Well I’ve flipped 7283 so take that.
Edit: I was just picking an arbitrary number, didn’t realize you could see how many you capped in the achievement point thing. It’s going to take forever to get yakslapper…

I rarely see people abusing of the knocking off mechanic in EotM except for your ocasional troll necro.
When “fights” occur, it’s more likely to be open field siege wars, than knockback wars over a cliff/bridge.
The only time I go into eotm is with characters that need leveling. Knocking people off the edge is my go to move there.
Not going to lie, that is something I will do in real WvW any chance I get. I think it’s hilarious to knock people off cliffs.
LGN
You got your big old blobs but the zerglings on T1 servers tend to be trained well enough that they don’t bother trying to run down the roamers. The blobers keep to themselves and the roamers get to feast on the zergling re-spawns (omnomnom)
That takes away the only fun thing about zergs. I love when a few zergers feel brave and try to chase me down so that I can take them out away from the safety of their blob.
Just want to throw this out there. After a day of hard fighting in the bl’s me and a guildy ended up goofing off with a box of fun, having a dance party with some FC roamers and taking turns dueling without stomping. Good way to end a day after fighting tooth and nail for hours on end.

It says AR pop is very high while ET is at High only
I’m guessing that is looking at PvE population which is pretty ridiculous since they implemented the megazerger. Totally understand you going for the cheaper price though. If you aren’t going to go AR I’d recommend ET; decent roamers there.

Eredon Terrace!
We have some superb roamers and have been getting some new transfers as well. There’s a lot of excitement with ET right now
Shoo! I saw him first.
ET has been getting a lot of transfers, they have been outnumbering us the majority of the time…. which means a lot more bags for us
LGN
Come to AR, plenty of great solo/ small scale roaming. The borderlands are great for 1v1/1v2’s without getting run over by a zerg.
LGN
Look at this thread and tell me people didn’t try everything they could

You are sadly misinformed if you think the lower tiers are less zergy. The mentality of the average GW2 player doesn’t change depending on what tier they’re in. The only difference between T1 and T8 is the amount of zergs each server can field. Everyone will still congregate into the largest group of players they can find.
Furthermore, lower tier roaming hasn’t been good for more than a year. All the good players have left for higher tiers because of the decline in activity across the entire WvW playerbase. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
Let me guess, you are one of the “good” players that transferred to a higher tier server because you enjoy fighting in a bigger zerg?
There are zergs on the lower servers but they mostly stick to EB. You will find equal to greater numbers of people doing small group roaming and they only come together when a keep is being attacked. At least that is what you see on AR.
You guess wrong.
My opinion that most of the good players transferred is based on the fact that I play on both FA and DR. But please do state why you feel the other way and what experience of the higher tiers you have.
My brother plays on Blackgate so I gave it a try when I was visiting him for a couple weeks. T1 players go down very easy compared to the roamers I run across daily. I’m sure you all could teach us some tactics for zerging but small scale fights/solo roaming is where AR excels.
LGN
Had this problem for a long time. Don’t expect a response or a fix. It may start working properly again in the next patch and then stop again with the patch afterwards. Really your only options are to get a new mouse or quit playing GW2.
I quit for the better part of a year and played other games until my naga finally died. I now play again on a logitech g600.

You can’t just balance around one game mode though.. If they ever get their heads out of their kitten and separate pve/WvW/pvp then they can make that change in pvp.
LGN
Until this change makes it into the patch notes or we actually get a response in this thread (long shot, I know) I’m going to go on assuming this is a bug.
LGN
And nades range is great for zerg in wvw, \
Yeah but retal already punishes nades in a zerg fight.
LGN
Hey I actually thought of one.
- Let me move the UI around. I’ve hated since launch how the target is right in the middle of the top of the screen blocking my view. And I really don’t want to see all that crap in the upper right corner either.
- Dev Time: Probably infinity since they made it this stupid way in the first place and probably can’t change it.
- Extra Lazy Version. Just move the thing somewhere outta the middle of the screen. And allow me to turn off the junk in the upper right.
- Dev Time: A couple of days I would think.
Was just about to post this myself. The same goes for when people in your party have stacks running into the middle of your screen because they are running xp boosters, guild flag bonuses, etc. It kills me that you could adjust the ui in GW1 but you still can’t in GW2.
LGN
I know right? I hate when I heal and people just keep attacking me. It’s like they don’t understand that me healing is the equivalent of calling a time-out and they should just stop attacking until I feel comfortable about taking damage again.
LGN
You want strange range quirks?
Why can a ranger ‘throw’ a dagger farther than a thief can shoot a shortbow and pistol?
(ranger dagger 5 is 1200, thief pistol/shortbow 900 max, also note thief dagger throw is only 900 also)That’s after traits, by default it’s only 900 range. Maybe you flimsy thieves should start working out so you can throw little dagger farther.
What ranger trait increases the range of dagger? My ranger only has one that affects longbow/harpoon gun…..
Seriously? My ranger has access to Off-Hand Training, not sure why yours doesn’t.
Edit: looks like Belzebu was a little faster than me.
LGN
If you want to stay away from blobs, choose Eredon Terrace or Anvil Rock…
Seconded. ET’s roamers have definitely stepped up their game recently. They are almost on our level now
In all seriousness I think you would have fun on either of our servers. If they ever did decide to merge servers ET would be the only other server that I wouldn’t mind fighting alongside.
LGN
At this point in a game you can just remove all borderlands and leave EB map for those who want to fight for their server. Make more cross server maps!
Ugh… please create a eotm forum so we can bottle these awful ideas up somewhere.
LGN
Happy 4th of July. I’m sure you all our taking the weekend off so I don’t expect to see it fixed today. Don’t worry I’ll check in Monday to let you know it is still broken.
LGN
Please be careful with the sarcasm, Anet might actually believe that people consider eotm to be part of WvW and that the map isn’t a complete waste of time and resources that should have been spent on actual WvW.
LGN
Confirmed how? Do you have a video of them respawning more quickly or something? Just out of curiosity, how long does it take you all to solo a camp? Because the only thing I have spawning on me is the occasional dolyak (which is extremely annoying)
LGN
I’ve gotten the double leap finisher as well. I figured it had something to do with the weird way you will sometimes pause in the middle of swoop and then do a second jump when you are on uneven terrain.
LGN
I would love to have a griffon with their knockback and evade. It would be nice to finally have a pet that can dodge attacks. Other than that I would like a hylek or skritt.

