- The world you pick is your server. If you’re into RP, go tarnished coast, If you want to WvWvW, go for one of the very high population servers.
- World transfer is free at the moment, though you can only do it every 7 days, I assume it will be a gem cost eventually
- I would go high population so you get the most amount of active people in the starting zones

There is no open world PvP or PvP servers in this game, PvP or WvWvW is accessed through an in game option and you can do so at any time and at any level

Regardless of anything they or anybody else says, a company is a company and a company solely exists to make money. If they can make more money by doing something, you’re darn right they’ll do it. This is not a bad thing, nor is it a new thing, every successful company does this.

I’m just curious from a game development standpoint why they make it so accessing an out of bounds state causes a character to swim?

Because in most games, the world development starts with a static square of water, on which land is built through various means. This is equivalent to sea level on our earth. A lot of the times, even though there are no water textures, this water level continues on infinitely and, since the swim animation is called once you touch the water level on a certain point on your character, this leads to the impression that you are swimming in empty space when you leave the bounds of what the developer wanted people to see.

Just my assumption on why it happens, not fact.

I don’t agree with this, the icons already there discourage active exploring, this would make it even worse.

OP, I guess I can’t really relate because I don’t really have this problem, but I recommend not waypointing as much, The game world really is beautiful if you take the time to walk.

There’s nothing for them to do, the extra cogs were added so that people who’s dungeons got bugged were able to obtain the mini’s.

The bell is obtained from all sizes I think I remember a dev post saying, but I’m not completely sure.

I stumbled across this a little while ago and remembered why this game is my favorite game ever. Little things like this are hidden everywhere and it really helps make the world seem alive. I just wish there was a quest or something to go along with his backstory.

If you buy gold from the gold sellers and break the tos you might as well be banned.

Gold sellers don’t buy the game/accounts. They steal them from people who have already paid/steal credit card info and make purchases to use the game until they get banned. They couldn’t care less if they get banned because they just have to fire up another account and get back to farming.

Actually, its not the models that are inhibiting any kinds of profit, its the fact that Anet made it accessible to far too many people and allowed people to level from 1 – 80 quickly.

There is rarely any profits to be made from crafting and, and unless a complete overhaul of the crafting functions and how mats are gathered happens, there never will be.

Except its not a tax, its a gold sink. This isn’t the real world, and yes, it is a game, therefore it has to function differently. You can’t print money in the real world, but in the game that happens every single time you pick up any type of tradeable object or currency. Therefore, gold sinks are put in place to reduce the inflation this causes.

That’s kind of the point of a stealth class. I admit that there is some culling issues but from what I gather its in the works. And it really isn’t as big of a deal as you seem to think it is.

There is no way that these changes will be implemented. These gold sinks are needed in order to keep the economy where it is right now. You’ll just have to deal with it. It’s really not that much of an issue.

There are ways to introduce additional factors to adjust drop rates which would not significantly interfere with current market conditions.

But there really isn’t. Just a mere mention on the forums that something might get changed makes people panic and has huge effects on the market. There’s simply too many people sharing one market for anything besides what we have now to keep the market the way it is.

I have the Naga and it has worked perfectly since launch, its awesome having all 10 skills, dodge, F1 and weapon swap without having to move my hand from WASD

Consider yourself lucky. One look at the inflation in the price of Magic Glue and Stuffing suggests the overall chance of success as much lower than what you experienced.

No, not really. While I admit 2 tonics with 5 tries is quite rare, the reason why the mats are so high priced is because;

1. More people are finding out about the endless tonics = more demand
2. More people are finished the dungeons and cant get any more glue or stuffing from them = less supply

And what recipes are you referring to? Because to make tier materials there is no ‘you might or might not get them’ and when you waste 500 +orichalcum, ectos, mystic coins for a unique exotic weapon skin there is no ‘you might get some orichalcum back and no weapon’

So the question is, are you new to this game?

How about precursors? How many people wasted hundreds of gold on those? Plenty.

And this is completely different because a this isnt a recipe that is 100%. You took the chance and I do hope that all affected will have an opportunity to get their frames back but honestly, people blaming Anet for their own actions are very immature.
