You need a boat load of skill points if you want to make a legendary, but other than that there isn’t really much use for it. It would be cool if they had more things to trade skill points in for, like jugs of karma or possibly another way to get black lion keys. Like 25 skill points for a jug of karma and 5-10 skill points for a black lion key.

This is completely against that they announced the game as. Karma is not meant to be tradable for profit (which unfortunately they messed up on, but its since been fixed), and skill points arent meant to either.

Its not welfare if you have to complete skill based objectives and social activities to get and participate in game events. It is welfare if all I need to do is buy X amount of gold to get it.

It is welfare when you are given one for completing parts of the game that people already do. I do not want to see a legendary on every 2nd person I pass, that would completely undermine the whole point of a legendary.

Give me an epic quest where I got to craft my own pre-cursor by gathering rare materials from Champion mobs / Meta Events and then take them materials into the volcano at Mount Maelstrom to forge it, then quench it in the mystical iceberg at Frostgorge Sound.

Much more of a challenge that trying to gather gold, IMHO.

But its really not. I guarantee, no matter how great a challenge is, someone will have done it within a week. Then the guides start coming out and suddenly, everyone has a precursor and is on their way to making a legendary. Bam, suddenly, Legendarys are old news because everyone has them and now people are whining even more that there is nothing to work towards. RNG eliminates players who dont want to go above and beyond to get their legendary. In fact, the only problem I see is that the precursors arent soulbound, allowing people to buy them with daddys credit card.

Transmute stones are given in dailies and monthlies, sure its rare that you get the fine ones but it happens. And also, theres no reason not to buy from the gem store when theres gold > gem conversion. Its just like buying from an npc.

It doesnt bother me because I wouldnt even think to use the actual stats. I just transmute it into better armor that have the stats I want.

And before you say it, yes I do realize that I can just zoom my screen in, but as was brought up in another thread, this would effectively be putting a handicap on myself because a lot of other people would be using the zoomed out view, which from my experience makes things a whole lot easier.

Some people make upwards of 5 – 10g a day farming orr, and with the monthly and daily karma jugs and karma from events thats childs play to anyone with decent MF.

Id rather Anet fix the overwhelming amount of clipping issues in the game already then add another source of it.

While Im not opposed to the idea, I think this would cause quite a stir about P2W and all that kind of stuff so its a risky feature to implement.

Im sorry, It might be what you dont want to hear and Im not calling you entitled or anything but its simply a fact that the majority or players are not supposed to get legendarys. you may not agree with me and thats fine but I think legendarys are exactly where they need to be at this point. Making it so everyone can obtain a legendary after a set amount of time and grind wile playing the game undermines the whole purpose of the wow factor when you see someone with one. Its supposed to be for people who go above and beyond what most people would say no to like the abyss that is the mystic forge.

And, I dont know how differently you feel then me, but I really dont think I would enjoy owning a legendary and working my kitten off for it if everyone else is getting one too. I think Anet made legendarys obtainable the way they are for a reason and I dont think they should change that.

I agree completely on all of these although I dont mind that they take up space in my inventory. Also, I solved the collectibles issue by getting an invisible bag and putting it in there.

One other suggestion is the speed of the mini. I would say a good number of people use something to increase their speed, and as a thief with constant 25% speed my pet is always lagging behind, getting further and further until resetting behind me, only to continue falling behind. I dont see why this wasnt looked at beforehand as it seems like an easy fix to me.

I can see where youre coming from on most of those but I disagree with the glowing and particle effects aspect of it.

While this seems like a good idea on paper, Im pretty sure any mats required to make these glowy weapons would skyrocket in price, Putting them beyond reach of the majority of players and causing complaints to come piling in. Dont get me wrong, after coming from Perfect World I do miss the awesome weapon particle effects and stuff, but I feel like this is the wrong way to handle it. I play dual daggers and I am really disappointed about the lack of good looking skins (in my opinion) in comparison to greatswords and other weapons but I do hope and believe that Anet will release new skins often with future patches/expansions.

But the problem is that a lot of people arent jumping to join the winning sides WvW, theyre doing it so that they get all the bonuses in pve for farming and stuff like that. Its quite a shame really.

You generally don’t encounter overflows in map zones since everyone is spread out around the world, only in Lion’s Arch.

You are right, I didnt even take overflows into consideration.

But I dont think a cap would make sense though, I dont know about you but I have never encountered a queue to log in. This makes me think that they take the people that are online, add a bunch of empty spots to account for players that might come online and then substract it from a limit maybe.