(ranger dagger 5 is 1200, thief pistol/shortbow 900 max, also note thief dagger throw is only 900 also)
Why do ranger arrows magically disappear and/or get obstructed by invisible barriers? Why do random blades of grass make a ranger stop and contemplate life halfway through a swoop skill and then remember to finish the leap a few seconds later? Why is the counter attack so slow that people can simply walk out of range? Rangers sure do have a lot of quirks.
LGN
I’m sorry I believe you posted this in the wrong sub forum. This is the WvW forum, not the PvE karma train forum.
LGN
More bad news, the patch you did earlier didn’t catch this elusive bug either…. don’t worry, I will keep you updated on if a fix happens, because apparently that is how communication on bug fixes works in this game
LGN
…. If you are having trouble soloing a camp it really is a learn to play issue. Adjust your build and kill them faster.
For curiosity sake, would this include an upgraded camp?
Why would it not? The only real problem with a fully upgraded camp is that aoe/cleave will only hit so many at once so it takes longer and there is a much better chance you’ll get overrun by people coming to defend it.
If you are having a hard time just bring 1 ranged weapon and focus the scouts first, and bring poison or make sure to interrupt the heals.
LGN
Pull back the area around spawn that gives invulnerability. This is especially annoying with that little crevice on the bl sw camp.
LGN
…. If you are having trouble soloing a camp it really is a learn to play issue. Adjust your build and kill them faster.
LGN
So I’m sure that patch that kicked me out of WvW while I was in the middle of killing someone was meant to fix this issue but it looks like it is still broken.
LGN
Bad news guys, it looks like you forgot to fix this again.
LGN
Surely there is no hacking in this game since there aren’t any forum posts about it. I mean, it’s not like they would just delete threads about the problem instead of fixing it or banning the people who are hacking right?
LGN
Randomized matchups. This won’t happen every week. If it really bothers you, transfer. Otherwise, get over it.
Or… just don’t sit down at the main spawn point. go flip some camps on their bl’s. Grab a few guildies and get siegerazor going. Maybe if people see you carrying on the fight they will get up and join in.
LGN
The five stacks on kill was a good change, but I shouldn’t have to put a sigil on an underwater weapon I will literally never use. It’s 10g I can put elsewhere, more than 10g if you have multiple characters.
Luring a thief that is chasing you under water and totally destroy him because he didnt put a stacking sigil on his weapon or a rune on his aquabreather is totally worth 10g.
They die in the water anyway since they lose almost all their stealth skills.
LGN
If you want to play a lb ranger…then no. Lb just does not do enough damage to down a good player. Worse the amount of defense you give up to have a functioning Longbow is absolutely not worth the paltry damage. Pets fail at CC and the Longbow has no snares of its own so you wind up mostly fighting with your GS.
This might be true in spvp where you are fighting in an area the size of a closet, but longbow is pretty fantastic in WvW.
With all the buffs you can get from foods, guard leech, etc., the longbow becomes a nail driver and you can take down a lot of people without ever having to get in melee range.
As long as you stay with the zerg and don’t draw any attention. Go out by yourself in wvw and see how long it takes for melee to get on top of you.
I solo roam all the time with a power build. Knockback, stealth, wolf fear, entangle, lighting reflexes, swoop, counter attack, hilt bash, perma swiftness…. how many things do you need to keep people off of you?
I burn down most people before they get in spitting distance of me. If they do get close you just use the myriad of tricks at your disposal to create some distance again, or just finish them off because they are likely close to death.
LGN
I have played many games throughout the years but this is the first game where I see someone call a glass cannon class that can hit sometimes over 10k and single handedly 1 shot squishys with a single skill, a bad class.
Utility isn’t everything, you need damage, regardless of how much crowd control, speed, slows and everything else you have, if you don’t have the damage to follow it up, then you won’t win regardless of how much cc you have.
Rangers aren’t bad, they are awesome in PvP, PvE , WvW (dungeons not so much), I honestly lol at people saying that rangers, a class that can literally 1 shot squishys a bad class.
Good luck getting to the back end of my whole zerg and get through my 1500 range to try adn kill me, before you arrive you’re already dead.
That’s because those other games didn’t have the kitten rally mechanic.
LGN
The thing about being an uplevel is knowing your weaknesses and playing to your strengths. I’ve been bringing in a staff ele uplevel from time to time and been contributing quite a bit. Laying down and blasting fields, taking out arrow carts, cutting off enemy players from their zerg with skills like unsteady ground, and knowing where to place myself and what skills to use to avoid being a rally bot. Plus the shared Wxp means I get mastery and guard stacks.
