And you can make it big at the casino. And people did get them. And people like me also bought them off of the TP which was another option. also, 1000 gems is like 12 bucks, I dont think you have much to complain about considering others spent 100’s of dollars on chests.

There should also be a rule that if you spend half your savings at the casino every month then you should come out ahead every time. I’m not trying to troll you or anything, it was announced as a chance to get a skin and thats what it ended up being.

Its not that the drop rates are so low, its that everyone and their grandma wants the greatsword skin, which drives up the prices. Take a look at the dagger for instance, I assume it has the same drop rate as the greatsword but sells for 2 gold right now because no one wants it. Everyone needs to stop blaming the drop rate of the chests for ruining their halloween.

yeah, I will agree that they definitely are making more of an effort on some items cough greatswords cough then others, I really hope that they change this as I don’t really like any of the current dagger skins available. Here’s to hoping someone discovers a new recipe or Anet decides its time for some new daggers!

The dagger was what looked like a zombie hand holding a dagger and blood on the dagger. I didnt equip it so Im not too sure how it looks when youre holding it

Yes you are able to preview it, I ended up buying a dagger to see it and realized it wasnt for me so I sold it back.

I dont understand all the hate. You guys shouldve known what you were getting into by investing in chests. I’m having a lot of fun carving pumpkins and costume brawling while youre moaning on the forums about how you didnt win the lottery.

The clipping issue with the duelist pants that makes my daggers go straight up my kitten Really Anet? Did anyone even bother to try out the pants before launch?

Thanks for letting me know about this! This makes this game even more fantastic then it already is! Changes dont show up in screenies so I took a pic with my phone, keep in mind that I played with the settings a bit but its pretty straight forward

If i am in an area farming, and someone comes along and sees me botting, or is just rubbed the wrong way, or even…heck…just immature and wants to rub his jollies, he can report me as a bot 10 times and suddenly I am disconnected.

Same thing can happen in WvW. Someone stands on the fort of WvW and targets an enemy and begins to report them over and over and ‘poof’ they go away until they are…administrated.

Bad idea. I like where your head is at, but BAD idea.

Hmm.. Perhaps they could make it so a single account can only report a person once, although I’m pretty sure its more complicated then I just made it sound. I dunno, I’m just tired of walking past the same group of bots in every zone for days at a time. I feel Anet really needs to step up and take care of them before it really gets out of hand.

My guess is that the costumes will be town clothes. I’m really hoping that they are armor skins but it would make a lot more sense if they kept them as town clothes.

You know what would work better? If they actually banned the bots when theyre first reported rather than letting them run around for weeks. Seriously, how hard is it to have it so that after 10 or so reports the character is suspended until Anet reviews the account, and upon finding out they are a bot, permabans them.

Do you get angry every time google gives you your search results? How about when you get an email notification. I see no problem with this and encourage creative developers to work on it.

Yes, they have added these to the chests, although I’ve heard of people opening hundreds of chests to try and get one so I wouldnt hold your breath

Third party gold selling/buying and botting have literally been programmed into this game for some unknown reason. Remove player/player item/gold trading and restrict it to the trading post and you will make it much harder for bots to get their product to gold buyers.

Hey and while were at it, lets just get rid of the trading post as well, Since thats a way gold sellers sell people money. Lets ruin the game for everyone just to get rid of the bots, that will show them! Everything can just be account bound and we can all farm happily for our endgame items.

1. Apparently its a supply and demand market, although I have my doubts.

2. You just answered your own question, people have much more money then they did at launch so naturally people can afford more gems. And you must understand, gems are unlimited. no matter what, you’re going to be able to buy them in any amount at any time. the scarcity of gems plays no factor in the rising prices.

3. I think you’re looking at this increase as a constant, which it isn’t. With the Halloween event coming up, people are stocking up on gems and after the event or maybe even during it (depending on what they release) I believe that the price of gems is going to go down again. In no case do I see gems going below 100gems = 1g ever.

1. For many reasons. in many cases, people dont understand that the tp takes money from you to list it as well as a cut of the profits. Also, people just want to get rid of it quickly if its taking up space. The sell from anywhere mechanic enables this.

2. There are still some mats that you can make money off of. Crafting is a lost cause due to the sheer amount of people that can craft, this creates a huge supply and not much demand except for a few select items.

3. Do your homework. Try different things and see what works and if you dont want to spend hours figuring out ways to make money, perhaps the TP isnt for you.

4. No. FIFO means that Joe can come in after you and sell the item at the same price, but a buyer will buy your item first. Undercutting is used to avoid this, by listing his item at a lower price, Joe’s item will sell before yours because the buyer gets the cheapest listing.

5. There are many ways to get money besides dungeon runs, in fact that’s one of the worst ways to do it. Dungeon farming is for getting that particular dungeons armor skin.

Reminds me of my days playing perfect world as a giant wolf in a suit, and it was definitely way more incentive for me to actually buy gems. As it stands right now, I have no interest in buying town clothes. Im also tired of seeing every medium armor class running around in the exact same armor as me because its one of the few that look good. In a game that is mostly cosmetic based after lv 80, limiting the cosmetic choices a player can make is very counter-intuitive

armor set is the exotic duelist medium armors, though it believe this issue is caused by the pants specifically. did no one even try them out before release?

People would just sit and do DE’s all day and not have to leave to go to the TP. I dont agree with this. But then again, I disagree with the “sell from anywhere” idea as well so maybe I’m just old fashioned.

The sales tax goes towards socialized healthcare and to feed hungry, disabled tyrians who cant work.
