg.
- All classes in Tier A and S can solo that base lord very fast, with no rick!
Warriors needs massive improvement.
- No summon, no deception, unable to defend a point, very easy to kill.

So you want us to use Deathshroud?

Actually, Necros can drop down 20k healt in 3 or 5 secondes. Are UMBLOKABLE huge AoE damage via conditions, no including raw dmg, minions, siphon health, and self hp.

Necros just come to close and convert all boons in conditions while inflicts more and more conditions, and no has time to counter due to insane dmg.

The only way are try stay in range, but i ends stayng out of ring and no capture.
In exception of warriors, all classes still absurdly strong in close range.
Necros with perma deathshroud will become like Thieves and Mesmers, unkilable.

Arcing Slice, Hundred Blades as a Burst Skill

Before all, i don’t like GS because need external help to deal dmg.

Most of warriors chain 100b > whirlwind for max dmg, but this requires cc, imobilize and/or swap weapon. This spend time, resources and no grants 100% effectiviness.
I think 100b need be used just after whilrwind, because if the enemy are close, you just use 100b; and iff enemy are in range, we use #3 for quikly aproach and chain 100b. This way least half of hits can be land every 10 or 8 seconds without spend other resources.
Atention to range of #3, because more mov spd = more distance.

About Arcid Slice, i think this skill need have his animation ajusted to a true upercut, and as aditional effect Launch foes, and grants fury according adrenaline bars.

About Rush, the better thing to make with this skill are remove the final attack, turnig a gap closer to chain another skills. I think that attack are useless due to slowness.

GW2 PvP are good for several reasons, among them:
- Capture system
- No access to racial skills
- Free access to all traits and gears
- Maps
- Goals, for example kill forest creature, destroy/repair trebuchet, orb, attack base and kill lord…
- Etc…
- WvW are just amazing.

We care about all professions. =)

If you cared about necromancer, then this patch would not have been there. Believe what you want, perceive class balance as you want, but necromancer are almost useless now, and the worst 1 vs 1 class in the game. All my investments Annihilated. Now i must reroll.

Patch isn’t live yet…. way to overreact.

Melandru nerf will be a pretty good boon to necros

I liked changes in melandru, because Stun =/= Condition.

Good buff to warriors. Thanks Anet!

Heals now looks sustain warrior and put him in equality level of sustain with anothers classes.
- Healing Signet granting good heal
- Healing Surge compensating the high cd and animation with good good heal.
- Mending buff allowing remove 3 condition every 20s, the heal reduction compensate the cd and adictional cleanse.

- Good buf in Rush and Bull’s charge. Now these skills are less predictable, allowing GS builds to chain his combos. The ajust in strength tree also helps so much.
- Good buff in sword #4, provides diversification, extra condition for input more pressure, more dmg and/or control over foe.
- Good buff in Rampage, now this skill allow chain combos that can change the game in warrior’s favor. But i think that cd and duraction still incompatible if compared to same skill in Engineer, this forces most of PvP warriors to run Signet + Rune of Lissa. Then, Rampage will sill inviable.
- Signet of Might still the same thing, I think this signet shouldn’t have limit of attacks.

In general… I liked very much

Changed 10% extra dmg for extra sustain.
I think ranger need uses stealth, but not with same or near same frequenci that thives. This skils can grants stealth for 33% uptime if traited, and if activate stealth for every hit, will grants perma stealth to rangers.

This skill could have his cd increased to 15 or 20 seconds.

This deep wound looks good, and combines with warrior.
Tormenta also combines, may be increased in sword #3, #4 or #5.
About poison, the only weapon that could inflicts are LB. May be LB #5, replacing bleed for poison without change total dmg.

Then i feel tooltip need be rewrited.
Fear are one of worst condition, and in combo with torment, bleed, poison and burning grants 3 – 5 seconds of umblockable and unremovible dmg.
And only balnce stance and shake it off can’t counter tons of condition build in PvP.

I assume that you want i spend all my 3 utility slots with stances and some bs, just to counter a condition that my other skills could to do according to the description :/

hey, you forgot that fangirls might say something, too! and that something is that while i find jumping puzzles to get incredibly frustrating after a while i don’t think they should be removed. they don’t need to be removed, either, as they are not a required part of map completion, a mandatory part of combat or dungeons, or necessary for your PS; they are very much optional content and if you don’t like them you simply don’t have to do them. or you can ask a mesmer to help you out, if your secret love for all jumping puzzles is that obvious.

The more easy JP i ve made was “No so Sectret”, a done to enter in aetherbade base and find a mesmer’s portal right in my front, waiting for me But i no use the googles dive, then i’ll do again.