Would it be better if I was 80 and not hitting like a wet noodle? Of course. Doesn’t mean I’m going to suffer through pve to play the one aspect of the game I enjoy.
LGN
So I noticed today this still hasn’t been fixed. Any news on when you’ll get around to fixing this?
LGN
Some of us play more than 1 character and more than 1 build per character. Paying 100+ gold in a game mode that is already a huge gold sink is a little rough, especially when WvW has its own currency.
LGN
Getting close to the new patch, any progress been made on this yet?
LGN
It takes about ten minutes to run supply and solo cap a tower, less if you have a guild cata. You could have knocked that out when everyone was fighting over sm.
LGN
Since we can’t salvage the armor we get through badges, and WvW is terrible for making gold, why not give us something to spend these badges on? Especially now that you broke stacking sigils, it is absolutely ridiculous that we should have to spend an extra 10g to keep our stacks while attacking bay.
LGN
Looking at the responses, it’s interesting because there seems to be 2 schools of thought here:
No there is a 3rd school of thought here. There are those of us that realize this is a terrible idea. Where do you plan to recruit people from? The eotm karma train? Do you look at people stacking in dungeons and say, “Wow look at that stacking skill! I bet he would be great in WvW!”
Most people start off as a pug when they first come into WvW. It takes them time to learn what works in there. What you are suggesting would drive away a ton of new players that WvW desperately needs and you would start seeing people excluded for running the wrong build or profession.
There have been a lot of great suggestions on how to fix some of the problems with WvW on this forum but this idea is just awful.
LGN
They don’t have to accept every random newbie.
You need go no further than right here to see why this would be a horrible idea.
Agreed. Getting new people in WvW is tough enough without this garbage.
LGN
They still haven’t stated if this change was intended and it’s not in the patch notes anywhere. Until they give us an answer we should assume it is a bug they are too lazy to fix and keep giving feedback in this thread https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Stacks-disappear-underwater/page/3#post4152762
LGN
What’s the problem with them giving one?
LGN
Rangers are despised at dungeons because a bad ranger build is way worse than a bad warrior, guardian, mesmer and so on, so while a bad warrior can be tolerated a bad ranger can’t.
This. A ranger that doesn’t control his pet (generally bearbows) can really screw up a run.
LGN
I’ve never ran out of siege/money/badges so I have no idea how 5 people couldn’t figure out how to get a ram blueprint, and if out of 5 people no one can come up with a ram to break the gate, what are you doing in WvW?
I’m almost always in WvW about 1 to 2 hours a day I don’t PvE much so I’m not sure where the notion of not being able to afford siege is valid.
Except WvW is not about you.
Its all about possibilities. Different options. Completely removing the ability to knock down a door by hand is fine. Its an acceptable solution to a problem that’s existed since release. But offering no viable alternative is not good at all. WvW doesnt need that kind of extra gold sink restriction – WvW just need to be fun to play.
To give you some perspective, just look at ESO AvA. It may be grand, but its not fun. Siege is incredibly restricting. You cant capture a keep without siege. You cant even solo the camps surrounding the keeps, its impossible. Imagine fighting 20 buffed keep lords, that’s a tiny camp in ESO. And you have to capture 3 of them. It literally force you to bring 20+ players and siege to do something, otherwise you might as well go do PvE in a dungeon. Do you really think just slapping restrictions on GW2 would make it more fun? I dont think so.
I can tell from your post that you don’t quite know Gw2 WvW, you wouldn’t want to try and solo a tower or keep the time it would take to kill the guards in between running to a camp then building the siege in between killing the guards again, breaking the gate, killing the lord and his guards, and in that amount of time the odds of no one showing up is very small.
and you can’t compare ESO to GW2 there is no comparison
GW2 FTW!
I’ve done it a bunch of times. You wait until the other servers are fighting over a keep and you throw down a guild cata so you don’t have to worry about guards. If I see a battle going on at hills or bay I will take every camp and as many towers as I can while they are occupied.
LGN
The best part of playing a power ranger are the players that refuse to accept they have been outplayed and keep running back to you to die.
Usually after about the third death they either come back with a bunch of their friends or they party with you so they can tell you you’ve been reported for cheating.
LGN
