Hey guys, I need some help.

As the title states, I’m having trouble standing up to condi engineers, perplexity and otherwise. They just do way too many condis and I melt before I can do much damage.

I’m just wondering, is there a way to beat these guys or is it just one of those things I have to live with. I run d/d, 0/6/6/0/2, valk armor with zerk trinkets. This is for WvW specifically for roaming/1v1’s.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

See above. Necessity of teamwork has not changed, and the difficulty has changed for the better.

This hasn’t changed. The mobs are still there, you still get an item from them.

The real reason is (as silly as it sounds) it’s a privacy issue. Anet didn’t want people knowing that others had bought or not bought an item, so they restricted gifting to items that can stack. This was in a dev post a long time ago in response to this exact question i believe.

Piken Square is a European server, so it’s to be expected that you will hear many different languages playing there.

This is correct, I realize now that I had my weapons in the wrong places.

OP, have you tried un-equipping and re-equipping the weapon with bloodlust?

I believe that in order to get stacks, you have to use your offhand weapon to strike the killing blow. So the 4th or 5th skill.

There was first person mode in the edge of the mists beta testing. I tried it out for a minute and it made me feel sick so I turned it back off and never tried it again.

First off, what are your intentions with D/D? Are you going to be stealthing and backstabbing or are you going to 3spam? Is there a reason you’re going so far in to Trickery?

Until you answer those I can’t really give you any advice, but there is one glaring problem with both of the builds.

Neither has any condition cleanse.

This is a death sentence in any manner of PvP these days. Unless you’re running with 3 guardians, I highly recommend adding some in either your utilities or traits.

Hi all, long time thief here with a quick question.

I was roaming one night and got absolutely wrecked by a D/P thief. I didn’t land one cloak and dagger the whole time and it was just completely frustrating. Usually by the end of fights I know what I did wrong and how to overcome it next time but for this encounter I’m stumped.

So, how does a D/D thief overcome a competent D/P thief?

Keep in mind this is WvW and I am running a 0/30/30/0/10 full valk power build.

It had nothing to do with rookies or people not surviving to zerk gear.

All the condi users have been crying since the beginning about them being “completely useless”, so wise Anet is bestowing upon us this gift. (Why you ask? Not a clue.)

It would also come with a new gold sink upon getting caught stealing; Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence!

If you think precursor crafting is going to be any less tedious than farming 400 – 800g, you might want to rethink that. Anet has stated that they do not want to shock the market too badly and making it easy will do just that.

I wouldn’t mind if the PvP skills/traits/gear was applied to PvE. It is such a more elegant and manageable system. PvE runes, food, gear is the source of all balance issues.

I and many others would quit this game instantly. The sPvP gear system is garbage and it is the reason why I don’t step foot in there unless it’s to check out armor