- Insane raw dmg with Sword/Pistol and/or GS.
- Insane condition spamm and dmg with phantasm, clones, retaliation, shatter and Staff.
- Insane sustain with phantasm, clones, instant cast and defensive-offensive heal, teleport, invul, stealth, cc all time…

Let’s address this point-by-point, shall we?

-Sword: recently brought down in power, by the changes to Blurred Frenzy. Illusionary Leakitten till a LoS Nightmare, and flubs more than it works. Auto-chain has been modified, as well. Pistol does have nice damge/CC, but -even traited- is a slower weapon to get off of C/D. GS is good range and single-target DPS, but that’s its design and its AoE aspects are correspondingly limited.

-Condition Damage and Sustain from Phant-spec are still more than counterable by AoE damage. Mesmer C.Dmg is limited in type/application besides Bleeds, and that trick requires a dedication to Dueling for Precision.

Retaliation ate a 33% decrease in effectiveness for any Profession what uses it, and Phantasmal Retaliation got its duration decreased from unlimited to 5 seconds.

Shatter requires -at base- 30 Illusions and 10 Domination for its full offensive might, let alone 20 Dueling to make it spammable. So, your Build now only has 10 Traits to put elsewhere.

Staff is unpredictable in its effects, look at Winds of Chaos/Chaos Armour/Chaos Storm for confirmation. In addition, CA was altered last “major” patch, was it not?

-You’ve never run Phant spec, have you? The Regen is not that high, tbh. And when ANet – months ago- dropped the duration of Illusionary Membrane, the Regen/Prot combo took a serious beating.
Teleports are limited, in scope and in cooldown time.
Invuln timing took a hit with the change to Blurred Frenzy, and that presumes that every Mesmer runs MH Sword.
CC is not nearly as all-encompassing as you think, and also just got dropped a bit, by way of the Into the Void change.
Stealth is not perma-stealth by any means, and requires a 30 trait investment to make the best use of. Also limited by both cooldown time and by Revealed.

In general:
8/10 for trolling effort, 1/10 for execution.

Wasn’t troll, is the true store.

I take down veteran monster and his minions when i yet was lv5 Mesmer, just spamming, shattering and restarting the cicle while i self deal more and more dmg and escape with stealth or teleport :/

People suggesting that if we do not like jumping puzzles, then we should just not do them, are missing the fundamental issue at stake, achievement points. Arena.net should take away the points, then those who like them can do them, those who don’t, won’t get penalised for having less dexterity.

You’re looking at Achievement Points backwards. You aren’t entitled to achievement points. You are awarded them when you earn them. To my knowledge, there’s not even a max AP score. Every day you can earn more achievement points doing your daily.

He talk like he alredy done all game’s challengers, alredy gets all achievements and JP are the one thing that he don’t done yet.

And even he get done, every day apear 2, and all month apear more 2, not talking about updates. The jp is the extra thing to gain more points, some them are hard, but most then are very easy.

Or they could put the jumping puzzles into the game, but not tie them to other achievements. Have a separate jumping puzzle achievement that does not contribute to a reward that is unrelated.

My oldest son LOVES the JPs and he is very good at them. He does not look up how to do them. Instead he figures them out himself. Therefore, I understand how someone can love them.

I, on the other hand, might rage quit the game if I have to do them for a reward that I really want. I’m terrible at them coupled with I don’t enjoy them that much. If I was terrible at them but enjoyed them and wanted to get better that would be different.

Then you want to punish all players that likes JP just because you don’t like to make it?

Thanks for trying to help this topic jetwing. But your first post is what I already have posted way back when I first posted this topic. Your second post does not add anything constructive, new information or even correct information.

Maybe all warrior bleeds can be changed to torment? Or rework the condition damage from the sword tree as more direct damage. Even get a trait for poison or torment instead of bleed.

I think torment may be increased in sword #4 and #5. Change bleed for torment, are good and viable way to fix off hand sword.
Sword #3 also need a buff, perhaps increasing confusion or daze, and reduce cast time and/or animation.

And buff Blademaster trait to adictionaly reduce cd of sword skills.

I fully agree with Zietlogik.6208.

And about Velron.3729 buld, nothin against, but…
- How do you deal with condition spam (me for example )?
- How do you fight agaisnt ranged attacks?
- How do you deal dmg?
- How do you fight against summoners (Engineer, Mesmer, Necro, Ranger…)?
- How do you surpass high regeneration of some classes?
- How do you sustain youself in batle?

I play a direfent build, but can stand in same level of another classes you really are awesome
