I dunno, try your luck with a support ticket. Even though I do not agree with getting refunds on things you have used/enjoyed, they did change its functionality. I’ve seen people getting refunds for more ridiculous things so there may be a chance.

You aren’t turning real money into gold, you are turning real money into gems, THEN converting it into gold. This nullifies any legal effect of “gambling” because you are using in game currency to get in game currency. In effect, you didn’t pay to get a lottery ticket, you paid for x amount of gems, which you are given. What you choose to do with those gems is not Anet’s responsibility.

Could you sue Anet? sure. Are you going to win? I can almost guarantee you wont.

OP, this type of lottery would reward a person way too much. Maybe if the person gets 1% of the pool and the rest is deleted this would work (and be an effective gold sink). Or perhaps if a couple thousand people share the pool.

What exactly would this achieve besides destroying every single equipment market on the TP? Yeah, lets put up hundreds of thousands of used equipment on the TP so prices can come crashing down to the vendor level, that will surely help the market!

Tbh I don’t see them ever increasing the number of trait points unless they completely rework them and add new ones. Many builds will become OP and balancing this would be a complete nightmare. I can see them doing it alongside nerfing quite a few of the grandmaster traits, which is something I do not want to see

If they ever added cooldowns to thieves I would delete my account and never play this game again.

I have a question on your rotation. If you use steal and then IS. Don’t you loose the ability shadow return to get away if you use IS when you are already on the target?

You don’t lose it per se. Basically, the main reason for that IS is to make sure that they don’t get away. I’ll give you an example:

>I jump a target with steal from long range
>They are good and dodge/use some kind of teleport/walk away before I can get to PW
>I’m left swinging at thin air

What that IS does is no matter where they go from the point that I initiate with my steal, as long as I have them targeted I will be right on them with a quick stun to PW.

One other thing, you mentioned the need to get away, but that is mostly unnecessary due to the evade on PW and the fact that “most” (I say most as I cannot guarantee it) enemies don’t stand and fight where you initiated.

Any smart enemy will move away from you to get a good look at you/surroundings and to prepare for the fight. This movement takes you away from the SR point, which you can then return to if things aren’t going your way.

They have already said they are fixing this.

I believe the 2 lowest costing crafts cost around 10 gold together, so that will get you to 74, then i recommend leveling to 80 and saving your money for equipment.

I’m going to chime in with probably the worst build for a new s/p thief, but it suits my playstyle perfectly and after over 1k hours on my thief, it’s what I have chosen as my favorite. I have built and tweaked it to best suit the way I play and therefore it may need some tweaking to work for you.

First of all, This is a PvE/WvW duo/group roaming build. You will not survive in dungeons until you get good at it and you will not be able to effectively hold points in sPvP. The squishiness will be something to get used to but since I see you already use zerker it may not be that much of a change. IMO, health is wasted on a thief, a good thief should not be taking damage in the first place, they should be in and out, making use of blinds and evades whenever possible.

I run 10/30/0/0/30, I have absolutely no access to stealth besides group stealthing with pistol #5, which is such an excellent tool for group WvW. It gives you mug, It gives you the obvious perks of the crit line, and 30 in trickery also makes your steal extremely useful, especially with the recent buffs. A long range gap closer/escape/heal/daze on a 21.5sec cooldown? How can you beat that!

Upon approaching an enemy 1v1, my routine is this: Steal>lock them down with IS>pop haste and PW>if they are not dead, quickly use return and IS>PW again. If they have no stun breakers and are squishy I can almost guarantee that they will be dead by this time.

Once again, this build will not work for everyone. I hate the idea of stealth so I have chosen to instead use a combination of evades, shadowsteps and life steal to keep myself alive, while still seeing huge numbers.

Waypoint costs are a significant gold sink and removing that gold sink would have drastic effects on the economy.

As a long time Jormags breath user, I disagree. I love the way it looks right now and I wouldn’t be very happy if they changed the hilt like that.

First off, how is gw2 “completely” PvP oriented? I recall a huge number of PvE updates in the past month alone. The holy trinity is an outdated, overused concept that worked in very few games. As for raids, how would you classify them? What do they bring to the game that dungeons do not?

Who says raids would keep people playing? Many forum goers absolutely despise the idea of raids. The title for this thread should be changed to “What is wrong with Guild Wars 2 in my opinion”.

Please keep in mind that a lot of your negatives about the game are the reason people bought the game in the first place. Lack of trinity, no gear grind raid kitten, and good PvP were huge selling points (Still a little iffy about PvP) for a lot of people.

I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree. Enjoy WoW or whatever other game you move on to.

And I usually DO walk everywhere in-game. And when I say ‘walk’ I mean that I actually walk. I haven’t ran in a very long time. Running and waypointing kills the immersion. I only wish we weren’t FORCED to use waypoints to revive upon death. Do you see how that works?

I was mistaken about the nearest waypoint being free when contested.

I guess I just haven’t experienced it for a long long time, but how can you possible be too broke to not afford a waypoint, especially if you don’t use them as you say?

And, as for your forced waypoint use, what do you suggest as an alternative? That we’re automatically ported somewhere else upon death? What if I don’t want to go there? Then I’m “forced” to waypoint to the place I want to go.

I see no problem with the system as is personally.

Waypointing is free if you don’t have enough coin to revive. Maybe you should actually experience things before complaining about them?

Waypoint costs are a necessary goldsink to keep the economy in check. There is no possible way that these fees could or should ever be removed. Walk if you don’t want to spend the coin.

I would love this. Whether it’s in the gem store or an expensive craft, I’d get it for sure.

Because PvP skins have no effect on the economy they are able to give them out. If they were to add PvE items they would have to blues or whites etc.