Your post makes no sense. Im not saying its scarce, Im saying the value of any item is controlled in part by how much gold there is in the economy. When you inject more gold into the economy through DE’s and stuff people do every day, this will cause the price of everything to go up. This is a proven fact.

And I dont understand where youre going with your gem to gold issue. Guess what, I’d say 95% of all content in this game is reasonably priced. you can have full stats exotics for <10g and be able to compete in anything with a fair chance. The other 5% is expensive because people want it and it gives people things to work for.

Seriously, whats the point in getting everything handed to you? Im glad the game doesnt work that way.

Yeah, not looking at a precursor – every single legendary is a waste of time and resources – totally not worth the effort unless it was 25% more powerful than an exotic or OMG that is ridiculously awesome – which none of them are – the only one remotely close is twilight/eternity.

Precursors are being market controlled except for a few random non-bot/gold farmers that get lucky and are not using them – saying otherwise is being foolish.

It doesnt matter whether you’re looking at precursors or copper ore, The scarcity of gold still means a lot in how ANY item is valued. Trust me, they have people who know way more about this stuff then both you and I working on thier team. Im sure they know exactly how the economy should work in this game and as you can see by the many updates they are constantly tweaking things to make sure the game runs accordingly

Since youre not going for any legendaries since in your opinion they suck, why do you care if they are market controlled or not?

It’s Eir’s Longbow. It’s not too expensive, you can get one for ~7-8g. And there is a short bow version going for a little less than 6g. I’m not sure how it looks though as gw2db does not it in its database.

Also, no, it should not be changed. Here’s the T3 medium for Norn females, and I will almost have enough gold for another entire set if my auctions sell at any point. If you play smart, save gold, and learn any form of economics, you can get T3 armor easily.

And I plan on also getting a Berserker’s Destroyer Longbow which is about another 50-60g.

And guess what, that 300g precursor your looking at is going to skyrocket in price because now everyone has gold, did you forget about that fact? Gold is only worth its scarcity, its as simple as that. The more gold people have, the higher prices go.

The idea having once a day transfers and then locking people out of wvw for Id assume a week is ridiculous and I guarantee Anet does not want that. Are we playing a different game here? Has Anet ever shown that they want to lock people out of content? At least with once a week you can wvw for the week and then switch and then can jump right back in.

I agree that the current prices are a bit ridiculous for Tier 3 Cultural armor. As far as I know they aren’t even Exotics, but are actually Rares. For the price of over 100g, this is rather silly. I could understand if the price was 25, or even 50… but well over 100 is just silly.

But you guys seem to not understand that YOU ARE BUYING THE SKIN!
The stats are bad so you go and spend a couple of gold on the exotic stats that you want and transmute it, did you want them to have a million different sets for sale so that you can get the stats you want? No, that doesnt make sense at all. And I guarantee if they just had one stat set up that were exotic then there would be a ton of posts complaining about that. I seriously dont see the issue here.

Nope, I jumped in early before realizing just how many bubbles there were in the world, and then watched the tidal wave of bubbles closing in around me, lowering the value of my bubbles to practically nothing lol. Speculating and investing go hand in hand in my opinion.

My first time in the dungeon I didnt even realize I had to use the skill bar and was using Emotes, I was wondering why I kept taking damage even though I did the action. The second time I joined a group and that part was already done.

I think for some, the issue would be not the mounts, but the fact that Anet would be going back on something that made them different from the rest.

Im rather happy with my armor combo, just waiting on dagger skins that I like.

But this game isnt all about competing! I care more about what Im wearing rather than what anyone else is wearing. I dont care what someone else wears, If someone is wearing something cool, Ill say “wow, thats cool!” if they arent, well i see no difference. What I care about is my environment and immersion and seeing a stupid motorcycle drive by is ridiculous. Theres no lore behind mounts, in most games that they appear in its just a random assortment that really has no ties to the world. Id hate for that to happen to such a beautiful game.

But to answer your question, yes, I think its pointless to have a Halloween event AFTER Halloween. Im sorry that you were inconvenienced by a severe storm (which btw Anet has no control over) but to ask for an extension is in my opinion kinda absurd. Just wait for the next update and Christmas.

I think that there is a limit of 33%. I have found that I do move faster then my 25% passive when I use my dodge that has a trait applied to it to move faster. I could be completely wrong but Im pretty sure it is this.
